Investigation of natural and anthropogenic effects on aerosols optical properties over the Western Pacific ocean by the research vessel KEXUE

In winter 2018,an aerosol physicochemical experiment was conducted in the Western Pacific Ocean(WPO)aboard the Research Vessel KEXUE of Chinese Academy of Sciences.This study systematically investigated both natural and anthropogenic effects on marine aerosols optical properties,as well as the applicability of multi-satellite products and IMPROVE equation.The averaged aerosol optical depth(AOD500 nm)was 0.31±0.16 andÅngström exponent440–675 nm was 0.29±0.30.In offshore China,significant anthropogenic emissions affected the marine environment.In remote WPO,dust aerosols transported from northern China,Siberia,Central Asia,and those settling from the upper troposphere originating from north Africa,Arabian peninsula,and western India,were dominant.The spatial trends of AOD were opposite in the mid-latitude and southern seas of WPO.The highest AOD,0.32±0.23,appeared along the coast of South Asia at mid-latitude,decreasing from offshore seas to remote oceans.In low-latitude and equatorial seas,AOD significantly increased from coast to remote oceans.Ångström exponent dropped significantly from the coast to remote oceans as anthropogenic influence diminished across the entire WPO.Correlation analysis showed that both MODIS-C6 and Himawari AOD prod-ucts showed similar applicability in coastal urban areas,while Himawari AOD is highly recommended for coastal background and marine environment due to its finer resolution.The extinction coefficient derived from PM_(2.5) chemical compositions using IMPROVE algorithm exhibited a significant correlation(R^(2)=0.58)with the con-currently measured AOD in the absence of long-distance transport,suggesting that the IMPROVE is a reasonable proxy of the columnar average of marine aerosol extinctions free from transport influences. 展开更多

Graphene oxide has been used widely as a starting precursor for applications that cater to the needs of tunable graphene. However, the hydrophilic characteristic limits their application, especially in a hydrophobic condition. Herein, a novel non-covalent surface modification approach towards graphene oxide was conducted via a UV-induced photo-polymerization technique that involves two major routes; a UV-sensitive initiator embedded via pi-pi interactions on the graphene planar rings, and the polymerization of hydrophobic polymeric chains along the surface. The functionalized graphene oxide successfully achieved the desired hydrophobicity as it displayed the characteristic of being readily dissolved in organic solvent. Upon its addition into a polymeric solution and subjected to an electrospinning process,non-woven random nanofibers embedded with graphene oxide sheets were obtained. The prepared polymeric nanofibers were subjected to two-step thermal treatments that eventually converted the polymeric chains into a carbon-rich conductive structure. A unique morphology was observed upon the addition of the functionalized graphene oxide, whereby the sheets were embedded and intercalated within the carbon nanofibers and formed a continuous structure. This reinforcement effectively enhanced the electrochemical performance of the carbon nanofibers by recording a specific capacitance of up to 140.10 F/g at the current density of 1 A/g, which was approximately three folds more than that of pristine nanofibers.It also retained the capacitance up to 96.2% after 1000 vigorous charge/discharge cycles. This functionalization technique opens up a new pathway in tuning the solubility nature of graphene oxide towards the synthesis of a graphene oxide-reinforced polymeric structure. 展开更多

Cloning, expression profiling and promoter functional analysis of bone morphogenetic protein 2 in the tongue sole(Cynoglossus semilaevis)

BMP2 plays crucial roles in vertebrate developmental process and acts as a bone inducer during osteogenesis. We present here the molecular cloning of bmp2 cDNA from the marine flatfish Cynoglossus semilaevis, and the analysis of bmp2 expression profiling and promoter function. The full length of bmp2 cDNA sequence is 2 048 bp,which encodes a protein of 422 amino acids. Tissue expression distribution of bmp2 was examined in 14 tissues of mature individuals by quantitative real time PCR(qRT-PCR). The results revealed that bmp2 was expressed ubiquitously, and the highest expression level was detected in the spinal cord. Moreover, bmp2 expression levels were detected at 15 sampling time points of early developmental stages(egg, larva, juvenile and fingerling stages).The highest expression level of bmp2 was observed at the gastrula stage, which was about ten times higher than those at the other three embryo stages. Whole-mount in situ hybridization showed that the bmp2 signal was strongly detected at the location of the crown-like larval fin, heart and liver, and slightly expressed in the notochord at one day post hatch(dph); then the expression of bmp2 started to be concentrated in notochord at three dph. Subsequently, we characterized the 5′-flanking region of bmp2 by testing the promoter activity by Luciferase reporter assays. Positive regulatory region was detected at the location of –179 to +109. The predicted transcription factor binding sites(E-box binding factors, zinc finger transcription factor, etc.) in this region might participate in the transcriptional regulation of the bmp2 gene. 展开更多

