Contrast visual acuity after multifocal intraocular lens implantation: aspheric versus spherical design 被引量:5

AIM: To evaluate contrast visual acuity(CVA) after implantation of an aspheric apodized diffractive intraocular lens(IOL) or a spherical apodized diffractive IOL in cataract surgery. ·METHODS: This prospective randomized controlled study with a 12-month follow-up compared the results of cataract surgery with implantation of an aspheric AcrySof ReSTOR SN6AD3 IOL(30 eyes) and a spherical AcrySof ReSTOR SN60D3 IOL(30 eyes). CVA with best distance correction was measured at 4 contrast levels(100%,25%,10% and 5%) under 3 levels of chart luminance [250,85 and 25 candelas per square meter(cd/m2)] using a multi-functional visual acuity tester(MFVA-100). ·RESULTS: At 12 months after surgery,there were no statistically significant differences in 100% CVA and 25% CVA under 250cd/m2(P100% =0.875 and P25% =0.057) and 85cd/m2(P100% =0.198 and P25% =0.193) between the aspheric group and the spherical group. However,the 10% CVA and 5% CVA were significant better in aspheric group than spherical group under 250cd/m2(P10% =0.042 and P5% = 0.007) and 85cd/m2(P10% =0.002 and P5%=0.039). Under the luminance level of 25cd/m 2,no significant differences was found in the 100% CVA between the 2 group(P100% = 0.245),while aspheric group had better visual acuity in the remaining 3 contracts(P25% =0.023,P10% =0.026 and P5% = 0.002,respectively). ·CONCULSION: The aspheric AcrySof ReSTOR SN6AD3 IOL provided patients with better low-contrast visual acuity than the spherical AcrySof ReSTOR SN60D3 IOL. 展开更多

Visual saliency is an important cue in human visual system to identify salient region in the image;it can be useful in many applications including image retrieval,object recognition,image segmentation,etc.Image contrast has been used as an effective feature to detect visual salient region.However,the conventional contrast measures either in spectral domain or in spatial domain fail to give sufficient consideration towards the local and global characteristics of the image.This paper presents a visual saliency detection algorithm based on a novel contrast measurement.This measurement extracts the spectral information of image block using the 2D discrete Fourier transform(DFT),and combines with the total variation(TV)of image block in spatial domain.The proposed algorithm is used to perform salient region detection in the image,and compared with state-of-the-art algorithms.The experimental results from the MSRA dataset validate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. 展开更多

AIM:To compare visual performance of wavefrontguided laser in situ keratomileusis(LASIK) with iris-registration(Wg-LASIK group) and conventional LASIK(LASIK group) one year after surgery and analyze the correlation between wavefront aberrations and visual performance.·METHODS:Eight hundred and fifty-two myopic eyes of 430 patients were enrolled in this prospective study and divided into two groups:Wg-LASIK group(436eyes) and LASIK group(416 eyes).A Wavescan Wavefront aberrometer was used to analyze Zernike coefficients and the root-mean-square(RMS) of higher order aberrations,and Optec 6500 visual function instrument was used to measure contrast sensitivity(CS)before and 3,6,12 months after surgery.·RESULTS:The mean spherical equivalent(SE) in WgLASIK group was significantly better than those in LASIK group one year after surgery(P =0.024).Wg-LASIK eyes showed better CS values than LASIK eyes at all spatial frequencies with and without glare after surgery(P all【0.01).Moreover,the increase of higher RMS(RMSh),coma,RMS3,RMS4,RMS5 in Wg-LASIK group were significantly lower than those in LASIK group 1 year after surgery(P all 【0.05).The increase of coma,spherical aberration(SA),RMS3 and RMS4 in Wg-LASIK and coma and RMS3 in LASIK group were negatively correlated with reduction of contrast sensitivity 1 year after surgery.·CONCLUSION:A significant better visual performance is got in Wg-LASIK group compared with LASIK group 1year after surgery,and the Wg-LASIK is particularly suitable for eyes with high-magnitude RMSh. 展开更多

