Based on the urban planning and design concept of “small block, dense road network”, the paper analyzes the cases of low-carbon transportation-oriented road network planning and construction in the Netherlands,and summarizes the design concept and implementation method of road network planning of public transportation and slow traffic friendly blocks. The successful experiences of low-carbon transportationoriented city construction in the Netherlands are summarized, in order to provide the reference for lowcarbon urban development in China. 展开更多

Buckling failure in submarine cables presents a prevalent challenge in ocean engineering.This work aims to explore the buckling behavior of umbilical cables with damaged sheaths subjected to compression and bending cyclic loads.A finite element model is devised,incorporating a singular armor wire,a rigid core,and a damaged sheath.To scrutinize the buckling progression and corresponding deformation,axial compression and bending cyclic loads are introduced.The observations reveal that a reduction in axial compression results in a larger number of cycles before buckling ensues and progressively shifts the buckling position toward the extrados and fixed end.Decreasing the bending radius precipitates a reduction in the buckling cycle number and minimizes the deformation in the armor wire.Furthermore,an empirical model is presented to predict the occurrence of birdcage buckling,providing a means to anticipate buckling events and to estimate the requisite number of cycles leading to buckling. 展开更多

With the raising complexity of modern civil aircraft,both academy and industry have shown strong interests on MBSE(Model-Based System Engineering).However,following the application of MBSE,the duration of the design phase exceeded expectations.This paper conducted a survey to the relevant participants involved in the design,revealed that a lack of proper process management is a critical issue.The current MBSE methodology does not provide clear guidelines for monitoring,controlling,and managing processes,which are crucial for both efficiency and effectiveness.To address this,the present paper introduced an improved Process Model(PM)within the MBSE framework for civil aircraft design.This improved model incorporates three new Management Blocks(MB):Progress Management Block(PMB),Review Management Block(RMB),and Configuration Management Block(CMB),developed based on the Capability Maturity Model Integration(CMMI).These additions aim to streamline the design process and better align it with engineering practices.The upgraded MBSE method with the improved PM offers a more structured approach to manage complex aircraft design projects,and a case study is conducted to validate its potential to reduce timelines and enhance overall project outcomes. 展开更多

Traditional dynamic analysis of mechanical structures,often limited to individual beams or plates,fails to fully capture their dynamic behaviors.In systems where space and mass are constrained,such as the battery support structures in electric aircraft,conventional absorbers and isolators are insufficient for effective vibration control.This study simplifies the battery support structure of electric aircraft as an integrated composite beam consisting of three interconnected beams,and investigated its structural dynamics properties and nonlinear vibration control under thermal conditions caused by battery heat.The nonlinear vibration control is performed using the Nitinol steel wire ropes(Ni Ti-ST),with nonlinear damping properties.The natural frequencies of system are determined using the Rayleigh-Ritz technique.Theoretical results are validated through both Finite Element Method(FEM)and hammer tests.Moreover,the dynamic equations are derived using the Lagrange method and discretized via the Galerkin Truncation Method(GTM).The Harmonic Balance Method(HBM)is used to evaluate the vibration responses of the integrated model,with further verification through the Runge-Kutta Method(RKM).The experiments are conducted to corroborate the theoretical analysis.The results show that the system frequency changes in stages with the increase of the stiffness of the integrated composite beam connection.Especially in the case of varying environments,as the temperature increases,the frequency of system will first increase to a certain maximum value and then gradually decrease.Furthermore,the NiTi-ST effectively reduces vibration in the integrated composite beam,particularly under varying temperatures and external excitations. 展开更多

This study investigates the vertical variations of aerosol size distribution (0.06–1µm) and cloud condensation nuclei(CCN) spectra over the Southern Ocean (SO) using aircraft observations from the SOCRATES campaign.Results reveal a bimodal aerosol size distribution within the marine boundary layer (MBL),with peaks at diameters of~0.06µm and~0.65µm,dominated by sea-salt particles.Accumulation-mode aerosol concentrations decrease with altitude within the MBL,while Aitken-mode aerosol concentrations peak above the MBL (~2–3 km).Wind speed strongly correlates with coarse-mode aerosol concentration (R2=0.77),implicating sea spray as a major CCN source at low supersaturations (SS=0.1%).The altitudes of CCN concentration peaks shift from the MBL (<1 km,SS<0.4%) to the free troposphere (~2.5 km,SS>0.4%),suggesting new particle formation aloft,distinct from sea surface sources.These findings highlight the unique aerosol–CCN dynamics in the pristine SO,offering critical constraints for models simulating cloud–aerosol interactions in preindustrial-like environments. 展开更多

