The cross-sectional dependence follows the first order spatial autoregressive error (SAE) process and is imposed on the remainder disturbances. It is important to note that this paper does not consider alternative forms of spatial lag dependence other than SAE. It also does not allow for endogeneity of the regressors and requires the normality assumption to derive the LM test.展开更多

This, in turn, allows us to overcome the computational difficulties for the calculation of the integrals expressing the cross section to sufficiently large numbers of particles. We have managed to overcome these problems in calculating the proton-proton inelastic cross-section for production (n ≤ 8) number of secondary particles in within the framework of φ3 model. We do not know any works that adopted the inter- ference contributions for inelastic processes. This is due to the generally adopted assumption that the main contribution to the integrals expressing the cross section makes multi-Regge domains with its characteristic strong ordering of secon- dary particles by rapidity. However, in this work, we find what kind of space domains makes a major contribution to the integral and these space domains are not multi-Regge. We demonstrated that because these interference contributions are significant, so they cannot be limited by a small part of them. With the help of the approximate replacement the sum of a huge number of these contributions by the integral were calculated partial cross sections for such numbers of secondary particles for which direct calculation would be impossible. The offered model qualitative agrees with experimental dependence of total scattering cross-section on energy with a characteristic minimum in the range ≈ 10 GeV. However, quantitative agreement was not achieved;we assume that due to the fact that we have examined the simplest diagrams of theory.展开更多

So theoretical analysis, numerical simulation and experimental data are combined to analyze the influence of variable cross-section characteristic on the time history of crater radius. Moreover the relationships between time history of crater radius (as well as mass of BAD) and the thickness of RHA (from 30mm to 70 mm) and the impact velocity of EFP (1650 m/s to 1860 m/s) are also investigated. The results indicate that: 1) being compared to the variable cross-section characteristic is ignored, the theoretical time history of crater radius is in better agreement with the simulation results when the variable cross-section characteristic is considered;2) being compared to the other three conditions of plug, the theoretical mass of BAD is in the best agreement with the simulation results when the shape of plug is frustum of a cone and the angle between generatrix and bottom is 45- and the axial length of mushroom is considered.展开更多

In the present study, the breaking strengths of J30/C70 and J55/C45 blended yarns spun by the ring spinning technology were investigated with the employment of the equations derived from the Weibull theory. The four probability estimators of the Weibull distribution were also evaluated. The results showed that the estimator (2a) was acceptable for calculating the Weibull modulus of the jute/cotton blended yarns. With the exception of breaking strength of the J30/C70 at the gauge length of 200 ram, the breaking strengths of both blended yarn could be predicted accurately by the Eqs. In order to investigate the effect of cross-sectional shapes before fiat rolling on the performance and homogeneity of the tapes, some numerical models of Bi-2223/Ag wires with different cross-sectional shapes including circular, square, elliptical and racetrack cross-sections are constructed during the rolling process. By comparing the relative density, logarithmic strain ratio and length-width ratio on the filaments, it is revealed that Bi-2223/Ag wire with special-shaped cross-section can achieve better conductivity than the round wire, in particular, the racetrack cross-sectional wire has the second best performance among four wires. Based on material processability and experimental condition, tri-pass racetrack drawing technique is employed to optimize the process and obtain racetrack cross-sectional wire. The rolling process of Bi-2223/Ag wire with racetrack cross-section causes more intensive deformation of filaments in the center of the tape and achieves the filaments with larger length-width ratio. Also, the deformation distribution of filaments verifies the numerical results. Consequently, the racetrack drawing technique can be utilized for a reference during the mechanical processing and to increase the current transmission capacities of Bi-2223/Ag tapes.展开更多

The surfaces of the yarns are modeled by many facets. To improve the efficiency of modeling, 3D yarn is usually designed by Bezier curve, spline curve or B-spline curve on the principle of Computer Graphics. The paper reviews different 3D modeling methods for single yarn from the view of cross-section and central line. Some improvements for a better visual effect such as inserting twist and hairiness are illustrated as well. Based on the single yarn, the folded yarn and some fancy yarns can also be modeled in 3D space as long as the cross-sections of the control sections of the component single yarn are determined. Applications of the various 3D yarns are demonstrated. The advantages and the drawbacks of various methods are explained and compared as well. Comparatively speaking, modeling technology based on spline curve is more convenient and flexible, perhaps it is the most popular tool since it is capable of designing different kinds of yarns mentioned above and gets the maximum support from the different developing platforms such as OpenGL, 3DS-MAX, Solid Works CAD, etc.展开更多

In view of the principle that uniformity bad in raw material causes iustable yarn formation, the investigation focuses on the fault characteristic existing in the dynamic tension. Analyzing the dynamic spinning system, the phenomenon of over random shock in a spinning triangle is discovered to be the main physical event prior to yarn end breakage. The fault characteristic is further confirmed by dynamic tests and signal processing, and can be used to make an approach to predicting yarn end breakage. A relative energy feature is defined for evaluating the tendency of yarn end breakage, and its effectiveness is verified by on.line monitoring tests in the laboratory. The research results show that the proposed dynamic fault model has not only an advantage in indicating the presence of fault characteristics, but also great potentials in quantitating fault in online spinning monitoring.展开更多

