Many approaches have been proposed to recognize fishing activities with VMS trajectories based on the types of fishing vessels. However, one research problem is still calling for solutions, how to identify the fishing vessel type based on only VMS trajectories. This problem is important because it requires the fishing vessel type as a preliminary to recognize fishing activities from VMS trajectories. This paper proposes fishing vessel type identification scheme(FVID) based only on VMS trajectories. FVID exploits feature engineering and machine learning schemes of XGBoost as its two key blocks and classifies fishing vessels into nine types. The dataset contains all the fishing vessel trajectories in the East China Sea in March 2017, including 10031 pre-registered fishing vessels and 1350 unregistered vessels of unknown types. In order to verify type identification accuracy, we first conduct a 4-fold cross-validation on the trajectories of registered fishing vessels. The classification accuracy is 95.42%. We then apply FVID to the unregistered fishing vessels to identify their types. After classifying the unregistered fishing vessel types, their fishing activities are further recognized based upon their types. At last, we calculate and compare the fishing density distribution in the East China Sea before and after applying the unregistered fishing vessels, confirming the importance of type identification of unregistered fishing vessels.展开更多

We report a 41-year-old patient with a type B aortic dissection (Stanford) who underwent successful three-vessel percutaneous coronary intervention via the right radial artery approach following a non-ST elevation myocardial infarction. The patient remained asymptomatic at 6 mo follow-up. Trans-radial approach for coronary interventions can be used safely in patients with Stanford type B aortic dissection without increasing the risk of procedure-related complications in this high-risk group of patients.展开更多

They were randomly divided as the control group and the therapeutic group, 50 cases each. For control group, Enalapril tablets were administered by mouth for treatment. For therapeutic group, folic acid and vitamin B12 treatment were provided on the basis of treatment for control group. Treatments were continued for 12 weeks. Plasma Hcy levels, inflammatory factors [(interleukin-6 (IL-6), interleukin-8 (IL-8) and hypersensitive C reaction protein (hs-CRP)], blood vessels endothelial function indexes variation in patients before and after treatment were observed and detected. Results:Plasma Hcy, IL-6, IL-8 and hs-CRP levels in two groups of patients after treatment were significantly decreased comparing with the same group before treatment, and the above index levels in therapeutic group after treatment were significantly lower than control group (P<0.05);For comparison of blood vessels endothelial function indexes in the patients, NO levels in two groups after treatment were increased in various degrees, and endothelin-1 (ET-1) were decreased. The differences between levels of the two indexes in therapeutic group before and after treatment were significant, and levels after treatment in therapeutic group were significantly better than in control group (P<0.05). While variations of the differences in control group before and after treatment were not significant (P>0.05);After treatment, diastolic pressure and systolic pressure in the two groups of patients were significantly improved comparing with before treatment (P<0.05). However, after treatment, the differences of levels between therapeutic group and control group were not significant (P>0.05). MMSE score in therapeutic group after treatment was significantly higher than before treatment, and significantly higher than in control group (P<0.05).Conclusions: Combined therapy of folic acid and vitamin B12 for treating vascular dementia with type H hypertension could effectively decrease plasma Hcy and inflammatory factor levels, and improve blood vessels endothelial function and dementia degree on patients. It has certain clinical value which deserves to be promoted.展开更多

Meningeal lymphatic vessels not only play a key role in the drainage of brain metabolites but also contribute to antigen delivery and immune cell activation. The advent of novel genomic technologies has enabled rapid progress in the characterization of myeloid and lymphoid cells and their interactions with meningeal lymphatic vessels within the central nervous system. In this review, we provide an overview of the multifaceted roles of meningeal lymphatic vessels within the context of the central nervous system immune network, highlighting recent discoveries on the immunological niche provided by meningeal lymphatic vessels. Furthermore, we delve into the mechanisms of crosstalk between meningeal lymphatic vessels and immune cells in the central nervous system under both homeostatic conditions and neurodegenerative diseases, discussing how these interactions shape the pathological outcomes. Regulation of meningeal lymphatic vessel function and structure can influence lymphatic drainage, cerebrospinal fluid-borne immune modulators, and immune cell populations in aging and neurodegenerative disorders, thereby playing a key role in shaping meningeal and brain parenchyma immunity.展开更多

