Despite compulsory Chinese requirements (Level 4 HSK), a non-immersive environment often leads to motivation issues. Findings reveal that students perceive their needs as phased, homogeneous yet diverse, and not universal. Daily and professional communication demands, positive teacher-student relationships, and successful language application drive deep learning. Key strategies are proposed, including enhancing teacher quality, developing structured materials that bridge general and medical Chinese, implementing scenario-based teaching that prioritizes speaking/listening, and optimizing the curriculum for continuous exposure and a balanced workload. The ultimate goal is to cultivate competent communicators for medical practice and daily life in China.展开更多

These measurements confirm an antiferromagnetic transition at T_N=9 K. Both MCE and magnetoresistance (MR) show quadratic dependence on the applied magnetic field, indicating the presence of spin fluctuations in the alloy. The maximum values of the magnetic entropy change determined from the isothermal magnetization data for magnetic field change of 7 and9 T are found to be 10.5 and 15.6 J/kg·K, respectively. As a consequence of the spin fluctuations effect, the MCE peaks are pulled towards high temperature side as asymmetrically broadened peak. The MR attains a large positive value of 73%at 2 K in 8 T. The large MR and reversible MCE make this alloy an attractive multifunctional magnetic material.展开更多

文摘This study examines the language learning needs and influencing factors of international MBBS students in China, to promote deep learning. The ultimate goal is to cultivate competent communicators for medical practice and daily life in China.

文摘AI-driven fintech industries face critical vulnerabilities from volatile rare earth and metallic mineral prices, geopolitical instability, and inflationary pressures.Sovereign inflation-linked bonds serve as incentives for investors in technological industries, despite the risks associated with rising costs of goods.By analyzing global data(8 September 2020–9 September 2023)via cross-quantilogram,recursive cross-quantilogram and quantile vector autoregressive approaches, this study reveals how Russia–Ukraine geopolitical risk, sovereign inflation–linked bonds, rare earth and metallic mineral prices disrupt AI-driven fintech outputs.Key findings indicate that rising rare earth prices suppress fintech productivity in long-term growth periods, whereas sovereign inflation-linked bonds mitigate short-term inflationary risk.Geopolitical turmoil disproportionately harms fintech outputs during market downturns, with both mineral price volatility and conflict-driven shocks amplifying systemic instability in fintech outputs and sovereign inflation-linked bonds. These results urge policymakers to secure critical mineral supply chains, promote inflation-hedging financial instruments, and foster international cooperation to buffer AI-driven fintech sectors against geopolitical and resource-driven disruptions.

文摘The application of artificial intelligence(AI)in carotid atherosclerotic plaque detection via computed tomography angiography(CTA)has significantly ad-vanced over the past decade. This mini-review consolidates recent innovations in deep learning architectures, domain adaptation techniques, and automated pl-aque characterization methodologies.Hybrid models, such as residual U-Net-Pyramid Scene Parsing Network, exhibit a remarkable precision of 80.49%in plaque segmentation, outperforming radiologists in diagnostic efficiency by reducing analysis time from minutes to mere seconds.Domain-adaptive fra-meworks,such as Lesion Assessment through Tracklet Evaluation, demonstrate robust performance across heterogeneous imaging datasets, achieving an area under the curve(AUC)greater than 0.88.Furthermore,novel approaches inte-grating U-Net and Efficient-Net architectures, enhanced by Bayesian optimi-zation,have achieved impressive correlation coefficients(0.89)for plaque quanti-fication.AI-powered CTA also enables high-precision three-dimensional vascular segmentation, with a Dice coefficient of 0.9119,and offers superior cardiovascular risk stratification compared to traditional Agatston scoring, yielding AUC values of 0.816 vs 0.729 at a 15-year follow-up.These breakthroughs address key challenges in plaque motion analysis, with systolic retractive motion biomarkers successfully identifying 80%of vulnerable plaques.Looking ahead, future directions focus on enhancing the interpretability of AI models through explainable AI and leveraging federated learning to mitigate data heterogeneity. This mini-review underscores the transformative potential of AI in carotid plaque assessment, offering substantial implic-ations for stroke prevention and personalized cerebrovascular management strategies.
文摘Computational modeling plays a vital role in advancing our understanding and application of soliton theory. It allows researchers to both simulate and analyze complex soliton phenomena and discover new types of soliton solutions. In the present study,we computationally derive the bright and dark optical solitons for a Schrödinger equation that contains a specific type of nonlinearity. This nonlinearity in the model is the result of the combination of the parabolic law and the non-local law of self-phase modulation structures. The numerical simulation is accomplished through the application of an algorithm that integrates the classical Adomian method with the Laplace transform. The results obtained have not been previously reported for this type of nonlinearity.Additionally, for the purpose of comparison, the numerical examination has taken into account some scenarios with fixed parameter values.Notably, the numerical derivation of solitons without the assistance of an exact solution is an exceptional take-home lesson fromthis study.Furthermore, the proposed approach is demonstrated to possess optimal computational accuracy in the results presentation, which includes error tables and graphs. It is important tomention that themethodology employed in this study does not involve any form of linearization, discretization,or perturbation.Consequently, the physical nature of the problem to be solved remains unaltered, which is one of the main advantages.

