This letter investigates the wavelet transform, as well as the principle and the method of the noise reduction based on wavelet transform, it chooses the threshold noise reduction, and discusses in detail the principles, features and design steps of the threshold method. Rigrsure, heursure, sqtwolog and minimization four kinds of threshold selection method are compared qualitatively, and quantitatively. The wavelet analysis toolbox of MATLAB helps to realize the computer simulation of the signal noise reduction. The graphics and calculated standard deviation of the various threshold noise reductions show that, when dealing with the actual pressure signal of the oil pipeline leakage, sqtwolog threshold selection method can effectively remove the noise. Aiming to the pressure signal of the oil pipeline leakage, the best choice is the wavelet threshold noise reduction with sqtwolog threshold. The leakage point is close to the actual position, with the relative error of less than 1%. 展开更多

With Wavelet transforms, various algorithms for denoising in wavelet domain were introduced. Wavelets gave a superior performance in image denoising due to its properties such as multi-resolution. The problem of estimating an image that is corrupted by Additive White Gaussian Noise has been of interest for practical and theoretical reasons. Non-linear methods especially those based on wavelets have become popular due to its advantages over linear methods. Here I applied non-linear thresholding techniques in wavelet domain such as hard and soft thresholding, wavelet shrinkages such as Visu-shrink (non-adaptive) and SURE, Bayes and Normal Shrink (adaptive), using Discrete Stationary Wavelet Transform (DSWT) for different wavelets, at different levels, to denoise an image and determine the best one out of them. Performance of denoising algorithm is measured using quantitative performance measures such as Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) and Mean Square Error (MSE) for various thresholding techniques. 展开更多

现有故障诊断方法多采用“单信号-单模型”的专用架构,对不同传感信号需构建独立的诊断模型。这类方法在实际应用中存在模型泛化能力有限、跨信号类型适应性不足等问题。因此,本文提出了一种通过构建统一的深度网络诊断模型,来实现能同... 现有故障诊断方法多采用“单信号-单模型”的专用架构,对不同传感信号需构建独立的诊断模型。这类方法在实际应用中存在模型泛化能力有限、跨信号类型适应性不足等问题。因此,本文提出了一种通过构建统一的深度网络诊断模型,来实现能同时适用于振动与声学信号的智能诊断方法。首先,该方法采用改进淘金热优化算法和包络熵适应度函数来优化变分模态分解,实现变分模态分解中本征模态分量个数k和惩罚因子α自适应确定,再以平均峭度准则筛选变分模态分解分解后的本征模态分量,并使用改进的小波阈值去噪进行二次降噪和重构,以凸显声振信号中的故障特征。然后,在Transformer模型的基础上引入深度残差收缩网络,构建局部特征提取层,提高模型的局部特征提取能力;同时,设计了一种多尺度线性注意力机制来替换Transformer中的多头自注意力,降低模型计算复杂度,增强模型对长距离依赖的捕捉能力。最后,在自建的滚动轴承声振数据集上进行验证,实验结果表明,该方法在自建滚动轴承数据集上表现优异,对声学信号的诊断精度可达到90%,对振动信号的诊断精度达到了99.77%,均优于ResNet18、DRSN、VIT、MCSwin_T、WDCNN。 展开更多

The local maximum modulus is extracted by linear interpolation in wavelet domain. With the analysis on histogram, the image is filtered with an adaptive dual threshold method, which effectively detects the contours of small structures as well as the boundaries of large objects. A wavelet domain's propagation function is used to further select weak edges. Experimental results have shown the self adaptivity of the threshold to images having the same kind of histogram, and the efficiency even in noise tampered images. 展开更多

Neurochip based on light-addressable potentiometric sensor(LAPS),whose sensing elements are excitable cells,can monitor electrophysiological properties of cultured neuron networks with cellular signals well analyzed.Here we report a kind of neurochip with rat pheochromocytoma(PC12) cells hybrid with LAPS and a method of de-noising signals based on wavelet transform.Cells were cultured on LAPS for several days to form networks,and we then used LAPS system to detect the extracellular potentials with signals de-noised according to decomposition in the time-frequency space.The signal was decomposed into various scales,and coefficients were processed based on the properties of each layer.At last,signal was reconstructed based on the new coefficients.The results show that after de-noising,baseline drift is removed and signal-to-noise ratio is increased.It suggests that the neurochip of PC12 cells coupled to LAPS is stable and suitable for long-term and non-invasive measurement of cell electrophysiological properties with wavelet transform,taking advantage of its time-frequency localization analysis to reduce noise. 展开更多

Homologous feature point extraction is a key problem in the optical and synthetic aperture radar (SAR) image registration for islands. A new feature point extraction method using a threshold shrink operator and non-subsampled wavelet transform (TSO-NSWT) for optical and SAR image registration was proposed. Moreover, the matching for this proposed feature was different from the traditional feature matching strategies and was performed using a similarity measure computed from neighborhood circles in low-frequency bands. Then, a number of reliably matched couples with even distributions were obtained, which assured the accuracy of the registration. Application of the proposed algorithm to SPOT-5 (multi-spectral) and YG-1 (SAR) images showed that a large number of accurately matched couples could be identified. Additionally, both of the root mean square error (RMSE) patterns of the registration parameters computed based on the TSO-NSWT algorithm and traditional NSWT algorithm were analyzed and compared, which further demonstrated the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. The algorithm can supply the crucial step for island image registration and island recognition. 展开更多

