The results showed that different land uses had different profile distributions of soil total nitrogen (STN), alkali N, ammonium (NH4+-N) and nitrate (NO3--N). The sequence of STN storage was woodland >maize field > fallow field > paddy field, while that of NO3--N content was maize field > paddy field > woodland > fallow field, suggesting the different root biomass and biological N cycling under various land uses. The STN storage in the depth of 0-100 cm of woodland averaged to 11.41 thm-1, being 1.65 and 1.25 times as much as that in paddy and maize fields, respec-tively, while there was no significant difference between maize and fallow fields. The comparatively higher amount of NO3--N in maize and paddy fields may be due to nitrogen fertilization and anthropogenic disturbance. Soil alkali N was significantly related with STN, and the correlation could be expressed by a linear regression model under each land use (R20.929, p<0.001). Such a correlation was slightly closer in nature (woodland and fallow field) than in agro ecosystems (paddy and maize fields). Heavy N fertilization induced an excess of crop need, and led to a comparatively higher amount of soil NO3--N in cultivated fields than in fallow field and woodland. It is suggested that agroforestry practices have the potential to make a significant contribution to both crop production and environment protection.展开更多

The experiment was set with the same waves on the liquefied seabed and unliquefled seabed respectively, and the current pipeline vertical pressure was measured with the pressure transducers installed on the two opposite directions (i.e., straight up and straight down) at the same cross-section of the pipeline. The results showed that when the seabed was unliquefied, the two pressure curves varied periodically and overlapped completely, reaching the maximum and minimum at the same time respectively, and the resultant pressure fluctuated within a limited range. However, when the seabed was liquefied, the two pressure curves varied periodically, but they did not overlap completely. They did not reach the maximum (minimum) value at the same time either, and the resultant pressure fluctuated within a wider range. The experiment showed that the submarine stood higher resultant pressure in the vertical direction when the seabed was liquefied, which may cause the frequent sinking and fioatation of the pipeline, leading to its fatigue damage.展开更多

The results showed that the numbers of some dominant genera under different land uses decreased with the increase of soil depth. Helicotylenchus was most dominant genus under each land use type. Genera of Filenchus, Psilen- chus and Tylenchus in paddy field occurred at the depth of 0–20 cm; while Paratylenchus in fallow field and woodland, as well as Praty- lenchus in maize field presented in the deeper soil layers (0–80 cm). Significant correlations between the numbers of dominant genera of plant nematodes and soil chemical properties were found in this study. The number of Helicotylenchus under different land uses was posi- tively correlated with C/N ratio, total C, total N, total P, alkai-N, and Olsen-P. The numbers of Filenchus and Paratylenchus in paddy field, Pratylenchus in maize field and Paratylenchus in fallow field were negatively correlated with soil pH, and positively correlated with total C, total N and alkai-N. Based on a database of 21 354 records in 74 long-term monitoring plots from 2004 to 2013 in the Chinese Ecosystem Research Network(CERN), we built fitting functions to quantify the vertical distribution of soil C, N, and P(up to 100 cm depth) in the typical Chinese terrestrial ecosystems. The decrease of soil C, N, and P content with depth can be well fitted with various mathematical functions. The fitting functions differed greatly between artificial(agriculture) and natural(desert, forest, and grassland) ecosystems, and also differed with respect to soil C, N, and P content. Furthermore, the stoichiometric ratios of soil C, N, and P were ranked in descending order: grassland > forest > agriculture > desert, and were also associated with climate. This study is the first to build the fitting functions for the profile distribution of soil C, N, and P in China at a national scale. Our findings provide a scientific basis to accurately assess the storage of C, N, and P in soils at a large scale, especially for the integrative analysis of historical data.展开更多

The results show: (1) the contents of SOM and TN of the plant communities gradually decreased with the following order: subalpine coniferous forest (3 027 m), subalpine meadow (3 873 m), coniferous broadleaved mixed forest(2 737 m), subalpine shrub(3 565 m) and treeline(3 564 m). (2) With soil profile depth increasing, the contents of SOM and TN gradually decreased. For different vegetation types, the contents of SOM and TN in sub-alpine coniferous forest were higher than that of other vegetational types. (3)The ratio of the content of carbon to the content of total nitrogen (Cc/CTN)WaS 13.5-27.6, which was relatively lower than the appropriate Cc/CTN of 25-30, and indicated that the soil in favor of the organic matter decomposed and nutrients released. Cc/CTN in the soil had no correlation with sea level altitude. However, its distribution in the soil x, aried with different vegetation types. (4) Nitrogen in SOM existed mainly in the form of organic nitrogen, and Cc/CTN in the soil was not obvious correlated with SOM and TN.展开更多