Tuning the surface properties of catalysts is an effective method for accelerating water electrolysis.Herein,we propose a directional doping and interfacial coupling strategy to design two surface-functionalized Schottky junction catalysts for coordinating the hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)and oxygen evolution reaction(OER).Directional doping with B/S atoms endows amphiphilic g-C_(3)N_(4)with significant n-/p-type semiconductor properties.Further coupling with Fe_(3)C modulates the energy band levels of B-C_(3)N_(4)and S-C_(3)N_(4),thus resulting in functionalized Schottky junction catalysts with specific surface-adsorption properties.The space-charge region generated by the dual modulation induces a local“OH-and Ht-enriched”environment,thus selectively promoting the kinetic behavior of the OER/HER.Impressively,the designed B-C_(3)N_(4)@Fe_(3)C||S-C_(3)N_(4)@Fe_(3)C pair requires only a low voltage of 1.52 V to achieve efficient water electrolysis at 10 mA cm^(-2).This work highlights the potential of functionalized Schottky junction catalysts for coordinating redox reactions in water electrolysis,thereby resolving the trade-off between catalytic activity and stability. 展开更多

Spatial Random Effects Improve the Predictions of Multispecies Distribution in a Marine Fish Assemblage

Species distribution patterns is one of the important topics in ecology and biological conservation.Although species distribution models have been intensively used in the research,the effects of spatial associations and spatial dependence have been rarely taken into account in the modeling processes.Recently,Joint Species Distribution Models(JSDMs)offer the opportunity to consider both environmental factors and interspecific relationships as well as the role of spatial structures.This study uses the HMSC(Hierarchical Modelling of Species Communities)framework to model the multispecies distribution of a marine fish assemblage,in which spatial associations and spatial dependence is deliberately accounted for.Three HMSC models were implemented with different structures of random effects to address the existence of spatial associations and spatial dependence,and the predictive performances at different levels of sample sizes were analyzed in the assessment.The results showed that the models with random effects could account for a larger proportion of explainable variance(32.8%),and particularly the spatial random effect model provided the best predictive performances(R_(mean)^(2)=0.31),indicating that spatial random effects could substantially influence the results of the joint species distribution.Increasing sample size had a strong effect(R_(mean)^(2)=0.24-0.31)on the predictive accuracy of the spatially-structured model than on the other models,suggesting that optimal model selection should be dependent on sample size.This study highlights the importance of incorporating spatial random effects for JSDM predictions and suggests that the choice of model structures should consider the data quality across species. 展开更多

Nanoferrites of the CoMn_(x)Fe_(2-x)O_(4) series(x=0.00,0.05,0.10,0.15,0.20)were synthesized in this study using the sol-gel auto-combustion approach.The lattice constants were computed within the range of 8.312-8.406Å,while crystallite sizes were estimated to range between 55.20 and 31.40 nm using the Scherrer method.The different functional groups were found to correlate with various ab-sorption bands using Fourier transform infrared(FTIR)spectroscopy.Five active modes were identified by Raman spectroscopy,reveal-ing vibration modes of O2-ions at tetrahedral and octahedral locations.The ferromagnetic hysteresis loop was observed in all the synthes-ized samples,which can be explained by Neel’s model.The results showed that AC conductivity decreased with increasing Mn^(2+)content at the Fe^(2+)site,while the dielectric constant and dielectric loss increased with increasing frequency.Furthermore,the saturation magnetiz-ation(Ms),remnant magnetization(M_(r)),and coercivity(H_(c))all showed declining trends with the increase in Mn^(2+)doping.Finally,the CoMn_(0.20)Fe_(1.8)O_(4) samples showed Ms and M_(r) values ranging from 73.12 to 66.84 emu/g and from 37.77 to 51.89 emu/g,respectively,while Hc values ranged from 1939 to 1312 Oe,after which coercivity increased.Thus,the CoMn_(0.20)Fe_(1.8)O_(4) sample can be considered a prom-ising candidate for magnetic applications. 展开更多