Methods: Retinopathy grading and vessel diameter measurement using digital fundus photographs in women with diabetes type 1 taken no more than one year before conception, during week 10 and/or 22, week 34, and within one year after delivery. Calibers were measured using a custom-developed semi-automated computer algorithm which identified the six largest arteries and six largest veins and calculated the central retinal artery equivalent (CRAE) and central vein equivalent (CRVE) diameters. Glycemic control was assessed quarterly by HbA1c. Systolic and diastolic blood pressure was assessed at week 10, 22 and 34. Results: Photographs at baseline, weeks 10, 22, 34 and after delivery were available in 28 patients, of whom 24 did not progress in retinopathy. For those whose level of retinopathy remained stable CRAE constricted from 138.80 ± 21.27 μm at baseline to 129.88 ± 13.97 μm at week 10 (p = 0.0379) CRVE constricted from 195.16 ± 24.98 μm at baseline to 185.97 ± 21.96 μm at week 10 (p = 0.0400). The patients with retinopathy progression had a CRAE of 131.67 ± 13.37 μm at baseline and 132.08 ± 11.07 μm at week 10 (p = 0.34) while CRVE was 195.33 ± 24.92 μm at baseline and 204.27 ± 10.18 μm at week 10 (p = 0.16). Progressors had higher blood pressures at week 10. Conclusion: Retinal vessels constricted between prepregnancy and first trimester in women who did not experience diabetic retinopathy progression. The study suggests that the vessels constriction seen in early pregnancy contributes to reduce the risk of gestational microvascular complications and progression of diabetes in the eye.展开更多

文摘Cerebral small vessel disease encompasses a group of neurological disorders characterized by injury to small blood vessels, often leading to stroke and dementia.Due to its diverse etiologies and complex pathological mechanisms, preventing and treating cerebral small vessel vasculopathy is challenging.Recent studies have shown that the glymphatic system plays a crucial role in interstitial solute clearance and the maintenance of brain homeostasis.Increasing evidence also suggests that dysfunction in glymphatic clearance is a key factor in the progression of cerebral small vessel disease. This review begins with a comprehensive introduction to the structure, function, and driving factors of the glymphatic system, highlighting its essential role in brain waste clearance.Afterwards, cerebral small vessel disease was reviewed from the perspective of the glymphatic system, after which the mechanisms underlying their correlation were summarized.Glymphatic dysfunction may lead to the accumulation of metabolic waste in the brain, thereby exacerbating the pathological processes associated with cerebral small vessel disease. The review also discussed the direct evidence of glymphatic dysfunction in patients and animal models exhibiting two subtypes of cerebral small vessel disease:arteriolosclerosis-related cerebral small vessel disease and amyloid-related cerebral small vessel disease.Diffusion tensor image analysis along the perivascular space is an important non-invasive tool for assessing the clearance function of the glymphatic system. However, the effectiveness of its parameters needs to be enhanced.Among various nervous system diseases, including cerebral small vessel disease, glymphatic failure may be a common final pathway toward dementia.Overall, this review summarizes prevention and treatment strategies that target glymphatic drainage and will offer valuable insight for developing novel treatments for cerebral small vessel disease.

文摘Vessel Monitoring System(VMS) provides a new opportunity for quantified fishing research. At last, we calculate and compare the fishing density distribution in the East China Sea before and after applying the unregistered fishing vessels, confirming the importance of type identification of unregistered fishing vessels.

文摘BACKGROUND The Borrmann classification system is used to describe the macroscopic appearance of advanced gastric cancer, and Borrmann typeⅣdisease is independently associated with a poor prognosis.AIM To evaluate the prognostic significance of lymphatic and/or blood vessel invasion(LBVI)combined with the Borrmann type in advanced proximal gastric cancer(APGC).METHODS The clinicopathological and survival data of 440 patients with APGC who underwent curative surgery between 2005 and 2012 were retrospectively analyzed.RESULTS In these 440 patients,LBVI+status was associated with Borrmann typeⅣ,low histological grade, large tumor size, and advanced pT and pN status. The 5-year survival rate of LBVI+patients was significantly lower than that of LBVI– patients, although LBVI was not an independent prognostic factor in the multivariate analysis. No significant difference in the prognosis of patients with Borrmann typeⅢ/LBVI+disease and patients with Borrmann typeⅣdisease was observed. Therefore,we proposed a revised Borrmann typeⅣ(r-BorⅣ)as Borrmann typeⅢplus LBVI+,and found that r-BorⅣwas associated with poor prognosis in patients with APGC,which outweighed the prognostic significance of pT status.CONCLUSION LBVI is related to the prognosis of APGC,but is not an independent prognostic factor.LBVI status can be used to differentiate Borrmann typesⅢandⅣ,and the same approach can be used to treat r-BorⅣand Borrmann typeⅣ.

