METHODS: PPAR-γ protein in gastric carcinoma was examined by immunohistochemistry. In the gastric carcinoma cell line MGCS03, PPAR-7, survivin, Skp2 and p27 protein and mRNA were examined by Western blotting and real-time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction, respectively; proliferation was examined by MTT; apoptosis was examined by chromatin staining with Hoechst 33342 and fluorescence activated cell sorting (FACS). and cell cycle was examined by FACS; the knockdown of PPAR-γ was done by RNA interference. RESULTS: A high level of expression of PPAR-γ was observed in human gastric carcinoma and in a human gastric carcinoma cell line MGCS03. The PPAR-γ agonist 15-deoxy-△12,14-prostaglandin J2 (15d-PGJ2)inhibited growth, and induced apoptosis and G1/G0 cell cycle arrest in MGC803 cells in a concentration-dependent and time-dependent manner. The effect of 15d-PGJ2 on MGC803 cells was not reversed by the selective and irreversible antagonist GW9662 for PPAR-γ. Furthermore, survivin and Skp2 expression were decreased, whereas p27 expression was enhanced following 15d-PGJ2 treatment in a dose-dependent manner in MGC803 cells. Interestingly, we also found that small interfering RNA for PPAR-γ inhibited growth and induced apoptosis in MGC803 cells. The inhibition of PPAR-γ function may be a potentially important and novel modality for treatment and prevention of gastric carcinoma. CONCLUSION: A PPAR-γ agonist inhibited growth of human gastric carcinoma MGC803 cells by inducing apoptosis and G1/G0 cell cycle arrest with the involvement of survivin, Skp2 and p27 and not via PPAR-γ.展开更多

The administration began from day 19 after modeling for 30 day. Paw swelling, arthritic in-dex(AI), cardiac function indexes and myocardial pathological pattern were detected. The expression of TLR4, myeloid differentiation factor(My D) 88, interleukin-1 receptor-associated kinase(IRAK) 1, tumor necrosis factor receptor associated factor(TRAF) 6, NF-κB, tumor necrosis factor-alpha(TNF-α) proteins in myocardial tissue were determined by western blot method.RESULTS: Paw swelling and AI in MC group increased in MC group(P < 0.01), and decreased in high and moderate dose XFC groups(P < 0.01 or P > 0.05). Left ventricular systolic pressure(LVSP),left ventricular end-diastolic pressure(LVEDP),heart rate(HR) were elevated in MC group(P <0.01), and ± dp/dtmax and CI were reduced(P <0.01); while LVSP, LVEDP and HR declined and ±dp/dtmax, CI improved in high dose XFC group(P <0.05 or P < 0.01). LVSP in high dose XFC group were reduced more than other treatment groups(P <0.05 or P < 0.01). The improvements on LVEDP, dp/dt-max were superior to MTX and low dose XFC group, and the improvement on CI was better than low dose XFC group(P < 0.05 or P < 0.01). Myocardial fibers arranged irregular in MC group with intracellular edema and mitochondria damage. The modifications on myocardial structural were shown in each treatment group, but more prominent in TPT, high and moderate dose XFC group. The proteins of TLR4, My D88, IRAK1, TRAF6, NF-κB, TNF-αwere highly expressed in MC group, and those proteins declined in high and moderate dose XFC group(P < 0.05 or P < 0.01). High dose XFC group was superior to MTX and low dose XFC group on reducing TLR4, NF-κB, TNF-α(P < 0.05).CONCLUSION: XFC can not only inhibit the excessive activation of TLR4/NF-κB signaling pathway and the increased inflammatory mediators, but also reduce the damage of myocardial tissue and cells.展开更多

Under various environment circumstances, the metal contents of sediments can enter into the overlying water body leading to severe toxicity. This study aims to determine metal concentrations in sediments of Anzali International Wetland in Iran. Chemical partitioning method is used to determine the portion of anthropogenic pollution and the mobility potential of each metal. The intensity of metal pollution in sediments of the wetland is assessed using three reliable indices. The results of chemical partitioning reveal that cadmium bear the highest risk of being released into the aquatic environment and high amount of manganese in sulfide bond phase implies the initiation of redox state in aquatic environment of the Anzali Wetland. The results of chemical partitioning studies show that Pb, Cd, Mn and As have the highest anthropogenic portion. Cluster analysis also confirms the results of chemical partitioning and indicates that the mentioned metals can be originated from anthropogenic sources. Sediment pollution indices, including, Igeo,IPOLL, and m-ERM-Q reveal that metals are in the range of low to moderate pollution and also show that the highest metal pollution is in the eastern and central parts of the wetland. This can be ascribed to rivers which are the recipient of industrial, agricultural and municipal wastewaters and flow into these parts of the wetland.展开更多

