Despite compulsory Chinese requirements (Level 4 HSK), a non-immersive environment often leads to motivation issues. Findings reveal that students perceive their needs as phased, homogeneous yet diverse, and not universal. Daily and professional communication demands, positive teacher-student relationships, and successful language application drive deep learning. Key strategies are proposed, including enhancing teacher quality, developing structured materials that bridge general and medical Chinese, implementing scenario-based teaching that prioritizes speaking/listening, and optimizing the curriculum for continuous exposure and a balanced workload. The ultimate goal is to cultivate competent communicators for medical practice and daily life in China.展开更多

These measurements confirm an antiferromagnetic transition at T_N=9 K. Both MCE and magnetoresistance (MR) show quadratic dependence on the applied magnetic field, indicating the presence of spin fluctuations in the alloy. The maximum values of the magnetic entropy change determined from the isothermal magnetization data for magnetic field change of 7 and9 T are found to be 10.5 and 15.6 J/kg·K, respectively. As a consequence of the spin fluctuations effect, the MCE peaks are pulled towards high temperature side as asymmetrically broadened peak. The MR attains a large positive value of 73%at 2 K in 8 T. The large MR and reversible MCE make this alloy an attractive multifunctional magnetic material.展开更多

文摘Since ancient times, humans have endeavored to maintain their health. These methods are collectively referred to as“Yang Sheng(养生)”or health preservation practices. The concept of Yang Sheng originated and was nurtured in ancient China.By the Ming dynasty, this practice had transcended the elite scholarly class and began to garner the attention of the general populace. With the development of the publishing industry,a large number of Yang Sheng-related books were created, disseminated, and widely read.Zhu Quan(朱权),a representative literatus of the Ming dynasty and a member of the imperial family, left behind a vast body of writings across multiple fields, including Yang Sheng, medicine,Daoism, history, drama, and phonology.Among these, his works on Yang Sheng and medicine were also transmitted to Korea and Japan, exerting an influence on East Asian Yang Sheng culture.Previous studies have largely lacked a systematic examination of Zhu Quan’s thought on Yang Sheng and have paid little attention to the transmission of this thought in Korea and Japan. This study begins with an analysis of his Yang Sheng-related text Huo Ren Xin(《活人心》Enlivening the Human Heart),and through an exploration of the core ideas in this work as well as its dissemination and reception in Korea and Japan,it attempts to shed light on the modes of transmission and exchange within East Asian Yang Sheng culture.First, the paper investigates the formation of Zhu Quan’s thinking by examining his life and intellectual background. It then analyzes the compilation, content, and conceptual features of Huo Ren Xin,and explores its transmission in Korea and Japan based on extant editions. Finally, through an examination of medical texts and literary works by scholars in Korea and Japan, the study further elucidates the acceptance and transmission of Zhu Quan’s Yang Sheng thought across East Asia.
文摘BACKGROUND Alexithymia is defined as difficulties in identifying, expressing, and understanding emotions. An unapproving environment during childhood is defined as the child not receiving emotional approval from their parents, being punished,or having their emotions devalued. The formation of self-esteem is shaped by the influence of parental behavior during childhood. The commu-nication that the child establishes with their parents contributes to their increased self-esteem and sense of importance. The absence of this may play a role in developmental psychopathology.AIM To examine the mediating role of self-esteem in the relationship between a disapproving environment in childhood and alexithymia.METHODS The research in the relational screening model was conducted with 404 participants.Demographic Information Form,Disapproving Environment Scale in Childhood,Toronto Alexithymia Scale, and Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale were used as data collection tools.Hayes’bootstrapping technique was used in the analysis of the data obtained from the research.RESULTS As a result of the analyses, parental disapproval positively predicted the level of alexithymia(rmother=0.51,rfather=0.52,P<0.05)and negatively predicted selfesteem(rmother=-0.75,rfather=-0.67,P<0.05).Additionally,self-esteem negatively predicted alexithymia(r=-0.58,P<0.05).It was observed that self-esteem had a partial mediating effect on the relationship between parental disapproval and alexithymia.Family types were analyzed separately as chaotic, approving, perfect, and typical.Of these, the chaotic family type positively predicted alexithymia(r=0.33,P<0.05)and negatively predicted self-esteem(r=-0.60,P<0.05).The approving family type negatively predicted alexithymia(r=-0.43,P<0.05)and positively predicted self-esteem(r=0.61,P<0.05).The perfect family type negatively predicted alexithymia(r=-0.27,P<0.05)and positively predicted self-esteem(r=-0.45,P<0.05).CONCLUSION The type of family in which the child grows up in and parental disapproval during childhood affected the child’s self-esteem and caused alexithymic personality traits.