The results show that total nematode abundance gradually decreases with depth, and the highest number of total nematodes is observed at 0-5 cm depth under NT and FF treatments. The number of fungivores and plant parasites is significantly higher under FF and NT treatments than under CT treatment at the 0-5 cm depth. There is significant soil depth effect on the abundances of bacterivores and omnivores-predators,which exhibits a similar trend to that of total nematodes; whereas,no significant tillage effect is found. Tillage effect on soil nematode communities can be reflected by values of relative tillage response of index V. Results of index V indicate that total nematodes, bacterivores, fungivores and plant parasites are mildly inhibited, and omnivores-predators is moderately inhibited under CT treatment; while, under FF treatment total nematodes is mildly, and fungivores and plant parasites are moderately stimulated, respectively.展开更多

The soil is described by porous medium model established by Boer, while the pile is described by a beam vibration theory. By using separation theory of differential operator and variables to solve the dynamic governing equations for the soil, the fundamental solutions for the soil reactions on side and bottom of the pile are obtained. The dynamic impedance of the pile head is then derived by solving the vibration equation for the pile according to the compatibility condition between the pile and the soil. The proposed model is validated by comparing special cases of our model with the existing results. Numerical examples are presented to analyze the vibration characteristics of the pile.展开更多

The result...Hg vertical transference in soil water system was studied by analyzing Hg vertical distribution in soil column after adding Hg and one of the two leacheates, deionized water or acid rain, into soil column. The results indicated that Hg was hardly transferable in purple soil. About 86%~88% of the total soil Hg was distributed in the top layer (0~2 cm) and no Hg was detected in the leakage when the purple soil column was leached by deionized water and simulated acid rain. But Hg was more movable in yellow soil with only about 20%~22% of the total soil Hg distributed in the top layer (0~2 cm), and about 17%~25% washed out from the soil column by deionized water and simulated acid rain. Increment in soil bulk density could reduce Hg leaching, thus the more the Hg kept in soil, the less the Hg leached into underground water. Deionized water and acid rain almost played the same role in leaching Hg. Bentonite was most efficient in preventing Hg from vertical transferring in the soil column.展开更多

The axisymmetrical analytical solutions for vertical vibrations of the pile in a saturated viscoelastic soil layer are obtained, and the analytical expression of the dynamical complex stiffness of the pile top is presented. Responses of dynamic stiffness factor and equivalent damping of pile top with respect to the frequency are shown in figures using a numerical method. Effects of the saturated soil parameters, modulus ratio of the pile to soil, slenderness ratio of pile and pile's Poisson ratio, etc. on the stiffness factor and damping are examined. It is shown that, due to the effect of the transversal deformation of the pile and the radial force of the saturated viscoelastic soil acting on the pile, the dynamic stiffness factor and the damping derived from the axisymmetrical solution are greatly different from those derived from the classical Euler-Bernoulli rod model, especially at some specific excitation frequencies. Therefore, there are limitations on applicability of the Euler-Bernoulli rod model in analyzing verticai vibration of the pile. More accurate analysis should be based on a three-dimensional model.展开更多

The atrazine concentrations in leaching water and soil samples in column at 8 layers with 10 cm thick of each layer were detected by high performance liquid chromatography. The results show total atrazine amount in leaching water increases nonlinearly with the leaching time and the herbicide application rate, and the atrazine concentrations in column soil decrease with the vertical depth after water leaching. The distribution of atrazine mass in the system after 154 days were that among the applied atrazine, 0.3% is out through leaching water, 1% is methanol extractable residues in soil, 46% is methanol nonextractable residues in soil, and 52% is other loss (including volatilization and degradation). The study indicates movement of atrazine in agriculture soil may not only have relation to the properties of herbicide, but also to the herbicide application history.展开更多