文摘As energy crisis and environment pollution all around the world threaten the widespread use of fossil fuels, compressed natural gas(CNG)vehicles are explored as an alternative to the conventional gasoline powered vehicles.Because of the limited space available for the car,the composite pressure vessel(TypeⅡ)has been applied to the CNG vehicles to reach large capacity and weight lightening vehicles.High pressure vessel(TypeⅡ)is composed of a composite layer and a metal liner. The metal liner is formed by the deep drawing and ironing(D.D.I.)process,which is a complex process of deep drawing and ironing. The cylinder part is reinforced by composite layer wrapped through the filament winding process and is bonded to the liner by the curing process. In this study,an integrated design method was presented by establishing the techniques for FE analysis of entire processes(D.D.I.,filament winding and curing processes)to manufacture the CNG composite pressure vessel(TypeⅡ).Dimensions of the dies and the punches of the 1 st(cup drawing),2 nd(redrawing-ironing 1-ironing 2)and 3 rd(redrawing-ironing)stages were calculated theoretically, and shape of tractrix die to be satisfied with the minimum forming load was suggested for life improvement and manufacturing costs in the D.D.I.process.Thickness of the composite material was determined in the filament winding process, finally, conditions of the curing process(number of heating stage, curing temperature, heating rate and time)were proposed to reinforce adhesive strength between the composite layers.

文摘Aimed at the problem of short life of mixing head in KR mechanical mixing method for desulfurization of hot metal,a new type of mixing stir was proposed.CFD theory was used to simulate the characteristics of the fluid flow for the new type of stirring vessel of water model for KR mechanical desulfurization.Flow characteristics and structures of the flow field were investigated and compared with the traditional cross-flow type. The results show that the new type of impeller can not only improve the defects of the flow caused by stir structure of the traditional type, but also reduce the separation of mixing zone in the stirred tank and make the flow field more uniform to make the desulfurization more fully, thus shortening the mixing time, and improving the life of mixing head.Numerical simulation method has been proven to be sound by comparing with the experimental ones.
文摘Patients with chronic aortic dissections are at high risk of catheter-induced complications. We report a 41-year-old patient with a type B aortic dissection (Stanford) who underwent successful three-vessel percutaneous coronary intervention via the right radial artery approach following a non-ST elevation myocardial infarction. The patient remained asymptomatic at 6 mo follow-up. Trans-radial approach for coronary interventions can be used safely in patients with Stanford type B aortic dissection without increasing the risk of procedure-related complications in this high-risk group of patients.

文摘BACKGROUND Borrmann classification(types I-IV)for the detection of advanced gastric cancer has been accepted worldwide, and lymphatic and/or blood vessel invasion(LBVI)status is related to the poor prognosis after gastric cancer.AIM To evaluate the significance of Borrmann type combined with LBVI status in predicting the prognosis of advanced gastric cancer.METHODS We retrospectively studied the clinicopathological characteristics and long-term survival data of 2604 patients who were diagnosed with advanced gastric adenocarcinoma at Harbin Medical University Cancer Hospital from January 2009 to December 2013.Categorical variables were evaluated by the Pearson’sχ^2 test, the Kaplan-Meier method was used to identify differences in cumulative survival rates, and the Cox proportional hazards model was used for multivariate prognostic analysis.RESULTS A total of 2604 patients were included in this study. The presence of LVBI[LBVI(+)]and Borrmann type(P=0.001),tumor location(P<0.001),tumor size(P<0.001),histological type(P<0.001),tumor invasion depth(P<0.001),number of metastatic lymph nodes(P<0.001),and surgical method(P<0.001)were significantly correlated with survival. When analyzing the combination of the Borrmann classification and LBVI status,we found that patients with Borrmann type Ⅲ disease and LBVI(+)had a similar 5-year survival rate to those with Borrmann IV+LBVI(-)(16.4%vs 13.1%,P=0.065)and those with Borrmann IV+LBVI(+)(16.4%vs 11.2%,P=0.112).Subgroup analysis showed that the above results were true for any pT stage and any tumor location.Multivariate Cox regression analysis showed that Borrmann classification(P=0.023),vascular infiltration(P<0.001),tumor size(P=0.012),pT stage(P<0.001),pN stage(P<0.001),and extent of radical surgery(P<0.001)were independent prognostic factors for survival.CONCLUSION Since patients with Borrmann Ⅲ disease and LBVI(+)have the same poor prognosis as those with Borrmann IV disease, more attention should be paid to patients with Borrmann Ⅲ disease and LBVI(+)during diagnosis and treatment, regardless of the pT stage and tumor location,to obtain better survival results.
文摘BACKGROUND At present, there is controversy on the role of microvessel density(MVD)in tumors as a prognostic indicator of bladder transitional cell carcinoma(BTCC).However, the MVD in tumors is simply classified based on the expression of several different vascular markers, which has not been related to analytical research on the prognosis of patients with BTCC.AIM To explore the classification of blood vessels in tumors and studied the relationship between MVD and the prognosis of patients with BTCC.METHODS The tissue mass was detected by tissue microarray and immunohistochemical analysis with monoclonal antibodies against CD31,CD34,CD105,and vascular smooth muscle actin to investigate the MVD in BTCC.The measurement data are expressed as the mean±SD.The difference between the groups was analyzed by the t-test,the counting data were analyzed byχ2 test. The Kaplan-Meier survival curve was estimated by the product-limit method. The log-rank time-series test was employed to compare the tumor-free survival curves.RESULTS The MVD was closely related to the pathological grade, invasive depth, and prognosis of BTCC.Significant differences were found between grade I and grade II,grade II and grade III,superficial and invasive type, and the tumor-free survival group and the recurrence or metastasis group(P<0.01).Multivariate analysis showed that undifferentiated MVD was an independent prognostic factor for patient survival time.An inverse correlation between undifferentiated tumor MVD and differentiated tumor MVD in BTCC was also shown.CONCLUSION The classification of blood vessels in BTCC could act as an important prognostic indicator and may also be of great significance in the treatment of cancer.
文摘Objective:To investigate influence of folic acid and vitamin B12 combined therapy on plasma homocysteine (Hcy) level, blood vessels endothelial function and inflammatory factors in patients with vascular dementia and type H hypertension.Methods:100 cases of patients with vascular dementia and type H hypertension accorded with the inclusion criteria were selected as research objects. It has certain clinical value which deserves to be promoted.

