文摘Background:The bacterial biofilm poses a significant challenge to traditional antibiotic therapy. There is a great need to develop novel antibiofilm agents combined with biofilm disrupting and bacteria-killing without the dependence of antibiotic. Methods:Herein,we prepared ultrasound/magnetic field-responsive ferroferric oxide nanoparticles(Fe_(3)O_(4))/glucose oxidase microbubbles(FGMB)to form a cascade catalytic system for effective removing methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus biofilms.FGMB were prepared through interfacial self-assembly of Fe_(3)O_(4) nanoparticles(NPs)and glucose oxidase(GOx)at the gas-liquid interface stabilized by surfactants.Under ultrasound/magnetic field stimulation,FGMB disrupted biofilm architecture through microbubble collapse-induced microjets and magnetically driven displacement.Simultaneously,ultrasound-triggered rupture of FGMB released GOx and Fe_(3)O_(4) NPs.Glucose can be oxidized by GOx to generate gluconic acid and hydrogen peroxide which was subsequently catalyzed into hydroxyl radicals by Fe_(3)O_(4) NPs,enabling chemical eradication of biofilm-embedded bacteria. Results:Optical microscopy images demonstrated that FGMB have spherical structure with average size of approximately 17μm.FGMB showed a 65.4%decrease in methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus biofilm biomass and 1.1 log bacterial inactivation efficiency(91.2%),suggesting effective biofilm elimination. In vitro experimental results also indicate that FGMB have good biocompatibility. Conclusion:This antibiofilm strategy integrated dual modes of physical biofilm disruption with chemical bacteria-killing shows great potential as a versatile,non-resistant strategy for bacterial biofilm elimination.

文摘Classical computation of electronic properties in large-scale materials remains challenging.Quantum computation has the potential to offer advantages in memory footprint and computational scaling. However, general and viable quantum algorithms for simulating large-scale materials are still limited. We propose and implement random-state quantum algorithms to calculate electronic-structure properties of real materials.Using a random state circuit on a small number of qubits,we employ real-time evolution with first-order Trotter decomposition and Hadamard test to obtain electronic density of states, and we develop a modified quantum phase estimation algorithm to calculate real-space local density of states via direct quantum measurements.Furthermore,we validate these algorithms by numerically computing the density of states and spatial distributions of electronic states in graphene, twisted bilayer graphene quasicrystals, and fractal lattices, covering system sizes from hundreds to thousands of atoms. Our results manifest that the random-state quantum algorithms provide a general and qubit-efficient route to scalable simulations of electronic properties in large-scale periodic and aperiodic materials.

文摘Traditional digitizers for signal readout of PET detectors are based on commercial analog-to-digital converters(ADC).However, the cost and power consumption of an entire electronic readout system based on digitizers for a PET scanner are high.To address this problem,a soft-core ADC based on a field-programmable gate array(FPGA)was proposed. An FPGA-based ADC(FPGA-ADC)combines low loss and high performance. To achieve good performance, the FPGA-ADC requires three calibrations:time-to-digital converter(TDC)length calibration,TDC alignment calibration, and TDC-to-ADC calibration.A prototype front-end electronics based on FPGA-ADC was built to evaluate the performance of time-of-flight positron emission tomography(TOF PET)detectors. Each PET detector consists of a LYSO crystal single-ended coupled to a silicon photomultiplier(SiPM).The experimental results show that the full-width at half-maximum(FWHM)energy resolution for 511 keV gamma photons after saturation correction of the SiPM was 12.3%.The FWHM coincidence timing resolution(CTR)of the TOF PET detector with the readout of the front-end electronic prototype is 385.2 ps.FPGA-ADCbased front-end electronics are very promising for multichannel,low-cost,highly integrated, and power-efficient readout electronic systems for radiation detector applications.

文摘In electrochemical energy storage systems, the sodium-ion battery is typically integrated in the form of a“cell-module-cluster”,but its cross-scale thermal runaway triggering risk and the propagation mechanism remain unclear. This study reveals the cross-scale thermal runaway triggering and propagation behavior of sodium-ion batteries of“cell-module-cluster”under overcharge conditions, and investigates the effects of key factors, including module spacing, triggering cell location, and heat dissipation condition,on the thermal runaway propagation behavior. Results demonstrate that the thermal runaway propagation in a module containing the overcharged cell follows a sequential triggering mode, while thermal runaway in the downstream module exhibits a simultaneous triggering mode with greater severity.Furthermore, increasing the module spacing or enhancing the heat dissipation capacity can effectively reduce the heat accumulation and prevent the trigger of thermal runaway. On the above basis, the multi-dimensional evaluation strategy is proposed to quantitatively assess the hazard of sodium-ion battery cluster thermal runaway. The findings serve as a foundation for the safe design of sodium-ion batteries in energy storage systems.

