The early involvement of test and evaluation can significantly reduce the cost of modifying issues and errors found in the later stages of aircraft development and design process.This paper presents a methodology for ...The early involvement of test and evaluation can significantly reduce the cost of modifying issues and errors found in the later stages of aircraft development and design process.This paper presents a methodology for aircraft mission effectiveness evaluation and design space exploration based on Virtual Operational Test(VOT),incorporating Virtual Open Scenario(VOS)and User in Scenarios(UIS)concepts.By employing modeling and simulation technologies in the early stages of aircraft development and design,a virtual environment can be constructed,allowing aircraft users to participate more closely and conveniently in the design process.Virtual tests conducted by users within the mission context provide data on mission effectiveness and critical user feedback.This paper outlines the main components of the virtual operational test process and related conceptual methods,and discusses an open support system framework that supports VOT.The effectiveness and adaptability of the method are demonstrated through two case studies:a beyond-visual-range air combat scenario and a helicopter ground attack scenario.These case studies demonstrate the evaluation of aircraft mission effectiveness and the sensitivity analysis and optimization of design and operational parameters based on VOT.展开更多
This article describes a case we experienced in which good postsurgical facial profiles were obtained for a patient with jaw deformities associated with facial asymmetry,by implementing surgical planning with SimPlant...This article describes a case we experienced in which good postsurgical facial profiles were obtained for a patient with jaw deformities associated with facial asymmetry,by implementing surgical planning with SimPlant OMS.Using this method,we conducted LF1 osteotomy,intraoral vertical ramus osteotomy（IVRO）,sagittal split ramus osteotomy（SSRO）,mandibular constriction and mandibular border genioplasty.Not only did we obtain a class I occlusal relationship,but the complicated surgery also improved the asymmetry of the frontal view,as well as of the profile view,of the patient.The virtual operation using three-dimensional computed tomography（3D-CT）could be especially useful for the treatment of patients with jaw deformities associated with facial asymmetry.展开更多

Firstly, the system framework and a rapid modeling method of CNC machine tool are studied under the virtual environment based on PolyTrans and CAD software. Then, a new method is proposed to enhance and expand the interactive ability of virtual reality modeling language（VRML） by attaining communication among VRML, JavaApplet, JavaScript and Html so as to realize the virtual operation for CNC machine tool. Moreover, the algorithm of material removed simulation based on VRML Z-map is presented. The advantages of this algorithm include less memory requirement and much higher computation.