The diurnal variation in the sun's altitude alters the red-to-blue light spectrum ratio under identical water layers.This study explores how juvenile steelhead trout(Oncorhynchus mykiss)(initial weight:34.67 g±2.69 g)responds to these fluctuating light conditions,focusing on growth,daily activity levels,and energy budget.During 16 weeks,the experiment was conducted to examine six lighting scenarios:12 h white light followed by 12 h darkness(12W);12 h blue light followed by 12 h darkness(12B);12 h red light followed by 12 h darkness(12R);1.5 h blue light,9 h red light,and again 1.5 h blue light followed by 12 h darkness(3B9R);3 h blue light,6h red light,and again 3 h blue light followed by 12 h darkness(6B6R);and 12 h combined blue and red lights followed by 12 h darkness(T12BR).The findings reveal that the 3B9R lighting condition notably enhanced specific growth rate(SGR),feed conversion efficiency(FCE),and growth energy allocation,while diminishing daily activity levels in steelhead trout.Conversely,under the 6B6R condition,there was a significant reduction in SGR and FCE,indicating that growth was inhibited.Under the 12R condition,despite the high activity and respiratory energy loss,the trout exhibited improved SGR and FCE with reduced fecal energy loss.The study suggests that 3B9R and 12R lighting conditions might be beneficial in commercial steelhead trout farming,potentially lowering costs and boosting production.These results offer valuable insights for the application of supplementary lighting technology in salmon aquaculture. 展开更多

Interfacial thermal resistance in amorphous Mo/Si structures:A molecular dynamics study

Efficient thermal management is critical to the reliability and performance of nanoscale electronic and photonic devices,particularly those incorporating multilayer structures.In this study,non-equilibrium molecular dynamics simulations were conducted to systematically investigate the effects of temperature,penetration depth,and Si layer thickness on the interfacial thermal resistance(ITR)in nanometer-scale Mo/Si multilayers,widely employed in extreme ultraviolet lithography.The results indicate that:(i)temperature variations exert a negligible influence on the ITR of amorphous Mo/Si interfaces,which remains stable across the range of 200-900 K;(ii)increasing penetration depth enhances the overlap of phonon density of states,thereby significantly reducing ITR;(iii)the ITR decreases with increasing Si thickness up to4.2 nm due to quasi-ballistic phonon transport,but rises again as phonon scattering becomes more pronounced at larger thicknesses.This study provides quantitative insights into heat transfer mechanisms at amorphous interfaces and also offers a feasible strategy for tailoring interfacial thermal transport through structural design. 展开更多

Mariculture has rapidly grown worldwide, which might greatly influence the biogeochemical cycle of organic carbon in coastal seas. In this study, several geochemical parameters, including grain size composition, sedimentary total organic carbon (TOC), total nitrogen (TN), stable carbon (δ13C) and nitrogen (δ15N) isotopic compositions, were analyzed for surface sediments collected from different mariculture zones of Sanggou Bay and in different seasons. We investigated the composition and distribution of or- ganic matter in surface sediments and further evaluated the contribution of mariculture activities to TOC sources. The TOC and TN contents (mass percentage) in the bay were in the range of 0.14% to 1.45% and 0.03% to 0.20%, respectively. The spatial distribution indicated that sedimentary TOC and TN contents in shellfish monoculture and shellfish-kelp polyculture zones were higher than in other mariculture zones, which might be related to grain size composition and mariculture organisms. Seasonal variations of TOC contents were observed in different mariculture zones. The TOC/TN atomic ratio (C/N),δ13C and δ15N were in the ranges of 5.97 to 10.97, 21.76‰ to 13.14‰ and 2.13‰ to 8.08‰, respectively, implying that sedimentary organic matter in Sanggou Bay was the mixture of marine phytoplankton, terrestrial and maricultural sources. A simple mixing model based on δ13C was applied and the results indicated that the relative contributions of organic carbon sources in Sanggou Bay followed the order kelp (36.6%) marine phytoplankton (28.7%) shellfish bio-deposition (23.8%) terrestrial input (10.9%). Surface sediments in Sanggou Bay were domi- nated by mariculture-derived organic carbon, which on average accounted for 60.4% of TOC. 展开更多

