The Sn−2Al filler metal was utilized to bond W90 tungsten heavy alloys by the ultrasonic-assisted coating technology in atmospheric environment at 250℃.The effects of ultrasonic power and ultrasonic time on microstructure and interfacial strength of Sn−2Al/W90 interface were investigated.The ultrasound improved the wettability of Sn−2Al filler metal on W90 surface.As the ultrasonic power increased and ultrasonic time increased,the size of Al phase in seam decreased.The maximum value of Sn−2Al/W90 interfacial strength reached 30.1 MPa.Based on the acoustic pressure simulation and bubble dynamics,the intensity of cavitation effect was proportional to ultrasonic power.The generated high temperature and high pressure by cavitation effect reached 83799.6 K and 1.26×10^(14) Pa,respectively. 展开更多

Background:With the rapid development of modern emerging technologies,the ethical dilemmas and social controversies triggered by scientific and technological activities have become increasingly prominent.How to guide technology for good and prevent and control technological risks has become an important issue of global concern.Research on science and technology ethics is dedicated to integrating ethical theories into governance practices and constructing ethical models that adapt to the development of the times.Methods:This article systematically reviews the six core approaches of scientific and technological ethics thought,including technological autonomy and political philosophy criticism,responsibility ethics and intergenerational obligations,technological intermediation and the integration of life and the world,ethical principles and normative frameworks,participatory governance and ethical practice innovation,as well as domain-specific ethical norms,thereby constructing an ethical analysis framework applicable to medical technology risks.And cross-analysis was conducted by taking medical events such as gene editing and xenotransplantation as examples.Results:Research shows that a single ethical approach has limitations in addressing complex medical ethical challenges,while the six approaches are complementary and synergistic.By criticizing technological autonomy,establishing a responsibility ethics orientation,setting the bottom line of ethical principles,promoting participatory governance,formulating domain norms,and continuously reflecting on the intermediary nature of technology,a multi-level and dynamically adaptive governance system for scientific and technological ethics can be constructed.Conclusion:The key to addressing contemporary medical ethics challenges lies in the comprehensive application of science and technology ethics theories and the integration of ethical considerations throughout the entire process of scientific and technological research and development.In the future,a governance framework that adapts to the development of new technologies should be established to promote cross-cultural and cross-disciplinary ethical dialogue and public participation,ensuring that scientific and technological innovation always serves the dignity of human life and overall well-being. 展开更多

To scientifically evaluate the restoration performance of ancient city walls,Terahertz time-domain spectroscopy(THz-TDS)and infrared thermal imaging technology were applied to assess the Desheng Fortress(Ming Dynasty).Three representative sections were examined:adobe brick masonry repaired(Area 1),well-preserved original(Area 2),and layer-by-layer ramming repaired(Area 3).THz spectral data revealed significant differences between Area 1(time delay:3.72 ps;refractive index:2.224)and Area 2(time delay:3.02 ps;refractive index:2.107),while Area 3(time delay:3.12 ps;refractive index:2.098)demonstrated nearly identical THz spectral data to Area 2.Infrared thermal imaging also showed that the Area 3 restored by layer-by-layer ramming exhibited greater uniformity with fewer instances of cracks,capillary phenomena,or biological diseases.The proposed point-surface integrated evaluation methodology synergistically combines infrared thermography mapping of heritage surfaces with THz spectral datasets acquired through in-situ micro-sampling,enabling quantitative restoration assessment and providing a novel approach for scientifically validating traditional conservation techniques. 展开更多

In recent years,thixomolding technology has injected new vitality into the large-scale application of magnesium(Mg)alloys in multiple fields of manufacturing,promoting the lightweighting and green manufacturing of structural component products.This article aims to comprehensively summarize the development and progress of Mg alloy thixomolding technology.This paper first reviews the materials including Mg alloys and Mg based composites for thixomolding applications,as well as thixomolding process including process characteristic,influence of process parameters,process defects,process optimization.Subsequently,properties of thixomolded Mg alloys and Mg based composites are discussed in detail.Then,development of thixomolding machine,progress of equipment units,advanced and large-scale thixomolding equipment are discussed.The current industrial application of Mg alloy thixomolding technology and present successful application cases are also summarized.Finally,perspectives on Mg alloy thixomolding technology in terms of developing specialized Mg alloys,technological barriers and breakthroughs,advanced thixomolding equipment,talent cultivation and sustainable development are proposed.Overall,this paper offers an in-depth insight of Mg alloy thixomolding technology,highlighting its potential in manufacturing high-performance and high-quality Mg alloy components for multiple fields. 展开更多

