The blank shapes of three typical stampings are simulated and compared with numerical results given by the AUTOFORM software and experimental results, respectively. The comparison shows that the FASTAMP can predict blank shape and strain distribution of the stamping more precisely and quickly than those given by the traditional methods and the AUTOFORM.展开更多

At the same time the springback values of the drawing of patterns' unloading and trimming about the satellite aerial reflecting surface are predicted and also compared with those of the practical punch. Above two springbacks all obtain satisfactory results, which provide a kind of effective quantitative pre-prediction of springback for the practical engineers.展开更多

Arobust stability condition for the considered system is derived, and the obtained stability boundsare not necessarily symmetric with respect to the origin in the parameter space. The lateralstability analysis for a railway bogie model is analyzed by using the proposed approach. Thesymmetric and asymmetric results are both given and the influence of the adjustable parameter betaon the stability bounds is also discussed. With the help of the proposed method, the robuststability analysis can provide a reference for the design of the railway vehicle systems.展开更多

In the present study, a Taylor-like polycrystal model suggested by Asaro and Needleman is applied to investigate the evolution of the anisotropic behavior of a face centered cubic (FCC) polycrystalline metal, which is considered having {111} 110 slip systems, by stretching it along an arbitrary direction after it has undergone a plane-strain compression that rationally simulates the cold rolling process of FCC polycrystalline pure aluminium. By using the Taylor-like polycrystal model, pole fgures are obtained to describe the texture development of polycrystalline aggregate after plane-strain compression, and then the plastic anisotropy of polycrystalline aggregate is evaluated by stretch- ing the polycrystalline aggregate in different direction in term of yield stress. According to the results, the contours of longitudinal fow stress in three-dimensional orientation space are given and analyzed. Experiment results similar to the prediction of planar anisotropy can be found in the literature written by Takahashi et al. that indirectly show the correctness of the prediction of non-planar plastic anisotropy by this analysis.展开更多

In this paper the interaction between two spheres with an interstitial Power-law fluid was approximately resolved as normal and tangential interactive models respe ctively, for which the governing equations were simplified on the basis of Reynolds approximation. These equations were then solved analytically together with the boundary conditions to obtain the pressure distributions for each individual model, and event u-ally solutions of the viscous squeeze force and the tangential viscous resistance were obtained, which provide a set of solutions for implementing into DEM code or other purposes.展开更多
