While mainlobe jamming (MLJ) exists, the mainlobe of adaptive pattern will subject to serious distortion, which results in a failure of detecting and tracking targets by monopulse technique. Therefore, a monopulse angle estimation algorithm based on combining sum-difference beam and auxiliary beam is presented. This algorithm utilizes both high gain difference beams and high gain auxiliary beams for cancelling the mainlobe jammer and multiple sidelobe jammers (SLJs) while keeping an adap- tive monopulse ratio. Theoretical analysis and simulation results indicate that the serious invalidation of monopulse technique in MLJ and SLJs scenarios is resolved well, which improves the monopulse angle accuracy greatly. Furthermore, the proposed algorithm is of simple implementation and low computational complexity.展开更多

This method can accuracy estimate DOA using one snapshot modified data, called the temporal and spatial two-dimensional vector reconstruction (TSR) method. The key idea is to apply the D3 approach which can extract the signal of given frequency but null out other frequency signals in temporal domain. Then the spatial vector reconstruction processing is used to estimate the angle of the spatial coherent signal source based on extract signal data. Compared with the common temporal and spatial processing approach, the TSR method has a lower computational load, higher real-time performance, robustness and angular accuracy of DOA. The proposed algorithm can be directly applied to the phased array radar of coherent pulses. Simulation results demonstrate the performance of the proposed technique.展开更多

The strong coupling between localized surface plasmon resonances (LSPRs) presenting in metallic nanostructures and surface plasmon polaritons (SPPs) propagating at the metallic film surface leads to changes of resonance reflection properties, resulting in enhanced sensitivity of SPR sensors. The effects of thickness of the metallic films, grating period and metal materials on the refractive index sensitivity of the device are investigated. The refractive index sensitivity of nanograting-based SPR sensors is predicted to be about 543 nm/RIU (refractive index unit) using optimized structure parameters. Our study on SPR sensors using planar metallic films closely coupled to nanogratings demonstrates the potential for significant improvement in refractive index sensitivity.展开更多

Already, China must import nearly half of its oil. Concerns about power capacity shortages and air pollution are all adding urgency and pressure to switch to alternative technologies and renewable energy. Among renewable energy sources, wind power and solar photovoltaic power are playing key roles in China, and are the fastest-growing power generation technologies. So this paper focuses on them and analyzes the corresponding technical properties of them. First of all, wind power transforms the kinetic energy from the wind into electricity by using wind turbines. Thus the basic components of wind turbines are described. Wind speed is an important factor to wind energy. So the features of wind speed are analyzed, and the wind energy is calculated. Second, the technical properties of solar photovoltaic power are discussed, including photovoltaic cells and modules, battery, inverter and photovoltaic controller. Photovoltaic energy is also analyzed and calculated. Third, the environmental impacts of wind power and solar photovoltaic power are presented. Finally, the relevant conclusions are drawn.展开更多

These marine structures that can not afford the hit of wrack or will destroy the wrack must be well considered when they are placed near harbor and waterway or other water area with ship running. The risk zone should be consulted according to tide and weather conditions to protect structures and ships in necessary.A method is presented here to simulate the risk zone by 2D numerical hydraulic model with tidal current, wave, wind and water depth considered. This model can be used to built early-warning and protect system for special marine structure.展开更多