In order to reveal the multi-target pharmacological mechanism of Zedoary turmeric oil combined with docetaxel in the treatment of breast cancer,we used network pharmacology and molecular docking.The targets of docetaxel were retrieved from the Swiss Target Prediction database.The active components of Curcuma Zedoary turmeric were screened using the Traditional Chinese Medicine Systems Pharmacology Database and Analysis Platform(TCMSP),with criteria set as oral bioavailability OB≥30%and drug-likeness DL≥0.1.Potential targets of these components were subsequently predicted.Breast cancer-related targets were retrieved from the OMIM and GeneCards databases.The Venny tool was used to identify 177 overlapping targets between docetaxel,Zedoary turmeric oil,and breast cancer,followed by protein-protein interaction(PPI)analysis.Gene Ontology(GO)functional enrichment and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG)pathway enrichment analyses were performed using the Metascape database.A drug-breast cancer-KEGG pathway target network was constructed using Cytoscape 3.8.0.Molecular docking was employed to verify the binding ability between drugs and core targets.Results showed that the combined treatment may exert anti-breast cancer effects through key targets such as MAPK1,PIK3CA,and HSP90AA1,primarily implicating the biological process of protein phosphorylation and engaging the PI3K-Akt signaling pathway.This study successfully predicted the key targets and enriched pathways of Zedoary turmeric oil combined with docetaxel for breast cancer treatment,providing new insights for further research and development. 展开更多

The negative impacts of natural hazards on communities at all scales have been increasing.Floods comprise one such natural hazard that has emerged as one of the most destructive in the US and worldwide.While a lot of damage is estimated in terms of the cost of rebuilding infrastructure and direct loss of economy,the negative impacts of such disruptions go beyond the physical infrastructure.The impact on(and of)the social and institutional framework is rarely examined in conjunction with the physical and technical aspects.This paper examines flood vulnerability and risk of a community at an intersection of social,ecological,technical,and intuitional perspectives,and presents a framework for a holistic flood vulnerability and risk assessment that has a strong foundation in all four aspects of a resilient community.The study builds on the existing risk,vulnerability,and hazard assessment approaches,and refines them with a holistic perspective.The study uses a mixed method approach with qualitative and quantitative methodologies to assess flood occurrence probabilities,vulnerability,and risk from the social,ecological,technical,and institutional perspectives.A case study of the City of Atlanta is conducted using the framework to assess the overall vulnerability and risk of the city.The results of this analysis show that the regions that have the highest probability of flood hazard occurrence also appear to have the highest social,ecological,and technical vulnerabilities in the Atlanta area.While the results are intuitive,the applications support a focus on holistic resilience building across these four criteria.This study is potentially useful to practitioners,researchers,government agencies,and community organizations working to mitigate flood risk particularly as this risk continues to evolve with the changing climate. 展开更多

With growing concerns for global warming and environmental issues,the research community has contributed significantly to green technology in the area of material science through the development of natural fiber-reinforced polymer composites(NFRPC).Polymers serve as the matrix in NFRPC,while natural fibers serve as the reinforcing materials.Demand for high-performing materials made with natural resources is growing continuously.Natural fiber-reinforced polymer composites are sustainable biocomposites fabricated with natural fibers embedded with a polymer matrix.They offer a wide range of advantages,including a low weight-to-strength ratio,high flexural strength,damping properties,and resistance to corrosion,wear,and impact.Understanding the basic properties,characteristics,and processing techniques for natural fibers is important to consider their use as raw materials for high-quality biocomposite.Natural fibers come with low density and a high strengthto-weight ratio,allowing them to be a potential reinforcement for low-weight composites.This article attempts to present a comprehensive review of the available natural fibers,their classification,types,structures,physical properties,characteristics,and mechanical properties.Natural fibers are hydrophilic in nature and require physical and chemical treatment prior to their application as reinforcing material.This review will also cover the required physical and chemical treatments of natural fibers for fabricating biocomposites. 展开更多