文摘This study utilizes wet/dry cyclic corrosion testing combined with corrosion big data technology to investigate the mechanism by which chloride ions(Cl^(-))influence the corrosion behavior of 650 MPa high-strength low-alloy(HSLA)steel in industrially polluted environments. The corrosion process of 650 MPa HSLA steel occurred in two distinct stages:an initial corrosion stage and a stable corrosion stage.During the initial phase, the weight loss rate increased rapidly owing to the instability of the rust layer.Notably, this study demonstrated that 650 MPa HSLA steel exhibited superior corrosion resistance in Cl-containing environments. The formation of a corrosion-product film eventually reduced the weight-loss rate. However, the intrusion of Cl^(-)at increasing concentrations gradually destabilized theα/γ^(*)phases of the rust layer, leading to a looser structure and lower polarization resistance(R_(p)).The application of corrosion big data technology in this study facilitated the validation and analysis of the experimental results, offering new insights into the corrosion mechanisms of HSLA steel in chloride-rich environments.

文摘Roof pre-fracture poses a considerable risk during the re-mining of residual coal above abandoned roadways, threatening the safety of the mining faces. This study employs a Winkler foundation beam model for mechanical analysis of roof structures and adopts a multivariate nonlinear analysis approach to explore the synergistic load-bearing effects within the'coal pillar-support-backfill body'system during the fill and re-mining processes above these roadways. The findings demonstrate that backfill mining significantly reduces stress concentrations in coal pillars and reduces excessive bending moments in roofs near abandoned roadways. The roof deflection equation incorporates three critical factors affecting stability during backfill mining:the width of the coal pillar(L_(3)),the working resistance of the support(q_(z)),and the elastic foundation coefficient of the backfill material(kcÞ.Under single-factor conditions, the impact sequence on roof stability in the coal pillar zone is·k_(c)>L_(3)>q_(z).Further,multivariate nonlinear analysis reveals the interactions within the'coal-support-backfill'structure,indicating that in terms of roof control, the interaction terms are ordered as L_(3)·k_(c)>q_(z)·k_(c)>L_(3)q_(z).Therefore,priority should be given to adjusting the coal pillar width and backfill strength, followed by modifications to the support resistance and backfill strength during the recovery of abandoned roadways. An improved understanding of these interactions will help optimize strategies for the recovery of residual coal through abandoned roadways, thereby enhancing the stability and safety of mining operations under complex geological conditions.

文摘To exploit the combined strengthening effects of nanotwins and carbon nanotubes(CNTs)in Cu matrix composites, the nanotwins with a width ranging from 3 to 30 nm were incorporated into the CNTs-reinforced Cu matrix composites using cryogenic rolling and optimizing the initial particle size of the raw Cu powders. The formation of nanotwins in the Cu matrix composite reinforced by only 0.2 wt.%CNTs is accompanied by the increased dislocation density and refined Cu grain size, resulting in much better strength−ductility synergy than the referenced composite without significant nanotwins formation. The analysis of strengthening and toughening mechanisms demonstrates that the strength increment mainly derives from grain refinement strengthening, dislocation strengthening, and nanotwin strengthening. The strength increment from the contribution of the nanotwins accounts for 19.9%of the overall strength increment for the composite.Meanwhile, the retention of good tensile ductility can be reasonably explained by the increased dislocation accommodation ability due to the formed nanotwins and the decreased induced dislocation proliferation.

