This paper takes global manufacturing listed companies from 2010 to 2022 as samples and uses the difference-in-differences(DID)method to empirically examine the impact of the internationalization of ESG standards on t...This paper takes global manufacturing listed companies from 2010 to 2022 as samples and uses the difference-in-differences(DID)method to empirically examine the impact of the internationalization of ESG standards on the trade competitiveness of multinational enterprises and their mechanisms.The research finds that the internationalization of ESG standards significantly enhances the trade competitiveness of multinational manufacturing enterprises,and this effect is dynamic and sustainable.The mechanism analysis indicates that the internationalization of ESG standards exerts its influence through three pathways:reducing enterprise financing costs,promoting technological innovation,and enhancing brand reputation.The heterogeneity analysis shows that this effect is more significant in enterprises from developed countries,high-pollution industries,and larger enterprises.This paper provides micro-level evidence for understanding the economic consequences of the internationalization of ESG standards and offers policy implications for multinational enterprises to cope with the global ESG rule changes and enhance their trade competitiveness.展开更多

We explored the relationship between Internet altruistic behavior(IAB)and subjective well-being(SWB)to estimate the effects and directionality of that predictive relationship between the two.Employing cross-lagged mod...We explored the relationship between Internet altruistic behavior(IAB)and subjective well-being(SWB)to estimate the effects and directionality of that predictive relationship between the two.Employing cross-lagged models we examined the interaction between IAB and SWB,among 339 college students(females=53.10%,mean age=19.02 years,SD=1.56 years).The students were tracked twice in a period of 5 months.Results showed that college students’IAB increased significantly,while their SWB remained relatively stable during the two measurement periods.IAB and SWB had significant simultaneous and sequential correlations.SWB at Time 1 positively predicted IAB at Time 2,however,IAB at Time 1 did not significantly predict SWB at Time 2.Moreover,there was cross-gender invariance in the cross-lagged effect between IAB and SWB.Research topics in the current environment exhibit remarkable practical significance.展开更多
The current international dissemination of China’s human rights discourse predominantly adopts a“sender-oriented”model,emphasizing the output of human rights discourse by transmitters while overlooking strategy adj...The current international dissemination of China’s human rights discourse predominantly adopts a“sender-oriented”model,emphasizing the output of human rights discourse by transmitters while overlooking strategy adjustments based on audience feedback.To some extent,the current approach has resulted in characteristics such as strong practical implementation but weak discourse,limited theoretical foundation,and insufficient recognition in China’s international human rights communication.Consequently,while China has achieved remarkable progress in its human rights endeavors,human rights issues remain a critical area of stigmatization by some Western countries.An“effect-oriented”mechanism for the international dissemination of China’s human rights discourse,therefore,aims to address this challenge by re-centering the audience as active participants in the communication process.By emphasizing the dual nature of human rights’international communication,this approach leverages the reflexive monitoring of initial transmitters throughout the dissemination process to finally construct a dynamic human rights discourse framework responsive to different time and space contexts.This mechanism directly confronts the diverse backgrounds of global audiences and the resulting varied interpretations of China’s human rights discourse.It advocates for dynamic evaluation of global dissemination outcomes based on audience feedback and the timely adaptation of communication strategies according to context.By doing so,it seeks to effectively advance China’s human rights communication efforts and enhance dissemination efficiency on the global scale.展开更多
The International Commission on Stratigraphy(ICS)has been producing and updating its International Chro-nostratigraphic Chart for several decades.The chart communicates higher-order divisions of geological time and ac...The International Commission on Stratigraphy(ICS)has been producing and updating its International Chro-nostratigraphic Chart for several decades.The chart communicates higher-order divisions of geological time and actual knowledge on the numerical ages of their bound-aries.Distributed via the ICS website www.stratigraphy.org the chart promotes use in graphic,tabulated and further digital forms in multiple languages.This paper is a status update,eleven years since the last such publication,cov-ering activities between 2012 and 2024.Chart updates during the past decade have echoed the ICS’s primary objective of precisely defining a global standard set of time-correlative units(Systems,Series,Stages)for stratigraphic successions worldwide.These units are,in turn,the basis for the Periods,Epochs,and Ages of the Geological Time Scale.Their standardization is fundamental for expressing geological knowledge,in application and education,out-reach and continuing research.The chart offers a frame-work through which regional-scale higher-resolution divisions can be linked,equated and collated.Likewise it offers a framework for digital representation of the Geological Time Scale.Maintenance and distribution of chart versions on the web has been a manual endeavour,a process that ICS is upgrading to serve an increasingly digital world.展开更多
Internal solitary waves(ISWs)have considerable energy to drive the mixing of water masses in the Sulu Sea.The propagation speed is one of the critical parameters in quantifying the energy budget of the ISWs.We collect...Internal solitary waves(ISWs)have considerable energy to drive the mixing of water masses in the Sulu Sea.The propagation speed is one of the critical parameters in quantifying the energy budget of the ISWs.We collected 1354 groups of ISWs’speeds from tandem satellite remote sensing images with temporal intervals shorter than 25 min and analyzed their spatial and multi-scale temporal variations in the Sulu Sea.We found that water depth plays an important role in modulating the spatial variation of wave speeds,which increase exponentially with water depth with a power of 0.26.Tidal currents,ocean stratification,background circulation,and climate affect the temporal variations of wave speeds from days to months or years.The fortnightly spring/neap tidal currents cause daily variations of wave speeds up to 40%by modulating the ISW amplitudes.In addition to the well-accepted results that monthly variations of wave speeds are related to density stratification,we found that enhanced stratification increases wave speeds,and the background circulation leads to a maximum decrease of 0.27 m/s in the linear counterparts of wave speed.Moreover,the averaged wave speed collected in October is lower than the corresponding linear one possibly due to some unknown dynamical processes or underestimation of background current.As for the interannual variations,we show that wave speed increases in La Niña years and decreases in El Niño years as a result of the climatic modulation on the depth of the maximum value of buoyancy frequency.展开更多