文摘The aim of this work was to study the influence of the processing route on the microstructural constituents, hardness andtribological(wear and friction)behavior of Ti6Al4V biomedical alloy. In this sense, three different processing routes were studied:conventional casting, hot pressing and selective laser melting.A comprehensive metallurgical, mechanical and tribologicalcharacterization was performed by X-ray diffraction analysis,Vickers hardness tests and reciprocating ball-on-plate wear tests ofTi6Al4V/Al2O3sliding pairs. The results showed a great influence of the processing route on the microstructural constituents andconsequent differences on hardness and wear performance. The highest hardness and wear resistance were obtained for Ti6Al4Valloy produced by selective laser melting, due to a markedly different cooling rate that leads to significantly different microstructurewhen compared to hot pressing and casting. This study assesses and confirms that selective laser melting is potential to producecustomized Ti6Al4V implants with improved wear performance.

文摘Profile monitoring is used to check the stability of the quality of a product over time when the product quality is best represented by a function at each time point. However, most previous monitoring approaches have not considered that the argument values may vary from profile to profile, which is common in practice.A novel nonparametric control scheme based on profile error is proposed for monitoring nonlinear profiles with varied argument values. The proposed scheme uses the metrics of profile error as the statistics to construct the control charts.More details about the design of this nonparametric scheme are also discussed. The monitoring performance of the combined control scheme is compared with that of alternative nonparametric methods via simulation.Simulation studies show that the combined scheme is effective in detecting parameter error and is sensitive to small shifts in the process. In addition, due to the properties of the charting statistics, the out-of-control signal can provide diagnostic information for the users. Finally, the implementation steps of the proposed monitoring scheme are given and applied for monitoring the blade manufacturing process. With the application in blade manufacturing of aircraft engines, the proposed nonparametric control scheme is effective, interpretable, and easy to apply.

文摘We report on the magnetic, magnetocaloric, thermal, and electrical transport properties of Tb_(4)Coln alloy, which crystallizes in two phases,Tb_6Co_(2.1)In_(0.8)(space group Immm)and Tb_(2)In_(0.9)Co_(0.1)(space group P6_(3)/mmc),respectively.The alloy reveals three successive magnetic transitions around T_(1)(163 K),T_(2)(50 K),and T_(3)(29 K),respectively, associated with paramagnetic to ferromagnetic transition and two sequential antiferromagnetic transitions. The low-temperature transition T_(3) follows the first-order magnetic behavior and exhibits the field-induced magnetic transition.Meanwhile,T_(2) and T_(1) are found to be second-order in nature which opens a possibility for hysteresis-free magnetocaloric application. The magnetocaloric properties are determined using different magnetocaloric figures of merits such as-ΔS_(M),ΔT_(ad).RCP,and TEC(10).Additionally,the universal curve behavior in the isothermal entropy change unveils the variation in critical exponents around T_(1) and T_(2) due to the magnetic inhomogeneity in the alloy.Besides, the electrical transport properties of the metallic alloy denote the maximum magnetoresistance of-10%around T_(1).
文摘Turkey, containing three of the world’s biodiversity hotspots,is a hub for genetic biodiversity. However, the vegetation cover has drastically changed in recent decades as a result of substantial transformations in landuse practices.A map of the potential natural vegetation can be used to represent the biodiversity of a country, and therefore a reference to effectively develop conservation strategies. The multinomial logistic regression is used to simulate the probability of different biomes occurring in the country using elevation, climatological data and natural vegetation data.A correlation test was applied to the climatological data to determine which predictors influence vegetation the most. These were temperature, precipitation, relative humidity and cloudiness. The Ordinary Kriging method was employed to transform the data into the format for the multinomial logistic regression model. The model showed that temperature was the most influencing factor with respect to Turkey’s vegetation and distribution follows a similar distribution as the various macroclimates.Broadleaf forests are mostly found in the Black Sea region, which is also the wettest region of the country. The Marmara region is the only other region where there are broadleaf forests.Mixed forests and shrublands are mostly located in Central Anatolia due to the region’s low humidity which favours herbaceous flora.Coniferous forests were dominant in the Aegean and Mediterranean regions, attributed to high temperatures.

