Since the reform and opening up,the development approach targeting urban economic growth has led to a sharp increase in the proportion of impervious hardened surfaces in cities and significant waste of natural resources.The urgent need for water ecological civilization construction is of great significance to the continuation of human civilization in the long run.This paper focuses on the urban waterfront landscape design of the Chongqing Institute of Engineering section of the Huaxi River in Banan District,emphasizing the concept of“symbiosis”.Using site cultural symbols as a medium to connect the campus and the city on both sides of the river,returning the riverbank to the people,restoring the ecological space of the riverfront,enriching the landscape belt,promoting the protection of bird and fish habitats,and stimulating the vitality of the riverbank space;it aims to pave the way for ecological restoration,functional expansion,landscape renewal,and riverfront space activation at the study site. 展开更多

As a core course for the Engineering Cost major at Chongqing Institute of Engineering,Engineering Mechanics shoulders the dual mission of cultivating students’mechanical thinking,engineering practical abilities,and professional qualities.Centered on the deep integration of the outcome-based education(OBE)concept and curriculum-based ideological and political education,this paper systematically elaborates on the reform paths and implementation strategies from four dimensions-reconstruction of teaching content,innovation of assessment mechanisms,integration of ideological and political elements,and construction of teaching resources-by drawing on the teaching reform practices of Engineering Mechanics courses at multiple universities.Through modular teaching content design,a competency-oriented diversified assessment system,and a method of integrating ideological and political education with local characteristics and engineering case studies,the teaching objectives of“knowledge transmission,ability cultivation,and value shaping”are achieved in a three-in-one manner.Practical results indicate that after the reform,students’engineering practical abilities have significantly improved,with a course objective achievement rate exceeding 0.73,a 23%increase in student satisfaction with the course,and a 35%year-on-year increase in the number of awards won in professional competitions,providing a replicable paradigm for the teaching reform of engineering courses. 展开更多

Optimal Operation of Virtual Power Plants Based on Revenue Distribution and Risk Contribution

Virtual power plant(VPP)integrates a variety of distributed renewable energy and energy storage to participate in electricity market transactions,promote the consumption of renewable energy,and improve economic efficiency.In this paper,aiming at the uncertainty of distributed wind power and photovoltaic output,considering the coupling relationship between power,carbon trading,and green cardmarket,the optimal operationmodel and bidding scheme of VPP in spot market,carbon trading market,and green card market are established.On this basis,through the Shapley value and independent risk contribution theory in cooperative game theory,the quantitative analysis of the total income and risk contribution of various distributed resources in the virtual power plant is realized.Moreover,the scheduling strategies of virtual power plants under different risk preferences are systematically compared,and the feasibility and accuracy of the combination of Shapley value and independent risk contribution theory in ensuring fair income distribution and reasonable risk assessment are emphasized.A comprehensive solution for virtual power plants in the multi-market environment is constructed,which integrates operation strategy,income distribution mechanism,and risk control system into a unified analysis framework.Through the simulation of multi-scenario examples,the CPLEXsolver inMATLAB software is used to optimize themodel.The proposed joint optimization scheme can increase the profit of VPP participating in carbon trading and green certificate market by 29%.The total revenue of distributed resources managed by VPP is 9%higher than that of individual participation. 展开更多

Automatic Detection of Health-Related Rumors: A Dual-Graph Collaborative Reasoning Framework Based on Causal Logic and Knowledge Graph

With the widespread use of social media,the propagation of health-related rumors has become a significant public health threat.Existing methods for detecting health rumors predominantly rely on external knowledge or propagation structures,with only a few recent approaches attempting causal inference;however,these have not yet effectively integrated causal discovery with domain-specific knowledge graphs for detecting health rumors.In this study,we found that the combined use of causal discovery and domain-specific knowledge graphs can effectively identify implicit pseudo-causal logic embedded within texts,holding significant potential for health rumor detection.To this end,we propose CKDG—a dual-graph fusion framework based on causal logic and medical knowledge graphs.CKDG constructs a weighted causal graph to capture the implicit causal relationships in the text and introduces a medical knowledge graph to verify semantic consistency,thereby enhancing the ability to identify the misuse of professional terminology and pseudoscientific claims.In experiments conducted on a dataset comprising 8430 health rumors,CKDG achieved an accuracy of 91.28%and an F1 score of 90.38%,representing improvements of 5.11%and 3.29%over the best baseline,respectively.Our results indicate that the integrated use of causal discovery and domainspecific knowledge graphs offers significant advantages for health rumor detection systems.This method not only improves detection performance but also enhances the transparency and credibility of model decisions by tracing causal chains and sources of knowledge conflicts.We anticipate that this work will provide key technological support for the development of trustworthy health-information filtering systems,thereby improving the reliability of public health information on social media. 展开更多