To investigate the effects of rigid-gas-permeable contact lens(RGP-CL)wear on Zernike astigmatism and visual performance in myopic eyes.Methods:A wavefront sensor was used to evaluate Zernike astigmatism for 21 eyes with minimum astigmatism and 18 eyes with moderate astigmatism under three different modes of refractive correction:the RGP-CL,spectacle lens correcting spherical equivalent(SL)and spectacle lens fully correcting spherical error and astigmatism(fSL).Contrast visual acuity was assessed with a VA tester at four contrast levels and two luminance backgrounds.Results:Compared to the SL wear,RGP-CL wear changed the main axis astigmatism(Z_(2)^(2))from0:09-0:34 to 0.34-0.22 for the minimum astigmatism group,while the contrast VA was improved about 0.05 LogMAR(F=8:06,p<0:01).For the group with moderate astigmatism,significant reduction in Z_(2)^(2)was found for both fSL wear(t=4:78,p<0:001)and RGP-CL wear(t=6:29,p<0:0001).The changes in astigmatism were significantly correlated between the fSL and RGP-CL wears(r=0:897,p<0:0001 for Z_(2)^(-2);and r=0:643,p=0:004 for Z_(2)^(2)).Contrast VA was significantly improved for both fSL and RGP-CL wears and the improvements were significantly correlated between each other for all four contrast levels and two backgrounds.Conclusion:RGP-CL wear induces astigmatism for the eyes with minor astigmatism probably due to a correction of corneal astigmatism and thus a manifesting of the lens astigmatism.For the astigmatic eyes,RGP-CL wear has similar effect on correcting astigmatism as the spectacle lens wear with spherical-cylinder correction and also produces similar visual improvement. 展开更多

Influence of degraded visual acuity from light-scattering goggles on obstacle gait

This study examined the effect on gait of de-grading visual input by simulation on a course with obstacles. Thirty healthy, young adult males walked on a 6 m path with three obstacles (height: 5, 10, 20 cm, width: 10 cm) set at inter-vals of 150 cm with and without degraded visual input from light-scattering goggles. Gait was examined with respect to time, length, angle and walk speed parameters. Gait changed signifi-cantly in the degraded visual input condition. The distances between the obstacles and foot before the obstacles were significantly larger in 10 and 20 cm obstacles under the degraded visual input condition, but distances after passing the obstacle had no significant difference among obstacle height. We therefore conclude that a decrease of visual function alters the perception of an obstacle’s height, particularly the 5 cm height obstacle. 展开更多

Clinical Psychophysical Assessment of the ON- and OFF-Systems of the Magnocellular and Parvocellular Visual Pathways

We developed a psychophysical paradigm for the clinical assessment of the contrast sensitivity (CS) mediated by the ON- and OFF-systems of the Magnocellular and Parvocellular pathways. We designed a stimulus considering two dimensions: two spatial frequencies (0.5 and 4.5 cpd) and two temporal rates of flicker (33 ms and 1500 ms). To evidence the ON- and OFF responses, the CS was measured for two polarities of light with luminance changes of 0.6 dB steps above and below the medium luminance grey background. We tested 38 healthy volunteers. The results shows that Magnocellular contrast sensitivity was higher than Parvocellular for the 33 ms flickering stimulus and the Parvocellular contrast sensitivity was higher than Magnocellular for 1500 ms stimuli. The reliability of the test was checked and confirmed. We concluded that the test performs a rapid measurement of the CS mediated by the ON and OFF systems of Magnocellular and Parvocellular pathways. It is useful in clinical protocols due to its high sensitivity and good reliability. 展开更多

In the first process, quality map of image is measured locally. In the second process, the last quality score is converted from the quality map by using the pooling strategy. The first process had been made effective and significant progresses, while the second process was always done in simple ways. In the second process of the pooling strategy, the optimal perceptual pooling weights should be determined and computed according to Human Visual System (HVS). Thus, a reliable spatial pooling mathematical model based on HVS is an important issue worthy of study. In this paper, a new Visual Perceptual Pooling Strategy (VPPS) for IQA is presented based on contrast sensitivity and luminance sensitivity of HVS. Experimental results with the LIVE database show that the visual perceptual weights, obtained by the proposed pooling strategy, can effectively and significantly improve the performances of the IQA metrics with Mean Structural SIMilarity (MSSIM) or Phase Quantization Code (PQC). It is confirmed that the proposed VPPS demonstrates promising results for improving the performances of existing IQA metrics. 展开更多