文摘The adequacy of language education largely depends on the favorable and unfavorable emotions that teachers and students experience throughout the education process.Simply said, emotional factors play a key role in improving the quality of language teaching and learning.Furthermore, these emotional factors also promote the well-being of language teachers and learners and place them in a suitable mental condition. In view of the favorable impact of emotional factors on the mental health of language teachers and learners, many educational scholars around the world have studied these factors, their background, and their pedagogical consequences.Nonetheless, the majority of previous studies have employed traditional research methods in assessing these variables and their influences on language teachers’and learners’mental health.Because of the complex and dynamic quality of emotional factors, traditional research approaches often fail to evaluate these factors and their dynamic,non-linear connections with teachers’and learners’mental health and well-being.Accordingly,some novel research approaches are required to measure the dynamicity and complexity of emotional factors in language education settings. To address this call, the current state-of-the-art conceptual article seeks to provide new insights for investigating emotional factors and their potential impact on language teachers’and learners’mental states. This study also intends to offer a comprehensive list of emerging methods that take into account the complex and dynamic nature of emotional variables. Finally, the study outlines the potential implications of this review for educational researchers.

文摘OBJECTIVE:To explore the mechanism of Dangua Fang(丹瓜方,DGR)in multi-target and multi-method regulation of glycolipid metabolism based on phosphoproteomics.METHODS:Sprague-Dawley rats with normal glucose levels were randomly divided into three groups, including a conventional diet control group(Group A),high-fat-highsugar diet model group(Group B),and DGR group(Group C,high-fat-high-sugar diet containing 20.5 g DGR).After 10 weeks of intervention, the fasting blood glucose(FBG),2 h blood glucose[PBG;using the oral glucose tolerance test(OGTT)],hemoglobin A1c(HbA1c),plasma total cholesterol(TC),and triglycerides(TG)were tested, and the livers of rats were removed to calculate the liver index. Then, hepatic portal TG were tested using the Gross permanent optimization-participatiory action planning enzymatic method and phosphoproteomics was performed using liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometry(LC-MS/MS)analysis followed by database search and bioinformatics analysis. Finally, cell experiments were used to verify the results of phosphoproteomics.Phosphorylated mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase kinase kinase 4(MAP4k4)and phosphorylated adducin 1(ADD1)were detected using western blotting.RESULTS:DGR effectively reduced PBG,TG,and the liver index(P<0.05),and significantly decreased HbA1c,TC,and hepatic portal TG(P<0.01),showed significant hematoxylin and eosin(HE)staining, red oil O staining, and Masson staining of liver tissue. The total spectrum was 805334,matched spectrum was 260471,accounting for accounting 32.3%,peptides were 19995,modified peptides were 14671,identified proteins were 4601,quantifiable proteins were 4417,identified sites were 15749,and quantified sites were 14659.Based on the threshold of expression fold change(>1.2),DGR upregulated the modification of 228 phosphorylation sites involving 204 corresponding function proteins, and downregulated the modification of 358 phosphorylation sites involving 358 corresponding function proteins, which included correcting 75 phosphorylation sites involving 64 corresponding function proteins relating to glycolipid metabolism. Therefore,DGR improved biological tissue processes, including information storage and processing, cellular processes and signaling, and metabolism. The metabolic functions regulated by DGR mainly include energy production and conversion, carbohydrate transport and metabolism, lipid transport and metabolism, inorganic ion transport and metabolism, secondary metabolite biosynthesis, transport, and catabolism. In vitro phosphorylation validation based on cell experiments showed that the change trends in the phosphorylation level of MAP4k4 and ADD1 were consistent with that of previous phosphoproteomics studies.CONCLUSION:DGR extensively corrects the modification of phosphorylation sites to improve corresponding glycolipid metabolism-related protein expression in rats with glycolipid metabolism disorders, thereby regulating glycolipid metabolism through a multi-target and multi-method process.