In order to realize the comprehensive utilization of industrial solid waste rice husk ash and heavy metal cadmium contaminated soil,rice husk ash-based geopolymer prepared by alkaline activator was used to modify cadmium contaminated soil.The main physical and chemical properties of rice husk ash were clarified by SEM,XRF and X-ray diffraction.The unconfined compressive strength test and toxicity leaching test were carried out on the modified soil.Combined with FTIR and TG micro-level,the solidification mechanism of rice husk ash-based geopolymer solidified cadmium contaminated soil was discussed.The results show that the strength of geopolymer modified soil is significantly higher than that of plain soil,and the unconfined compressive strength at 7 d age is 4.2 times that of plain soil.The strength of modified soil with different dosage of geopolymer at 28 d age is about 36% to 40% higher than that of modified soil at 7 d age.Geopolymer has a significant effect on the leaching of heavy metals in contaminated soil.When the cadmium content is 100 mg/kg,it meets the standard limit.In the process of complex depolymerization-condensation reaction,on the one hand,geopolymers are cemented and agglomerated to form a complex spatial structure,which affects the macro and micro characteristics of soil.On the other hand,it has significant adsorption,precipitation and replacement effects on heavy metal ions in soil,showing good strength and low heavy metal leaching toxicity. 展开更多

Following a magnitude M 7.9 earthquake that struck near Mandalay,Myanmar in March 2025,this study investigates the seismic damage inflicted upon the city’s municipal water supply system.The analysis focuses on the failure characteristics of water facilities and pipelines,examines cross-system cascading effects,and proposes corresponding recovery strategies.The main findings are as follows:(1)The damage to water plant facilities,concentrated in ancillary structures and connections due to insufficient seismic measures,demonstrated significant intensity-dependence.Increased seismic intensity not only aggravated structural damage but also compromised core treatment processes,leading to deteriorated water quality.(2)Within the same seismic intensity zone,high-density polyethylene(HDPE)pipes exhibited a significantly lower damage occurrence rate than ductile iron(DI)pipes,highlighting the material’s substantial influence on seismic performance.Moreover,a strong positive correlation was observed between the overall pipeline network damage and the seismic intensity.The average damage rate in IntensityⅨzones was 6.84 times that of IntensityⅧzones.(3)A cascading failure,initiated by a power outage,led to water supply disruption,loss of emergency response capability,and elevated secondary risks.This strongly coupled cross-system effect resulted in significant spatiotemporal propagation of disaster impacts.(4)The post-earthquake recovery adopted a phased strategy that prioritized critical facilities.Actions involved rapidly restoring the core supply zone with temporary points,reinstating the water plant’s power supply,and deploying targeted technologies for efficient pipeline repair.The outcomes of this study are expected to provide critical support and a valuable reference for developing earthquake-resilient urban water supply systems. 展开更多

Biomimetic Design of“Trunk-Branch-Leaf”Metallene Electrode for Efficient CO_(2) Electroreduction

