The internaloxidation product, microstructures and properties ...A heat-resistant dispersion-strengthening nano-Al_2O_3/Cu composite with highstrength and high electric conductivity was fabricated in a multiplex medium. The internaloxidation product, microstructures and properties of the composite, and the process flow weresystematically studied. It is confirmed that this new technique simplifies the process and improvesthe properties of the composite. X-ray analysis indicates that the alumina particles formed duringinternal oxidation consist of a large mount of gamma-Al_2O_3 and a certain amount of theta-Al_2O_3and alpha-Al_2O_3. TEM observation shows that the obtained gamma-Al_2O_3 nano-particles areuniformly distributed in the copper grains; their mean size and space between particles are 7 runand 30 nm, respectively. The main properties of the composite with 50 percent cold deformation areas follows: the electric conductivity is 51 MS/m (87 percent IACS), sigma_b = 628 MPa, and thehardness is HRB86. After annealing at 1273 K, all or most of the above properties remain, and themicrostructures are still dependent on elongated fiber-form grains.展开更多

The incline of the effective potential is crucial to the directed motion and the efficiency. We also discussed the relationship between the efficiency and the kinetic parameters such as the strength of the noise and the transition rates between the two states. With the fine dispersion of the modified MMT in water,the cation-exchange reaction...Montmorillonite(MMT) modified with sodium silicate can change the arrangement of its layers from edge-face and edge-edge to face-face. With the fine dispersion of the modified MMT in water,the cation-exchange reaction was carried out with cetyltrimethyl ammonium bromide(CTAB) to obtain organo-montmorillonite(OMMT). As OMMT was uniformly dispersed in methyl methacrylate(MMA) monomer,PMMA/OMMT nanocomposites were formed via a common emulsion polymerization. The products were extracted with hot acetone and characterized by FTIR,molecular weight,X-ray diffraction(XRD),transmission electron microscopy(TEM),DSC and TGA. These results show that most of the OMMT layers have been exfoliated,while the thermal stability is increased obviously. By means of FTIR spectral analysis,the ratios of the macromolecular radicals′ termination of disproportionation patterns to combination are increased with the addition of OMMT. This result further confirms the increase of the thermal degradation temperatures and glass transition temperatures of the PMMA/OMMT nanocomposites.展开更多

Beginning with the potential between two molecules, by using the cell model of liquid, applying statistical physical method, the distribution function and the free energy of the system are obtained. By using variational approach and zero-order approximation, the differential equation that the order parameter tensor of the blue phase can satisfy is obtained. Then we change the differential equation to the eigenequation problem in quantum mechanics. Considering the symmetry of the blue phases,the order parameter tensors of blue phases Ⅰ and Ⅱ can be made up of the eigenvectors. Our results are the same as the results of Ginzberg-Landau's phenomenological theory. The parameters in the order parameter tensors that we calculate in the located system are close to the predecessors' results.展开更多

Microstructure and mechanical properties of the steel were evaluated by using optical metallography, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, dilatometry and tensometry. Those measurements suggested that the steel consisted of martensite and retained austenite, which existed between the martensitic laths in a stable thin film, and that the steel showed very high tensile strength of 1400 MPa and good ductility of 15% in elongation after 300°C tempering.展开更多

The Curie temperatureT_c increases with the Co concentration increasing, and the magnetization first increases as the Cocontent increases in (Sm_(0.5)Nd_(0.5))_2(Fe_(1-x)Co_x)_(17) alloys and then decreases slowly. Theeasy magnetization direction (EMD) of (Sm_(0.5)Nd_(0.5))_2(Fe_(0.25)Co_(0.75))_(17) is along thec-axis and a strong enhancement of the crystalline anisotropy energy constant K is produced by theaddition of some Co atoms. It was characterized by EA, IR, TG-DTA and X-ray single-crystal diffraction. It crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group P21/n with a = 8.980(3), b = 15.803(5), c = 13.415(4) ?, α = γ = 90.00°, β = 98.450(5)°, F(000) = 936, Mr = 466.73, Z = 4, V = 1883.0(10) ?3, Dc = 1.646 g/cm3, μ(MoKα) = 1.201 mm-1, S = 1.041, the final R = 0.0237 and wR = 0.0469. The crystal structure shows that the cadmium has a distorted octahedral environment with three carboxyl oxygen donors and three imidazole nitrogen donors. Each cadmium atom is linked by a fumatate as bridging ligand to afford a one-dimensional framework, and then an infinite three- dimensional supramolecular network is formed through hydrogen bonding interactions.展开更多

Since the orientation of the molecularlong axis and the angular momentum of the molecule rotating around its long axis have the same direction, operatorscan be introduced to research the nematic liquid crystal. By transforming the intermolecular interaction potential,the Hamiltonian of the system has the same form as that of the ferromagnetic substance. The relation of the orderparameters to the reduced temperature can be obtained. It is in good agreement with the experimental results in thelow temperature region. In the high temperature region close to the transition point, by using the Hamiltonian, thetransition point can be obtained, which is near to the Maier-Saupe's result.展开更多