文摘Meningeal lymphatic vessels form a relationship between the nervous system and periphery, which is relevant in both health and disease. Regulation of meningeal lymphatic vessel function and structure can influence lymphatic drainage, cerebrospinal fluid-borne immune modulators, and immune cell populations in aging and neurodegenerative disorders, thereby playing a key role in shaping meningeal and brain parenchyma immunity.

文摘BACKGROUND Type Ⅱ diabetes mellitus(T2DM)has been associated with increased risk of colon cancer(CC)and worse prognosis in patients with metastases. The effects of T2DM on postoperative chemoresistance rate(CRR)and long-term disease-free survival(DFS)and overall survival(OS)in patients with stage Ⅲ CC who receive curative resection remain controversial.AIM To investigate whether T2DM or glycemic control is associated with worse postoperative survival outcomes in stage Ⅲ CC.METHODS This retrospective cohort study included 278 patients aged 40-75 years who underwent surgery for stage Ⅲ CC from 2018 to 2021.Based on preoperative T2DM history, the patients were categorized into non-DM(n=160)and DM groups(n=118).The latter was further divided into well-controlled(n=73)and poorly controlled(n=45)groups depending on the status of glycemic control.DFS,OS,and CRR were compared between the groups and Cox regression analysis was used to identify risk factors.RESULTS Patients in the DM and non-DM groups demonstrated similar DFS,OS,and CRR(DFS:72.03%vs 78.75%,P=0.178;OS:81.36%vs 83.12%,P=0.638;CRR:14.41%vs 7.5%,P=0.063).Poorly controlled DM was associated with a significantly worse prognosis and higher CRR than well-controlled DM(DFS:62.22%vs 78.07%,P=0.021;OS:71.11%vs 87.67%,P=0.011;CRR:24.40%vs 8.22%,P=0.015).High preoperative fasting plasma glucose[DFS:Hazard ratio(HR)=2.684,P<0.001;OS:HR=2.105,P=0.019;CRR:HR=2.214,P=0.005]and glycosylated hemoglobin levels(DFS:HR=2.344,P=0.006;OS:HR=2.119,P=0.021;CRR:HR=2.449,P=0.009)indicated significantly poor prognosis and high CRR,while T2DM history did not(DFS:HR=1.178,P=0.327;OS:HR=0.933,P=0.739;CRR:HR=0.997,P=0.581).CONCLUSION Increased preoperative fasting plasma glucose and glycosylated hemoglobin levels, but not T2DM history, were identified as risk factors associated with poor postoperative outcomes and high CRR in patients with stage Ⅲ CC.
文摘Objective: Investigate how pregnancy-induced hormonal and hemodynamic changes affect retinal vessels caliber dynamic and the course of diabetic retinopathy. The study suggests that the vessels constriction seen in early pregnancy contributes to reduce the risk of gestational microvascular complications and progression of diabetes in the eye.