The results showed that Pb concentrations in soils of vertical zone are all above 25 mg/kg, and the average Pb concentration of each soil zone negatively correlates its degree of variation, i.e. brown coniferous forest soil zone has the lowest average Pb concentration of four soil zones, and the highest horizontal variation; however, mountain soddy forest soil has the highest average Pb concentration, and the lowest horizontal variation; the average concentration of plant Pb of each plant zone is lower than the worldwide average level of Pb in plant(Clarke), respectively, and plant Pb content order is consistent with soil Pb content order, but their horizontal variations are different from those in soil zones, the variation of mountain tundra forest zone is highest, but Betula ermanii forest zone the lowest. Vertical variation of plant Pb is obviously higher than that in soils with variation coefficient of 89.76%; the enrichment capability of plant for Pb is depended on the plant types and the different organs of plant; parent material and parent rock, pH values, soil organic matter and soil particle fraction etc. are the main factors influencing variations of Pb content in soil plant system of vertical zone in CNNR.展开更多

Influence of the reflected wave generated by the boundary was revealed. Numerical results indicate that the vibration frequency has some effect on the vertical displacement of satu rated soil. The vertical displacement at the surface of saturated soil lags in phase with the load. Furthermore, the dynamic permeability coefficient of saturated soil has significant effect on the vertical displacement at the initial stage of load applied, but when the load becomes stable, the effect is inapparent.展开更多

The soil wetting mode of drip irrigation technology is obviously different from that of conventional irrigation. Using the method of soil box indoor simulation, the N2O emission under different soil vertical water content was analyzed. Hydrus Software was used to simulate the soil wetting body under different drip irrigation technical parameters, the relationship between the combination of drip irrigation technical parameters and soil vertical water content was studied, and then the relationship between the N2O emission and the combination of drip irrigation technical parameters was proposed. The results showed that soil N2O emission flux increased with the increase of soil moisture, and the maximum emission flux was three times as much as the minimum emission flux. Under the condition of uniform distribution of soil moisture, soil N2O emission flux was smaller than that under non-uniform distribution of soil moisture. Hydrus software simulation results show that drip flow rate is 2.0 L/h, the irrigation period is 5 days, the irrigation quota is 12 mm, and the soil N2O emission flux is the largest. Adjusting the combination of technical parameters of drip irrigation can reduce soil N2O emission flux.展开更多

(4) Nitrogen in SOM existed mainly in the form of organic nitrogen, and Cc/CTN in the soil was not obvious correlated with SOM and TN.
文摘The analytical layer-elements for a single poroelastic soil layer and the underlying half-space are established using an algebraic manipulation and Hankel trans- form. According to the boundary conditions and adjacent continuity conditions of general stresses and displacements, a global matrix equation in the transform domain for multi- layered saturated soil media is assembled and solved. Solutions in the frequency domain can be further obtained with an inverse Hankel transform. Numerical examples are used to examine accuracy of the present method and demonstrate effects of soil parameters and load conditions on dynamic responses of the multilayered poroelastic saturated soils.

文摘Vertical drains are used to accelerate consolidation of clays in ground improvement projects.Smear zones exist around these drains, where permeability is reduced due to soil disturbance caused by the installation process.Hansbo solution is widely used in practice to consider the effects of drain discharge capacity and smear on the consolidation process. In this study,a computationally efficient diameter reduction method(DRM)obtained from the Hansbo solution is proposed to consider the smear effect without the need to model the smear zone physically.Validated by analytical and numerical results,a diameter reduction factor is analytically derived to reduce the diameter of the drain, while achieving similar solutions of pore pressure dissipation profile as the classical full model of the smear zone and drain. With the DRM,the excess pore pressure u obtained from the reduced drain in the original un-disturbed soil zone is accurate enough for practical applications in numerical models.Such performance of DRM is independent of soil material property. Results also show equally accurate performance of DRM under conditions of multi-layered soils and coupled radial-vertical groundwater flow.

文摘Vertical distribution of soil nematode communities under conventional tillage (CT),no-tillage (NT) and fallow field (FF) treatments in the Lower Reaches of the Liaohe River was investigated at six soil depths (0-5 cm,5-15 cm,15-30 cm,30-50 cm,50-75 cm and 75-100 cm). Results of index V indicate that total nematodes, bacterivores, fungivores and plant parasites are mildly inhibited, and omnivores-predators is moderately inhibited under CT treatment; while, under FF treatment total nematodes is mildly, and fungivores and plant parasites are moderately stimulated, respectively.