METHODS: A stratified-block randomized, dou- ble-blind, parallel-controlled, and multicenter clini- cal trial was conducted with 360 patients in five hospitals across China: Quanzhou Children's Hospi- tal, Shijiazhuang No. 5 Hospital, Shanghai Public Health Centre, Hunan Provincial Children's Hospi- tal, and Kaifeng Children's Hospital. Patients were randomized into three groups with 120 in each. Group A was treated with Western Medicine, group B with Reduning injection, a Chinese herbal medi- cine, and group C with both Reduning injection and Western Medicine. Results were compared for treatment efficacy and safety on HFMD. The clinical outcomes were observed as follows: fever and on- set time of antifebrile effect (time to bring the body temperature down 〉0.5~C after medication); cumu- lative time for fever recovery (body temperature re- covering to normal and lasting more than 24 h without medication); cumulative time for rash dis- appearance (without new rashes or ulcers appear- ing and the original ones fading away); and cumula- tive time for mouth ulcer disappearance. RESULTS: For the onset time of the antifebrile ef- fect, there was no statistical difference between groups A and B (P〉O.05) and groups B and C (P〉 0.05). However, there was a statistical difference be- tween groups A and C (P〈0.05), and the effect ingroup C was the best. For the cumulative time for rash disappearance, there was no statistical differ- ence between groups A and B (P〉0.05). There were statistical differences between groups A and C, and groups B and C (P〈0.05), and the effect in group C was the best. For the cumulative time for mouth ul- cers disappearance, there were no statistical differ- ences among the three groups (P〉0.05). CONCLUSION: Reduning injection with Western Medicine for symptomatic treatment is most effec- tive for mild HFMD. No adverse reactions were ob- served.展开更多

Samples were collected from seven stations located in Anzali wetland, Iran. The samples were analyzed by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry(ICP-MS). The results showed that concentration of the studied metals(except As and Cd) were higher in sediments than in P.australis organs. Metal accumulation was found to be signifi cantly(P <0.05) higher in roots than in above-ground organs of P.australis. The bioaccumulation factor(BAF) and the transfer factor(TF) also verifi ed the highest rate of metal accumulation in roots and their reduced mobility from roots to the above-ground organs. Pearson correlation coeffi cient showed signifi cant relationships between metal concentrations in sediments and those in plant organs. It should be pointed out that sediment and plant samples exhibited higher metal concentrations in eastern and central parts than in western and southern parts of the wetland. The mean concentrations of all studied elements(except for Fe, V and Al) were higher in these sediment samples than in the Earth's crust and shale. High accumulation of metals in P. australis organs(roots and shoots) is indicative of their high bioavailability in sediments of the wetland. The correlation between metal concentrations in sediments and in P. australis indicates that plant organs are good bioindicators of metal pollution in sediments of Anzali wetland.展开更多

Mole fraction values varied from 0.015×10^-3 to 3.261×10^-3 and correlated by using seven different semi empirical equations of state (Bartle, Modi-fied Bartle, Mendez-Teja, Modified Mendez-Teja, Kumar-Johnson, Sung-shim and Gordillo) as well as seven cubic equations of state (van der Waals, Redlich-Kwong, Soave-Redlich-Kwong, Peng-Robinson, Stryjek-Vera, Patel-Teja-Valderana and Pazuki). Single and twin-parametric van der Walls mixing rules (vdW1, vdW2) were ap-plied in order to estimate the supercritical solution properties. The physicochemical properties were also obtained using Joback, Lydersen and Ambrose methods. Absolute average relatives deviation (AARD) were calculated and compared for all the correlating systems. Results showed that among the cubic equations of state (EOSs) the Pazuki equation (AARD=19.85% using vdW1 and AARD=8.79% using vdW2) and SRK equation (AARD=19.20%using vdW1 and AARD=10.03%using vdW2) predicted the ibuprofen solubility in supercritical CO2 with the least error in comparison to the others. Among the semi-empirical EOSs the most desirable deviation (AARD〈10%) was obtained by using Modified Bartle and Modified Mendez-Teja equations in all the studied temperatures.展开更多