Enzyme-Induced Carbonate Precipitation(EICP)is an innovative technique to improve soil strength and reduce permeability.However,the use of EICP for reinforcing underwater sand beds remains largely unexplored.To advance EICP implementation in various geotechnical applications,this paper develops a model box system to investigate the effectiveness of the EICP technique in reinforcing underwater sand beds.An"injection-extraction"system is designed to facilitate the flow of the EICP solution through underwater sand layers.Key parameters,including conductivity,pH,and Ca^(2+)concentration of the solution,are measured and analyzed.Electrical resistivity tomography(ERT)is utilized to evaluate the reinforcement effect in the underwater sand bed.The permeability of the model is tested to verify the feasibility of EICP technology for strengthening underwater sands.Furthermore,scanning electron microscope(SEM)is performed to investigate the growth mechanisms of calcium carbonate(CaCO_(3))crystals.The results show that the permeability of the model decreases from 1.28×10^(-2)m/s to 9.66×10^(-5)m/s,representing a reduction of approximately three orders of magnitude.This verifies that the EICP technology can greatly reduce the permeability of underwater sand beds.With increasing grouting cycles,the resistivity of the underwater sand initially decreases and then increases.This variation in sand resistivity is significantly influenced by the ion concentration in the solution,resulting in marked differences in resistivity at various depths and positions within the sand.The findings from this study offer a theoretical basis for the application of EICP technology in reinforcing seabed foundations and supporting marine infrastructure such as offshore pipelines,wind turbines,and oil platforms. 展开更多

In this study,chitosan(CS)was combined with microcrystalline cellulose(MCC)to fabricate composite hydrogel beads.These beads were further modified through blending and grafting with polyethyleneimine(PEI)to develop chitosan/microcrystalline cellulose@polyethyleneimine(CS/MCC@PEI)composite gel spheres for the efficient adsorption of diclofenac sodium(DS)from aqueous solutions.The adsorbent was characterized using scanning electron microscopy(SEM),X-ray diffraction(XRD),Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),X-ray pho-toelectron spectroscopy(XPS),and thermogravimetric analysis(TGA).The CS/MCC@PEI composite exhibited a spherical morphology with a porous structure,abundant surface functional groups,and a high adsorption capac-ity of 274.84 mg/g for DS.Kinetic studies revealed that the adsorption process followed the pseudo-second-order model,dominated by physical adsorption,with both surface and internal diffusion influencing the adsorption rate.The Freundlich isotherm model best described the adsorption behavior,indicating multilayer adsorption on heterogeneous surfaces.Environmental adaptability tests demonstrated minimal interference from co-existing anions and humic acid,while regeneration experiments confirmed excellent reusability(>77%removal after five cycles).The adsorption mechanism involved electrostatic interactions and hydrogen bonding between the hydroxyl/amino groups of the composite and DS.These findings highlight the potential of CS/MCC@PEI as a cost-effective and sustainable adsorbent for DS removal from water. 展开更多

To explore the adaptive mechanisms of the partial nitritation-anammox(PNA)process under high salinity stress during kitchen wastewater treatment,focusing on their physiological and molecular responses through metagenomic analysis.An airlift inner-circulation partition bioreactor(AIPBR)was developed,featuring an inner cylinder and a flow guide tube to create distinct oxygen gradients,facilitating the study of microbial adaptation under varying salt conditions.The AIPBR was operated with synthetic wastewater containing ammonium concentrations of 1800±100 mg/L and salinity gradients ranging from 1 to 10 g/L,followed by a fixed salinity period at 6 g/L,with ammonium concentrations approximately 850 mg/L.High-throughput metagenomic analysis revealed shifts in functional genes and metabolic pathways in response to salinity stress.Anammox bacteria adapted by enriching genes involved in the synthesis of osmoprotective compounds and activating energy-producing pathways like the tricarboxylic acid cycle(TCA).These adaptations,along with modifications in membrane composition,were essential for sustaining system stability under elevated salinity.Under prolonged high salinity stress,anaerobic ammonium oxidizing(AnAOB)exhibited improved salt tolerance,maintaining a total nitrogen removal efficiency above 85%and stabilizing after an adaptation phase.The metagenomic data revealed a marked enrichment of genes associated with ion transport,stress response mechanisms,and DNA repair pathways.Changes in microbial community composition favored salt-tolerant species,supporting system stability.These findings highlight the applicability of the developed bioreactor for scaling up the PNA process to handle high-salinity wastewater,providing a promising avenue for sustainable nitrogen removal in challenging environments. 展开更多

A morphing aircraft can adapt its configuration to suit different types of tasks,which is also an important requirement of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles(UAV).The successful development of an unmanned morphing aircraft involves three steps that determine its ability and intelligent:configuration design,dynamic modeling and flight control.This study conducts a comprehensive survey of morphing aircraft.First,the methods to design the configuration of a morphing aircraft are presented and analyzed.Then,the nonlinear dynamic characteristics and aerodynamic interference caused by a morphing wing are described.Subsequently,the dynamic modeling and flight control methods for solving the flight control problems are summarized with respect to these features.Finally,the general as well as special challenges ahead of the development of intelligent morphing aircraft are discussed.The findings can provide a theoretical and technical reference for designing future morphing aircraft or morphing-wing UAVs. 展开更多