文摘This study examines the language learning needs and influencing factors of international MBBS students in China, to promote deep learning. The ultimate goal is to cultivate competent communicators for medical practice and daily life in China.

文摘The application of artificial intelligence(AI)in carotid atherosclerotic plaque detection via computed tomography angiography(CTA)has significantly ad-vanced over the past decade. This mini-review consolidates recent innovations in deep learning architectures, domain adaptation techniques, and automated pl-aque characterization methodologies.Hybrid models, such as residual U-Net-Pyramid Scene Parsing Network, exhibit a remarkable precision of 80.49%in plaque segmentation, outperforming radiologists in diagnostic efficiency by reducing analysis time from minutes to mere seconds.Domain-adaptive fra-meworks,such as Lesion Assessment through Tracklet Evaluation, demonstrate robust performance across heterogeneous imaging datasets, achieving an area under the curve(AUC)greater than 0.88.Furthermore,novel approaches inte-grating U-Net and Efficient-Net architectures, enhanced by Bayesian optimi-zation,have achieved impressive correlation coefficients(0.89)for plaque quanti-fication.AI-powered CTA also enables high-precision three-dimensional vascular segmentation, with a Dice coefficient of 0.9119,and offers superior cardiovascular risk stratification compared to traditional Agatston scoring, yielding AUC values of 0.816 vs 0.729 at a 15-year follow-up.These breakthroughs address key challenges in plaque motion analysis, with systolic retractive motion biomarkers successfully identifying 80%of vulnerable plaques.Looking ahead, future directions focus on enhancing the interpretability of AI models through explainable AI and leveraging federated learning to mitigate data heterogeneity. This mini-review underscores the transformative potential of AI in carotid plaque assessment, offering substantial implic-ations for stroke prevention and personalized cerebrovascular management strategies.
文摘Computational modeling plays a vital role in advancing our understanding and application of soliton theory. It allows researchers to both simulate and analyze complex soliton phenomena and discover new types of soliton solutions. In the present study,we computationally derive the bright and dark optical solitons for a Schrödinger equation that contains a specific type of nonlinearity. This nonlinearity in the model is the result of the combination of the parabolic law and the non-local law of self-phase modulation structures. The numerical simulation is accomplished through the application of an algorithm that integrates the classical Adomian method with the Laplace transform. The results obtained have not been previously reported for this type of nonlinearity.Additionally, for the purpose of comparison, the numerical examination has taken into account some scenarios with fixed parameter values.Notably, the numerical derivation of solitons without the assistance of an exact solution is an exceptional take-home lesson fromthis study.Furthermore, the proposed approach is demonstrated to possess optimal computational accuracy in the results presentation, which includes error tables and graphs. It is important tomention that themethodology employed in this study does not involve any form of linearization, discretization,or perturbation.Consequently, the physical nature of the problem to be solved remains unaltered, which is one of the main advantages.

