Prognostic value of combined detection of alpha-fetoprotein,plasma prothrombin activity,and serum prealbumin in acute-on-chronic liver failure 被引量:1

BACKGROUND Acute-on-chronic liver failure(ACLF)is a liver disease based on chronic liver disease,which is significantly influenced by clinical treatment regimen and disease status,and despite the existence of multiple prognostic assessment indicators for ACLF,the overall sensitivity and accuracy are relatively low.AIM To investigate the prognostic value of the combined detection of alpha-fetoprotein(AFP),plasma prothrombin activity(PTA),and serum prealbumin(PA)in ACLF.METHODS This retrospective study included 87 patients with ACLF admitted from February 2021 to February 2023 and categorized them into the survival(n=47)and death(n=40)groups according to their clinical outcomes 3 months posttreatment.All the participants underwent AFP,PTA,and PA level measurements upon admission.Baseline data,as well as AFP,PTA,and PA levels,were comparatively analyzed.Pearson correlation coefficients were utilized to analyze the correlations of AFP,PTA,and PA with different survival outcomes in patients with ACLF.Receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curves and areas under the curves were used to evaluate the predictive value of AFP,PTA,and PA for ACLF prognosis.RESULTS AFP,PTA,and PA levels were markedly decreased in the death group than in the survival group(P<0.05).Pearson analysis indicated a positive association of the AFP,PTA,and PA levels with the survival of patients with ACLF(P<0.05).ROC curve analysis determined the sensitivity and specificity of the combined diagnosis at 91.24%and 100.00%,respectively,both of which were notably increased compared to the single-index diagnosis.The ROC of their combined diagnosis was 0.989,significantly surpassing 0.907,0.849,and 0.853 of AFP,PTA,and PA,respectively.No statistically significant variance was determined in the sensitivity and specificity of the combined diagnosis vs the single detection(P>0.05).CONCLUSION The combined detection of AFP,PTA,and PA levels demonstrates favorable diagnostic value for the short-term prognosis of patients with ACLF,featuring high sensitivity and specificity. 展开更多

The empirical research tests and verifies the mediating effect of customer agility, and the interactions of IS application capabilities and relational assets, as well as their effect on relational value. This model expands the research framework of value co-creation in service dominant logic, and reveals the mechanism of how f'n'ms and customers co-create value in B2B e-commerce based on IS application capabilities, which provides the basis for further theory development and a practice guide. 展开更多

Herein,the association between the dynamic adsorption capacity of toluene and several important characteristic values on activated carbon(AC)samples was investigated by multidimensional linear regression.Among the characteristic values,the carbon tetrachloride(CTC)adsorption value has demonstrated relatively stronger correlation with the toluene adsorption capacity on AC sampleswith diverse sources and forms,particularly in exposure to high-concentration toluene.Notably,the relevance of the toluene adsorption capacity to the CTC value could also be extended to a series of other porous adsorbents,which proved the wide applicability of CTC value in characterizing the adsorption behaviors.Based on these results,a mathematical and visual model was then established to predict the toluene adsorption saturation under different conditions(inlet concentration,adsorption time,initial CTC value,etc.)on diverse AC samples,of which the accuracy has later been verified by experimental data.As such,a fast and accurate estimation of the adsorption behaviors over AC samples,and possibly other porous adsorbents,was realized. 展开更多

P omegranate(Punica granatum L.)has attracted considerable attention in world markets due to its valuable nutrients and highly appreciated sensory properties.The aroma profiles of 4 varieties of pomegranate juice,including Dahongtian(DP),Jingpitian(JP),Luyudan(LP),and Tianhonngdan(TP),were investigated via gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS)and gas chromatography-olfactometry(GC-O)analyses.A total of 43 volatile compounds were identified by using GC-MS.Among these compounds,16 were considered as potential aroma-active compounds as detected by GC-O.These compounds belonged to the classes of terpinenes,alcohols,and aldehydes.Eleven volatile compounds were defined as the main contributors to the overall aroma of pomegranate juice due to their high odor activity values(OAVs≥1).Aroma recombination and omission tests confirmed thatβ-myrcene,1-hexanol,and(Z)-3-hexen-1-ol were the key aroma compounds,and limonene,1-octen-3-ol,linalool,and hexanal were important aroma-active compounds in DP samples. 展开更多