Controllable synthesis of ultrathin metallene nanosheets and rational design of their spatial arrangement in favor of electrochemical catalysis are critical for their renewable energy applications.Here,a biomimetic design of“Trunk-Branch-Leaf”strategy is proposed to prepare the ultrathin edge-riched Zn-ene“leaves”with a thickness of~2.5 nm,adjacent Zn-ene cross-linked with each other,which are supported by copper nanoneedle“branches”on copper mesh“trunks,”named as Zn-ene/Cu-CM.The resulting superstructure enables the formation of an interconnected network and multiple channels,which can be used as an electrocatalytic CO_(2) reduction reaction(CO_(2)RR)electrode to allow a fast charge and mass transfer as well as a large electrolyte reservoir.By virtue of the distinctive structure,the obtained Zn-ene/Cu-CM electrode exhibits excellent selectivity and activity toward CO production with a maximum Faradaic efficiency of 91.3%and incredible partial current density up to 40 mA cm^(−2),outperforming most of the state-of-the-art Zn-based electrodes for CO_(2) reduction.The phenolphthalein color probe combined with in situ attenuated total reflection-infrared spectroscopy uncovered the formation of the localized pseudo-alkaline microenvironment at the interface of the Zn-ene/Cu-CM electrode.Theoretical calculations confirmed that the localized pH as the origin is responsible for the adsorption of CO_(2) at the interface and the generation of *COOH and *CO intermediates.This study offers valuable insights into developing efficient electrodes through synergistic regulation of reaction microenvironments and active sites,thereby facilitating the electrolysis of practical CO_(2) conversion. 展开更多

Developing advanced electrocatalysts to convert CO_(2) into liquid fuels such as C_(2)H_(5)OH is critical for utilizing intermittent renewable energy.The formation of C_(2)H_(5)OH,however,is generally less favored compared with the other hydrocarbon products from Cu-based electrocatalysts.In this work,an alkanethiolmodified Cu_(2)O nanowire array(OTT-Cu_(2)O) was constructed with asymmetric Cu sites consisting of paired Cu-O and Cu-S motifs to overcome previous limitations of C_(2)H_(5)OH electrosynthesis via CO_(2)RR pathway.This catalyst achieves a high Faradaic efficiency of 45 % for CO_(2)-to-C_(2)H_(5)OH conversion at 300 m A/cm^(2),representing a more than two-fold enhancement over the Cu_(2)O electrode.Mechanistic investigations reveal that the Cu-S site exhibits distinct C-binding capability that stabilizes key intermediates(^(*)OCH_(2) and ^(*)CO),in contrast to the O-affinitive Cu-O site.The asymmetric S-Cu-O configuration promotes thermodynamically favorable asymmetric C-C coupling between ^(*)CO and ^(*)OCH_(2),forming the critical CO-OCH_(2) intermediate and facilitating C_(2)H_(5)OH production,as opposed to symmetric O-Cu-O sites that mainly generate HCOOH.This work offers an effective strategy for designing multi-active-site catalysts toward highly selective CO_(2) reduction to C_(2)H_(5)OH and provides fundamental insight into the reaction mechanism. 展开更多

This study presents an effective hybrid simulation approach for simulating broadband ground motion in complex near-fault locations.The approach utilizes a deterministic approach based on the spectral element method(SEM),which is used to simulate low-frequency ground motion(f<1 Hz)by incorporating an innovative efficient discontinuous Galerkin(DG)method for grid division to accurately model basin sedimentary layers at reduced costs.It also introduces a comprehensive hybrid source model for high-frequency random scattering and a nonlinear analysis module for basin sedimentary layers.Deterministic outcomes are combined with modified three-dimensional stochastic finite fault method(3D-EXSIM)simulations of high-frequency ground motion(f>1 Hz).A fourth-order Butterworth filter with zero phase shift is employed for time-domain filtering of low-and high-frequency time series at a crossover frequency of 1 Hz,merging the low and high-frequency ground motions into a broadband time series.Taking an Ms 6.8 Luding earthquake,as an example,this hybrid method was used for a rapid and efficient simulation analysis of broadband ground motion in the region.The accuracy and efficiency of this hybrid method were verified through comparisons with actually observed station data and empirical attenuation curves.Deterministic method simulation results revealed the effects of mountainous topography,basin effects,nonlinear effects within the basin’s sedimentary layers,and a coupling interaction between the basin and the mountains.The findings are consistent with similar studies,showing that near-fault sedimentary basins significantly focus and amplify strong ground motion,and the soil’s nonlinear behavior in the basin influences ground motion to varying extents at different distances from the fault.The mountainous topography impacts the basin’s response to ground motion,leading to barrier effects.This research provides a scientific foundation for seismic zoning,urban planning,and seismic design in nearfault mountain basin regions. 展开更多

