In this paper, we present a new robust hybrid algorithm combining successively chaotic encryption and blind watermarking of images based on the quaternionic wavelet transform (QWT) to ensure the secure transfer of digital data. The calculations of the different evaluation parameters have been performed in order to determine the robustness of our algorithm to certain attacks. The application of this hybrid algorithm on CFA (Color Filter Array) images, allowed us to guarantee the integrity of the digital data and to propose an autonomous transmission system. The results obtained after simulation of this successive hybrid algorithm of chaotic encryption and then blind watermarking are appreciated through the values of the evaluation parameters which are the peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) and the correlation coefficient (CC), and by the visual observation of the extracted watermarks before and after attacks. The values of these parameters show that this successive hybrid algorithm is robust against some conventional attacks. 展开更多

This paper investigates State Space Model Predictive Control (SSMPC) of an aerothermic process. It is a pilot scale heating and ventilation system equipped with a heater grid and a centrifugal blower, fully connected through a data acquisition system for real time control. The interaction between the process variables is shown to be challenging for single variable controllers, therefore multi-variable control is worth considering. A multi-variable state space model is obtained from on-line experimental data. The controller design is translated into a Quadratic Programming (QP) problem, in which a cost function subject to actuators linear inequality constraints is minimized. The outcome of the experimental results is that the main control objectives, such as set-point tracking and perturbations rejection under actuators constraints, are well achieved for both controlled variables simultaneously. 展开更多

A dynamical hybrid system is described by a set of continuous variables and a set of discrete events interacting mutually. The reality imposes to take into account the failures of the components or the uncertainties on the knowledge of the system. Therefore, the systems can work in several modes. Some of these modes correspond to a normal functioning and the others represent failing modes. In this article, we are interested in the evaluation of the probability of occurrence of the failing events in a hybrid dynamic system. Furthermore, we propose an approach to detect on line the failed states and try to find the components responsible for this fault. This approach is based on the knowledge in priori of the system, at least from the point of view of the state of its components in normal functioning. This approach is here described through a simple case study taken from literature. 展开更多

The indirect vector controlled IM (induction motor) drive involves decoupling of the stator current into torque and flux producing components. This paper proposes the implementation of a fuzzy logic control scheme applied to a two d-q current components model of an induction motor. An intelligent based on fuzzy logic controller is developed with the help of knowledge rule base for efficient control. The performance of fuzzy logic controller is compared with that of the proportional integral controller in terms of the settling time and dynamic response to sudden load changes. The harmonic pattern of the output current is evaluated for both fixed gain proportional integral controller and the fuzzy logic based controller. The performance of the IM drive has been analyzed under steady state and transient conditions. Simulation results of both the controllers are presented for comparison. 展开更多

Supermarkets and large-scale retail stores are usually subject to huge monetary transactions for certain customers’ purchases. The computerization of these systems is common in supermarkets but the security of these transactions remains a mystery. This article presents an algorithm as an API based on symmetric cryptography that can enable end-to-end encryption of a monetary transaction in a supermarket. This algorithm is the first part of the complete supermarket management system which will be presented in the following article. The Python language and the Flask framework allow us to develop the algorithm as an independent component. Tests have been performed and our algorithm uses 98.49% less memory and 10.18% time saving than the AES algorithm. 展开更多

Autonomous vehicles(AVs)have the potential to enhance road safety,reduce fuel consumption,and alleviate traffic congestion.However,the computational demands of processing large volumes of sensory data for tasks like motion planning and trajectory forecasting impose critical challenges on limited onboard resources of AVs.Mobile edge computing(MEC)offers a solution by offloading these tasks to edge servers located in proximity of the vehicles.When AVs traverse remote areas lacking terrestrial infrastructures,low Earth orbit(LEO)satellites can fill this gap by providing edge computing services.In this paper,we propose a microservice-based framework for MEC-enabled hybrid satellite-terrestrial networks to support AVs.By decomposing monolithic applications into microservices deployed in containers,we enable scalable and flexible computing services.We address the challenges of microservice migration due to the mobility of AVs and LEO satellites by formulating a long-term optimization problem aimed at minimizing task and migration delays.An online Lyapunov-based algorithm is developed to solve this problem,reducing the decision space by scheduling periodic migrations and decomposing it into mixed-integer linear programming.Numerical results demonstrate that our proposed algorithm can achieve a nearly optimal results while maintaining a low execution time. 展开更多

The modeling of distillation column process is a very challenging problem because of the complex dynamic behavior.This paper investigates a Nonlinear Autoregressive Moving Average with eXogenous input(NARMAX)model,and a Hammerstein model to approximate the evolution of the overhead temperature in a separation system.The model development and validation are studied through experiments carried out on a distillation plant of laboratory scale.Three model order selection criteria such as Aikeke’s Information Criterion(AIC),Root Mean Square Error(RMSE)and Nash–Sutcliffe Efficiency(NSE)are used to evaluate the prediction performance of the process behavior.The results illustrate that both models produce acceptable predictions but the NARMAX model outperforms the Hammerstein model. 展开更多
