The results show that MKPC sets rapidly with less than 8% of borax, which is unfavorable to the application of MKPC on construction. Adding more than 8%(including 8%) of borax results in a secondary hydration peak for MKPC, in which the process of hydration can be divided into five stages, namely, pre-induction period, induction period, acceleration period, deceleration period and stable period. M/P ratios could not change the multi-step reactive stages but higher M/P ratios could accelerate the hydration. Borax tends to impact the formation of Mg-containing hydrated products.展开更多

Effects of particle size distributions of the admixtures on the mechanical properties and porosity of concrete were studied. The relationship between the size distribution of the admixture and the concrete porosity was obtained based on the regression analysis of the data. The results show that compressive and flexural strengths of the concrete at 3 d and 7 d increase with the decrease of the admixture particle size. With regards to the concrete at 14 d, lowering the particle size of fly ash/diatomite admixture leads to the increasing of the compressive and flexural strength of the concrete, before decreasing afterwards again. At the d50 value of 15.2 μm, the mechanical properties of concrete were greatly improved. In addition, finer particle of the fly ash/diatomite admixture leads to significant micro-aggregate effect and volcanic ash effect and thus obtains denser pore structure, smaller porosity and higher hydration degree of the cementitious material. Especially for the samples curing at the early stage, the improving effect on the pore structure was obvious.展开更多

Then, a novel cement based composite absorbing coating(CB-CAC) was prepared by adding the Mn-ACC, manganese zinc ferrite and rubber particles into cement. XRD method was used to analyze the reaction products of the Mn-ACC. The tensile bond strength and the wave absorbing properties of the CB-CACs were also tested. The results showed that the crystallinity of MnO_2 formed in the Mn-ACC was poor. Adding Mn-ACC into the CB-CAC led to first increase and then decrease of the tensile bond strength. The tensile bond strength reached 1.89 MPa with 8.51% of the Mn-ACC. The CB-CACs obtained the optimal absorbing properties with the cement, manganese zinc ferrite, Mn-ACC, rubber particles and H_2O mass ratio of 7.5?7.5?1?1?5.5, respectively. The band width of the reflection below-10 dB was up to 8.8 GHz, which accounted for 57.14% of the test band.展开更多