On December 18,2023,a magnitude 6.2 earthquake struck Jishishan County,Gansu Province,triggering a liquefaction-induced flow slide along the loess-mudstone contact zone and causing significant casualties and property losses.The event featured low-slope,large-scale,runout distance sliding and exhibited a clear cascading disaster chain.Its characteristics closely resemble the catastrophic mudflow at the nearby Lajia Ruins approximately 4,000 years ago.Using high-resolution oblique photogrammetry,cone penetration testing,surface wave analysis,and horizontal-to-vertical spectral ratio methods,this study examines the stratigraphy,groundwater conditions,and geomechanical properties of the affected zone.Results indicate that saturated loess overlying impermeable mudstone formed a high-moisture mass vulnerable to seismic disturbance.Seismic resonance triggered the liquefaction of weakly structured loess,which slide along the contact interface and evolved into a runout distance mudflow.Underground water and terrain modification created a composite weak zone of saturated loess and softened mudstone,which intensified the disaster chain-from earthquake to liquefaction,flow slide,and mudflow.This study contributes to the understanding of deep-seated liquefaction-flow slide disasters,thereby advancing more effective risk mitigation strategies in the Loess Plateau and comparable loess-covered seismic regions. 展开更多

The Internet of Vehicles,or IoV,is expected to lessen pollution,ease traffic,and increase road safety.IoV entities’interconnectedness,however,raises the possibility of cyberattacks,which can have detrimental effects.IoV systems typically send massive volumes of raw data to central servers,which may raise privacy issues.Additionally,model training on IoV devices with limited resources normally leads to slower training times and reduced service quality.We discuss a privacy-preserving Federated Split Learning with Tiny Machine Learning(TinyML)approach,which operates on IoV edge devices without sharing sensitive raw data.Specifically,we focus on integrating split learning(SL)with federated learning(FL)and TinyML models.FL is a decentralisedmachine learning(ML)technique that enables numerous edge devices to train a standard model while retaining data locally collectively.The article intends to thoroughly discuss the architecture and challenges associated with the increasing prevalence of SL in the IoV domain,coupled with FL and TinyML.The approach starts with the IoV learning framework,which includes edge computing,FL,SL,and TinyML,and then proceeds to discuss how these technologies might be integrated.We elucidate the comprehensive operational principles of Federated and split learning by examining and addressingmany challenges.We subsequently examine the integration of SL with FL and various applications of TinyML.Finally,exploring the potential integration of FL and SL with TinyML in the IoV domain is referred to as FSL-TM.It is a superior method for preserving privacy as it conducts model training on individual devices or edge nodes,thereby obviating the necessity for centralised data aggregation,which presents considerable privacy threats.The insights provided aim to help both researchers and practitioners understand the complicated terrain of FL and SL,hence facilitating advancement in this swiftly progressing domain. 展开更多

DriftXMiner: A Resilient Process Intelligence Approach for Safe and Transparent Detection of Incremental Concept Drift in Process Mining

Processes supported by process-aware information systems are subject to continuous and often subtle changes due to evolving operational,organizational,or regulatory factors.These changes,referred to as incremental concept drift,gradually alter the behavior or structure of processes,making their detection and localization a challenging task.Traditional process mining techniques frequently assume process stationarity and are limited in their ability to detect such drift,particularly from a control-flow perspective.The objective of this research is to develop an interpretable and robust framework capable of detecting and localizing incremental concept drift in event logs,with a specific emphasis on the structural evolution of control-flow semantics in processes.We propose DriftXMiner,a control-flow-aware hybrid framework that combines statistical,machine learning,and process model analysis techniques.The approach comprises three key components:(1)Cumulative Drift Scanner that tracks directional statistical deviations to detect early drift signals;(2)a Temporal Clustering and Drift-Aware Forest Ensemble(DAFE)to capture distributional and classification-level changes in process behavior;and(3)Petri net-based process model reconstruction,which enables the precise localization of structural drift using transition deviation metrics and replay fitness scores.Experimental validation on the BPI Challenge 2017 event log demonstrates that DriftXMiner effectively identifies and localizes gradual and incremental process drift over time.The framework achieves a detection accuracy of 92.5%,a localization precision of 90.3%,and an F1-score of 0.91,outperforming competitive baselines such as CUSUM+Histograms and ADWIN+Alpha Miner.Visual analyses further confirm that identified drift points align with transitions in control-flow models and behavioral cluster structures.DriftXMiner offers a novel and interpretable solution for incremental concept drift detection and localization in dynamic,process-aware systems.By integrating statistical signal accumulation,temporal behavior profiling,and structural process mining,the framework enables finegrained drift explanation and supports adaptive process intelligence in evolving environments.Its modular architecture supports extension to streaming data and real-time monitoring contexts. 展开更多

