The decentralized robust guaranteed cost control problem is studied for a class of interconnected singular large-scale systems with time-delay and norm-bounded time-invariant parameter uncertainty under a given quadratic cost performance function. The problem that is addressed in this study is to design a decentralized robust guaranteed cost state feedback controller such that the closed-loop system is not only regular, impulse-free and stable, but also guarantees an adequate level of performance for all admissible uncertainties. A sufficient condition for the existence of the decentralized robust guaranteed cost state feedback controllers is proposed in terms of a linear matrix inequality (LMI) via LMI approach. When this condition is feasible, the desired state feedback decentralized robust guaranteed cost controller gain matrices can be obtained. Finally, an illustrative example is provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach. 展开更多

To overcome the limitations of the traditional surrogate worth trade-off (SWT) method and solve the multiple criteria decision making problem more efficiently and interactively, a new method labeled dual worth tradeoff (DWT) method is proposed. The DWT method dynamically uses the duality theory related to the multiple criteria decision making problem and analytic hierarchy process technique to obtain the decision maker's solution preference information and finally find the satisfactory compromise solution of the decision maker. Through the interactive process between the analyst and the decision maker, trade-off information is solicited and treated properly, the representative subset of efficient solutions and the satisfactory solution to the problem are found. The implementation procedure for the DWT method is presented. The effectiveness and applicability of the DWT method are shown by a practical case study in the field of production scheduling. 展开更多

As an essential candidate for environment-friendly luminescent quantum dots(QDs),CuInS-based QDs have attracted more attention in recent years.However,several drawbacks still hamper their industrial applications,such as lower photoluminescence quantum yield(PLQY),complex synthetic pathways,uncontrollable emission spectra,and insufficient photostability.In this study,CuInZnS@ZnS core/shell QDs was prepared via a one-pot/three-step synthetic scheme with accurate and tunable control of PL spectra.Then their ensemble spectroscopic properties during nucleation formation,alloying,and ZnS shell growth processes were systematically investigated.PL peaks of these QDs can be precisely manipulated from 530 to 850 nm by controlling the stoichiometric ratio of Cu/In,Zn^(2+)doping and ZnS shell growth.In particular,CuInZnS@ZnS QDs possess a significantly long emission lifetime(up to 750 ns),high PLQY(up to 85%),and excellent crystallinity.Their spectroscopic evolution is well validated by Cu-deficient related intragap emission model.By controlling the stoichiometric ratio of Cu/In,two distinct Cu-deficient related emission pathways are established based on the differing oxidation states of Cu defects.Therefore,this work provides deeper insights for fabricating high luminescent ternary or quaternary-alloyed QDs. 展开更多

To seek for lower-dimensional chaotic systems that have complex topological attractor structure with simple algebraic system structure, a new chaotic system of three-dimensional autonomous ordinary differential equations is presented. The new system has simple algebraic structure, and can display a 2-scroll attractor with complex topological structure, which is different from the Lorenz's, Chen's and Lu¨'s attractors. By introducing a linear state feedback controller, the system can be controlled to generate a hyperchaotic attractor. The novel chaotic attractor, hyperchaotic attractor and dynamical behaviors of corresponding systems are further investigated by employing Lyapunov exponent spectrum, bifurcation diagram, Poincar′e mapping and phase portrait, etc., and then verified by simulating an experimental circuit. 展开更多

A new method is proposed to analyze multi-component linear frequency modulated (LFM) signals, which eliminates cross terms in conventional Wigner-Ville distribution (WVD). The approach is based on Radon transform and Hilbert-Huang transform (HHT), which is a recently developed method adaptive to non-linear and non-stationary signals. The complicated signal is decomposed into several intrinsic mode functions (IMF) by the empirical mode decomposition (EMD), which makes the consequent instantaneous frequency meaningful. After the instantaneous frequency and Hilbert spectrum are computed, multi-component LFM signals detection and parameter estimation are obtained using Radon transform on the Hilbert spectrum plane. This paper is one of a series of reports of theoretical researches on the mechanism of the Mannich reaction using the iminium salt as the potential Mannich reagent. According to the results of AM1 dynamic calculations, the activation energies of key steps in conventional Mannich reactions between ammonia, formaldehyde and acetaldehyde in neutral and acidic media are 438 8 kJ/mol and 393 9 kJ/mol respectively. The activation energy of the rate controlling step of the Mannich reaction which contains the potential Mannich reagent is 274 7 kJ/mol. Therefore, it can be derived that the potential Mannich reagent can increase the rate of the reaction remarkably. The reasons for this have been discussed in terms of the orbital match and electrostatic interaction between the atoms of reactant complexes. In this paper another different conjectured mechanism of the potential Mannich reagent which can reduce the activation energy is considerably studied. 展开更多