文摘Osteoporosis represents a prevalent and debilitating comorbidity in patients diagnosed with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM),which is characterized by suppressed osteoblast function and disrupted bone microarchitecture. In this study,we utilized male C57BL/6 J mice to investigate the role of SIRT3 in T2DM.Decreased SIRT3 expression and impaired mitochondrial quality control mechanism are observed in both in vitro and in vivo models of T2DM.Mechanistically,SIRT3 suppression results in hyperacetylation of FOXO3,hindering the activation of the PINK1/PRKN mediated mitophagy pathway and resulting in accumulation of dysfunctional mitochondria.Genetical overexpression or pharmacological activation of SIRT3 restores deacetylation status of FOXO3,thus facilitating mitophagy and ameliorating osteogenic impairment in T2DM.Collectively,our findings highlight the fundamental regulatory function of SIRT3 in mitochondrial quality control, crucial for maintaining bone homeostasis in T2DM.These insights not only enhance our understanding of the molecular mechanisms underlying diabetic osteoporosis but also identify SIRT3 as a promising therapeutic target for diabetic osteoporosis.
文摘BACKGROUND Type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)often leads to vascular complications, such as albuminuria. The role of insulin autoantibodies(IAA)and their interaction with D-dimer in this context remains unclear.AIM To investigate the characteristics of IAA and its effect on albuminuria in T2DM patients.METHODS We retrospectively analyzed clinical data from 115 T2DM patients with positive IAA induced by exogenous insulin, and 115 age-and sex-matched IAA-negative T2DM patients as controls.Propensity scores were calculated using multivariate logistic regression.Key variables were selected using the least absolute shrinkage and selection operator(LASSO)algorithm. We constructed a prediction model and analyzed the association between IAA and albuminuria based on demographic and laboratory parameters.RESULTS The IAA-positive group had significantly higher D-dimer levels[0.30(0.19-0.55)mg/L vs 0.21(0.19-0.33)mg/L,P=0.008]and plasma insulin levels[39.1(12.0-102.7)μU/mL vs 9.8(5.5-17.6)μU/mL,P<0.001]compared to the IAA-negative group.Increases in the insulin dose per weight ratio, diabetes duration, and urinary albumin-to-creatinine ratio(UACR)were observed but did not reach statistical significance. The LASSO model identified plasma insulin and D-dimer as key factors with larger coefficients.D-dimer was significantly associated with UACR in the total and IAA-positive groups but not in the IAA-negative group. The odds ratio for D-dimer elevation(>0.5 g/L)was 2.88(95%confidence interval:1.17-7.07)in the IAA-positive group(P interaction<0.05).CONCLUSION D-dimer elevation is an independent risk factor for abnormal albuminuria and interacts with IAA in the development of abnormal albuminuria in T2DM patients.

文摘Objective This study aimed to investigate the impact of glycemic control and diabetes duration on subsequent myocardial infarction(MI)in patients with both coronary heart disease(CHD)and type 2 diabetes(T2D).Methods We conducted a retrospective cohort study of 33,238 patients with both CHD and T2D in Shenzhen,China.Patients were categorized into 6 groups based on baseline fasting plasma glucose(FPG)levels and diabetes duration(from the date of diabetes diagnosis to the baseline date)to examine their combined effects on subsequent MI.Cox proportional hazards regression models were used, with further stratification by age, sex, and comorbidities to assess potential interactions. Results Over a median follow-up of 2.4 years,2,110 patients experienced MI.Compared to those with optimal glycemic control(FPG<6.1 mmol/L)and shorter diabetes duration(<10 years),the fullyadjusted hazard ratio(HR)(95%Confidence Interval[95%CI])for those with a diabetes duration of≥10 years and FPG>8.0 mmol/L was 1.93(95%CI:1.59,2.36).The combined effects of FPG and diabetes duration on MI were largely similar across different age, sex, and comorbidity groups, although the excess risk of MI associated with long-term diabetes appeared to be more pronounced among those with atrial fibrillation. Conclusion Our study indicates that glycemic control and diabetes duration significant influence the subsequent occurrence of MI in patients with both CHD and T2D.Tailored management strategies emphasizing strict glycemic control may be particularly beneficial for patients with longer diabetes duration and atrial fibrillation.