The key features of the proposed method are to apply singular value decomposition (SVD) to all structural uncertainties and to introduce adjustable parameters for control design along with the SMC method. It leads to a less-conservative condition for robust stability and a new robust controller for the general uncertain stochastic systems via linear matrix inequality (LMI) forms. The system states are able to reach the SMC switching surface as guaranteed in probability 1. Furthermore, it is theoretically proved that the proposed method with the SVD and adjustable parameters is less conservatism than the method without the SVD. The paper is mainly to provide all strict theoretical proofs for the method and results.展开更多

We retrospectively analyzed the diagnosis and treatment process of a patient who was diagnosed with pPNETs by pathology. This case was a man with soft masses arising from the left chest wall near the armpit and left supraclavicular of a 47-year-old man. The patient mainly presented with the masses which increasing gradually with obvious pain. Needle biopsy showed that they were both metastatic adenocaroinoma. Ultrasonography B revealed blood flow of these two low density placeholders can be seen in the signal, not oppression axillary and vein. Radical resection of the masses were performed. Histopathologic study and immunohistochemistry (IHC) confirmed the masses to be peripheral primitive neuroectodermal tumors, pPNETs is a rare malignant small round cell tumor. CT and MRI examination can estimate the resectability of the tumor; Ultrasound B can make sure its inside blood supply and the positional relationship between the mass and the surrounding vasculature. The diagnosis of pPNETs is based primarily on histopathologic study and IHC, especially those with the characteristics of the Homer-Wright and neuroendocrine markers. Radical resection of the tumor is the most effective therapeutic method. The effect of adjuvant chemo-radiation is worth affirmation. Autologous stem cell rescue besides adjuvant chemotherapy has been associated with prolonged survival.展开更多

Therefore, it must be collected and treated properly. The investigation of various biological methods in leachate treatment, their advantages and disadvantages, and their effect on reduction of COD (chemical oxygen demand) are the objectives of this study. Reviewed processes include anaerobic and aerobic sequencing batch reactor, up-flow anaerobic sludge blanket, moving-bed biofilm reactor, membrane bioreactor, and aerated lagoons, lead to reduction of biodegradability pollutants in different circumstances. The present study has indicated that the most and the least reduction of COD has been through aerated lagoon (95%) and moving-bed biofilm reactor (8%), respectively.展开更多

Vulnerability of these structures is due to va...Experience from recent earthquakes such as Gilan, Zanjan, Bam and Lorestan earthquakes in Iran indicated that the constructed buildings are vulnerable against earthquake. Vulnerability of these structures is due to various reasons such as designing without considering seismic regulations, problems of regulations (design goals), implementation problems, changing of the building occupancy class, increasing the weight of building stories, adding new stories to the building and changing in architecture of building without considering structural system. So the main objective of this research is to examine the features of building configuration and their effects as for the damages to buildings in past earthquakes. For this purpose, initially four occurred earthquakes in Iran are selected as case study. Then three types of buildings (steel structure, concrete structure and masonry buildings) are analyzed with details. Results showed that the most of damages are occurred in the old steel structures and masonry buildings which their ages are more than 25 years. The study showed that most of the buildings in the study area are steel structure and masonry buildings while concrete structures are infrequent which most of them had no or slight damages. Therefore, the importance and need to enhance the performance of available buildings against earthquake forces by rehabilitating methods would be more important than before. Also results indicated that the decisions related to architectural plan which have significant effect on seismic performance of buildings, can be divided into three categories: configuration of building, restrictive formal architectural plan and dangerous structural components, as these categories are not obstacle of each other, it is possible that each category has an influential effect on others. So organizing the design decisions in this way is very important so as to manage their effects and interdependencies.展开更多