Schwann ceils and neurotrophin-3 play an important role in neural regeneration, but the secretion of neurotrophin-3 from Schwann cells is limited, and exogenous neurotrophin-3 is inactived easily in vivo. In this study, we have transfected neurotrophin-3 into Schwann cells cultured in vitro using nanoparticle liposomes. Results showed that neurotrophin-3 was successfully transfected into Schwann cells, where it was expressed effectively and steadily. A composite of Schwann cells transfected with neurotrophin-3 and poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) biodegradable conduits was transplanted into rats to repair 10-mm sciatic nerve defects. Transplantation of the composite scaffold could restore the myoelectricity and wave amplitude of the sciatic nerve by electrophysiological examination, promote nerve axonal and myelin regeneration, and delay apoptosis of spinal motor neurons. Experimental findings indicate that neurotrophin-3 transfected Schwann cells combined with bridge grafting can promote neural regeneration and functional recovery after nerve injury. 展开更多

Theoretical prediction on thermal and mechanical properties of high entropy(Zr(0.2)Hf(0.2)Ti(0.2)Nb(0.2)Ta(0.2))C by deep learning potential 被引量:22

High entropy materials(HEMs, e.g. high entropy alloys, high entropy ceramics) have gained increasing interests due to the possibility that they can provide challenge properties unattainable by traditional materials. High entropy materials(HEMs, e.g. high entropy alloys, high entropy ceramics) have gained increasing interests due to the possibility that they can provide challenge properties unattainable by traditional materials. Though a large number of HEMs have emerged, there is still in lack of theoretical predictions and simulations on HEMs, which is probably caused by the chemical complexity of HEMs. In this work,we demonstrate that the machine learning potentials developed in recent years can overcome the complexity of HEMs, and serve as powerful theoretical tools to simulate HEMs. A deep learning potential(DLP) for high entropy(Zr(0.2) Hf(0.2) Ti(0.2) Nb(0.2) Ta(0.2))C is fitted with the prediction error in energy and force being 9.4 me V/atom and 217 me V/?, respectively. The reliability and generality of the DLP are affirmed,since it can accurately predict lattice parameters and elastic constants of mono-phase carbides TMC(TM = Ti, Zr, Hf, Nb and Ta). Lattice constants(increase from 4.5707 ? to 4.6727 ?), thermal expansion coefficients(increase from 7.85×10-6 K^(-1) to 10.58×10-6 K^(-1)), phonon thermal conductivities(decrease from 2.02 W·m-1·K^(-1) to 0.95 W·m-1·K^(-1)), and elastic properties of high entropy(Zr(0.2) Hf(0.2) Ti(0.2) Nb(0.2) Ta(0.2))C in temperature ranging from 0°C to 2400°C are predicted by molecular dynamics simulations. The predicted room temperature properties agree well with experimental measurements, indicating the high accuracy of the DLP. With introducing of machine learning potentials, many problems that are intractable by traditional methods can be handled now. It is hopeful that deep insight into HEMs can be obtained in the future by such powerful methods. 展开更多

