The analytical formulae of self-absorption for γ-ray throughout the cylinder have been obtained. The intensity of γ-ray is a function of γ-ray outgoing directions and cylindrical configurations, accordingly one can acquire the information about geometrical configuration of cylindrical fissile materials through multi-location measurements. Further more, the method is given in this article. The result can be applied to the fissile material safe- guard, such as nuclear monitoring and verifying.展开更多
Monte Carlo simulation has become an important tool for estimating the reliability andavailability of dynamic system, since conventional numerical methods are no longer efficient whenthe size of the system to solve is...Monte Carlo simulation has become an important tool for estimating the reliability andavailability of dynamic system, since conventional numerical methods are no longer efficient whenthe size of the system to solve is large. However, evaluating by a simulation the probability of oc-currence of very rare events means playing a very large number of histories of the system, whichleads to unacceptable computing time. Highly efficient Monte Carlo should be worked out. In thispaper, based on the integral equation describing state transitions of Markov dynamic system, a u-niform Monte Carlo for estimating unavailability is presented. Using free-flight estimator, directstatistical estimation Monte Carlo is achieved. Using both free-flight estimator and biased proba-bility space of sampling, weighted statistical estimation Monte Carlo is also achieved. Five MonteCarlo schemes, including crude simulation, analog simulation, statistical estimation based oncrude and analog simulation, and weighted statistical estimation, are used for calculating the un-availability of a repairable Con/3/30 : F system. Their efficiencies are compared with each other.The results show the weighted statistical estimation Monte Carlo has the smallest variance and thehighest efficiency in very rare events simulation.展开更多

Using this new model, the mean charge states and the opacity are calculated for NLTE high- plasmas and compared with other results. The agreement with AA model is poor at low electron density. The present results agree well with those of DCA model within 10%. The calculations show that the NLTE effects on opacity are strong.展开更多
Polycarbonate foil stacks were irradiated with 2.1 GeV Kr ions under vacuum at room temperature.The modifications in chemical structure induced by the irradiation were studied by means of Fourier transform infra-red (...Polycarbonate foil stacks were irradiated with 2.1 GeV Kr ions under vacuum at room temperature.The modifications in chemical structure induced by the irradiation were studied by means of Fourier transform infra-red (FTIR) and ultraviolet visible (UV/VIS) spectroscopies. FTIR measurements reveal that material degradationsthrough bond breaking are the main effects. Alkyne end groups are produced by the irradiation. UV/VIS measure-ments indicate a shifting of the absorption edge from ultraviolet towards visible, and a strong increase of absorbancein the ultraviolet and visible regions. The changes in absorbance induced by the irradiation at wavelengths of 380 nm,450 nm and 500 nm scale well with Sne (Se is electronic energy loss) where the value of n increases from 1.69 to 2.02with increasing of the wavelength. The Collisional-Radiative model is adopted for non-LTE population calculations. Configuration-averaged rate coefficients that needed in the rate equations are obtained based on the first order perturbation theory. The Hatree-Fock-Slater self-consistent-field method is used to calculate electron wave functions. The present model is applied to the calculation of emissivity from a Ar plasma. The features of the spectra are in good agreement with those calculated by other theoretical models, but the data of the integrated emissivity differ by a factor 2~8.展开更多

The method has the advantages that the controlled system remains conservative property and theselection of the perturbation has a considerable diversity. We illustrate this method with two area preserving maps: thenon-monotonic twist map which is a mixed system and the perturbed cat map which exhibits hard chaos. Numericalresults show that the strong chaos can be effectively controlled into regular motions, and the final states are alwaysquasiperiodic ones. We have found the properties of the characteristic frequency and the amplitude of phase locking in regular motion when the measure synchronization of coupled systems is obtained. The relations between the change of the largest Lyapunov exponent and the course of phase desynchronization are also discussed in coupled systems, some useful results are obtained. A new approach is proposed for describing the measure synchronization of coupled systems numerically,which is advantage in judging the measure synchronization, especially for the coupled systems in nonregular region.展开更多
