经过15年时间我们发展出一套技术,即利用钻孔井壁的非致命性破裂,包括压性破裂、钻探诱发的张性破裂以及与切穿井孔断层的滑动有关的应力扰动观测值,来确定任意向井和钻孔中的全应力张量。这些技术已延伸应用到石油工业中,也应用到矿山... 经过15年时间我们发展出一套技术,即利用钻孔井壁的非致命性破裂,包括压性破裂、钻探诱发的张性破裂以及与切穿井孔断层的滑动有关的应力扰动观测值,来确定任意向井和钻孔中的全应力张量。这些技术已延伸应用到石油工业中,也应用到矿山开采的钻孔岩芯取样中,以取得开采区周围应力集中影响的区域内外的应力状态。条件允许时,可用水压致裂法估计最小主应力值,但不能估计最大水平主应力值。作者在文中先回顾了这套方法的概念,然后对两个复杂实例进行了研究。第1个实例涉及到圣安德烈斯断层深部观测站(San Andreas Fault Observatory at Depth,SAFOD)计划第1阶段钻探应力状态的确定,SAFOD计划是一个钻穿加州中部圣安德烈斯断层的科学钻井计划。第2个实例涉及到确定南非一个极深矿周围的地壳应力状态。这些研究表明,在相当大的深度范围内,斜井钻孔破裂观测值与应力大小和方向是一致的。 展开更多

Study on Recovering the Earth's Potential Field Based on GOCE Gradiometry

Given the second radial derivative Vrr(P) |δs of the Earth's gravitational potential V(P) on the surface δS corresponding to the satellite altitude, by using the fictitious compress recovery method, a fictitious regular harmonic field rrVrr(P)^* and a fictitious second radial gradient field V:(P) in the domain outside an inner sphere Ki can be determined, which coincides with the real field V(P) in the domain outside the Earth. Vrr^*(P)could be further expressed as a uniformly convergent expansion series in the domain outside the inner sphere, because rrV(P)^* could be expressed as a uniformly convergent spherical harmonic expansion series due to its regularity and harmony in that domain. In another aspect, the fictitious field V^*(P) defined in the domain outside the inner sphere, which coincides with the real field V(P) in the domain outside the Earth, could be also expressed as a spherical harmonic expansion series. Then, the harmonic coefficients contained in the series expressing V^*(P) can be determined, and consequently the real field V(P) is recovered. Preliminary simulation calculations show that the second radial gradient field Vrr(P) could be recovered based only on the second radial derivative V(P)|δs given on the satellite boundary. Concerning the final recovery of the potential field V(P) based only on the boundary value Vrr (P)|δs, the simulation tests are still in process. 展开更多

Direct regional quasi-geoid determination using EGM2008 and DEM:A case study for China's Mainland and its vicinity areas

Earth's gravity model(EGM) helps people better determine the figure of Earth, which is generally represented by a global geoid. For a considerable amount of practical applications, people use quasi-geoid to approximate the geoid, thus the quasi-geoid is also treated as an important height datum. In this study we revisit the method to directly determine regional quasi-geoid using EGM and digital elevation model(DEM), on the basis of Molodensky theory. According to the method we obtain a 50 50quasi-geoid for China's Mainland and its vicinity areas, based on the EGM2008 gravitational potential model and the Shuttle Radar Topography Mission(SRTM) DEM model. By comparing height anomalies derived from EGM2008 with observations at 70 GPS/leveling points in areas including northwest,mid-west, mid-east and southeast of China, we find that the 50 50EGM2008 quasi-geoid well fits the GPS/leveling results, with average deviations less than 10 cm for the selected areas in east China(with mainly plain topography) and ~20 cm for the selected areas in west China(highland or mountainous areas). We also discuss a few technical issues for directly determining height anomalies based on EGM and DEM, under the frame of Molodensky theory. 展开更多

In this paper, the change of the Rossby parameter β with latitude is considered and the parameter γ≡-dβ/dy=2Ωsinφ/a2 is introduced and the β-plane approximation is extended into f=f0+β0y-γ0y2/2 which includes the parameter γ . Such approximation closes further to practice especially in the high latitude regions. We give emphasis to the research of the effect of the parameter γ on the Rossby waves. It is seen that the effect of the parameter γ is remarkable in the high latitude regions. It can produce the Rossby waves caused by the pure parameter γ. And the phase speed formula of Rossby waves with the change of β is generally given, which is degenerated into the well-known Rossby formula when γ0=0. The researches also point out that when the change of β is regarded, even if the basic current u¯ is a linear function of y the unstable modes can also take place. However, the parameter γ usually plays a stable part in the Rossby waves and it does affect the longitudinal scale and the structure of constant phase lines (trough-ridge lines) of Rossby waves and slow down the growing or decaying of Rossby waves. 展开更多