Researching for interphase materials that can protect SiC fibers from oxygen and water vapor attacks has become one of the most important issues for the applications of SiC_f/SiC composites in high-temperature combustion environment. However, such kinds of interphase materials are not available yet. Herein,we report theoretically predicted properties of two promising interphase materials Y_5Si_3 C and Y_3Si_2C_2.Although crystallizing in different structures, they share the common features of layered structure,anisotropic chemical bonding, anisotropic electrical and mechanical properties, and low shear deformation resistance. The bulk moduli for Y_5Si_3C and Y_3Si_2C_2 are 78 and 93 GPa, respectively; while their shear moduli are 52 and 50GPa, respectively. The maximum to minimum Young's modulus ratios are1.44 for Y_5Si_3C and 3.27 for Y_3Si_2C_2. Based on the low shear deformation resistance and low Pugh's ratios(G/B = 0.666 forY_5Si_3C and 0.537 for Y_3Si_2C_2; G: shear modulus; B: bulk modulus), they are predicted as damage tolerant and soft ceramics with predicted Vickers hardness of 9.6 and 6.9 GPa, respectively.The cleavage plane and possible slip systems are(000 l) and(0001)[1120] and(1010)[0001] forY_5Si_3C,and those for Y_3Si_2C_2 are {h00} and(010)[101]. Since the oxidation products are water-vapor resistant Y2 Si2 O7, Y2 SiO5 and/or Y_2 O_3 upon oxidation, and the volume expansions are ca 140% and ca 26% for Y_5Si_3C and Y_3Si_2C_2, they are expected to seal the interfacial cracks in SiC_f/SiC composites. The unique combination of easy cleavage, low shear deformation resistance, volume expansions upon oxidation, and the resistance of the oxidation products to water vapor attack warrant them promising as interphase materials of SiC_f/SiC composites for water-vapor laden environment applications. 展开更多

Surveys were conducted in five voyages in Haizhou Bay and its adjacent coastal area from March to December 2011 during full moon spring tides. The ichthyoplankton assemblages and the environmental factors that affect their spatial and seasonal patterns were determined. Totally 35 and 12 fish egg and larvae taxa were identified, respectively. Over the past several decades, the egg and larval species composition has significantly changed in Haizhou Bay and its adjacent waters, most likely corresponding with the alteration of fishery resources, which are strongly affected by anthropogenic activities and climate change. The Bray-Curtis dissimilarity index identified four assemblages: near-shore bay assemblage, middle bay assemblage and two closely related assemblages(near-shore/middle bay assemblage and middle/edge of bay assemblage). The primary species of each assemblage principally reflected the spawning strategies of adult fish. The near-shore bay assemblage generally occurred in near-shore bay, with depths measuring <20 m, and the middle bay assemblage generally occurred in the middle of bay, with depths measuring 20 to 40 m. Spatial and seasonal variations in ichthyoplankton in each assemblage were determined by interactions between biological behavioral traits and oceanographic features, particularly the variation of local conditions within the constraint of a general reproductive strategy. The results of Spearman's rank correlation analysis indicated that both fish egg and larval abundance were positively correlated with depth, which is critical to the oceanographic features in Haizhou Bay. 展开更多

An investigation on the mechanical and thermal properties of Yb3Al5O12 is conducted by a combination of first- principles calculations and chemical bond theory calculation. Density functional theory (DFT) computations were performed for the structural, mechanical, and thermal properties, and the results are confirmed by chemical bond theory. Based on the calculated equilibrium crystal structure, heterogeneous bonding nature is revealed. The full set of elastic constants and mechanical properties of Yb3Al5O12 are presented for the first time. The thermal expansion coefficient of Yb3Al5O12 is calculated to be 7.5 × 10^-6 K-1 by chemical bond theory. In addition, the minimum thermal conductivity of Yb3Al5O12 is estimated to be 1.22 W m-t K-1, and the origin of such low thermal conductivity is discussed. Our theoretical results highlight the potential of Yb3Al5O12 as a prospective thermal barrier coating material. 展开更多