The starting time of each phase of the entire operation was recorded as well. Before harvesting the marked tree, the appropriate felling direction was determined and the azimuth of the correct direction was taken. The results indicate that there was not a meaningful relationship between the differences in direction of a leaning tree compared with the felling direction. However, there was a significant relationship between the difference of the defined and felling direction and the difference in tree leaning and defined direction. The same trend was observed between tree leaning and felling directions and tree leaning and defined directions. On the other hand, there was no significant relationship between tree leaning and felling directions and the defined and tree felling directions. In addition, this research shows that with an increase in tree volume, the time for tree cutting rose.Furthermore, when the difference of tree leaning and felling direction decreased, the time to cut the tree declined. The regression equation is Y = 168.9–0.14(the difference between tree leaning and felling direction) + 0.7(volume).展开更多

This can be ascribed to rivers which are the recipient of industrial, agricultural and municipal wastewaters and flow into these parts of the wetland.

文摘OBJECTIVE: To assess the efficacy and safety of Re- duning injection for fever, rash, and ulcers in chil- dren with mild hand, foot, and mouth disease (HFMD). No adverse reactions were ob- served.
文摘Accumulation of metals in both sediments and Phragmites australis organs was studied. The correlation between metal concentrations in sediments and in P. australis indicates that plant organs are good bioindicators of metal pollution in sediments of Anzali wetland.
文摘The utilization of non-mydriatic fundus photography-assisted telemedicine to screen patients with diabetes mellitus for diabetic retinopathy provides an accurate, efficient, and cost-effective method to improve early detection of disease. It has also been shown to correlate with increased participation of patients in other aspects of diabetes care.In particular, patients who undergo teleretinal imaging are more likely to meet Comprehensive Diabetes Care Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set metrics, which are linked to preservation of quality-adjusted life years and additional downstream healthcare savings.
文摘Concentrations of metals along with pH,potential redox(Eh),total dissolved solid(TDS),electrical conductivity(EC)and salinity were measured for sediments of different layers, pore and surface water in the Anzali wetland. Also, the diffusive flux of metals was calculated ad compared with the values in other aquatic bodies. The abundance of metals in sediments was Al>Fe>Ca>Ti>Mn>Zn>V>Cr>Ni>Cu>Pb>Co>As>Mo>Ag>Cd,while the pore-water results indicated a different concentration profile:Ca>Mn>Fe>Al>V>Mo>As>Ni>Cu>Co.Anzali wetland is classified within a high ecological risk.Pore-water toxicity test showed it is in non-polluted condition.Eh–pH diagrams showed that all species of elements are in a stable state in surface and pore-waters.However,Mn and Co(in some layers)are in soluble form and free ions and thus are bioavailable to the organisms.V and As are also present in the form of hydrogen compounds and Ni in the form of hydroxides, therefore, they are toxic to aquatic animals due to their solubility and ionic forms.Diffusive fluxes for As,Al,Fe,Ca,Cu,Mn,Mo,Ni and V are 0.43,1.80,48.52,43,147.50,0.12,1.47,0.15,1.28,0.21μg/m^(2)/day,respectively.Cluster analysis showed that in a solid phase of sediments, elements such as Cr,As and Ti are of petroleum and terrestrial origin. In pore-waters,Cu is of petroleum and biological origin, and Mo,As,Cu and Co are controlled by p H.
文摘A dynamic experimental set-up was utilized to measure ibuprofen solubility in supercritical CO2 at the pressure range of 8-13 MPa and the temperatures of 308, 313 and 318 K. Among the semi-empirical EOSs the most desirable deviation (AARD〈10%) was obtained by using Modified Bartle and Modified Mendez-Teja equations in all the studied temperatures.