The composite leaf spring landing gear of an electric aircraft is optimized.With the strength and workability as constraints and the minimum structural weight as an objective,the two-stage optimization of the leaf spring landing gear with glass fiber unidirectional prepreg is carried out using a genetic algorithm,namely,the optimization of continuous thickness of layup,and the optimization of the layup sequence and discrete thickness.In the optimization process,the ground loads are calculated according to the structural stiffness of each chromosome,thus the stiffness constraints are relaxed,and the optimization results are compared with those using stiffness constraints.The static experiment verification reveals that the numerical simulation and experimental results are consistent,that is,the optimized leaf spring meets the strength requirements.The results show that the leaf spring landing gear based on two-stage optimization method achieves the objective of weight reduction. 展开更多

[Objective]The aim was to study the hydraulic block scenarios in the water source land conservation zone in Jinshu Bay so as to ensure the water quality in the water sources in Jinshu Bay.[Method]By dint of one dimension water amount and water quality mode in the river net in Taihu,the water flow movement characteristics and pollutants transportation rules in the water sources areas in Jinshu Bay under five kinds of hydraulic block scenarios were compared and discussed.[Result]After demolishing the temporary soil dam in the water source conservation zone in Jinshu Bay,water amount and pollutants increased and water quality deteriorated.It was necessary to take certain hydraulic power to block and control the pollutants in the preservation area;after demolishing the dam,there was less water amount and pollutants.The water quality improved significantly.The hydraulic block facility in the preservation area and its surroundings were all releasing and not introducing;the one along the mouth of the river of Mentianji Gang,Jinshugang and Longtanggang were introducing and not releasing,which only restricted poor-quality water in Beijing-Hangzhou Canal and Huguang Canal flowing into the conservation zone.The water into the conservation zone was all from Gonghu.The water mobility within the conservation zone was good.The regional water quality improved to the largest scale.[Conclusion]Judging from the water flow movement characteristics and pollutants transportation rules in Jinshu Bay,the fifth proposal was more appropriate. 展开更多

Stealth security has always been considered as an important guarantee for the vitality and combat effectiveness of submarines.In accordance with the stealth requirements of submarines performing stealth voyage tasks,this paper proposes a stealth assistant decision system.Firstly,the submarine stealth posture is acquired.A fuzzy neural network inference engine based on improved simplified particle swarm optimization is designed.The auxiliary decision-making scheme for state control and maneuver avoidance of submarine and its equipment is automatically generated.Secondly,the simulation and deduction of the assistant decision-making scheme are realized by the calculation modules of sound source level,propagation loss,and stealth situation.The assistant decision-making scheme and simulation result provide decision support for the commander.Thirdly,the simulation experiment platform of the submarine stealth assistant decision system is constructed.The submarine stealth assistant decision system described in this paper can quickly and efficiently produce assistant decision-making schemes,including submarine and equipment control and maneuver avoidance.The scheme is in line with the combat experience and the results of the pre-model simulation experiments,whereas the simulation deduction evaluates the rationality and effectiveness of the selected scheme.The submarine stealth assistant decision system can adapt to a complex battlefield environment in addition to rapidly and accurately providing assistance in decision-making. 展开更多

Seismic effectiveness evaluation and optimized design of tie up method for securing museum collections

To quantify the seismic effectiveness of the most commonly used fishing line tie up method for securing museum collections and optimize fixed strategies for exhibitions,shaking table tests of the seismic systems used for typical museum collection replicas have been carried out.The influence of body shape and fixed measure parameters on the seismic responses of replicas and the interaction behavior between replicas and fixed measures have been explored.Based on the results,seismic effectiveness evaluation indexes of the tie up method are proposed.Reasonable suggestions for fixed strategies are given,which provide a basis for the exhibition of delicate museum collections considering the principle of minimizing seismic responses and intervention.The analysis results show that a larger ratio of height of mass center to bottom diameter led to more intense rocking responses.Increasing the initial pretension of fishing lines was conducive to reducing the seismic responses and stress variation of the lines.Through comprehensive consideration of the interaction forces and effective securement,it is recommended to apply 20%of breaking stress as the initial pretension.For specific museum collections that cannot be effectively protected by the independent tie up method,an optimized strategy of a combination of fishing lines and fasteners is recommended. 展开更多

It presents a calculation method of analytic solution to both viscoelastic dynamic equation and geometric dynamic equation when automatic take-up assembly is applied to belt conveyor. The current method of evaluating passenger satisfaction primarily adopts the traditional static evaluation mode,which can hardly satisfy the dynamic regulatory requirements of highway passenger transport service quality set by industry management departments.In this paper,we summarize the characteristics of real-time dynamic evaluation under the requirements of hierarchical and classified evaluation and analyze the entire process of the one-time travel service of highway passenger transport.We focus on station waiting and in-vehicle services,extract the elements most concerned by passengers as evaluation indexes,and construct a three-level index system.Subsequently,a multi-indicator comprehensive evaluation method based on the analytic hierarchy process and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation is selected to construct a comprehensive evaluation model.By combining with the development level of electronic ticket purchasing and the requirements of satisfaction evaluation,we propose three data collection methods and compare and analyze their strengths and weaknesses.Finally,based on actual survey data,the effectiveness of the model is verified.The verification results show that the real-time dynamic evaluation index system based on the Internet can better satisfy evaluation requirements. 展开更多