In this paper, the multigrid method is extended to the application of solving integral equations which appear in electromagnetic scattering problems. The diakoptic theory is used for this purpose. Compared with other methods, the numerical results show that the multigrid method is powerful to solve electromagnetic scattering problems and can be used to compute electromagnetic scattering problems with electrically large bodies and complex structures. 展开更多

It is an urgent project to realize online and overall condition monitoring and timely fault diagnosis for large-scale mobile and complex equipment. Moreover, most of the existing large-scale complex equipment has quite insufficient accessibility of examination, although it still has quite a long service life. The decentralized and overall condition monitoring, as a new concept, is proposed from the point of view of the whole system. A set of complex equipment is divided into several parts in terms of concrete equipment. Every part is processed via one detecting unit, and the main detecting unit is connected with other units. The management work and communications with the remote monitoring center have been taken on by it. Consequently, the difficulty of realizing a condition monitoring system and the complexity of processing information is reduced greatly. Furthermore, excellent maintainability of the condition monitoring system is obtained because of the modularization design. Through an application example, the design and realization of the decentralized and overall condition monitoring system is introduced specifically. Some advanced technologies, such as, micro control unit (MCU), advanced RISC machines (ARM), and control area network (CAN), have been adopted in the system. The system's applicability for the existing large-scale mobile and complex equipment is tested. 展开更多

A very simple and efficient method for accomplishing the task is proposed. Firstly, the probabilistic model with periodic effects in double quantization is analyzed, and the probability of quantized DCT coefficients in each block is calculated over the entire iraage. Secondly, the posteriori probability of each block is computed according to Bayesian theory and the results mentioned in first part. Then the mean and variance of the posteriori probability are to be used for judging whether the target block is tampered. Finally, the mathematical morphology operations are performed to reduce the false alarm probability. Experimental results show that the method can exactly locate the doctored part, and through the experiment it is also found that for detecting the tampered regions, the higher the second compression quality is, the more exact the detection efficiency is. 展开更多

The existing methods employ the multiplefrequency angular-diversity (MFAD) technique, whereas this paper considers the single-frequency angular-diversity (SFAD) technique. The paper takes into account the scattering center modeling and the limitation of higher sidelobes in reconstructing images in the SFAD technique compared to the MFAD technique. A method of combining the SFAD technique with the RELAX approach is presented for the high-resolution extraction of scattering centers on a target. The proposed method offers an excellent RCS recovery, which is validated by numerical results. 展开更多

For a large-scale adaptive array,the heavy computational load and the high-rate data transmission are two challenges in the implementation of an adaptive digital beamforming system.An efficient parallel digital beamforming(DBF)algorithm based on the least mean square algorithm(PLMS)is proposed.An appropriate method is found to partition the least mean square(LMS)algorithm into a number of operational modules,which can be easily executed in a distributed-parallel-processing fashion.As a result,the proposed PLMS algorithm provides an effective solution that can alleviate the bottleneck of high-rate data transmission and reduce the computational cost.PLMS requires less computational load than that of the conventional parallel algorithms based on the recursive least square(RLS)algorithm,as well as it is easier to be implemented to do real time adaptive array processing.Moreover,low sidelobe of the beam pattern is obtained by constraining the static steering vector with Tschebyscheff coefficients.Finally,a scheme of the PLMS algorithm using distributed-parallel-processing system is also proposed.The simulation results demonstrate that the PLMS algorithm has the same interference cancellation performance as that of the conventional LMS algorithm.Moreover,the PLMS algorithm can obtain the same good beamforming performance,regardless how the algorithm is partitioned.It is expected that the proposed algorithm will be used in a large-scale adaptive array system to deal with real time adaptive digital beamforming processing. 展开更多

The early stages of a spilling breaking water wave leading to the formation of a bulge on the forward face of the wave are investigated. In this study, simultaneous space-time measurements of the free-surface elevation of a spilling breaking water wave are recorded and analyzed. The analysis, carried out in the frame of reference moving with the crest of the wave,reveals that the formation of the bulge is due to the presence of a shock-like mode. In the previous frame of reference, the shock itself is unsteady but its (spatial) location is time independent and coincides with the 'toe' of the bulge. As time increases, the shock undergoes a flip (a reflection symmetry) with respect to the midpoint of our time interval. Such a flip is responsible for an abrupt increase of the wave steepe-ness, which will lead to wave breaking at later times. Following these observations, we present a two-dimensional quantitative model which reproduces both the formation of the bulge and the sudden increase of the wave steepeness. 展开更多