High entropy diborides are new categories of ultra-high temperature ceramics,which are believed promising candidates for applications in hypersonic vehicles.However,knowledge on high temperature thermal and mechanical properties of high entropy diborides is still lacking unit now.In this work,variations of thermal and elastic properties of high entropy(Ti_(0.2)Zr_(0.2)Hf_(0.2)Nb_(0.2)Ta_(0.2))B_(2) with respect to temperature were predicted by molecular dynamics simulations.Firstly,a deep learning potential for Ti-Zr-Hf-Nb-Ta-B diboride system was fitted with its prediction error in energy and force respectively being 9.2 meV/atom and 208 meV/A,in comparison with first-principles calculations.Then,temperature dependent lattice constants,anisotropic thermal expansions,anisotropic phonon thermal conductivities,and elastic properties of high entropy(Ti_(0.2)Zr_(0.2)Hf_(0.2)Nb_(0.2)Ta_(0.2))B_(2) from 0℃to 2400℃were evaluated,where the predicted room temperature values agree well with experimental measurements.In addition,intrinsic lattice distortions of(Ti_(0.2)Zr_(0.2)Hf_(0.2)Nb_(0.2)Ta_(0.2))B_(2) were analyzed by displacements of atoms from their ideal positions,which are in an order of 10^(-3) A and one order of magnitude smaller than those in(Ti_(0.2)Zr_(0.2)Hf_(0.2)Nb_(0.2)Ta_(0.2))C.It indicates that lattice distortions in(Ti_(0.2)Zr_(0.2)Hf_(0.2)Nb_(0.2)Ta_(0.2))B_(2) is not so severe as expected.With the new paradigm of machine learning potential,deep insight into high entropy materials can be achieved in the future,since the chemical and structural complexly in high entropy materials can be well handled by machine learning potential. 展开更多

However, decomposition above 1400℃ is the bottleneck that limiting its application at high temperatures. To improve the thermal stability, a novel multicomponent equimolar solid solution(Ti Zr Hf)P2O7 was designed and successfully synthesized in this work inspired by high-entropy ceramic(HEC) concept. The as-synthesized(Ti Zr Hf)P2O7 exhibits good thermal stability, which is not decomposed after heating at 1550℃ for 3 h. It also shows lower thermal conductivity(0.78 W m^-1 K^-1) compared to the constituting metal pyrophosphates Ti P2O7, Zr P2O7 and Hf P2O7. The combination of high thermal stability and low thermal conductivity renders(Ti Zr Hf)P2O7 promising for high temperature thermal insulating applications. 展开更多

Fine grains and slow grain growth rate are beneficial to preventing the thermal stress-induced cracking and thermal conductivity increase of thermal barrier coatings.Inspired by the sluggish diffusion effect of high-entropy materials,a novel high-entropy(HE)rare-earth zirconate solid solution(La0.2Ce0.2Nd0.2Sm0.2Eu0.2)2 Zr2 O7 was designed and successfully synthesized in this work.The as-synthesized(La0.2Ce0.2Nd0.2Sm0.2Eu0.2)2 Zr2 O7 is phase-pure with homogeneous rare-earth element distribution.The thermal conductivity of as-synthesized(La0.2Ce0.2Nd0.2Sm0.2Eu0.2)2 Zr2 O7 at room temperature is as low as 0.76 W m^-1 K^-1.Moreover,after being heated at 1500℃for 1-18 h,the average grain size of(La0.2Ce0.2Nd0.2Sm0.2Eu0.2)2 Zr2 O7 only increases from 1.69μm to 3.92μm,while the average grain size of La2Zr2O7 increases from 1.96μm to 8.89μm.Low thermal conductivity and sluggish grain growth rate indicate that high-entropy(La0.2Ce0.2Nd0.2Sm0.2Eu0.2)2Zr2O7 is suitable for application as a thermal barrier coating material and it may possess good thermal stress-induced cracking resistance. 展开更多

