For the production of energy source,we must reckon with the energy balance of the whole process. Densification and processing of microalgae can consume 50% - 70% of the energy that can be extracted from the cells,?therefore the cultivation should use such a little energy as it possible. In closed cultivation systems,?there are three main energy intensive steps: artificial illumination, dissolution of gas compounds and mixing. We have carried out our measurements in our lab-scale screening photobioreactor system for the investigation of the most energy effective program for aeration. We have found the aeration program considerable solution for lower energy consumption in?algae cultivation.展开更多
The drug carrier function of single protein nanoparticles,i.e.,each individual protein molecule covered by a very thin,porous and few nanometer thick polymer layer,has been investigated.This layer around protein molec...The drug carrier function of single protein nanoparticles,i.e.,each individual protein molecule covered by a very thin,porous and few nanometer thick polymer layer,has been investigated.This layer around protein molecule is very thin,about 3-5 nm thick and highly porous,thus it does not reduce seriously the enzymatic function of protein molecule.The spatial structure of encapsulated protein molecule,which is essential in its function,can be stabilized by this polymer layer.Bovine serum albumin was used as protein drug molecule and it was encapsulated with acrylamide-bisarylamide random copolymer.The polymerization,starting from the modified sites of the surface of bovine serum albumin molecules was initiated by TEMED(tetramethylethylenediamine).These single albumin nanoparticles were painted with fluorescein isothiocyanate.This material was then injected into the inferior vena cava of rats.The treated rats were decapitated after 1 to 10 minutes and its brain was investigated by fluorescent microscopy.It was proved that bovine serum albumin molecules as drugs encapsulated in polymer nano-layer with a reduced size(about 10 nm)can pass through the blood brain barrier.The results suggest that this method is capable of transformation of biomacromolecules to access the brain tissue via the blood.展开更多
Algaetechnology is a significant scope of the international research and developmental work because it’s a green technology that reduces the utterance of impurities and works as a renewing energy source. The CO2 from...Algaetechnology is a significant scope of the international research and developmental work because it’s a green technology that reduces the utterance of impurities and works as a renewing energy source. The CO2 from stack gases of the various flows of manufacturing and the nitrogen from certain technical wastewater are necessary for the plants even as algae. The transaction of CO2 with this object and the utilization stand a good chance by hungarian clime with the teamwork from the technical environment. The technology is a new solution in Hungary which eases utterance of the impurities. As a result of our research we expanded alga polities which utilize the CO2 from refinery’s stack gas and they grow intensively in the continental clime, too. The critical points of the technology are the concentration of the algae suspension and the extraction because of the high investment and operating costs and high operational time. The algae technology in this direction depends on this step. Our aim is to separate the algae mass faster and more economical from the starter solution. The optimization of the separating operations and technologies takes notice of the environmental and economic aspects.展开更多

This dryer type is convenient to use inert particles providing an increased surface are...To eliminate some disadvantages of the conventional spouted bed dryers the mechanically spouted bed (MSB) system was developed. This dryer type is convenient to use inert particles providing an increased surface area for drying of materials of high-moisture content and heat sensitive materials. On three different drying tasks are demonstrated the experimental optimization of process parameters to obtain products of demanded quality. The main object was at drying of AIO(OH) suspension to preserve the particle size under 2.5μm and to obtain product with a moisture content of about 0.05 kg/kg (d.b.). For this reason a very thin particle coating and intensive abrasion had to be assured. At drying of tomato concentrates the thermoplasticity makes the process very difficult. To jump over the deliquescent and sticky state developed at the critical temperature-moisture content values a very short drying time (8-10 s) must be provided. The third task was to form powder-like product from bovine serum albumin (BSA) solution having very low solid content (2-4%). The selected process parameters given in this paper resulted in a mean particle size of less than 20 μm while the soluble oreserved orotein content was higher than 90%.展开更多
