To solve this problem, variable voltage CT reconstruction has been proposed. The effective projective sequences of a structural component are obtained through the variable voltage. The total variation is adjusted and minimized to optimize the reconstructive results on the basis of iterative image using algebraic reconstruction technique (ART). In the process of reconstruction, the reconstructive image of low voltage is used as an initial value of the effective proiective reconstruction of the adjacent high voltage, and so on until to the highest voltage according to the gray weighted algorithm. Thereby the complete structural information is reconstructed. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can completely reflect the information of a complicated structural com- ponent, and the pixel values are more stable than those of the conventional.展开更多

The state observer is introduced to resolve the problem of the unavailability of state variables. Assisted by the observer, a variable universe fuzzy system is designed to approximate the ideal control law. Being auxiliary components, a robust control term and a state feedback control term are designed to suppress the influence of the lumped uncertainties and remove the observation error, respectively. Different from the existing results, no additional dynamic order is required for the control design. All the adaptive laws and the control law are built based on the Lyapunov synthesis approach, and the signals involved in the closed-loop system are guaranteed to be uniformly ultimately bounded. Simulation results performed on Duffing forced oscillation demonstrate the advantages of the proposed control scheme.展开更多

The approximate form of the radiative heat flux is considered as the fourth power of temperature. Chemical reaction that occurs as the chemically reacting fluid flow through binary mixture is accounted for in energy and species concentration equations. Exponential space dependent heat source is introduced to generate additional heat energy across the fluid domain. The corresponding influence of heat energy is properly accounted for. It is assumed that viscosity and thermal conductivity vary as a linear function of temperature. The governing boundary layer equations are converted to nonlinear ordinary differential equations using similarity variables. A novel method of obtaining root finding starting with three guesses in shooting techniques is presented. The corresponding nonlinear coupled ordinary differential equations is solved numerically by shooting technique along with quadratic interpolation scheme. Graphical results of the dimensionless velocity, temperature and concentration distributions are shown for certain pertinent parameters controlling the fluid flow. The quadratic interpolation method is found to produce better estimated values of , which satisfy the degree of accuracy and proportional to the physical quantities.展开更多

The methodology ...The Complex Variable Boundary Element Method (CVBEM) procedure is extended to modeling applications of the two-dimensional linear diffusion partial differential equation (PDE) on a rectangular domain. The methodology in this work is suitable for modeling diffusion problems with Dirichlet boundary conditions and an initial condition that is equal on the boundary to the boundary conditions. The underpinning of the modeling approach is to decompose the global initial-boundary value problem into a steady-state component and a transient component. The steady-state component is governed by the Laplace PDE and is modeled using the Complex Variable Boundary Element Method. The transient component is governed by the linear diffusion PDE and is modeled by a linear combination of basis functions that are the products of a two-dimensional Fourier sine series and an exponential function. The global approximation function is the sum of the approximate solutions from the two components. The boundary conditions of the steady-state problem are specified to match the boundary conditions from the global problem so that the CVBEM approximation function satisfies the global boundary conditions. Consequently, the boundary conditions of the transient problem are specified to be continuously zero. The initial condition of the transient component is specified as the difference between the initial condition of the global initial-boundary value problem and the CVBEM approximation of the steady-state solution. Therefore, when the approximate solutions from the two components are summed, the resulting global approximation function approximately satisfies the global initial condition. In this work, it will be demonstrated that the coupled global approximation function satisfies the governing diffusion PDE. Lastly, a procedure for developing streamlines at arbitrary model time is discussed.展开更多

The technique described in this work is suitable for modeling initial-boundary value problems governed by the wave equation on a rectangular domain with Dirichlet boundary conditions and an initial condition that is equal on the boundary to the boundary conditions. The new numerical scheme is based on the standard approach of decomposing the global initial-boundary value problem into a steady-state component and a time-dependent component. The steady-state component is governed by the Laplace PDE and is modeled with the CVBEM. The time-dependent component is governed by the wave PDE and is modeled using a generalized Fourier series. The approximate global solution is the sum of the CVBEM and generalized Fourier series approximations. The boundary conditions of the steady-state component are specified as the boundary conditions from the global BVP. The boundary conditions of the time-dependent component are specified to be identically zero. The initial condition of the time-dependent component is calculated as the difference between the global initial condition and the CVBEM approximation of the steady-state solution. Additionally, the generalized Fourier series approximation of the time-dependent component is fitted so as to approximately satisfy the derivative of the initial condition. It is shown that the strong formulation of the wave PDE is satisfied by the superposed approximate solutions of the time-dependent and steady-state components.展开更多