Correlation between visual function and refractive,topographic, pachymetric and aberrometric data in eyes with keratoconus

AIMTo analyze the relationship between two visual functions and refractive, topographic, pachymetric and aberrometric indicators in eyes with keratoconus.METHODSCorrected distance visual acuity (CDVA), and letter contrast sensitivity (CS) were correlated with refraction, corneal topography, pachymetry, and total corneal wavefront data prospectively in 71 eyes with keratoconus. The topographic indices assessed were simulated keratometry for the flattest and steepest meridians (SimK1 and SimK2), posterior steeper K (Ks), elevation value in best-fit sphere (BFS) maps, squared eccentricity (&#x00404;<sup>2</sup>), aspheric asymmetric index (AAI), pachymetry, thickness progression index (TPI), the amount of pachymetric decentralization (APD), and GalileiTM-keratoconus indices.RESULTSThe mean CDVA (expressed as logMAR) were 0.25&#x000b1;0.21. The mean CS was 1.25&#x000b1;0.46. The spherical refraction correlated well with CDVA (r=-0.526, P&#x0003c;0.001). From topographic indices, SRI correlated with CS (r=-0.695), and IAI with CS (r=-0.672) (P&#x0003c;0.001 for all). Root mean square (RMS) was 4.3&#x000b1;1.81 &#x000b5;m, spherical aberration (SA) was -0.4&#x000b1;0.67 &#x000b5;m, vertical and horizontal coma were -2.1&#x000b1;1.47 and -0.4&#x000b1;0.72 &#x000b5;m. All wavefront data (except horizontal coma), AAI, &#x00404;<sup>2</sup> and maximum BFS correlated significantly with the visual function (P&#x02264;0.001 for all).CONCLUSIONIn this study, CS is more affected than CDVA as a visual function. The quantity and quality of vision is significantly correlated with well-known and new topographic indices. There is not a significant correlation between visual function and pachymetric parameters. The significantly correlated indices can be used in staging keratoconus and to follow the outcome of a treatment. 展开更多

目前我国中小学教室中的视觉舒适度评价研究并不充分,有研究指出使用眩光指标不能较好地反映问题。本研究计划根据中小学教室的空间形态、采光方式以及学生视看行为的典型特点及规律,开展针对性的调查分析提出一个有效的视觉舒适度评价... 目前我国中小学教室中的视觉舒适度评价研究并不充分,有研究指出使用眩光指标不能较好地反映问题。本研究计划根据中小学教室的空间形态、采光方式以及学生视看行为的典型特点及规律,开展针对性的调查分析提出一个有效的视觉舒适度评价模型。首先,从问卷调查入手掌握导致学生视觉不舒适的主因。其次,基于调查结果设计测试室实验开展主观评价,找出最有效的指标及其标准值。最后,提出一套完整的面向模拟仿真的中小学教室视觉舒适度评价模型。研究发现,黑板面范围内的干扰反射光是决定教室视觉舒适度的主因,而亮度对比度可以有效地反映干扰光的影响程度。本研究最终提出使用黑板面范围内高对比度出现概率超过75%的面积占比分析教室内的视觉舒适度。 展开更多

Enhanced Contrast of Reconstructed Image for Image Secret Sharing Scheme Using Mathematical Morphology

Visual secret sharing (VSS) is one of the cryptographic techniques of Image secret sharing scheme (ISSS) that performs encoding of secret message image (text or picture) into noise like black and white images, which are called as shares. Shares are stacked together and secret message image is decoded using human visual system. One of the major drawbacks of this scheme is its poor contrast of the recovered image, which improves if computational device is available while decoding. In this paper, we propose to improve poor contrast of classical VSS schemes for text or alphanumeric secret messages and low entropy images. Initially, stacked image is binarized using dynamic threshold value. A mathematical morphological operation is applied on the stacked image to enhance contrast of the reconstructed image. Moreover, a method is proposed that allows the size of the structuring element to change according to the contrast and the size of a stacked image. We perform experiments for different types of VSS schemes, different share patterns, different share types (rectangle and circle), and low entropy images. Experimental results demonstrate the efficacy of the proposed scheme. 展开更多