文摘Considering the fact that in some complex cases, plate anchors are buried in multi-layered geotechnical materials, the ultimate dynamic analysis was performed to investigate the uplift capacity and failure mechanism of shallow strips and circular plate anchors in multi-layered soils. The nonlinear strength criterion and non-associated flow rule of geotechnical materials were introduced to investigate the influence of nonuniformity on the pullout performance and failure mechanism of shallow plate anchors. The expressions of the detaching curves or surfaces were obtained to reflect the failure mechanism, which can be used to figure out the ultimate uplift capacity and failure range. The results are generally in agreement with the numerical simulations and previous research. The effects of various parameters on the ultimate uplift capacity and failure mechanism of plate anchors in multi-layered soils were investigated, and it is found that the ultimate uplift capacity and failure range of shallow anchors increase with the increase of initial cohesion and dilatancy coefficient, but decrease with the unit weight, axial tensile stress and nonlinear coefficient.

文摘An axisymmetrical analytical solution is developed to investigate the vertical time-harmonic vibration of a floating pile in a saturated viscoelastic soil layer overlaying bedrock. Numerical examples are presented to analyze the vibration characteristics of the pile.

文摘Additional stress formed by postconstruction buildings in loess-filling areas affects water infiltration in soil and causes soil deformation. To investigate this effect, under constant water head, vertical infiltration tests on compacted loess with two initial dry densities for different applied vertical stresses were developed using vertical stresscontrollable one-dimensional soil columns. The timehistory curves of vertical deformation, wetting front depth, cumulative infiltration depth, volumetric water content(VWC)and suction were measured, and the soil-water characteristic curves(SWCCs)were determined. The results showed that:(1)the infiltration ability of the soil column weakens with increasing applied vertical stress and initial dry density;(2)vertical deformation increases rapidly at first and then tends to be stable slowly at the consolidation and wetting-induced deformation stage, and is positively correlated with applied vertical stress and is negatively correlated with initial dry density. The stability time of wetting-induced deformation and the corresponding wetting front depth increase with the increase of applied vertical stress, while they decrease obviously when initial dry density increases;(3)the influence of applied vertical stress on soilwater characteristics in soil columns with various initial dry densities is related to the deformation depth of soil column. The VG(Van Genuchten)model is suitable for fitting the SWCCs at different monitoring positions.A normalized SWCC model introducing the applied vertical stress was proposed for each initial dry density using the mathematical relationship between the fitting parameters and the applied vertical stress.
文摘Hg vertical transference in soil water system was studied by analyzing Hg vertical distribution in soil column after adding Hg and one of the two leacheates, deionized water or acid rain, into soil column. Bentonite was most efficient in preventing Hg from vertical transferring in the soil column.

文摘Based on elasticity and the theory of saturated porous media, and regarding the pile and the soil as a single phase elastic and a saturated viscoelastic media, respectively, the dynamical behavior of vertical vibration of an end-bearing pile in a saturated viscoelastic soil layer is investigated in the frequency domain using the Helmholtz decomposition and variable separation method. More accurate analysis should be based on a three-dimensional model.

文摘A simulation experiment on vertical transport of herbicide atrazine (2 chloro 4 ethylamino 6 isopropylamino s triazine) in soil column was conducted using lysimeter system. The study indicates movement of atrazine in agriculture soil may not only have relation to the properties of herbicide, but also to the herbicide application history.

文摘The characteristics of vertical and horizontal variations of lead element(Pb) in soil plant system of vertical zone in Changbai Mountain National Nature Reserve(CNNR) were studied. Vertical variation of plant Pb is obviously higher than that in soils with variation coefficient of 89.76%; the enrichment capability of plant for Pb is depended on the plant types and the different organs of plant; parent material and parent rock, pH values, soil organic matter and soil particle fraction etc. are the main factors influencing variations of Pb content in soil plant system of vertical zone in CNNR.

文摘Based on Biot's dynamic consolidation equations, by means of Laplace-Hankel transform technology, the integral solutions of stress and displacement in saturated soil with subjacent rock-stratum under axisymmetric arbitrary excitations were derived. Influence of the reflected wave generated by the boundary was revealed. Numerical results indicate that the vibration frequency has some effect on the vertical displacement of satu rated soil. The vertical displacement at the surface of saturated soil lags in phase with the load. Furthermore, the dynamic permeability coefficient of saturated soil has significant effect on the vertical displacement at the initial stage of load applied, but when the load becomes stable, the effect is inapparent.
文摘N2O emission has obvious water effect, but the current research is not deep enough. Adjusting the combination of technical parameters of drip irrigation can reduce soil N2O emission flux.