Purpose:The present study examined the patterns of children's expectancy beliefs and subjective task values through the Physical Activity as Civil Skill Program and associated links to physical education enjoyment and total physical activity.Methods:The sample comprised 401 children aged 9–13 years from 3 small towns located in North-East Finland.All children received school-based activities across 2-year program from Grades 5 to 7.The present data were collected using questionnaires across 3 measurement phases during 2012–2014.Results:The levels of expectancy beliefs and subjective task values indicated to be relatively high and the development was stable through the program,especially in terms of expectancy beliefs,attainment value,and cost.In contrast,interest value and utility value decreased over the particular period of time.Boys believed they are physically more competent when compared to other students and valued physical education classes more important than girls.In addition,the higher the physical activity level the children reported,the higher the physical education enjoyment they perceived.Conclusion:The current program including actions to increase physical activity through manipulation of psychological and physical school environment modification indicated to be an effective strategy to prohibit declining levels of children's expectancy beliefs and task values. 展开更多

Compared with common intelligent service,full-scene intelligent service has its uniqueness in high integration,synergy,and technological spillover.However,the traditional service or business model theories cannot precisely elaborate its sociotechnical contextual nature and value creation logic.To fill this knowledge gap,we provide initial insights into the value co-creation logic in full-scene intelligent service by exploring the value co-creation elements using a data-driven text mining approach.We analyzed 171 business reports on the full-scene intelligent service by the topic modeling using the Latent Dirichlet Allocation(LDA).The findings reveal three main clusters:value proposition,participants,and connection platform.This study presents a theoretical framework for a further exploratory case study and quantitative research on full-scene intelligent service.This study also helps small and medium-sized enterprises to explore and exploit value co-creation opportunities. 展开更多

Establishing a sense of ritual within tourism consumption scenarios offers tourists the opportunity for interactive engagement.Drawing upon the value co-creation theory,this study constructed an influence mechanism model to examine tourists'active engagement in the process of co-creating tourism experience values.It employed Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling(PLS-SEM)to empirically test the proposed hypotheses.The findings demonstrate that the model constructed in the present study exhibits robust reliability,validity,and explanatory power.The perception of the sense of ritual in tourism exerts a significant positive influence on tourists’co-creation of tourism experience values,thereby significantly enhancing both the communitas and flow experienced by tourists during their travels.Moreover,such communitas and flow can mediate the influence of the sense of ritual in tourism on tourists’co-creation of tourism experience values.This study contributes to advancing the current research on tourists’co-creation of tourism experience values and the sense of ritual in tourism,thereby providing theoretical foundations for cultivating a sense of ritual within tourism consumption scenarios. 展开更多

The unreliable National logistics system and the complexity of distribution system are the big obstacles. This study aims to analyze the value and to propose recommendation for further improvement of National distribution system for imported product. This study employed convenience sampling through in-depth interview to analyze the activity in freight forwarder (FF), distributor and retailer. To demonstrate and analyze the activity process in each party, Process Activity Mapping (PAM) was used as a tool. The study results showed that the delivery speed in Jakarta (8.4 min/km) is slower than that of Surabaya (6.6 min/km). The government support through creating adequate infrastructure, good bureaucracy system and good collaboration directly affects the activities of FF, distributor and retailer. Improving FF performance in a timely and reliable manner is required to reduce errors that may occur. Moreover, encouraging the practice of cold chain management is also necessary in distributing the product throughout Indonesia. The pull strategy can be chosen by retailer to eliminate storage activity. Meanwhile, the use of information technology (IT) system is essential to encourage better inventory management, database management and sharing information in distributor and retailer stage. 展开更多

PS II was foundto be more sensitive to both pH and metals than PS I. Though, nitrate reductase (NR) wasmore sensitive to both PH and metals, the ATPase was however, more sensitive t0 metalsbut less sensitive to acidic pH. Acid PH was found to dst the nutrient (NO,' and NH4+)uptake and nitrate reductase in a non-competitive manner. The inhibition Pnduced by thetest metals alone was of noncompetitive type for NO3' uptake, nitrate reductase andATPase and competitive for NH'+ uptake. Acidity not only inhibited the metabolicvariables directly but also through facilitated uptake of metals and increased membranepermeability. This research investigates token dormancy as a fundamental metric for evaluating cryptocurrency assets and presents a methodology for its measurement.The valuation method involves 4 distinct parameters and utilizes a 3.5-year daily dataset for the“Chainlink”token.The results are used in optimized ARIMA-GARCH models to analyze the first differences between the variables;the out-of-sample forecasts were assessed with performance metrics.Furthermore,this study introduces a novel fundamental value derived from these approaches,the basis for generating selling signals in a backtested trading strategy.The trading strategy results are compared to a benchmark buy-and-hold strategy and a non-selling dollar-cost-averaging strategy for evaluation.Employing the dollar-cost averaging approach for purchase frequency and utilizing the“isolation forest”technique for identifying selling signals within the trading strategy yielded positive results. 展开更多

