Herein, the mass-spring-dashpot model of caisson-base system is used to simulate the vibrating-sliding motion of the caisson under various types of breaking wave impact forces, i.e., single peak impact force, double peak impact force, and shock-damping oscillation impact force. The effects of various breaking wave impacts and the sliding motion on the dynamic response behaviors of caisson breakwaters are investigated and the calculation of relevant system parameters is discussed. It is shown that the dynamic responses of the caisson are significantly different under different types of breaking wave impact forces even when the amplitudes of impact forces are equal. The amplitude of dynamic response of the caisson is lower under single peak impact excitation than that under double peak impact or shock-damping oscillation impact excitation. Though the displacement of the caisson is large due to sliding, the rotation, the sliding force and the overturning moment of the caisson are significantly reduced.展开更多
Craniofacial development relies on the migration of cranial neural crest cells(CNCCs)to the first and second pharyngeal arches,followed by their differentiation into various cell types during embryogenesis.Although th...Craniofacial development relies on the migration of cranial neural crest cells(CNCCs)to the first and second pharyngeal arches,followed by their differentiation into various cell types during embryogenesis.Although the CNCC migration has been well-studied,the role of the niche in relation to CNCC remains unclear.Variants in FOXI3 have been implicated in craniofacial microsomia(CFM),yet the molecular mechanisms remain unexplored.FOXI3 is expressed in the ectoderm and auricle epidermis,but not in CNCCs or cartilage.Deletion of Foxi3 in the mouse CNCCs did not disrupt mandible and auricular development,further confirming that FOXI3 does not directly regulate CNCCs.However,Foxi3 deficiency in the ectoderm reduced the production of chondrogenesis-related cytokines derived from ectodermal cells,such as TGF-β1.This impairment affected CNCC proliferation through cell communication,subsequently altering the development of the mandible and auricle.These results emphasize the critical role of FOXI3 in establishing the microenvironment supporting CNCC function.Furthermore,FOXI3 directly regulates target genes associated with translation,thereby orchestrating cytokine production in epidermal cells.The validation using auricle sample from a CFM patient carrying FOXI3 mutation further supports our findings.These insights highlight the function of FOXI3 in creating the niche necessary for CNCC development and provide a basis for understanding the molecular mechanisms driving CFM pathogenesis.展开更多

After I read Fibonacci series, I thought, is there or are there any series which converges to golden ratio. Because of that I explored the inter relations of Fibonacci series when I was intent on Fibonacci series in my difference parallelogram. In which, I found there is no degeneration on Fibonacci series. In my thought, Pascal triangle seemed like a lower triangular matrix, so I tried to find the inverse for that. In inverse form, there is no change against original form of Pascal elements matrix. One day I played with ring magnets, which forms hexagonal shapes. Number of rings which forms Hexagonal shape gives Hex series. In this paper, I give the general formula for generating various types of Fibonacci series and its non-degeneration, how Pascal elements maintain its identities and which shapes formed by hex numbers by difference and matrices.展开更多