文摘To understand the non-equilibrium morphological adjustment of a river in response to environmental changes,it is essential to(i)accurately identify how past conditions of water and sediment have impacted current morphological adjustment of the river, and(ii)establish a corresponding simulation for non-equilibrium conditions.Based on discharge and suspended sediment concentration(SSC)as well as 82 cross-sectional data items for the Huayuankou-Lijin reach of the Lower Yellow River in the period 1965-2015,the process of adjustment of the geometry of the main channel(area, width, depth, and geomorphic coefficient),and its responses to changes in discharge and SSC for different reaches are statistically analyzed.Following this,a delayed response model(DRM)of the geometry of the main channel subjected to variations in discharge and SSC is established using a multi-step analytical model, with the discharge and SSC as the main controlling factors. The results show that the area, width, and depth of the main channel decreased initially, then increased, decreased again, and finally increased again. These features of the geometry of the channel were positively correlated with the 4-year moving average discharge and negatively with the 4-year moving average SSC.The geomorphic coefficient for the Huayuankou-Sunkou reach exhibited a trend of decrease, whereas that of the Sunkou-Lijin reach decreased initially, then increased, decreased again, and finally increased again.Except for the Huayuankou-Gaocun reach in 1965-1999,the coefficient was negatively correlated with the 4-year moving average discharge and positively with SSC.The simulated values of the morphological parameters of the main channel for all sub-reaches obtained using the DRM agreed well with the measured values. This indicates that the DRM can be used to simulate the process of response of the cross-sectional geometry of the main channel to variations in the water and sediment. The results of the model show that the adjustment of the geometry of the main channel was affected by the discharge and the SSC at present(30%)as well as for the previous 7 years(70%).The proposed model offers insights into the mechanism whereby past water and sediment influence the current morphological adjustment of the river, and provides an effective method for predicting the magnitude and trend of the geometry of the main channel under different flow conditions.

文摘The phenomenon of a material failure varies with its gauge length in use. (9) or (10) in this paper.

文摘Through the development of marine energy, marine cables are the key equipment for transmission of electrical energy between surface platforms and underwater facilities.Fatigue failure is a critical failure mode of marine cables. The bending performance of the cable conductor has a major influence on both bending and fatigue performances of the overall cable structure. To study the influence of different types of the conductor cross-section on the bending performances of marine cable conductors, three types of copper conductors with the same cross-sectional area,i.e.,noncompressed round, compressed round, and shaped wire conductors, were selected. The experimental results demonstrated that the cross-section type significantly affects the bending performances of copper conductors. In particular, the bending stiffness of the shaped wire conductor is the highest among the three conductor types.Four key evaluation parameters,i.e.,the bending stiffness, maximum bending moment, envelope area, and engineering critical slip point, were selected to compare and analyze the bending hysteresis curves of the three copper conductors. The differences in the key evaluation parameters were analyzed based on the structural dimensional parameters, processing methods, and classical bending stiffness theoretical models of the three copper conductor types. The results provide an important theoretical guidance for the structural design and engineering applications of marine cable conductors.
文摘The tensile properties of a series of soybean protein yarns are tested in USTER THINKPAID Ⅲ. A nonlinear viscoelastic model has been proposed to describe the tensile behavior of soybean protein yarns. The model is composed of a Maxwell element, a linear spring and a nonlinear spring. The tensile properties of soybean protein yam are analyzed. The stress-strain curves of the yams are fitted. The average breaking tenacity and specific work of rupture are calculated using the average breaking strain. Comparisons indicate that theoretical predictions conform the experimental results very well.
文摘Water transport through the pore structure of the knitted fabric can occur only in place where the fiber-water surface attraction force is greater than the water weight in the capillary. To investigate wet permeability of the knitted yarn in the fabric, a liquid transport model is established. The main factors which have significant influences on the liquid transport have been analyzed. It is derived from the argument that the optimal design for the knitted fabric with quick sweat transport property can be obtained.
文摘In this paper, the vector equation of a generaliseddoubly wound helix was derived.Treloar’s pliedyarn geometry could be obtained as a special case ofthe generalised doubly wound helix. The shortest fi-bre length around the surface of a helical tube(formed by fibre helices)was determined by apply-ing variational principles. The fibre length as calcu-lated by using Treloar’s geometry was compared in-directly with the shortest possible fibre length at dif-ferent levels of yarn deformation when some of Tre-loar’s rigid geometrical constraints were relaxed.Anew idea based on non-concentric circles was intro-duced to approximate the fibre helix movement in atwo-ply yarn.A torsional model of two-ply yarnwas developed and the theoretical predictions werecompared with some preliminary experimental re-sults.

文摘Rolling process plays an important role in the manufacture of Bi-based high temperature superconductor tapes, and the plastic flow regularities of the superconducting wires during deformation will directly affect the ultimate quality of the tapes. Consequently, the racetrack drawing technique can be utilized for a reference during the mechanical processing and to increase the current transmission capacities of Bi-2223/Ag tapes.
文摘Modeling the 3D geometric configuration of yarn is the base of building the 3D fabric structure. Comparatively speaking, modeling technology based on spline curve is more convenient and flexible, perhaps it is the most popular tool since it is capable of designing different kinds of yarns mentioned above and gets the maximum support from the different developing platforms such as OpenGL, 3DS-MAX, Solid Works CAD, etc.
文摘In this paper, a dynamic fault model is proposed to predict yarn end breakage in the spinning procedure through investigation of fault characteristics. The research results show that the proposed dynamic fault model has not only an advantage in indicating the presence of fault characteristics, but also great potentials in quantitating fault in online spinning monitoring.
