The physical properties, classifications and memberships of these 22 objects are studied through their light curves, their positions on the color-magnitude diagram and with archival data from the Naval Observatory Merged Astrometric Dataset. Among these objects, five are eclipsing binary systems, six are pulsating variable stars including one known 6 Scuti star and one newly-discovered RR Lyrae star. The distance to the RR Lyrae star is estimated to be 7.9 - 0.3 kpc, indicating that the star is located far behind the cluster. Four variable stars are probable members of the cluster, and 13 of the 22 objects are confirmed to be field stars.展开更多

We detected 55 variable stars in the field of view, 42 of them are newly discovered: six binaries, 22 pulsating stars, 14 unclassified variables. We discussed the physical properties and classifications of the variable stars through their light curves. The cross-matching with the members catalog of NGC 1245 suggests that 10 variable stars are identified as probable cluster members, which including one EW type binary, eight δ Scuti stars, and an unknown type variable star. Since the difference of the members catalog of the cluster and the limitations of the instrument, there are some huge differences in the variable list of NGC 1245 compared with the previous work.展开更多

In about a one square degree field covering the cluster, a total of 21 variable candidates are detected during this survey, of which 16 are newly found. The periods, classifications and spectral types of 14 newly discovered variables are discussed, which consist of six eclipsing binary systems, three pulsating variable stars, three long period variables, one RS CVn star, and one W UMa or δ Scuff star. In addition, there are two variable candidates, the properties of which cannot be determined. By a method based on fitting observed spectral energy distributions of stars with theoretical ones, the membership probabilities and the fundamental parameters of this cluster are determined. As a result, five variables are probably members of NGC 2126. The fundamental parameters of this cluster are determined as: metallicity to be 0.008 Z, age log(t) = 8.95, distance modulus (m - M)0 = 10.34 and reddening value E(B - V) = 0.55 mag.展开更多

The distributions of period(P), temperature(T), gravitational acceleration(log(g)) and metallicity [Fe/H] are shown. It is found that most γ Dor variables are main-sequence stars with early F spectral types and temperatures from 6880 K to7280 K. They are slightly more metal poor than the Sun with a metallicity range from-0.4 to 0. On the H-R and log g-T diagrams, both the γ Dor and δ Scuti(δ Sct) stars occupy in the same region and some are beyond the borders predicted by current stellar pulsation theories. It is discovered that the physical properties of γ Dor stars are similar to those of long-period δ Sct(P > 0.3 d) stars. The stellar atmospheric parameters are all correlated with the pulsation period for short-period δ Sct variables(P < 0.3 d), but there are no such relations for γ Dor or long-period δ Sct stars. These results reveal that γ Dor and long-period δ Sct are the same group of pulsating stars and they are different from short-period δ Sct variables. Meanwhile, 33γ Dor stars are identified as candidates of binary or multiple systems.展开更多

We argue that V204 is indeed a low amplitude HB variable star, located near to the red edge of the instability strip, with a period of 0.74785d and an amplitude of about 0.04 mag in V. We also find that the red cluster member star 1-1-39 is a low amplitude variable with a period of 1.16^d and amplitude of about 0.03 mag in V which might be pulsating at the second overtone.展开更多

文摘In the current paper,we present a study of the spatial distribution of luminous blue variables(LBVs)and various LBV candidates(c LBVs)with respect to OB associations in the galaxy M33.The identification of blue star groups was based on the LGGS data and was carried out by two clustering algorithms with initial parameters determined during simulations of random stellar fields. We have found that the distribution of distances to the nearest OB association obtained for the LBV/c LBV sample is close to that for massive stars with Minit>20 M⊙and WolfRayet stars. This result is in good agreement with the standard assumption that LBVs represent an intermediate stage in the evolution of the most massive stars. However, some objects from the LBV/cLBV sample, particularly Fe II-emission stars, demonstrated severe isolation compared to other massive stars, which, together with certain features of their spectra, implicitly indicates that the nature of these objects and other LBVs/cLBVs may differ radically.

文摘We present LAMOST data on 168 γ Doradus(γ Dor) pulsating stars including stellar atmospheric parameters of 137 variables and spectral types for all of the samples. Meanwhile, 33γ Dor stars are identified as candidates of binary or multiple systems.

文摘This paper reports results from the first long-term BV(RI)c photometric CCD observations of three variable pre-main-sequence stars collected during the period from February 2007 to January 2020. The investigated stars are located in the field of the PMS star V733 Cep within the Cepheus OB3 association. All stars from our study show rapid photometric variability in all-optical passbands. In this paper, we describe and discuss the photometric behavior of these stars and the possible reasons for their variability. In the light variation of two of the stars, we found periodicity.
文摘The star 1-1-42 (=vZ1390), a cluster member in M3, located near the red edge of the instability strip of the horizontal branch, was discovered by Roberts and Sandage as a low amplitude variable, it was designated as V204 in the "second catalogue of variable stars in globular clusters", but its coordinates given in all versions of this catalogue are wrong since 1955. We argue that V204 is indeed a low amplitude HB variable star, located near to the red edge of the instability strip, with a period of 0.74785d and an amplitude of about 0.04 mag in V. We also find that the red cluster member star 1-1-39 is a low amplitude variable with a period of 1.16^d and amplitude of about 0.03 mag in V which might be pulsating at the second overtone.