Ensuring a sustainable and eco-friendly environment is essential for promoting a healthy and balanced social life.However,decision-making in such contexts often involves handling vague,imprecise,and uncertain information.To address this challenge,this study presents a novel multi-criteria decision-making(MCDM)approach based on picture fuzzy hypersoft sets(PFHSS),integrating the flexibility of Schweizer-Sklar triangular norm-based aggregation operators.The proposed aggregation mechanisms—weighted average and weighted geometric operators—are formulated using newly defined operational laws under the PFHSS framework and are proven to satisfy essential mathematical properties,such as idempotency,monotonicity,and boundedness.The decision-making model system-atically incorporates both benefit and cost-type criteria,enabling more nuanced evaluations in complex social or environmental decision problems.To enhance interpretability and practical relevance,the study conducts a sensitivity analysis on the Schweizer-Sklar parameter(Δ).The results show that varyingΔaffects the strictness of aggregation,thereby influencing the ranking stability of alternatives.A comparative analysis with existing fuzzy and hypersoft-based MCDM methods confirms the robustness,expressiveness,and adaptability of the proposed approach.Notably,the use of picture fuzzy sets allows for the inclusion of positive,neutral,and negative memberships,offering a richer representation of expert opinions compared to traditional models.A case study focused on green technology adoption for environmental sustainability illustrates the real-world applicability of the proposed method.The analysis confirms that the approach yields consistent and interpretable results,even under varying degrees of decision uncertainty.Overall,this work contributes an efficient and flexible MCDM tool that can support decision-makers in formulating policies aligned with sustainable and socially responsible outcomes. 展开更多

Background:The advent of the self-media age,digital humanities,and artificial intelligence(AI)technologies is gradually reshaping the narrative frameworks of the history of science and technology in general and the history of medicine in particular,as it transforms the specific shape of contemporary medical science and health communication practice with the help of interactive,scenario-based communication ecosystems.Methods:This paper focuses on the interactive relationship between the history of science and science communication,employing historical tracing and case study comparison as research methods to explore the pathways and innovative models for reintegrating the history of science and technology including the history of medicine into contemporary scientific discourse.Results:The study finds that in the Chinese context,three key pathways facilitate the engagement of the history of science and technology including the history of medicine in science communication:administrative intervention,value reconstruction,and personalized adaptation.Specifically,administrative intervention promotes the integration of the history of science education into talent development through policy design;value reconstruction,centered on the scientific spirit,enhances societal cultural recognition of technological progress;and personalized adaptation leverages big data and social media technologies to enable precise and tailored knowledge dissemination.Conclusion:The rise of the“web-based knowledge brokering model”in the era of social media has introduced professional knowledge brokers,ensuring the accuracy and accessibility of science communication.These innovations not only serve as decision-making simulation tools for medical science and health communication,linking historical insights with contemporary practice,but also provide theoretical foundations and practical paradigms for realizing the value of the history of science and technology in the digital era. 展开更多

Edge defects significantly impact the forming quality of Mg/Al composite plates during the rolling process.This study aims to develop an effective rolling technique to suppress these defects.First,an enhanced Lemaitre damage model with a generalized stress state damage prediction mechanism was used to evaluate the key mechanical factors contributing to defect formation.Based on this evaluation,an embedded composite rolling technique was proposed.Subsequently,comparative validation was conducted at 350℃ with a 50% reduction ratio.Results showed that the plates rolled using the embedded composite rolling technique had smooth surfaces and edges,with no macroscopic cracks observed.Numerical simulation indicated that,compared to conventional processes,the proposed technique reduced the maximum edge stress triaxiality of the plates from-0.02 to-1.56,significantly enhancing the triaxial compressive stress effect at the edges,which suppressed void nucleation and growth,leading to a 96%reduction in damage values.Mechanical property evaluations demonstrated that,compared to the conventional rolling process,the proposed technique improved edge bonding strength and tensile strength by approximately 67.7%and 118%,respectively.Further microstructural characterization revealed that the proposed technique,influenced by the restriction of deformation along the transverse direction(TD),weakened the plastic flow in the TD and enhanced plastic flow along the rolling direction(RD),resulting in higher grain boundary density and stronger basal texture.This,in turn,improved the toughness and transverse homogeneity of the plates.In summary,the embedded composite rolling technique provides crucial technical guidance for the preparation of Mg-based composite plates. 展开更多