In this paper, an improved method is proposed, that determines a threshold as well as neighbouring window size for every subband using its lengths. Gyro's drift is not only the main drift error which influences gyro's precision but also the primary factor that affects gyro's reliability. Reducing zero drift and random drift is a key problem to the output of a gyro signal. A three-layer de-nosing threshold algorithm is proposed based on the wavelet decomposition to dispose the signal which is collected from a running fiber optic gyro (FOG). The coefficients are obtained from the three-layer wavelet packet decomposition. By setting the high frequency part which is greater than wavelet packet threshold as zero, then reconstructing the nodes which have been filtered out noise and interruption, the soft threshold function is constructed by the coefficients of the third nodes. Compared wavelet packet de-noise with forced de-noising method, the proposed method is more effective. Simulation results show that the random drift compensation is enhanced by 13.1%, and reduces zero drift by 0.052 6°/h. 展开更多

It is common that we extract the characteristic value of pulse wave signal with the method based on wavelet transform on a small scale, and then determine the locations of the characteristic points by modulus maxima and modulus minima. Before determining characteristic value by detecting modulus maxima and modulus minima, we need to determine every period of the pulse wave. This paper presents a new kind of adaptive threshold determination method which is more effective. It can accurately determine every period of the pulse wave, and then extract characteristic values by modulus maxima and modulus minima in every period of the pulse wave. This paper presents a wavelet-based hybrid threshold method according to the soft- and hard-threshold functions proposed by Donoho. The wavelet-based hybrid threshold method may help doctors to know more details on the liver disease through denoising the ultrasound image of the liver. First of all, an analytical expression for the hybrid threshold function is discussed. The wavelet-based hybrid threshold method is then investigated for ultrasound image of the liver. Finally, we test the influence of this parameter on the proposed method with the real ultrasound image corrupted by speckle noise with different variances. Moreover, we compare the proposed method under the varying parameters with the soft-threshold function and the hard-threshold function. Three metrics, which are correlation coefficient, edge preservation index and structural similarity index, are measured to quantify the denoised results of ultrasound liver image. Experimental results demonstrate the potential of the proposed method for ultrasound liver image denosing. 展开更多

Hence today it has drawn the attention of the experts to reduce its effect on the received signal. This paper discusses ambient noise problem and devises a new wavelet thresholding method to reduce its effect. Aiming at the problem,i.e.infrared images own the characters of bad contrast ratio and fuzzy edges,a method to enhance the contrast of infrared image is given,which is based on stationary wavelet transform.After making stationary wavelet transform to an infrared image,denoising is done by the proposed method of double-threshold shrinkage in detail coefficient matrixes that have high noisy intensity.For the approximation coefficient matrix with low noisy intensity,enhancement is done by the proposed method based on histogram.The enhanced image can be got by wavelet coefficient reconstruction.Furthermore,an evaluation criterion of enhancement performance is introduced.The results show that this algorithm ensures target enhancement and restrains additive Gauss white noise effectively.At the same time,its amount of calculation is small and operation speed is fast. 展开更多

The range of applications includes virtual prototyping, sign language analysis and medical training. In this paper, an efficient Indian Sign Language Recognition System (ISLR) is proposed for deaf and dump people using hand gesture images. The proposed ISLR system is considered as a pattern recognition technique that has two important modules: feature extraction and classification. The joint use of Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) based feature extraction and nearest neighbour classifier is used to recognize the sign language. The experimental results show that the proposed hand gesture recognition system achieves maximum 99.23% classification accuracy while using cosine distance classifier. 展开更多

镀锌表面纹理、颜色以及亮度变化的复杂度往往较高,且不同的光照条件会对金属表面的反射和阴影产生显著影响,当前固定的阈值选择方式难以适应这种复杂多变的识别环境,影响当前人工智能领域中表面缺陷的识别效果,故提出了基于改进Otsu算... 镀锌表面纹理、颜色以及亮度变化的复杂度往往较高,且不同的光照条件会对金属表面的反射和阴影产生显著影响,当前固定的阈值选择方式难以适应这种复杂多变的识别环境,影响当前人工智能领域中表面缺陷的识别效果,故提出了基于改进Otsu算法的金属器件镀锌表面缺陷识别方法。首先,针对金属器件镀锌表面图像,根据结构张量提取图像的轮廓信息,利用Itti模型提取图像颜色和亮度信息,并分别生成各通道显著图。经规范化处理后,通过线性组合构成视觉显著图,用于初步判断图像中是否存在表面缺陷;然后,在常规的Otsu算法中,引入二阶振荡粒子群优化算法多次调整灰度阈值,利用最优的灰度阈值分割出缺陷区域;最后,利用加权马氏距离表示协方差距离,突出缺陷边缘像素特征,使缺陷兴趣区域更加显著,再采用连通区域标记的方式准确识别表面缺陷。实验结果表明,在金属器件镀锌表面缺陷人工智能识别中,该方法可以准确检索到缺陷区域,识别结果的敏感度和特异性较高。由此可以说明,该方法具有良好的应用效果。 展开更多