为评估直接反射在线可视铁谱(OLVF)暗场显微成像特性,提出了一种磨粒暗场显微成像模型。基于朗伯余弦和光后向散射理论建立了直接反射OLVF显微成像系统的反射光辐照度叠加模型,以实现磨粒暗场显微成像质量的定量评价;仿真计算互补金属... 为评估直接反射在线可视铁谱(OLVF)暗场显微成像特性,提出了一种磨粒暗场显微成像模型。基于朗伯余弦和光后向散射理论建立了直接反射OLVF显微成像系统的反射光辐照度叠加模型,以实现磨粒暗场显微成像质量的定量评价;仿真计算互补金属氧化物半导体(CMOS)像面的反差透视比,分析了光学倍率、油液衰减系数和后向散射角变化对磨粒暗场显微成像清晰度的影响规律,确定了磨粒暗场显微成像的最优光学倍率为2.2和油液衰减系数大于2.0;明确CMOS像面的反差透视比在0.210~0.846范围内变化,直接反射OLVF可通过暗场显微成像获得较高清晰度的磨粒图像,其磨粒探测精度约为10μm。磨粒图像采集实验测试结果表明:直接反射OLVF暗场显微成像不仅能够从油液衰减系数大于2.28的原油、柴油机油中可靠捕获磨粒视觉信息,而且可从油液衰减系数小于2.0的液压油、齿轮油中获取磨粒谱片图像,解决了不同油液中金属磨粒探测问题,为在线监测采油装备磨损提供了可能性。 展开更多

当前的无监督对比学习方法主要依赖纯文本信息来构建句子嵌入,在全面理解句子所表达的深层含义时存在局限性。同时,传统的对比学习方法过于注重最大化文本正实例之间的互信息,忽视了句子嵌入中潜在的噪声干扰。为了既能保留文本中的有... 当前的无监督对比学习方法主要依赖纯文本信息来构建句子嵌入,在全面理解句子所表达的深层含义时存在局限性。同时,传统的对比学习方法过于注重最大化文本正实例之间的互信息,忽视了句子嵌入中潜在的噪声干扰。为了既能保留文本中的有用信息,又能有效地剔除文本嵌入中的噪声干扰,该文提出了一种基于文本-视觉和信息熵最小化的对比学习模型。首先,将文本与对应的视觉信息在对比学习的框架下进行深度融合,共同映射到一个统一的地面空间,并确保它们的表示在该空间中保持一致,从而克服了仅依赖纯文本信息进行句子嵌入学习的限制,使得对比学习过程更加全面且精确;然后,遵循信息最小化原则,在最大化文本正实例间互信息的同时,基于信息熵最小化对文本正实例进行重构。在标准语义文本相似度(STS)任务上的实验结果表明,所提出的模型在Spearman相关系数评价指标上取得了显著提升,相较于现有先进方法具有显著的优势,同时也证明了该模型的有效性。 展开更多

图文跨模态实体链接是对传统实体链接任务的扩展,其输入为包含实体的图像,目标是将其链接到文本模态的知识库实体上.现有模型通常采用双编码器架构,将图像、文本模态的实体分别编码为向量,利用点乘计算两者的相似度,从而链接到与图像实... 图文跨模态实体链接是对传统实体链接任务的扩展,其输入为包含实体的图像,目标是将其链接到文本模态的知识库实体上.现有模型通常采用双编码器架构,将图像、文本模态的实体分别编码为向量,利用点乘计算两者的相似度,从而链接到与图像实体相似度最高的文本实体.其训练过程通常采用基于Info NCE损失的对比学习任务,即提高一个实体某模态与自身另一模态的向量相似度,降低与其他实体另一模态的向量相似度.然而此模型忽视了图文2个模态内部表示难度的差异:图像模态中的相似实体,通常比文本模态中的相似实体更难以区分,导致外观相似的图像实体很容易链接错误.因此,提出2个新的对比学习任务来提升向量的判别能力.一个是自对比学习,用于提升图像向量之间的区分度;另一个是难负例对比学习,让文本向量更容易区分几个相似的图像向量.在开源数据集Wiki Person上进行实验,在12万规模的实体库上,相比于采用Info NCE损失的最佳基线模型,模型正确率提升了4.5个百分点. 展开更多