High-precision optical frequency measurement serves as a cornerstone of modern science and technology,enabling advancements in fields ranging from fundamental physics to quantum information technologies.Obtaining precise photon frequencies,especially in the ultraviolet or even extreme ultraviolet regimes,is a key goal in both light–matter interaction experiments and engineering applications.High-order harmonic generation(HHG)is an ideal light source for producing such photons.In this work,we propose an optical temporal interference model(OTIM)that establishes an analogy with multi-slit Fraunhofer diffraction(MSFD)to manipulate fine-frequency photon generation by exploiting the temporal coherence of HHG processes.Our model provides a unified physical framework for three distinct non-integer HHG generation schemes:single-pulse,shaped-pulse,and laser pulse train approaches,which correspond to single-MSFD-like,double-MSFD-like,and multi-MSFD-like processes,respectively.Arbitrary non-integer HHG photons can be obtained using our scheme.Our approach provides a new perspective for accurately measuring and controlling photon frequencies in fields such as frequency comb technology,interferometry,and atomic clocks. 展开更多

The rapid advancement of wearable electronic devices has paved the way for a more intelligent and interconnected world.However,ensuring the sustainable energy supply for these devices remains a critical challenge,particularly for specialized populations and professionals in demanding environments,where a lack of power can pose life-threatening risks.Herein,we propose a mechanically intelligent biomechanical energy harvesting approach that adapts to complex human motion excitations,thereby improving the energy harvesting performance.Leveraging a mechanical intelligence mechanism,the energy harvester aligns with human physiological habits,selectively activating or deactivating as needed.The system can also adapt to excitations of varying directions,amplitudes,and frequencies.Furthermore,the string tension helps reduce the impact forces on the knee joint during foot strikes.A theoretical model for the biomechanical energy harvesting system is developed to describe its dynamic and electrical characteristics,and a prototype is fabricated and tested under diverse conditions.The experimental results are in good agreement with the simulation trends,validating the effectiveness of the theoretical model.A test subject running at 8 km/h for 90 seconds can successfully power a smartphone for 20 seconds,demonstrating the viability of self-powered applications.This mechanically intelligent biomechanical energy harvesting method holds a promising solution for the sustainable power supply for wearable electronic devices. 展开更多

Recent studies indicate that millions of individuals suffer from renal diseases,with renal carcinoma,a type of kidney cancer,emerging as both a chronic illness and a significant cause of mortality.Magnetic Resonance Imaging(MRI)and Computed Tomography(CT)have become essential tools for diagnosing and assessing kidney disorders.However,accurate analysis of thesemedical images is critical for detecting and evaluating tumor severity.This study introduces an integrated hybrid framework that combines three complementary deep learning models for kidney tumor segmentation from MRI images.The proposed framework fuses a customized U-Net and Mask R-CNN using a weighted scheme to achieve semantic and instance-level segmentation.The fused outputs are further refined through edge detection using Stochastic FeatureMapping Neural Networks(SFMNN),while volumetric consistency is ensured through Improved Mini-Batch K-Means(IMBKM)clustering integrated with an Encoder-Decoder Convolutional Neural Network(EDCNN).The outputs of these three stages are combined through a weighted fusion mechanism,with optimal weights determined empirically.Experiments on MRI scans from the TCGA-KIRC dataset demonstrate that the proposed hybrid framework significantly outperforms standalone models,achieving a Dice Score of 92.5%,an IoU of 87.8%,a Precision of 93.1%,a Recall of 90.8%,and a Hausdorff Distance of 2.8 mm.These findings validate that the weighted integration of complementary architectures effectively overcomes key limitations in kidney tumor segmentation,leading to improved diagnostic accuracy and robustness in medical image analysis. 展开更多
