Methods to obtain the design parameters and operations of these control charts are discussed. Performances of the proposed charts are compared with some existing control charts. It is verified that, the proposed charts give a significant reduction in the out-of-control “Average Time to Signal” (ATS) in the zero state, as well in the steady state compared to the Hotelling’s T2 and the synthetic T2 control charts.展开更多
Transient expression in Tobacco is a popular way to produce recombinant proteins in plants.The design of various expression vectors,delivered into the plant by Agrobacterium,has enabled high production levels of some ...Transient expression in Tobacco is a popular way to produce recombinant proteins in plants.The design of various expression vectors,delivered into the plant by Agrobacterium,has enabled high production levels of some proteins.To further enhance expression,researchers often adapt the coding sequence of heterologous genes to the host,but this strategy has produced mixed results in Tobacco.To study the effects of different sequence features on protein yield,we compile a dataset of the yields and coding sequences of previously published expression studies of more than 200 coding sequences.We evaluate various established gene expression models on a subset of the expression studies.We find that use of tobacco codons is only moderately predictive of protein yield as informative sequence features likely extend over multiple codons.Additionally,we show that codon usage of organisms that use tobacco as a host for expression of their proteins in a similar way as the synthetic system,like viruses and agrobacteria,can be used to predict heterologous expression.Other predictive features are related to tRNA supply and demand,the inclusion of a translational ramp of codons with lower adaptation to the tRNA pool at the beginning of the coding region,and the amino acid composition of the recombinant protein.A model based on all the features achieved a correlation of 0.57 with protein yield.We believe that our study provides a practical guideline for coding sequence design for efficient expression in tobacco.展开更多

The proposed algorithnl first employs MUSIC algorithm to estimate the azimuth of each divided sub-band signal, and then the estimated azimuths of multiple hydrophones are processed by using the data fusion technique. The high-resolution estimated result is achieved finally by adopting the weighted histogram statistics method. The results of the simulation and sea trials indicated that the proposed algorithm has better azimuth estimation performance than MUSIC algorithm of a single vector hydrophone and the data fusion technique based on the acoustic energy flux method. The better performance is reflected in the aspects of the estimation precision, the probability of correct estimation, the capability to distinguish multi-objects and the inhibition of the noise sub-bands.展开更多

With the modernization of machine learning techniques in healthcare,different innovations including support vector machine(SVM)have predominantly played a major role in classifying lung cancer,predicting coronavirus d...With the modernization of machine learning techniques in healthcare,different innovations including support vector machine(SVM)have predominantly played a major role in classifying lung cancer,predicting coronavirus disease 2019,and other diseases.In particular,our algorithm focuses on integrated datasets as compared with other existing works.In this study,parallel-based SVM(P-SVM)andmulticlass-basedmultiple submodels(MMSM-SVM)were used to analyze the optimal classification of lung diseases.This analysis aimed to find the optimal classification of lung diseases with id and stages,such as key-value pairs in MapReduce combined with P-SVM and MMSVM for binary and multiclasses,respectively.For nonlinear classification,kernel clustering-based SVM embedded with multiple submodels was developed.Both algorithms were developed using Apache spark environment,and data for the analysis were retrieved from microscope lab,UCI,Kaggle,and General Thoracic surgery database along with some electronic health records related to various lung diseases to increase the dataset size to 5 GB.Performance measures were conducted using a 5 GB dataset with five nodes.Dataset size was finally increased,and task analysis and CPU utilization were measured.展开更多

Based on the framework of minimum variance distortionless response (MVDR), the proposed algorithm jointly updates a transforming matrix and a reduced-rank filter. Each column of the transforming matrix is treated as an independent direction vector and updates the weight values of each dimension within a subspace. In addition, the direction vector rotation improves the performance of the algorithm by reducing the uncertainties due to the direction error. Simulation results show that the RJIO-DA algorithm has lower complexity and faster convergence than other conventional reduced-rank algorithms.展开更多

The image vectors are passed into a graphic processing unit (GPU), and compressed through SDVQ into a set of code indices considerably smaller in data size than the source hologram. Experimental evaluation reveals that our scheme is capable of compressing a digital hologram to a compression ratio of over 500 times, in approximately 20-22 ms.展开更多

Deterministic three-dimensional(3D)super-resolution microscopy can achieve light-matter interaction in a small volume,but usually with the axial extension distinctly more elongated than the lateral one.The isoSTED met...Deterministic three-dimensional(3D)super-resolution microscopy can achieve light-matter interaction in a small volume,but usually with the axial extension distinctly more elongated than the lateral one.The isoSTED method combining two opposing objectives and multiple laser beams can offer high axial extension atλ/12 level,but at the cost of optical system complexity and inherent sidelobes.The high-order nonlinear effect by multiphoton excitation would benefit to achieve a sub-diffraction resolution as well as to suppress the sidelobes.Herein,to achieve an easyto-use,sidelobe-free deterministic 3D nanoscopy with high axial resolution,we developed a purely physical deterministic strategy(UNEx-4Pi)by fusion of ultrahighly nonlinear excitation(UNEx)of photon avalanching nanoparticles and mirror-based bifocal vector field modulation(4Pi).The theoretical studies of UNEx-4Pi concept showed that the main peak of fluorescence spot became sharper and its large sidelobe height was suppressed with the increasing optical nonlinearity.In addition,the simplicity and robustness of UNEx-4Pi system were demonstrated utilizing a mirror-assisted single-objective bifocal self-interference strategy.Experimentally,UNEx-4Pi realized an extremely constringent focal spot without sidelobes observed,achieving an axial resolution up toλ/33(26 nm)using one low-power CW beam.We also demonstrated the super-resolution ability of the UNEx-4Pi scheme to bioimaging and nuclear envelope of BSC-1 cells were stained and imaged at an axial resolution of 32 nm.The proposed UNEx-4Pi method will pave the way for achieving light-matter interaction in a highly confined space,thereby advancing cuttingedge technologies like deterministic super-resolution sensing,imaging,lithography,and data storage.展开更多