为了解决矿井复杂环境下外因火灾监测误报率和漏报率较高的问题,提出基于红外视觉特征融合的矿井外因火灾监测算法。首先,改进红外小目标检测的局部对比度度量(LCM)模型,提高早期火灾目标的显著度,进而分割出火灾疑似区域;其次,通过分... 为了解决矿井复杂环境下外因火灾监测误报率和漏报率较高的问题,提出基于红外视觉特征融合的矿井外因火灾监测算法。首先,改进红外小目标检测的局部对比度度量(LCM)模型,提高早期火灾目标的显著度,进而分割出火灾疑似区域;其次,通过分析不同监视场景下外因火灾和主要干扰热源在热红外图像序列中的视觉特征,选出抗干扰能力强的火灾显著特征;然后,优选火灾显著特征提取方法和相似度估计策略,以获取热红外图像序列中火灾疑似区域的主要视觉特征,并构建火灾特征向量;最后,通过建立特征向量集,构建基于支持向量机(SVM)的矿井外因火灾检测模型,对所提算法进行验证。结果表明:所提算法不仅能监测不同场景下的外因火灾,还能够监测远距离和早期阶段的外因火灾,其正确率和检测率分别达到96.93%、96.24%,误检率低至2.56%;相较于对比算法,所提算法在火灾监测的准确率、误报率和漏报率方面均有较大的改善。 展开更多

大型视觉语言模型(LVLM)在理解视觉信息和运用语言表达方面展现出了非凡的能力.然而,在LVLM进行问答的过程中,它通常受到物体幻觉问题的困扰,具体表现为生成的文本内容看似合理,但实际上却与图片中的信息不相符,造成了文本与图片之间的... 大型视觉语言模型(LVLM)在理解视觉信息和运用语言表达方面展现出了非凡的能力.然而,在LVLM进行问答的过程中,它通常受到物体幻觉问题的困扰,具体表现为生成的文本内容看似合理,但实际上却与图片中的信息不相符,造成了文本与图片之间的不匹配现象.为解决这一问题,本文通过实验发现,物体注意力的缺失是导致物体幻觉的关键因素.为缓解此问题,本文引入了图像对比增强方法(ICE).ICE是一种无需训练、操作简便的方法,通过对比原始视觉输入与增强视觉输入所产生的输出分布,有效提升模型对图片的感知能力,确保生成的内容与视觉输入紧密契合,从而生成上下文一致且准确的输出.实验结果显示,ICE方法在无需额外训练或外部工具的情况下,便能显著减轻不同LVLM的物体幻觉问题,并在大型视觉语言模型基准MME测试中同样表现出色,验证了其广泛的适用性和有效性.本文代码链接:ChangGuiyong/ICE. 展开更多

