文摘With the recent increase in data volume and diversity, traditional text representation techniques are struggling to capture context, particularly in environments with sparse data.To address these challenges, this study proposes a new model, the Masked Joint Representation Model(MJRM).MJRM approximates the original hypothesis by leveraging multiple elements in a limited context. It dynamically adapts to changes in characteristics based on data distribution through three main components.First,masking-based representation learning, termed selective dynamic masking, integrates topic modeling and sentiment clustering to generate and train multiple instances across different data subsets, whose predictions are then aggregated with optimized weights. This design alleviates sparsity, suppresses noise, and preserves contextual structures.Second,regularization-based improvements are applied.Third, techniques for addressing sparse data are used to perform final inference. As a result,MJRM improves performance by up to 4%compared to existing AI techniques. In our experiments,we analyzed the contribution of each factor, demonstrating that masking, dynamic learning, and aggregating multiple instances complement each other to improve performance. This demonstrates that a masking-based multi-learning strategy is effective for context-aware sparse text classification, and can be useful even in challenging situations such as data shortage or data distribution variations. We expect that the approach can be extended to diverse fields such as sentiment analysis, spam filtering, and domain-specific document classification.
文摘A terrestrial relay-aided reconfigurable intelligent surface(RIS)system with decode,re-encode and forward(DRF)relaying scheme is presented where the RIS effectively contributes to both sourceto-destination and relay-to-destination signaling. While in the conventional decode and forward(DF)relaying scheme, the source signal is merely duplicated in the relay and the time intervals are equally allocated to the source and relay nodes, this paper considers DRF relaying scheme where versatile time-sharing is adopted for the source and relay nodes which can be optimized based on the relative coordinates of the involved nodes. Two protocols namely unidirectional connection(UC)and bidirectional connection(BC)are proposed based on the source awareness from the relay’s successful reception. The outage probability(OP)performance for both protocols and both DF and DRF relaying schemes is analyzed and tight approximations are obtained. The numerical results show the out-performance of the DRF over the DF relaying scheme in the both UC and BC protocols.Equipped with the obtained system OP,the system throughput is defined and the optimum system throughput is obtained by optimizing the system rate and the timesharing between the source and the relay.Analytical results are corroborated in the numerical examples.
文摘Federated Learning(FL)has become a leading decentralized solution that enables multiple clients to train a model in a collaborative environment without directly sharing raw data, making it suitable for privacy-sensitive applications such as healthcare, finance, and smart systems. As the field continues to evolve, the research field has become more complex and scattered, covering different system designs, training methods, and privacy techniques. This survey is organized around the three core challenges:how the data is distributed, how models are synchronized, and how to defend against attacks. It provides a structured and up-to-date review of FL research from 2023 to 2025,offering a unified taxonomy that categorizes works by data distribution(Horizontal FL,Vertical FL,Federated Transfer Learning, and Personalized FL),training synchronization(synchronous and asynchronous FL),optimization strategies, and threat models(data leakage and poisoning attacks). In particular,we summarize the latest contributions in Vertical FL frameworks for secure multi-party learning,communication-efficient Horizontal FL,and domain-adaptive Federated Transfer Learning.Furthermore,we examine synchronization techniques addressing system heterogeneity, including straggler mitigation in synchronous FL and staleness management in asynchronous FL.The survey covers security threats in FL,such as gradient inversion, membership inference, and poisoning attacks,as well as their defense strategies that include privacy-preserving aggregation and anomaly detection. The paper concludes by outlining unresolved issues and highlighting challenges in handling personalized models, scalability, and real-world adoption.

文摘Domain adaptation aims to reduce the distribution gap between the training data(source domain)and the target data. This enables effective predictions even for domains not seen during training. However, most conventional domain adaptation methods assume a single source domain, making them less suitable for modern deep learning settings that rely on diverse and large-scale datasets. To address this limitation, recent research has focused on Multi-Source Domain Adaptation(MSDA),which aims to learn effectively from multiple source domains. In this paper,we propose Efficient Domain Transition for Multi-source(EDTM),a novel and efficient framework designed to tackle two major challenges in existing MSDA approaches:(1)integrating knowledge across different source domains and(2)aligning label distributions between source and target domains.EDTM leverages an ensemble-based classifier expert mechanism to enhance the contribution of source domains that are more similar to the target domain. To further stabilize the learning process and improve performance,we incorporate imitation learning into the training of the target model. In addition,Maximum Classifier Discrepancy(MCD)is employed to align class-wise label distributions between the source and target domains.Experiments were conducted using Digits-Five,one of the most representative benchmark datasets for MSDA.The results show that EDTM consistently outperforms existing methods in terms of average classification accuracy.Notably,EDTM achieved significantly higher performance on target domains such as Modified National Institute of Standards and Technolog with blended background images(MNIST-M)and Street View House Numbers(SVHN)datasets, demonstrating enhanced generalization compared to baseline approaches.Furthermore,an ablation study analyzing the contribution of each loss component validated the effectiveness of the framework, highlighting the importance of each module in achieving optimal performance.

文摘Heart disease remains a leading cause of mortality worldwide, emphasizing the urgent need for reliable and interpretable predictive models to support early diagnosis and timely intervention. However, existing Deep Learning(DL)approaches often face several limitations, including inefficient feature extraction, class imbalance, suboptimal classification performance, and limited interpretability, which collectively hinder their deployment in clinical settings. To address these challenges,we propose a novel DL framework for heart disease prediction that integrates a comprehensive preprocessing pipeline with an advanced classification architecture. The preprocessing stage involves label encoding and feature scaling. To address the issue of class imbalance inherent in the personal key indicators of the heart disease dataset, the localized random affine shadowsampling technique is employed, which enhances minority class representation while minimizing overfitting. At the core of the framework lies the Deep Residual Network(DeepResNet),which employs hierarchical residual transformations to facilitate efficient feature extraction and capture complex,non-linear relationships in the data.Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed model significantly outperforms existing techniques, achieving improvements of 3.26%in accuracy,3.16%in area under the receiver operating characteristics,1.09%in recall, and 1.07%in F1-score.Furthermore,robustness is validated using 10-fold crossvalidation, confirming the model’s generalizability across diverse data distributions. Moreover, model interpretability is ensured through the integration of Shapley additive explanations and local interpretable model-agnostic explanations, offering valuable insights into the contribution of individual features to model predictions.Overall, the proposed DL framework presents a robust, interpretable, and clinically applicable solution for heart disease prediction.

文摘Due to the insufficient information regarding the aging phenomenon of cables caused by switching impulses, we aged 15 kV XLPE and EPR cable samples by 10 000 switching impulses in experiments and tested them. Plus in order to compare the aging phenome- non under multi-stress conditions, additional EPR cable samples were aged by rated AC voltage and current with switching impulses superimposed. We used measurements of partial discharge parameters to monitor the cables’ conditions during their aging process, and the AC breakdown voltages measurement to evaluate the cables after aging. Moreover, the Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy measurements revealed the changes of insulation materials after aging. The measurement results confirm that the accelerated aging of cable samples had taken place. The impacts of each individual aging factor are shown through the selected measurements and comparison. The study also helps to assess the reliability of the XLPE and EPR cables under similar condition while serving in power systems.