文摘This paper outlines the scientific goals and observational strategies of the Mini-SiTian Array.Mounted at Xinglong Observatory, the Mini-SiTian Array consists of three 30 cm telescopes and has been in operation since 2022.The large field of view, combined with the capability for multi-band photometric observations, enables the Mini-SiTian Array to perform rapid follow-up observations to identify optical counterparts of gravitational waves, capture the early light curves of tidal disruption events and supernovae, and monitor stellar flares,Be star outbursts, and cataclysmic variable stars, although its limiting magnitude is not very deep.By collaborating with the Xinglong2.16 m telescope and leveraging a real-time image processing pipeline, simultaneous photometric and spectroscopic observations could be performed to reveal their underlying physical mechanisms. The observational and research experience provides critical guidance for the implementation of the full-scale SiTian project in the future.

文摘This study reports that the carbon star CGCS 673 is a semi-regular(SR)variable star with a period of 135 d and an amplitude of 0.18mag in the V-band.The light curve obtained by this study correlates well with the SR classification as the photometric data obtained show noticeable periodicity in the light changes of CGCS 673 that is occasionally interrupted by a period of irregular variability. The derived period and colour index obtained from our data and those from professional databases indicate that the attributes of this star fall within the parameters of the SR class of variable stars.Following our notification of the discovery that this star is a variable source,CGCS 673 has received the AAVSO Unique Identifier of(AAVSO UID)000-BMZ-492.

文摘This paper provides a comprehensive introduction to the mini-Si Tian Real-time Image Processing pipeline(STRIP)and evaluates its operational performance. The STRIP pipeline is specifically designed for real-time alert triggering and light curve generation for transient sources.By applying the STRIP pipeline to both simulated and real observational data of the Mini-Si Tian survey,it successfully identified various types of variable sources, including stellar flares, supernovae, variable stars, and asteroids, while meeting requirements of reduction speed within 5 minutes. For the real observational data set,the pipeline detected one flare event,127 variable stars,and14 asteroids from three monitored sky regions.Additionally, two data sets were generated:one,a real-bogus training data set comprising 218,818 training samples, and the other,a variable star light curve data set with 421instances.These data sets will be used to train machine learning algorithms, which are planned for future integration into STRIP.

文摘Novae are found to have GeV to TeVγ-ray emission, which reveals the shock acceleration from the white dwarfs.Recently,V1405 Cas was reported to radiate suspiciousγ-ray by Fermi-LAT with low signi?cance(4.1σ)after the optical maximum.Radio observations reveal that it is one of the?ve brightest novae surrounded by low-density ionized gas columns. Here we report a continuous search for GeVγ-ray from Fermi-LAT.Noγ-ray was found. For V1405 Cas the?ux level is lower than other well-studied Fermi novae, and theγ-ray maximum appears at t0+145 days.γ-ray of V1405 Cas is used to search potentialγ-ray periodicity.Noγ-ray periodicity was found during the time of observation.By comparing multi-wavelength data,theγ-ray upper limit to optical?ux ratio with a value at around 10^(-4)is obtained to constrain the shock acceleration.Long-term analysis from Swift-XRT gets X-ray spectral in the post-shock phase, which indicates that V1405 Cas became a super-soft source. The best-?t black body temperature at the super soft state is 0.11-0.19 keV.

文摘We present the discovery of TCP J07222683+6220548,a new ultracompact binary system of the AM CVn type. This system was first identified displaying aΔV=7.6 mag outburst on 2025-01-20.9416 UTC by the New Milky Way wide-field survey for transients and later independently detected by ASAS-SN and ZTF.The outburst peaked at V_(max)=12.45 and lasted for seven days, followed by a series of rebrightenings. No previous outbursts are found in archival data.Positive superhumps with a period of 0.032546±0.000084 day(46.87±0.12 minutes),barely detectable during the main outburst, became clearly visible during the first rebrightening that lasted from day 18 to day 24 after the initial outburst. No convincing change in the superhump period was detected.Dense time-series photometry follow-up by a pair of 0.5 m INASAN robotic telescopes, together with VSNET and AAVSO observers, was essential for identifying TCP J07222683+6220548 as an AM CVn system and triggering confirmation spectroscopy with the 2.5 m CMO SAI telescope. Some outbursting AM CVn systems lacking such detailed follow-up may remain unrecognized among the newly discovered cataclysmic variable candidates.

文摘We have investigated the feasibilities and accuracies of the identifications of RR Lyrae stars and quasars from the simulated data of the Multi-channel Photometric Survey Telescope(Mephisto)W Survey.Based on the variable sources light curve libraries from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey(SDSS)Stripe 82 data and the observation history simulation from the Mephisto-W Survey Scheduler,we have simulated the uvgriz multi-band light curves of RR Lyrae stars, quasars and other variable sources for the first year observation of Mephisto W Survey. We have applied the ensemble machine learning algorithm Random Forest Classifier(RFC)to identify RR Lyrae stars and quasars, respectively. We build training and test samples and extract~150 features from the simulated light curves and train two RFCs respectively for the RR Lyrae star and quasar classification. We find that, our RFCs are able to select the RR Lyrae stars and quasars with remarkably high precision and completeness, with purity=95.4%and completeness=96.9%for the RR Lyrae RFC and purity=91.4%and completeness=90.2%for the quasar RFC.We have also derived relative importances of the extracted features utilized to classify RR Lyrae stars and quasars.