多区正向光学离焦镜片对双眼视功能和视觉质量影响的随机双盲对照研究 被引量:1

目的评估配戴多区正向光学离焦(DIMS)镜片对近视儿童双眼视功能和视觉质量的影响。方法采用随机双盲对照研究方法,于2021年1月至2022年3月在四川大学华西医院招募6~15岁近视儿童176例352眼。采用随机数字表法将其分为DIMS组85例170眼和... 目的评估配戴多区正向光学离焦(DIMS)镜片对近视儿童双眼视功能和视觉质量的影响。方法采用随机双盲对照研究方法,于2021年1月至2022年3月在四川大学华西医院招募6~15岁近视儿童176例352眼。采用随机数字表法将其分为DIMS组85例170眼和单光组91例182眼,分别配戴DIMS和单光镜片,最终完成随访并纳入分析者共151例302眼,其中DIMS组72例144眼,单光组79例158眼。在戴镜前和戴镜后6、12个月分别测量受试者的调节幅度、调节灵敏度、远/近水平眼位、调节性集合与调节比值(AC/A),分析2个组受试者戴镜1年的视功能变化。每次随访均测量受试者主观对比敏感度(CS),客观评估镜片对视觉质量的影响。结果2个组戴镜前后不同时间点单眼调节幅度、双眼调节灵敏度总体比较差异均有统计学意义(Waldχ^(2)_(时间)=84.435、48.201,均P<0.001),其中2个组戴镜后6和12个月单眼调节幅度均较戴镜前下降,双眼调节灵敏度均较戴镜前增加,差异均有统计学意义(均P<0.001)。戴镜后12个月,DIMS组和单光组单眼调节幅度分别较戴镜前下降2.68 D(95%CI:1.60~3.75 D)和2.82 D(95%CI:1.81~3.84 D)。2个组戴镜前后不同时间点远水平眼位和近水平眼位总体比较差异均有统计学意义(Waldχ^(2)_(时间)=10.398、23.947,均P<0.01),其中,戴镜后12个月DIMS组远水平眼位较戴镜前向外漂移0.68^(△)(95%CI:0.06~1.25^(△)),差异有统计学意义(P<0.05);DIMS组和单光组近水平眼位分别较戴镜前向外漂移1.67^(△)(95%CI:0.15~3.20^(△))和1.73^(△)(95%CI:0.49~2.96^(△)),差异均有统计学意义(均P<0.05)。2个组戴镜前后不同时间点梯度性AC/A值和计算性AC/A值总体比较差异均有统计学意义(Waldχ^(2)_(时间)=22.001、13.411,均P<0.01),其中2个组戴镜后12个月梯度性AC/A值均较戴镜前降低,单光组戴镜后12个月计算性AC/A值较戴镜前降低,差异均有统计学意义(均P<0.05)。2个组间调节幅度、调节灵敏度、远水平眼位、近水平眼位、梯度性AC/A值和计算性AC/A值总体比较,差异均无统计学意义(Waldχ^(2)_(组别)=2.385、2.266、2.070、0.571、0.578、0.053,均P>0.05)。2个组戴镜前后不同时间点在3、6、12、18 cpd空间频率下的CS总体比较,差异均无统计学意义(Waldχ^(2)_(组别)=1.104、2.263、1.861、3.671,均P>0.05;Waldχ^(2)_(时间)=2.260、5.382、2.573、1.637,均P>0.05)。结论配戴DIMS镜片后视功能表现与配戴单光镜片表现一致,对儿童长期视觉质量无明显不利影响。 展开更多

基于RF-SHAP多因素耦合的隧道动态光环境视觉功效响应机制

隧道不同区段的光环境差异会使驾驶人视场环境发生变化,引起驾驶人信息感知错误,威胁行车安全,且视场对比度的动态变化易诱发视觉疲劳与感知能力降低。为揭示隧道动态光环境中视场对比度及其梯度变化对驾驶人视觉功效的影响机制,通过多... 隧道不同区段的光环境差异会使驾驶人视场环境发生变化,引起驾驶人信息感知错误,威胁行车安全,且视场对比度的动态变化易诱发视觉疲劳与感知能力降低。为揭示隧道动态光环境中视场对比度及其梯度变化对驾驶人视觉功效的影响机制,通过多因素控制试验(目标位置、颜色、亮度、视场对比度耦合控制),构建“视场对比度动态梯度-视觉功效响应”耦合分析框架,并创新引入RF-SHAP(random forest-Shapley additive explanation)可解释机器学习算法解析多参数非线性作用。结果表明:1)视场对比度存在拐点效应,入口段视场对比度为0.2~0.4时可缩短反应时间20.5%,视场对比度由0.4提升到0.6时仅缩短反应时间2.3%。2)亮度与视场对比度存在强交互效应,中间段背景亮度提升至8.75 cd/m^(2)时可补偿低视场对比度视觉信号,目标识别成功率达70%(较背景亮度为4.50 cd/m^(2)时提升30%)。3)视野边缘(30°位置)环境敏感性高于中心区(5°位置),低视场对比度(0.2)与高亮度(6000 cd/m^(2))在视野边缘(30°位置)叠加时,反应时间最大增幅达53.1%。4)暖色调目标(红色)较冷色(蓝色)识别效率提升14.2%,尤其在低视场对比度(0.1)时色差影响最显著。5)RF-SHAP模型揭示了视场对比度与亮度为视觉功效主导因子,且存在U形影响曲线,验证了动态光环境参数阈值的工程适用性。 展开更多