文摘This study aims to investigate the responses of a perovskite-based direct-conversion dual-layer flat-panel detector(DL-FPD)numerically.To this end,the X-ray sensitivity, spatial resolution quantified by the modulation transfer function(MTF),and detective quantum efficiency(DQE)of the DL-FPD are evaluated numerically using a linear cascade model. In addition, both the single-crystal(SC)and polycrystalline(PC)structures of MAPbI_(3)are investigated, along with various other key parameters such as the material thickness, electric field strength,X-ray beam spectrum, and electronic readout noise. The results demonstrate that SC perovskite consistently exhibits better performance than PC perovskite owing to fewer material defects.Increasing the layer thickness may decrease the MTF,but can also enhance the sensitivity and DQE.Moreover, appropriately increasing the external electric field within the material can improve the sensitivity,MTF,and DQE.Finally, reducing the electronic readout noise can significantly enhance the DQE for low-dose imaging. This study demonstrates the potential of high-quality dual-energy X-ray imaging using direct-conversion perovskite DL-FPDs.

文摘The development of gradient lubrication materials is critical for numerous biomedical applications, particularly in magnifying mechanical properties and service longevity.Herein,we present an innovative approach to fabricate biomimetic gradient lubrication hydrogel through the synergistic integration of three-dimensional(3D)printed metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)nanoparticle network hydrogel skeletons with bioinspired lubrication design.Specifically, robust hydrogel skeletons were engineered through single or multi-material 3D printing, followed by the in situ growth of MOFs nanoparticles within this hydrogel network to create a reinforced,load-bearing architecture.Subsequently, biomimetic lubrication capability was enabled by mechanically coupling another lubricating hydrogel within 3D-printed MOFs nanoparticle network hydrogel skeleton. The superficial layer is highly lubricious to ensure low coefficient of friction(~0.1141)and wear resistance(40,000 cycles),while the deeper layer is stiffer to afford the obligatory mechanical support(fracture strength~2.50 MPa).Furthermore, the gradient architecture stiffness of the hydrogel can be modulated by manipulating the spatial distribution of MOFs within the 3D-printed hydrogel skeleton. As a proof-of-concept,biomimetic gradient hydrogel meniscus structures with C-and O-shaped configurations were constructed by leveraging multi-material 3D printing, demonstrating exceptional lubrication performance. This innovative biomimetic design opens new avenues for creating implantable biomedical gradient lubricating materials with reinforced mechanical and lubrication performance.

文摘The rapid accumulation of spent LiFePO_(4)(LFP)cathodes from retired lithium-ion batteries necessitates the development of effective and environmental-friendly recycling strategies. In this context, direct regeneration has emerged as a promising approach for reclaiming LFP cathode materials, offering a streamlined pathway to restore their electrochemical functionality. We report an integrated regeneration protocol that simultaneously repairs the degraded crystal structure and reconstructs the damaged carbon coating in spent LFP.The regenerated cathode material had superfast lithium-ion diffusion kinetics and a stable cathode-electrolyte interface, giving a remarkable rate capability with specific capacities of 122 m Ah g^(-1)at 5C and 106 m Ah g^(-1)at 10C(1C=170 m A g^(-1)).It also maintained capacities of 110.7 m Ah g^(-1)(5C)and 84.1 m Ah g^(-1)(10C)after 400 cycles. It could be used in harsh environments and could be stably cycled at subzero temperatures(-10 and-20°C)and in solid-state electrolyte batteries.Life cycle assessment combined with economic evaluation using the Ever Batt model reveals that this direct regeneration approach has high economic and environmental benefits.

文摘As silicon-based transistors face fundamental scaling limits, the search for breakthrough alternatives has led to innovations in 3D architectures, heterogeneous integration, and sub-3 nm semiconductor body thicknesses. However, the true effectiveness of these advancements lies in the seamless integration of alternative semiconductors tailored for next-generation transistors. In this review,we highlight key advances that enhance both scalability and switching performance by leveraging emerging semiconductor materials.Among the most promising candidates are 2D van der Waals semiconductors,Mott insulators, and amorphous oxide semiconductors, which offer not only unique electrical properties but also low-power operation and high carrier mobility.Additionally,we explore the synergistic interactions between these novel semiconductors and advanced gate dielectrics, including high-K materials, ferroelectrics, and atomically thin hexagonal boron nitride layers.Beyond introducing these novel material configurations,we address critical challenges such as leakage current and long-term device reliability, which become increasingly crucial as transistors scale down to atomic dimensions.Through concrete examples showcasing the potential of these materials in transistors,we provide key insights into overcoming fundamental obstacles—such as device reliability, scaling down limitations, and extended applications in artificial intelligence—ultimately paving the way for the development of future transistor technologies.
