Urdu,a prominent subcontinental language,serves as a versatile means of communication.However,its handwritten expressions present challenges for optical character recognition(OCR).While various OCR techniques have bee...Urdu,a prominent subcontinental language,serves as a versatile means of communication.However,its handwritten expressions present challenges for optical character recognition(OCR).While various OCR techniques have been proposed,most of them focus on recognizing printed Urdu characters and digits.To the best of our knowledge,very little research has focused solely on Urdu pure handwriting recognition,and the results of such proposed methods are often inadequate.In this study,we introduce a novel approach to recognizing Urdu pure handwritten digits and characters using Convolutional Neural Networks(CNN).Our proposed method utilizes convolutional layers to extract important features from input images and classifies them using fully connected layers,enabling efficient and accurate detection of Urdu handwritten digits and characters.We implemented the proposed technique on a large publicly available dataset of Urdu handwritten digits and characters.The findings demonstrate that the CNN model achieves an accuracy of 98.30%and an F1 score of 88.6%,indicating its effectiveness in detecting and classifyingUrdu handwritten digits and characters.These results have far-reaching implications for various applications,including document analysis,text recognition,and language understanding,which have previously been unexplored in the context of Urdu handwriting data.This work lays a solid foundation for future research and development in Urdu language detection and processing,opening up new opportunities for advancement in this field.展开更多

The results indicated that the corrosion of the CuCrNiAl alloy beneath the NaCl deposit is severe; the corrosion production is loose and easy to scale off; the Cr phase is easier to erode than the Cu phase, and the contents of Cu and Cr decrease when the content of Ni increases in the matrix of the alloy beneath the corrosion region. The results showed that the bigger the sample's deformation and surface roughness, the shorter the incubation time of dechromization of the Cu-Cr alloy, and the trend of dechromization increases. Simultaneously, the deformation can increase the dechromization rate, invite stress corrosion, and decrease the compactibifity of the microstructure of the dechromization layer. The major focus is the application of the designed MR-compatible robotic system to MRI-guided brain biopsy. We prepare hexagonal ZnS single-crystal nanowire arrays growing along the [110] direction via electrodeposition. The thermal expansion properties of the as-prepared ZnS nanowires have been studied by in situ x-ray diffraction method. The thermal expansion coefficient (TEC) of the ZnS nanowires decreases consistently from room temperature to 225℃ where it reaches a minimum value, and then increases rapidly. The average TEC in the studied temperature range is 4.74 × 10-6/℃, which is smaller than that of the conventional bulk counterpart.展开更多

Irrigated agriculture represents 20% of the total cultivated area and contributes 40% of the total food production worldwide. Competition for water resources is particularly much needed in arid and semi-arid regions, where irrigation is essential for successful agriculture. This leads to the need to treat larger amounts of wastewater, in order to compensate for the lack of rainwater to irrigate crops and thus favor the environment and the economic development of farmers. In Mexico there are two highly consumed food products, they are: corn and beans, a fundamental part of the Mexican people diet. It can be said that corn is basic in the diet of Mexicans, it is consumed mainly as “tortilla” and in “tamales”, also in some stews;there is a variety called fodder corn to feed cattle. Beans are also an essential part of the Mexican diet for its nutritional value and pleasant flavor. Moreover, its microstructure and characteristics of wearing surface was analyzed. The experimental results show that RE can improve the wear resistance of wear resistant cast iron containing low alloy, especially for impact wear resistance. The optimum wear resistance of wear resistant cast iron containing low alloy modified by RE of 0.046% can be obtained by normalization at 950 ℃ for 3 h. Moreover, the coordinated effect of rare earths and heat treatment was also revealed in this paper.

文摘The thermal expansion behavior of semiconductor single-crystal nanowire arrays is of importance for their applications in electronic and optoelectronic nanodevices. We prepare hexagonal ZnS single-crystal nanowire arrays growing along the [110] direction via electrodeposition. The thermal expansion properties of the as-prepared ZnS nanowires have been studied by in situ x-ray diffraction method. The thermal expansion coefficient (TEC) of the ZnS nanowires decreases consistently from room temperature to 225℃ where it reaches a minimum value, and then increases rapidly. The average TEC in the studied temperature range is 4.74 × 10-6/℃, which is smaller than that of the conventional bulk counterpart.

文摘The global demand for water for agricultural use is continuously increasing worldwide as a result of population growth and food supply, approximately 1% per year since the 1980s. Irrigated agriculture represents 20% of the total cultivated area and contributes 40% of the total food production worldwide. Competition for water resources is particularly much needed in arid and semi-arid regions, where irrigation is essential for successful agriculture. This leads to the need to treat larger amounts of wastewater, in order to compensate for the lack of rainwater to irrigate crops and thus favor the environment and the economic development of farmers. In Mexico there are two highly consumed food products, they are: corn and beans, a fundamental part of the Mexican people diet. It can be said that corn is basic in the diet of Mexicans, it is consumed mainly as “tortilla” and in “tamales”, also in some stews;there is a variety called fodder corn to feed cattle. Beans are also an essential part of the Mexican diet for its nutritional value and pleasant flavor. To solve the challenges of the future in the supply of water for agriculture, it is necessary to reconsider that not all farmers can afford irrigation systems and depend on rainwater, so the use of treated wastewater in treatment plants can be useful.