The South Yellow Sea Basin is a large sedimentary basin superimposed by the Mesozoic-Paleozoic marine sedimentary basin and the Mesozoic-Cenozoic terrestrial sedimentary basin, where no oil and gas fields have been di... The South Yellow Sea Basin is a large sedimentary basin superimposed by the Mesozoic-Paleozoic marine sedimentary basin and the Mesozoic-Cenozoic terrestrial sedimentary basin, where no oil and gas fields have been discovered after exploration for 58 years. After the failure of oil and gas exploration in terrestrial basins, the exploration target of the South Yellow Sea Basin turned to the marine Mesozoic- Paleozoic strata. After more than ten years' investigation and research, a lot of achievements have been obtained. The latest exploration obtained effective seismic reflection data of deep marine facies by the application of seismic exploration technology characterized by high coverage, abundant low-frequency components and strong energy source for the deep South Yellow Sea Basin. In addition, some wells drilled the Middle-Upper Paleozoic strata, with obvious oil and gas shows discovered in some horizons. The recent petroleum geological research on the South Yellow Sea Basin shows that the structure zoning of the marine residual basin has been redetermined, the basin structure has been defined, and 3 seismic reflection marker layers are traceable and correlatable in the residual thick Middle-Paleozoic strata below the continental Meso-Cenozoic strata in the South Yellow Sea Basin. Based on these, the seismic sequence of the marine sedimentary strata was established. According to the avaliable oil and gas exploration and research, the marine Mesozoic-Paleozoic oil and gas prospects of the South Yellow Sea were predicted as follows.(1) The South Yellow Sea Basin has the same sedimentary formation and evolution history during the sedimentary period of the Middle-Paleozoic marine basin with the Sichuan Basin.(2) There are 3 regional high-quality source rocks.(3) The carbonate and clastic reservoirs are developed in the Mesozoic- Paleozoic strata.(4) The three source-reservoir-cap assemblages are relatively intact.(5) The Laoshan Uplift is a prospect area for the Lower Paleozoic oil and gas, and the Wunansha Uplift is one for the marine Upper Paleozoic oil and gas.(6) The Gaoshi stable zone in the Laoshan Uplift is a favorable zone.(7) The marine Mesozoic-Paleozoic strata in the South Yellow Sea Basin has the geological conditions required to form large oil and gas fields, with remarkable oil and gas resources prospect. An urgent problem to be addressed now within the South Yellow Sea Basin is to drill parametric wells for the Lower Paleozoic strata as the target, to establish the complete stratigraphic sequence since the Paleozoic period, to obtain resource evaluation parameters, and to realize the strategic discovery and achieve breakthrough in oil and gas exploration understanding. 展开更多

In a previous study,we found that long non-coding genes in Alzheimer’s disease(AD)are a result of endogenous gene disorders caused by the recruitment of microRNA(miRNA)and mRNA,and that miR-200a-3p and other representative miRNAs can mediate cognitive impairment and thus serve as new biomarkers for AD.In this study,we investigated the abnormal expression of miRNA and mRNA and the pathogenesis of AD at the epigenetic level.To this aim,we performed RNA sequencing and an integrative analysis of the cerebral cortex of the widely used amyloid precursor protein and presenilin-1 double transgenic mouse model of AD.Overall,129 mRNAs and 68 miRNAs were aberrantly expressed.Among these,eight down-regulated miRNAs and seven up-regulated miRNAs appeared as promising noninvasive biomarkers and therapeutic targets.The main enriched signaling pathways involved mitogen-activated kinase protein,phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase-protein kinase B,mechanistic target of rapamycin kinase,forkhead box O,and autophagy.An miRNA-mRNA network between dysregulated miRNAs and corresponding target genes connected with AD progression was also constructed.These miRNAs and mRNAs are potential biomarkers and therapeutic targets for new treatment strategies,early diagnosis,and prevention of AD.The present results provide a novel perspective on the role of miRNAs and mRNAs in AD.This study was approved by the Experimental Animal Care and Use Committee of Institute of Medicinal Biotechnology of Beijing,China(approval No.IMB-201909-D6)on September 6,2019. 展开更多

Objective To explore the relationship between ulcerative colitis(UC) and lung injuries by assessing their clinical manifestations and characteristics. Methods From July 2009 to April 2012, 91 UC patients presenting to Longhua Hospital who met the established inclusion and exclusion criteria were enrolled in this retrospective study. According to the scores of disease activity index, the patients were divided into the mild, moderate, and severe groups. Meanwhile, the records of pulmonary symptoms, chest X-ray image, and pulmonary function were reviewed. Results Sixty-eight(74.7%) patients had at least 1 pulmonary symptom, such as cough(38.5%), shortness of breath(27.5%), and expectoration(17.6%). And 77(84.6%) had at least 1 ventilation abnormality. Vital capacity value was significantly lower in the severe group than that in the mild group(91.82%±10.38% vs. 98.92%±12.12%, P<0.05). Conclusions Lung injury is a common extraintestinal complication of UC. According to the theory in Traditional Chinese Medicine that the lung and large intestine are related, both the lungs and large intestine should be treated simultaneously. 展开更多