By using the published V- and R-band data together with our observations, we discovered that the O - C curve of GSC 4560-02157 may show a cyclic variation with a period of 3.51 years and an amplitude of 1.40 min. If this variation is caused by a light travel-time effect via the existence of a third body, then its mass can be derived as M3 sin i1≈ 91.08 Mjup, and it should be a low-mass star. In addition, several physical parameters were measured. The color of the secondary star was determined to be V - R = 0.77(±0.03) which corresponds to a spectral type of K2-3. The secondary star's mass was estimated as M2 = 0.73(±0.02) Mo by combing the derived V - R value around phase 0 with the assumption that it obeys the mass-luminosity relation for main sequence stars. This mass is consistent with the mass-period relation for CV donor stars. For the white dwarf, the eclipse durations and contacts of the white dwarf yield an upper limit on the white dwarf's radius corresponding to a lower limit on mass of M1 ≈ 0.501 M⊙. The overestimated radius and previously published spectral data indicate that the boundary layer may have a very high temperature.展开更多

文摘We derive some new generating function formulae of the two-variable Hermite polynomials, such as ∞∑n=0tm/m!Hn,2m(x),∞∑n=0sntm/n!m!H2n,2m(x,y),and ∞∑n=0sntm/n!m!H2n+l,2m+k(x,y).We employ the operator Hermite polynomial method and the technique of integration within an ordered product of operators to solve these problems, which will be useful in constructing new optical field states.
文摘Four stars, GSC 1258–0143, GSC 1986–1665, GSC 3045–0892 and GSC 2983–1597 were found to be new variables during a campaign of CCD photometric monitoring of short-period eclipsing binary stars. The variabilities of these new variables are reported. The main characteristics and probable classifications of the variables are discussed through a preliminary analysis on their light curves. Among these stars, GSC 1258–0143 is classified as a RR Lyr star of sub-type a. Its pulsation period is determined to be about 0.5206 days. The other three stars, are definite variables, but their periods and types of light variations remain unknown.

文摘In this work,we studied the variable stars in the open cluster NGC 1912 based on the photometric observations and Gaia DR2 data.More than 3600 CCD frames in B,V,R filters were reduced, and we obtained the light curves that span about 63 hours.By analyzing these light curves,we detected 24 variable stars, including 16 periodic variable stars, seven eclipsing binaries and one star whose type is unclear.Among these 24 variable stars,11 are newly discovered, which are classified as sixγDoradus stars, oneδScuti star, three detached binaries and one contact binary. We also confirmed 13 previously known variable stars.Based on cluster members identified by Cantat-Gaudin et al.(2018),we inferred cluster memberships for these detected variable stars.Using Gaia DR2 data,we plotted a new color-magnitude diagram for NGC1912,and showed the nature of variable cluster members in kinematical properties and heliocentric distance.Among the 24 variable stars, seven variables are probable cluster members, which show homogeneity in kinematic characters and space position with the established cluster members.Four of the seven variable cluster members are the previously discovered stars, consisting of twoγDor stars and twoδSct stars. The remaining three variable cluster members, which are allγDor stars, are firstly detected in this work. The main physical parameters of these variable cluster members estimated from the color-magnitude diagram are log(age/yr)=8.75,[Fe/H]=-0.1,m-M=10.03 mag,and E(B-V)=0.307.

文摘GSC 4560-02157 is a new eclipsing cataclysmic variable with an orbital period of 0.265359 days. The overestimated radius and previously published spectral data indicate that the boundary layer may have a very high temperature.

文摘This paper provides a comprehensive introduction to the mini-Si Tian Real-time Image Processing pipeline(STRIP)and evaluates its operational performance. The STRIP pipeline is specifically designed for real-time alert triggering and light curve generation for transient sources.By applying the STRIP pipeline to both simulated and real observational data of the Mini-Si Tian survey,it successfully identified various types of variable sources, including stellar flares, supernovae, variable stars, and asteroids, while meeting requirements of reduction speed within 5 minutes. For the real observational data set,the pipeline detected one flare event,127 variable stars,and14 asteroids from three monitored sky regions.Additionally, two data sets were generated:one,a real-bogus training data set comprising 218,818 training samples, and the other,a variable star light curve data set with 421instances.These data sets will be used to train machine learning algorithms, which are planned for future integration into STRIP.
