It is shown that homogeneous activation mechanism could explain this absorption process. The absorption rate coefficients of carbon dioxide into MDEA aqueous solution blended with DEA, PZ or DEA+PZ were compared with each other. The results demonstrated that the different activation effect of DEA, PZ and DEA+PZ on the carbon dioxide absorption comes from the difference in CO2 combination rate, transport of PZ and DEA to MDEA and the regeneration rate of PZ and DEA.展开更多

In this article, Loss-of-Coolant Ac- cident (LOCA), Steam Generator Tube Rupture (SGTR), Station Blackout (SBO), and Anticipated Transients without Scram (ATWS) in PWR with 300 MWe are selected as the main severe accident sequences. The core damage pro- gressions induced by the above-mentioned sequences are analyzed using SCDAP/RELAP5. To arrest the core damage progression and mitigate the consequences of severe accidents, the measures for the severe accident management (SAM) such as feed and bleed, and depressurizations are verified using the calculation. The results suggest that im- plementing feed and bleed and depressurization could be an effective way to arrest the severe accident sequences in PWR.展开更多

Transcendental equations of non-dimensional loop mass flow rate under various conditions were also derived. The static bifurcation diagram of a two-phase natural circulation described with non-dimensional vari-ables Npch-m + was obtained. In addition, various steady-state characteristics of a natural circulation loop were ana-lyzed and discussed. These characteristics include the existence of multiple solutions under certain conditions, and the maximum mass flow rate. The authors also examined the effects of important parameters such as sub-cooling number, riser-to-heated-region length ratio, and riser-to-heated-region diameter ratio.展开更多

Based on the continuity, momentum and energy equations of the vapor film, a transient two-dimensional single particle model has been established. This paper contains a detailed description of HPMC (High-temperature Particle Moving in Coolant) model for studying some aspects of the premixing stage of fuel-coolant interactions (FCIs). The transient process of high-temperature particles moving in coolant can be simu-lated. Comparisons between the experiment results and the calculations using HPMC model demonstrate that HPMC model achieves a good agreement in predicting the time-varying characteristic of high-temperature spheres moving in coolant.展开更多
