Since then, this payment system has been widely applied by other developed countries, such as Australia, Germany, France, Finland, and Japan, in the form of a well-functioning DRG-based prospective payment system （PPS）. Beijing＇s Basic Medical Insurance （BBMI） scheme was launched in 2001, and its main task has been gradually covered all residents recorded on household register, including urban employees, rural residents, the elderly, children, and the unemployed.展开更多
