Method: This study is exploratory and descriptive qualitative research. Were performed semi-structured interviews were carried out with the worker’s health team of a large company from the South of Brazil region. The collected data were carried out in 2021, between January and May, through the virtual environment, with eight participants from the Work Health Team of Eletrosul, located in Florianópolis, who agreed to participate in the research by signing the Free and Informed Consent Term, in accordance with the data saturation criterion. The research was approved by the Ethics Committee (n. 4079133) and the data were submitted to Bardin for thematic content analysis. Result: The results are presented from three categories: 1) Expansion and inclusion in Permanent Education needs;2) Tools adopted in educational processes;3) Just in Time Education: educational technology for workers’ health. Conclusion: The active methodology Just in Time Education helps the processes of Permanent Education in Health, which moved from a face-to-face model to e-learning and required the knowledge renewal in the technology area to maintain efficient communication. This methodology allows quick and accurate access to information from a reliable, adequate, and up-to-date source, causing a positive impact on the qualified and problem-solving work process, in line with the needs of the employer and the company. Therefore, Just in Time Education can provide standardization, organization, and informational and operational quality necessary in this context, in addition to serving as an indicator and data generator (management tool).展开更多

In the era of scarce educational resources, teachers are the owners of knowledge. However, when the emergence of the Internet puts a huge amount of knowledge in front of people, what is scarce in education is no longer the amount of knowledge, but the selection, carding, promotion and internalization of knowledge. The traditional teaching method is transforming into learner centered individualized teaching and learning. In the process of teaching and learning, the proportion and focus of knowledge transfer and knowledge internalization have also changed. Under the new environment, teachers need to change the habits of teaching and learning for thousands of years, and carry out teaching in innovative mode through new technical means, so as to achieve higher results. However, in the new technology environment, if there is no complete teaching logic and the organic connection and cooperation between man and machine, classroom teaching will not present an orderly and efficient situation. If there is no good teaching design and the new educational technology is used freely, the teaching effect may not be as good as the traditional blackboard teaching mode.展开更多

This paper details the design of a hierarchical AIoT architecture that leverages edge computing for real-time decision-making and cloud analytics for long-term optimization, achieving a higher system availability while reducing data transmission costs. The proposed system addresses critical challenges in traditional campus management such as energy inefficiency, reactive maintenance, and resource underutilization through intelligent applications like predictive resource allocation and environmental control. Furthermore, the design incorporates a robust, AI-driven cybersecurity framework and intelligent data processing paradigms, such as federated learning, which enhance maintenance efficiency and reduce false alarms. The transition to an AIoT-enabled campus is not merely a technological upgrade but a strategic shift towards a predictive, efficient, and sustainable operational model, fundamentally enhancing the management of university infrastructures.展开更多

The primary function of macrophages is to phagocytize and clear invading pathogens.DATA SOURCES: A systematic search of PubMed was performed to identify relevant studies in English language literature using the key words such as macrophage and inflammation. A total of 122 articles related to inflammatory response of macrophages in infection were systematically reviewed.RESULTS: The inflammatory responses of macrophages triggered by infection comprise four interrelated phases:recognition of pathogen-associated molecular patterns by pattern-recognition receptors expressed on/in macrophages;enrichment of quantity of macrophages in local infected tissue by recruitment of circulating monocytes and/or in situ proliferation; macrophage-mediation of microbicidal activity and conversion to anti-inflammatory phenotype to terminate anti-infectious response and to promote tissue repair.Complicated regulation of macrophage activation at molecular level recognized in the past decade is also reviewed, including intracellular multiple signaling molecules, membrane molecules, microRNAs and even epigenetic-associated molecules.CONCLUSION: The inflammatory response of macrophages in infection is an orderly and complicated process under elaborate regulation at molecular level.展开更多