文摘The current international dissemination of China’s human rights discourse predominantly adopts a“sender-oriented”model,emphasizing the output of human rights discourse by transmitters while overlooking strategy adjustments based on audience feedback.To some extent,the current approach has resulted in characteristics such as strong practical implementation but weak discourse,limited theoretical foundation,and insufficient recognition in China’s international human rights communication.Consequently,while China has achieved remarkable progress in its human rights endeavors,human rights issues remain a critical area of stigmatization by some Western countries.An“effect-oriented”mechanism for the international dissemination of China’s human rights discourse,therefore,aims to address this challenge by re-centering the audience as active participants in the communication process.By emphasizing the dual nature of human rights’international communication,this approach leverages the reflexive monitoring of initial transmitters throughout the dissemination process to finally construct a dynamic human rights discourse framework responsive to different time and space contexts.This mechanism directly confronts the diverse backgrounds of global audiences and the resulting varied interpretations of China’s human rights discourse.It advocates for dynamic evaluation of global dissemination outcomes based on audience feedback and the timely adaptation of communication strategies according to context.By doing so,it seeks to effectively advance China’s human rights communication efforts and enhance dissemination efficiency on the global scale.
文摘The International Commission on Stratigraphy(ICS)has been producing and updating its International Chro-nostratigraphic Chart for several decades.The chart communicates higher-order divisions of geological time and actual knowledge on the numerical ages of their bound-aries.Distributed via the ICS website www.stratigraphy.org the chart promotes use in graphic,tabulated and further digital forms in multiple languages.This paper is a status update,eleven years since the last such publication,cov-ering activities between 2012 and 2024.Chart updates during the past decade have echoed the ICS’s primary objective of precisely defining a global standard set of time-correlative units(Systems,Series,Stages)for stratigraphic successions worldwide.These units are,in turn,the basis for the Periods,Epochs,and Ages of the Geological Time Scale.Their standardization is fundamental for expressing geological knowledge,in application and education,out-reach and continuing research.The chart offers a frame-work through which regional-scale higher-resolution divisions can be linked,equated and collated.Likewise it offers a framework for digital representation of the Geological Time Scale.Maintenance and distribution of chart versions on the web has been a manual endeavour,a process that ICS is upgrading to serve an increasingly digital world.

文摘Internal solitary waves(ISWs)have considerable energy to drive the mixing of water masses in the Sulu Sea.The propagation speed is one of the critical parameters in quantifying the energy budget of the ISWs.We collected 1354 groups of ISWs’speeds from tandem satellite remote sensing images with temporal intervals shorter than 25 min and analyzed their spatial and multi-scale temporal variations in the Sulu Sea.We found that water depth plays an important role in modulating the spatial variation of wave speeds,which increase exponentially with water depth with a power of 0.26.Tidal currents,ocean stratification,background circulation,and climate affect the temporal variations of wave speeds from days to months or years.The fortnightly spring/neap tidal currents cause daily variations of wave speeds up to 40%by modulating the ISW amplitudes.In addition to the well-accepted results that monthly variations of wave speeds are related to density stratification,we found that enhanced stratification increases wave speeds,and the background circulation leads to a maximum decrease of 0.27 m/s in the linear counterparts of wave speed.Moreover,the averaged wave speed collected in October is lower than the corresponding linear one possibly due to some unknown dynamical processes or underestimation of background current.As for the interannual variations,we show that wave speed increases in La Niña years and decreases in El Niño years as a result of the climatic modulation on the depth of the maximum value of buoyancy frequency.
文摘This article explores the academic discourse on“Made in China”from the perspective of the Discourse-Historical Approach(DHA),aiming to understand how this discourse is constructed,evaluated,and transformed in the international academic landscape.Drawing on a corpus of highly cited English academic papers,the study examines the discursive strategies used to shape the evolving image of“Made in China”.The findings indicate a clear shift in academic perception-from a label associated with cheap labor and low-end production to one increasingly linked to technological innovation,environmental responsibility,and global cooperation.Through keyword analysis,intertextual mapping,and discursive strategy identification,this article offers insights into how language reflects and reproduces broader geopolitical and ideological shifts.
文摘Against the backdrop of the comprehensive advancement of curriculum ideological and political construction in colleges and universities,art general education courses,as important carriers for the integration of aesthetic education and moral education,have their educational value awaiting systematic exploration.This article takes the"Accordion Performance Art"course at Beijing International Studies University as the research object and systematically expounds on the ideological and political construction path from skill training to cultural education.It constructs a three-dimensional educational framework of"technique-aesthetics-value",focuses on analyzing characteristic practices such as the infiltration of red music culture,the penetration of ethnic music elements,and the application of Marxist philosophical principles,and innovatively proposes a progressive teaching model of"situational experience-dialectical thinking-cultural communication".Through the reconstruction of teaching content,innovation of teaching methods,and optimization of evaluation systems,the organic integration of accordion performance teaching and ideological and political education has been realized,providing an operable practical reference paradigm for the ideological and political construction of art general education courses.The research shows that the ideological and political construction of art courses must be based on the characteristics of the discipline,with artistic practice as the carrier and cultural inheritance as the link,in order to achieve the in-depth goal of"educating people with aesthetics and cultivating people with culture".