文摘We report the results of magnetic, thermodynamic, transport and magnetocaloric effect (MCE) studies of newly synthesized Gd_(10)Co_(20)Si_(70) alloy. The large MR and reversible MCE make this alloy an attractive multifunctional magnetic material.
文摘Objective:This current study pursued an exploration of the psychological mechanism that determines college students'continuance intention to use fitness apps. Methods:This current study adopted a mixed methods research that composed two distinct phases.Study 1 was quantitative research that helped to identify determinants of Chinese college students'continuance intention to use.A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 379 college students to ascertain their user experience.Study 2 was qualitative research.A semi-structured interview was conducted with a sample of 10 college students.Study 2 can be seen as a follow-up study and it pursued an in-depth understanding on how college students use fitness apps in the everyday life and their views towards study 1's major findings. Results:The results revealed that five factors(confirmed usefulness, confirmed ease of use, satisfaction, fitness achievement and social connection)were found to significantly and positively affect college students'continuous intention to use fitness apps.Entertainment did not show obvious impact. In the interview, college students reported that even if they don't obtain entertainment from fitness apps, they will still push themselves to use them, because they have a very specific goal when using fitness apps, which is to achieve health and fitness. Conclusion:These findings indicated that successful fitness apps should make users feel convenient to use and indeed improves the fitness user's efficiency.Besides, people are more eager to get the information with strong credibility with the negligible effort. This implies more efforts should be made to design apps that can provide high-quality services. Moreover,if apps designers can pay more attention to protecting the personal information and data,it will inspire more people to use social connection functions.

文摘Powerful alluvial rivers in the northern Alborz mountain ranges erode river banks due to having high slopes. Most of these rivers flow in forest areas. In this research, the rate of the river bank erosion was examined using the exposed roots of the trees. For this purpose,8 reaches of Lavij Stream were investigated. To determine the first year of root exposure, two sets of macroscopic and microscopic indicators were utilized.Accordingly, the rate of the stream bank erosion was estimated. The results were analyzed by using statistical test, which showed insignificant differences between the two groups of indicators.Due to its more abundance(frequency)on the margins and easy detection of its root through the exposure(macroscopic and microscopic)indicators,Alnus glutinosa(black alder)species could be more easily and accurately analyzed as compared with any other tree species in the region. The mean erosion rate of the riverbank using the extruded roots was estimated to be 0.08 m/yr.The hydrological analyses of flood flows showed that 95%of Lavij Stream bank erosion was caused by the river bank full discharges with a return period of 1-3 years.
文摘BACKGROUND The present study investigated perfectionism from the bioecological model perspective as a multidimensional construct manifested in forms of excessively high personal standards, exaggerated worries about personal mistakes, doubt in one’s performance, oversized order and organization emphasis, and the importance of parental valuations and expectations.AIM To investigate the relation between perfectionism;the quality of family, peer, and college relationships;and media usage and content interests.METHODS The research was implemented in 2020 with 203 students(134 female,66%)aged 18-25 years, enrolled at the University of Osijek in Croatia. The questionnaire had five parts:A)sociodemographic data;B)the Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale;C)the“general life satisfaction”and“current situational life satisfaction”scale;D)family, peer, and college relationships quality scale;and E)media usage and content interests scale. All of the implemented instruments showed satisfactory reliability.A hierarchical regression analysis was implemented with the aim of establishing significant perfectionism predictors.RESULTS Age and gender were significant predictors of perfectionism.Participants with lower family relationship quality reported higher parental expectations and complaining as well as significantly higher doubts in personal performance and concern about mistakes.Similarly,a lower peer relationship quality predicted doubts in personal performance and stronger concerns about mistakes. The quality of college relationships positively predicted higher perfectionist personal standards and organization.General life satisfaction predicted higher concerns about mistakes, while current situational life satisfaction predicted higher levels of perfectionist organization.Media usage intensity had no significant effect.Adolescent interest in information-educational media predicted higher personal standards as well as concern about mistakes and organization.Higher interests in entertainment media content predicted more concern about mistakes, while interest in negative media content negatively predicted organization in adolescents.CONCLUSION Sociodemographic traits, relationships with family, peers and colleagues,as well as life satisfaction and media content interests represent significant adolescent perfectionism predictors, explaining 14%-28%of individual perfectionism dimensions.
