A Holistic Anti-Counterfeiting Platform Using NFC and Blockchain Technologies

Counterfeiting is still a pervasive global issue,affecting multiple industries and hindering industrial innovation,while causing substantial financial losses,reputational damage,and risks to consumer safety.From luxury goods and pharmaceuticals to electronics and automotive parts,counterfeit products infiltrate supply chains,leading to a loss of revenue for legitimate businesses and undermining consumer trust.Traditional anti-counterfeiting measures,such as holograms,serial numbers,and barcodes,have proven to be insufficient as counterfeiters continuously develop more sophisticated replication techniques.As a result,there is a growing need for more advanced,secure,and reliable methods to prevent counterfeiting.This paper presents a novel,holistic anti-counterfeiting platform that integrates Near Field Communication(NFC)-enabled mobile applications with blockchain technology to provide an innovative,secure,and consumer-friendly authentication mechanism.Our approach addresses key gaps in existing solutions by incorporating dynamic product identifiers,which make replication significantly more difficult.The system enables consumers to verify the authenticity of products instantly using their smartphones,enhancing transparency and trust in the supply chain.Blockchain technology plays a crucial role in our proposed solution by providing an immutable,decentralized ledger that records product authentication data.This ensures that product verification records cannot be tampered with or altered,adding a layer of security that is absent in conventional systems.Additionally,NFC technology enhances security by offering unique identification capabilities,enabling real-time product verification.To validate the effectiveness of the proposed system,real-world testing was conducted across different industries.The results demonstrated the platform’s ability to significantly reduce counterfeit products in the supply chain,offering businesses and consumers a more robust and reliable authentication method.By leveraging the combined strengths of blockchain and NFC,this solution represents a significant advancement in the fight against counterfeiting,ensuring enhanced security,transparency,and consumer trust. 展开更多

Mission critical Machine-type Communication(mcMTC),also referred to as Ultra-reliable Low Latency Communication(URLLC),has become a research hotspot.It is primarily characterized by communication that provides ultra-high reliability and very low latency to concurrently transmit short commands to a massive number of connected devices.While the reduction in physical(PHY)layer overhead and improvement in channel coding techniques are pivotal in reducing latency and improving reliability,the current wireless standards dedicated to support mcMTC rely heavily on adopting the bottom layers of general-purpose wireless standards and customizing only the upper layers.The mcMTC has a significant technical impact on the design of all layers of the communication protocol stack.In this paper,an innovative bottom-up approach has been proposed for mcMTC applications through PHY layer targeted at improving the transmission reliability by implementing ultra-reliable channel coding scheme in the PHY layer of IEEE 802.11a standard bearing in mind short packet transmission system.To achieve this aim,we analyzed and compared the channel coding performance of convolutional codes(CCs),low-density parity-check(LDPC)codes,and polar codes in wireless network on the condition of short data packet transmission.The Viterbi decoding algorithm(VA),logarithmic belief propagation(Log-BP)algorithm,and cyclic redundancy check(CRC)successive cancellation list(SCL)(CRC-SCL)decoding algorithm were adopted to CC,LDPC codes,and polar codes,respectively.Consequently,a new PHY layer for mcMTC has been proposed.The reliability of the proposed approach has been validated by simulation in terms of Bit error rate(BER)and packet error rate(PER)vs.signal-to-noise ratio(SNR).The simulation results demonstrate that the reliability of IEEE 802.11a standard has been significantly improved to be at PER=10−5 or even better with the implementation of polar codes.The results also show that the general-purpose wireless networks are prominent inproviding short packet mcMTC with the modification needed. 展开更多

A smart contract is a digital program of transaction protocol(rules of contract)based on the consensus architecture of blockchain.Smart contracts with Blockchain are modern technologies that have gained enormous attention in scientific and practical applications.A smart contract is the central aspect of a blockchain that facilitates blockchain as a platformoutside the cryptocurrency spectrum.The development of blockchain technology,with a focus on smart contracts,has advanced significantly in recent years.However,research on the smart contract idea has weaknesses in the implementation sectors based on a decentralized network that shares an identical state.This paper extensively reviews smart contracts based on multi-criteria analysis,challenges and motivations.Therefore,implementing blockchain in multicriteria research is required to increase the efficiency of interaction between users via supporting information exchange with high trust.Implementing blockchain in the multi-criteria analysis is necessary to increase the efficiency of interaction between users via supporting information exchange and with high confidence,detecting malfunctioning,helping users with performance issues,reaching a consensus,deploying distributed solutions and allocating plans,tasks and joint missions.The smart contract with decision-making performance,planning and execution improves the implementation based on efficiency,sustainability and management.Furthermore,the uncertainty and supply chain performance lead to improved users’confidence in offering new solutions in exchange for problems in smart contacts.Evaluation includes code analysis and performance,while development performance can be under development. 展开更多

A Mathematical Model for COVID-19 Image Enhancement based on Mittag-Leffler-Chebyshev Shift

The lungs CT scan is used to visualize the spread of the disease across the lungs to obtain better knowledge of the state of the COVID-19 infection.Accurately diagnosing of COVID-19 disease is a complex challenge that medical system face during the pandemic time.To address this problem,this paper proposes a COVID-19 image enhancement based on Mittag-Leffler-Chebyshev polynomial as pre-processing step for COVID-19 detection and segmentation.The proposed approach comprises the MittagLeffler sum convoluted with Chebyshev polynomial.The idea for using the proposed image enhancement model is that it improves images with low graylevel changes by estimating the probability of each pixel.The proposed image enhancement technique is tested on a variety of lungs computed tomography(CT)scan dataset of varying quality to demonstrate that it is robust and can resist significant quality fluctuations.The blind/referenceless image spatial quality evaluator(BRISQUE),and the natural image quality evaluator(NIQE)measures for CT scans were 38.78,and 7.43 respectively.According to the findings,the proposed image enhancement model produces the best image quality ratings.Overall,this model considerably enhances the details of the given datasets,and it may be able to assist medical professionals in the diagnosing process. 展开更多