In the field of specific emitter identification(SEI),power amplifiers(PAs)have long been recognized as significant contributors to unintentional modulation characteristics.To enhance signal quality,digital pre-distortion(DPD)techniques are commonly employed in practical applications to mitigate the nonlinear effects of PAs.However,DPD techniques may diminish the distinctive characteristics of individual transmitters,potentially compromising SEI performance.This study investigates the influence of SEI in the presence of DPD applied to PAs.We construct a semi-physical emitter platform using AD9361 and ZYNQ,incorporating memory and non-memory models to emulate an amplification system comprising DPD devices and PAs.Furthermore,we delve into the analysis and evaluation of LMS-based and QRDRLS-based DPD algorithms to ascertain their efficacy in compensating for amplifier nonlinearity.Finally,we conduct a comprehensive set of experiments to demonstrate the adverse impact of DPD techniques on SEI.Our findings demonstrate a direct correlation between the degree of DPD performance and its impact magnitude on SEI,thereby providing a foundational basis for future studies investigating SEI techniques under DPD. 展开更多

Silicon carbide(SiC)ceramics are extensively utilized in aerospace,national defense,and petrochemical industries due to their superior physical and chemical properties.The processing of bulk SiC ceramics necessitates precise and efficient grinding techniques to produce components with satisfactory functionality.However,the inherent high hardness and brittleness of SiC ceramics present significant challenges during grinding,leading to severe brittle fracture and tool wear that compromise both surface integrity and production efficiency.Although ductile-regime grinding of SiC ceramics can be achieved by enhancing machine tool accuracy and stiffness while optimizing wheel performance alongside appropriate selection of process parameters,a comprehensive summary of the mechanisms underlying damage evolution during grinding is lacking,and a mature grinding process for SiC ceramics has yet to be developed.To bridge this gap,the sintering technologies,mechanical properties,and microstructures of SiC ceramics were briefly covered.The grinding-induced damage mechanism and low-damage grinding technologies of SiC ceramics were summarized.The fundamental science underlying the ductile deformation and removal mechanisms of brittle solids was emphasized.Additionally,attention was directed towards the critical role of hybrid energy field grinding in minimizing brittle damages and promoting removal efficiency.This review not only elucidates the intrinsic interactions between the work material and abrasives,but also offers valuable insights for optimizing the grinding processes of brittle solids. 展开更多

The poor electrical conductivity of metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)limits their electrocatalytic performance in the oxygen evolution reaction(OER).In this study,a Py@Co-MOF composite material based on pyrene(Py)molecules and{[Co2(BINDI)(DMA)_(2)]·DMA}_(n)(Co-MOF,H4BINDI=N,N'-bis(5-isophthalic acid)naphthalenediimide,DMA=N,N-dimethylacetamide)was synthesized via a one-pot method,leveragingπ-πinteractions between pyrene and Co-MOF to modulate electrical conductivity.Results demonstrate that the Py@Co-MOF catalyst exhibited significantly enhanced OER performance compared to pure Co-MOF or pyrene-based electrodes,achieving an overpotential of 246 mV at a current density of 10 mA·cm^(-2) along with excellent stability.Density functional theory(DFT)calculations reveal that the formation of O*in the second step is the rate-determining step(RDS)during the OER process on Co-MOF,with an energy barrier of 0.85 eV due to the weak adsorption affinity of the OH*intermediate for Co sites.CCDC:2419276. 展开更多
