This analysis focuses on PIM interference under multi-band multi-signal input in mobile communication system.Unlike single band system that only odd order PIM(especially 3rd order) should be concerned,in multi-band mu...This analysis focuses on PIM interference under multi-band multi-signal input in mobile communication system.Unlike single band system that only odd order PIM(especially 3rd order) should be concerned,in multi-band multi-signal case,both odd and even order PIM could be interference source because of more complicated intermodulation,more IMPs generated and more receive bands.Especially,the 2nd order PIM may interfere more serious to receiving channel for its strong magnitude.In duplex indoor distribute system,the PIM interference is a potential problem to GSM900,DCS1800,CDMA,and even 3G system wireless services,because the PIM frequencies may fall in receive bands and interfere to the receiving channels.In radio system design and wireless channel assignment,precautions must be taken to minimize the PIM level and to avoid interfere to receiving channels.For practical use,the lower order possible PIM interference to 2G and 3G systems is calculated.展开更多

This paper focuses o...The application of Low Density Parity Check (LDPC) code in the anti-interference systems has drawn an increasing attention, due to its admiring performance which is very close to the theory limit. This paper focuses on a LDPC encoded slow frequency hopping (SFH) communication system with partial-band interference. Firstly, a modified soft- decision algorithm based on the utilization of interference information is proposed, and its performance is compared with some other soft-decision methods. Secondly, with numerical simulation, the influence of code rate, code length and the number of symbols per hops on the performance of the system with partial band noise interference is illustrated and examined in detail. Considering the great influence of hops per symbol on the performance, interleaver should be used and its influence on the performance is further examined by simulation. Finally, some constructive advises for the design of LDPC coded SFH system are given. Simulation results show that, with a reasonable design, the SFH system with LDPC code could achieve a desirable performance.展开更多

In the proposed methods, at the transmitter, by using Karhaunen-Loeve Transform and Discrete Fourier Transform, the transmitted power is set to zero in the directions of the eigenvectors that will be severely contaminated by NBI; and therefore less part of the transmitted energy will be polluted by NBI in channel. The processing is transferred from receiver to transmitter, and thus the complexity of the receiver is significantly reduced. It is assumed that channel state information can be estimated at the transmitter because in symmetric TDD systems each receiver in turn also acts as a transmitter.展开更多
Fault-related resonance frequency band extraction-based demodulation methods are widely used for bearing diagnostics.However,due to the high peaks of strong gear meshing interference,the classical band selection metho...Fault-related resonance frequency band extraction-based demodulation methods are widely used for bearing diagnostics.However,due to the high peaks of strong gear meshing interference,the classical band selection methods have poor performance and cannot work well for bearing fault type detection.As such,the CVRgram-based bearing fault diagnosis method is proposed in this paper.In the proposed method,inspired by the conditional variance(CV)index and root mean square(RMS),a novel index,named the CV/root mean square(CVR),is first proposed.The CVR index has high robustness for the interference of non-Gaussian or Gaussian noise and has the ability to determine the center frequency of the weak bearing fault-related resonance frequency band under strong interference.Secondly,motived by the Kurtogram,the CVRgram algorithm is developed for adaptively determining the optimal filtering parameters.Finally,the CVRgram-based bearing fault diagnosis method under strong gear meshing interference is proposed.The performance of the CVRgram-based method is verified by both the simulation signal and the experiment signal.The comparison analysis with the Kurtogram,Protrugram,and CVgram-based method shows that the proposed technique has a much better ability for bearing fault detection under strong noise interference.展开更多

The QPSK DS-CDMA signals are transmitted over a frequency non-selective Rayleigh fading channel. The analysis is based on a first-order real-coefficient difference equation with respect to steady-state instantaneous frequency tracking error from which a closed-form expression that relates frequency tracking mean square error (MSE) with number of DS-CDMA active users and NBI power is obtained. Closed-form expressions for optimum notch bandwidth coefficient and step size constant that minimize the frequency tracking MSE are also derived. Computer simulations are included to substantiate the accuracy of the analyses.展开更多

The effects of bandwidth limitation, nonlinearityity distortion and adjacent channel interference (ACI) in Ka-band satellite channel corrupted by additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) are taken into account. The analytical expressions of the HER of coherent MPSK and MQAM signal are obtained and shown to be in good agreement with the simulation results.展开更多