文摘This paper presents a new robust sliding mode control (SMC) method with well-developed theoretical proof for general uncertain time-varying delay stochastic systems with structural uncertainties and the Brownian noise (Wiener process). The paper is mainly to provide all strict theoretical proofs for the method and results.
文摘In September 2012,a 10-year-old,intact male, terrier mix breed dog was evaluated because ofmultiple,0.5 to 1.2 cm in diameter, round, intradermal nodules around the anus.It had surgery toexcise a firm, painful swelling in the left ventrolateral perianal region and the excision part wasobserved under light microscopy. The mass spreading in to sub acute was of left hind leg out fromthe ventro-lateral of anus,1.2 cm伊1 cm/0 cm伊0.5 cm in size and 125 g in weight.A completeblood cell count, serum biochemistry panel, and urinalysis(cystocentesis sample)were evaluated.Significant laboratory data demonstrated microcytic anemia(hemoglobin of 6.4 mg/dL)and normalcoagulation times. No remarkable abnormalities were found in the complete blood count and anionized calcium of 1.91 mmol/L(reference range,1.1-1.3 mmol/L)was confirmed hypercalcemia. On cytologic and histopathologic examinations, evaluation of the aspirate revealed a prominentpopulation of round-to-polygonal nucleated cells arranged as cohesive groups with isolatedindividual cells.A mild degree of anisocytosis and anisokaryosis was observed. In addition, smaller reserve type cells, with darker cytoplasm and a higher nucleocytoplasmic ratio.Theadenomas generally retain the lobular architecture, but some may contain focal areas of cellularpleomorphism. These changes may suggest malignant transformation and have led to discordantinterpretations, the well-developed stroma surrounding the lobules and hepatoid cells was noted.Ulceration, hemorrhage, necrosis and secondary infection with inflammatory cell infiltrates arecommon. These cytology and histopathology features are consistent with hepatoid gland adenoma.
文摘A 9-year-old emasculated male Spitz with tenesmus and constipation had a subcutaneous mass at the left ventral aspect of the anus with history of polyuria and polydipsia.A complete blood cell count, serum biochemistry panel, and urinalysis(cystocentesis sample)were evaluated.Abnormalities in the serum biochemistry panel included a mildly elevated serum cholesterol concentration(7.28 mmol/L;reference interval,2.70-5.94 mmol/L),increased serum alkaline phosphatase activity(184 U/L;reference interval,9-90 U/L),alanine transaminase(122 U/L;reference interval,5-60 U/L)activity and aspartate aminotransferase(80 U/L;reference interval,5-55 U/L)activity,severe increased total calcium concentration(16.3 mg/dL;reference interval,8.2-12.4 mg/dL or 9.3-11.4 mg/dL),and decreased total calcium concentration(3.4 mg/dL,reference interval,2.5-5.6mg/dL).Furthermore,testing revealed an increased intact parathyroid hormone concentration(38.6 pmol/L;reference interval,3-17 pmol/L).On cytologic and histopathologic examinations, various types of cells were observed. Most of the cells were oval to polygonal and had elliptical or elongate nuclei and a moderate amount of pale to basophilic cytoplasm. The remaining cells had round to oval nuclei and pale to basophilic cytoplasm.Cells of both types were loosely adhered to each other and were arranged in rosette-like structures. Both neoplastic cell types had fine homogenous chromatin and either a small indistinct nucleolus or no visible nucleolus.Mild anisokaryosis and anisocytosis were observed.Histologically, the mass consists of glandular structures formed by cuboidal cells admixed with bundles of spindle cells.Based on location and histologic features, the final diagnosis was adenocarcinoma of the apocrine gland of the anal sac, which should be included as a cytologic differential diagnosis when spindle cells and typical epithelial cells are observed in masses in the region of the anal sac of dogs.
文摘We aimed to explore the diagnosis and treatment of peripheral primitive neuroectodermal tumors (pPNETs). Autologous stem cell rescue besides adjuvant chemotherapy has been associated with prolonged survival.
文摘Landfill leachate is mainly the result of precipitation of water into the layers of buried waste, and biochemical reactions of waste that has dangerous substances and pollutants that lead to the contamination of surface and groundwater resources. The present study has indicated that the most and the least reduction of COD has been through aerated lagoon (95%) and moving-bed biofilm reactor (8%), respectively.
文摘Experience from recent earthquakes such as Gilan, Zanjan, Bam and Lorestan earthquakes in Iran indicated that the constructed buildings are vulnerable against earthquake. So organizing the design decisions in this way is very important so as to manage their effects and interdependencies.
文摘Amongst all forest utilization phases, harvesting plays a key role as the beginning phase of the utilization cycle and has a significant effect on the following phases. In this research, in order to examine the reduction of costs with respect to present and planned operations, the starting time of the harvesting or cutting phase and work flow were recorded. The regression equation is Y = 168.9–0.14(the difference between tree leaning and felling direction) + 0.7(volume).