文摘This study investigates the prediction of groundwater Storage in the Rabat-Sale-Kenitra region under climate change conditions using advanced machine learning models.A comprehensive dataset encompassing hydrological, meteorological, and geological factors was meticulously curated and preprocessed for model training.Six regression models Decision Tree,Random Forest,LightGBM,CatBoost,Extreme Learning Machine(ELM),and Artificial Neural Network(ANN)were employed to predict groundwater Storage, with hyperparameters optimized via grid search. The performance of these models was rigorously evaluated using metrics such as Root Mean Squared Error(RMSE),Mean Absolute Error(MAE),and the coefficient of determination(R^(2)).Results demonstrated that the LightGBM model outperformed the others, achieving an impressive testing RMSE of 3.07 and an R^(2)of 0.9997,indicating its robustness in handling large datasets. The Extreme Learning Machine and ANN showed considerable limitations, highlighting the importance of model selection. This research underscores the critical role of advanced machine learning techniques in enhancing groundwater resource management, providing valuable insights for policymakers in developing sustainable strategies to address groundwater challenges in the face of climate variability.
文摘Objective:To estimate the willingness to pay(WTP)of Ho Chi Minh City residents for the hand, foot, and mouth disease(HFMD)vaccine and its associated factors using the contingent valuation method. Methods:This cross-sectional study was conducted in 2024,involved face-to-face interviews with 423 participants in Ho Chi Minh City. The participants were divided into two groups:parents of children under six and individuals without young children.WTP for the HFMD vaccine was assessed using the Krinsky and Robb procedure and the double-bound dichotomous choice technique.A probit regression model was used to analyze factors influencing WTP.Results:The participants had a mean age of(34.0±10.3)years,and the majority of them were female, resided in urban areas, and held a university degree.54.6%had children under six years of age,and 63.8%had never heard of the EV71 vaccine. The mean WTP for two doses of the HFMD vaccine was VND 1240000(USD 51.66).Parents of children under six years old had a mean WTP of USD 49.16,while individuals without young children had a mean WTP of USD 56.25.Significant factors that were positively associated with WTP included vaccine price, younger age, higher income, and greater knowledge about vaccines. Conclusions:The study indicates a relatively high willingness to pay for HFMD vaccination in Ho Chi Minh City, suggesting strong potential for vaccine implementation. It is recommended that the government disseminate vaccine-related information to enhance public awareness and understanding.
文摘Objective:HIV has infected approximately 75 million people worldwide with over half dying from AIDS-related diseases. This study aimed to determine individuals'willingness to pay(WTP)for future HIV vaccines. Methods:A cross sectional study was conducted in December 2022 in Southern Vietnam with 1675 face-to-face interviews.WTP was determined using the contingent valuation method with two bidding games under three vaccine efficacy scenarios(high, medium, low)for both self-vaccination and child vaccination. Results:Among 1655 valid respondents,553 were willing to pay for their children's vaccination.Overall, the WTP of adults for the HIV vaccine was(4961264±3793652)VND(23700 VND=1 US dollar). The WTP of parents is(4947799±4930721)VND for self-vaccination and(4865399±4064567)VND for vaccinating their children.Average WTP decreased with lower vaccine efficacy and lower bid prices.Education level, marital status, occupation, and monthly income were significantly associated with WTP for all vaccination types. Conclusions:In this study, high WTP rates and numerous individuals willing to pay for HIV vaccines were found. These findings can help decision-makers understand factors influencing WTP for future HIV vaccines and provide evidence for developing funding programs and budgeting plans for introducing such vaccines in Vietnam.
文摘This study presents a numerical investigation of shallow water wave dynamics with particular emphasis on the role of surface tension. In the absence of surface tension, shallow water waves are primarily driven by gravity and are well described by the classical Boussinesq equation, which incorporates fourth-order dispersion.Under this framework, solitary and shock waves arise through the balance of nonlinearity and gravity-induced dispersion, producing waveforms whose propagation speed, amplitude, and width depend largely on depth and initial disturbance. The resulting dynamics are comparatively smoother, with solitary waves maintaining coherent structures and shock waves displaying gradual transitions. When surface tension is incorporated, however, the dynamics become significantly richer.Surface tension introduces additional sixth-order dispersive terms into the governing equation, extending the classical model to the sixth-order Boussinesq equation. This higher-order dispersion modifies the balance between nonlinearity and dispersion, leading to sharper solitary wave profiles, altered shock structures, and a stronger sensitivity of wave stability to parametric variations.Surface tension effects also change the scaling laws for wave amplitude and velocity, producing conditions where solitary waves can narrow while maintaining large amplitudes,or where shock fronts steepen more rapidly compared to the tension-free case. These differences highlight how capillary forces, though often neglected in macroscopic wave studies, play a fundamental role in shaping dynamics at smaller scales or in systems with strong fluid–interface interactions. The analysis in this work is carried out using the Laplace-Adomian Decomposition Method(LADM),chosen for its efficiency and accuracy in solving high-order nonlinear partial differential equations. The numerical scheme successfully recovers both solitary and shock wave solutions under the sixth-order model, with error analysis confirming remarkably low numerical deviations. These results underscore the robustness of the method while demonstrating the profound contrast between shallow water wave dynamics without and with surface tension.

文摘The aim of this work was to study the influence of the processing route on the microstructural constituents, hardness andtribological(wear and friction)behavior of Ti6Al4V biomedical alloy. In this sense, three different processing routes were studied:conventional casting, hot pressing and selective laser melting.A comprehensive metallurgical, mechanical and tribologicalcharacterization was performed by X-ray diffraction analysis,Vickers hardness tests and reciprocating ball-on-plate wear tests ofTi6Al4V/Al2O3sliding pairs. The results showed a great influence of the processing route on the microstructural constituents andconsequent differences on hardness and wear performance. The highest hardness and wear resistance were obtained for Ti6Al4Valloy produced by selective laser melting, due to a markedly different cooling rate that leads to significantly different microstructurewhen compared to hot pressing and casting. This study assesses and confirms that selective laser melting is potential to producecustomized Ti6Al4V implants with improved wear performance.

文摘Profile monitoring is used to check the stability of the quality of a product over time when the product quality is best represented by a function at each time point. However, most previous monitoring approaches have not considered that the argument values may vary from profile to profile, which is common in practice.A novel nonparametric control scheme based on profile error is proposed for monitoring nonlinear profiles with varied argument values. The proposed scheme uses the metrics of profile error as the statistics to construct the control charts.More details about the design of this nonparametric scheme are also discussed. The monitoring performance of the combined control scheme is compared with that of alternative nonparametric methods via simulation.Simulation studies show that the combined scheme is effective in detecting parameter error and is sensitive to small shifts in the process. In addition, due to the properties of the charting statistics, the out-of-control signal can provide diagnostic information for the users. Finally, the implementation steps of the proposed monitoring scheme are given and applied for monitoring the blade manufacturing process. With the application in blade manufacturing of aircraft engines, the proposed nonparametric control scheme is effective, interpretable, and easy to apply.

文摘We report on the magnetic, magnetocaloric, thermal, and electrical transport properties of Tb_(4)Coln alloy, which crystallizes in two phases,Tb_6Co_(2.1)In_(0.8)(space group Immm)and Tb_(2)In_(0.9)Co_(0.1)(space group P6_(3)/mmc),respectively.The alloy reveals three successive magnetic transitions around T_(1)(163 K),T_(2)(50 K),and T_(3)(29 K),respectively, associated with paramagnetic to ferromagnetic transition and two sequential antiferromagnetic transitions. The low-temperature transition T_(3) follows the first-order magnetic behavior and exhibits the field-induced magnetic transition.Meanwhile,T_(2) and T_(1) are found to be second-order in nature which opens a possibility for hysteresis-free magnetocaloric application. The magnetocaloric properties are determined using different magnetocaloric figures of merits such as-ΔS_(M),ΔT_(ad).RCP,and TEC(10).Additionally,the universal curve behavior in the isothermal entropy change unveils the variation in critical exponents around T_(1) and T_(2) due to the magnetic inhomogeneity in the alloy.Besides, the electrical transport properties of the metallic alloy denote the maximum magnetoresistance of-10%around T_(1).
文摘Turkey, containing three of the world’s biodiversity hotspots,is a hub for genetic biodiversity. However, the vegetation cover has drastically changed in recent decades as a result of substantial transformations in landuse practices.A map of the potential natural vegetation can be used to represent the biodiversity of a country, and therefore a reference to effectively develop conservation strategies. The multinomial logistic regression is used to simulate the probability of different biomes occurring in the country using elevation, climatological data and natural vegetation data.A correlation test was applied to the climatological data to determine which predictors influence vegetation the most. These were temperature, precipitation, relative humidity and cloudiness. The Ordinary Kriging method was employed to transform the data into the format for the multinomial logistic regression model. The model showed that temperature was the most influencing factor with respect to Turkey’s vegetation and distribution follows a similar distribution as the various macroclimates.Broadleaf forests are mostly found in the Black Sea region, which is also the wettest region of the country. The Marmara region is the only other region where there are broadleaf forests.Mixed forests and shrublands are mostly located in Central Anatolia due to the region’s low humidity which favours herbaceous flora.Coniferous forests were dominant in the Aegean and Mediterranean regions, attributed to high temperatures.

文摘The adequacy of language education largely depends on the favorable and unfavorable emotions that teachers and students experience throughout the education process.Simply said, emotional factors play a key role in improving the quality of language teaching and learning.Furthermore, these emotional factors also promote the well-being of language teachers and learners and place them in a suitable mental condition. In view of the favorable impact of emotional factors on the mental health of language teachers and learners, many educational scholars around the world have studied these factors, their background, and their pedagogical consequences.Nonetheless, the majority of previous studies have employed traditional research methods in assessing these variables and their influences on language teachers’and learners’mental health.Because of the complex and dynamic quality of emotional factors, traditional research approaches often fail to evaluate these factors and their dynamic,non-linear connections with teachers’and learners’mental health and well-being.Accordingly,some novel research approaches are required to measure the dynamicity and complexity of emotional factors in language education settings. To address this call, the current state-of-the-art conceptual article seeks to provide new insights for investigating emotional factors and their potential impact on language teachers’and learners’mental states. This study also intends to offer a comprehensive list of emerging methods that take into account the complex and dynamic nature of emotional variables. Finally, the study outlines the potential implications of this review for educational researchers.

文摘We report the results of magnetic, thermodynamic, transport and magnetocaloric effect (MCE) studies of newly synthesized Gd_(10)Co_(20)Si_(70) alloy. The large MR and reversible MCE make this alloy an attractive multifunctional magnetic material.