Using neutron activation analysis method we determined contents of rare-earth and radioactive elements (La, Ce, Nd, Sm, Eu, Tb, Yb, Lu, Cs, Rb, Sb, Sc, Sr, Ba, U, Th) in source water system of the Changjiang (Yangtze) River, which is mainly composed of the Tuotuo River, the Chumaer River, and the Buqu River. The contents of these elements in the unflltered water have a great variation and a close correlation with the water turbidity. The contents of these elements in filtered water only have a little variation and are lower than those in the unflltered water. The variations in contents of these elements in sediments are also very little. These elements in the unifiltered water are in geometric distribution, except Sc. Most of the elements in sediments are in arithmetic distribution, but Cs, Sb, Th, are in deviation distribution. The contents of most of these elements in the river source area correspond to the contents of fresh water of the earth. Most of these elements have a little variation in their 展开更多

A support vector regression based on the mean impact value (MIV) model was constructed to identify the bioactive compounds inhibiting proliferation of HeLa cells in a combination of turmeric (Curcuma longa L.) and liquorice (Glycyrrhiza) extracts. The quantitative chemical fingerprint from 50 batches of turmeric and liquorice extracts was established using high performance liquid chromatography hyphenated to an ultraviolet visible detector. Qualitative results were obtained using ultra performance liquid chromatography coupled with electrospray ionization quadrupole time-of-flight tandem mass spectrometry. A total of 46 peaks (peaks 1–15 from turmeric and 16–46 from liquorice) were selected as “common peaks” for analysis. The inhibitory effect of the combined extracts on HeLa cells was measured by MTT (3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide) assay. It was found that 15 compounds (peaks: 8, 12, 30, 24, 46, 11, 14, 9, 3, 1, 44, 18, 7, 45 and 43) possessing high absolute MIV exhibited a significant correlation with the cytotoxicity against HeLa cells; most of these have already been confirmed with potential cytotoxicity in previous research. The important potential application of the present model can be extended to help discover active compounds from complex herbal medicine prior to traditional bioassay-guided separation. It operates with complex-valued inputs, outputs, and weights, and its learning algorithm is based on error-correcting rule. The activation function of MVN is not differentiable. Therefore, we can not apply backpropagation when constructing multilayer structures. In this paper, we propose a new neuron model, MVN-sig, to simulate the mechanism of MVN with differentiable activation function. We expect MVN-sig to achieve higher performance than MVN. We run several classification benchmark datasets to compare the performance of MVN-sig with that of MVN. Freeform surface measurement is a key basic technology for product quality control and reverse engineering in aerospace field.Surface measurement technology based on multi-sensor fusion such as laser scanner and contact probe can combine the complementary characteristics of different sensors,and has been widely concerned in industry and academia.The number and distribution of measurement points will significantly affect the efficiency of multisensor fusion and the accuracy of surface reconstruction.An aggregation‑value‑based active sampling method for multisensor freeform surface measurement and reconstruction is proposed.Based on game theory iteration,probe measurement points are generated actively,and the importance of each measurement point on freeform surface to multi-sensor fusion is clearly defined as Shapley value of the measurement point.Thus,the problem of obtaining the optimal measurement point set is transformed into the problem of maximizing the aggregation value of the sample set.Simulation and real measurement results verify that the proposed method can significantly reduce the required probe sample size while ensuring the measurement accuracy of multi-sensor fusion. 展开更多

This paper is aimed on solving the aforesaid problem. In this paper we propose the thought of evaluating customer cost by using activity based costing(ABC) and the tra- ditional model of customer lifetime value(CLV) to improve the CLV model, then analyze the difference of using both models through an empirical study. As a result, ABC can account customer cost more accurately so that the CLV can help managers evaluate customer more effectively. 展开更多

Objective:To study the detection value of Th17 related indexes and platelet activation indexes in the patients with liver cancer.Methods: A total of 59 patients with liver cancer in our hospital from July 2015 to June 2016 were selected as the observation group, 59 healthy persons of the same ages with physical examination were selected as the control group, then the serum Th17 related indexes and platelet activation indexes levels of two groups were detected and compared, then the serum Th17 related indexes and platelet activation indexes levels of observation group with different stages and types of liver cancer were compared too. Results:The serum Th17 related indexes and platelet activation indexes levels of observation group were all higher than those of control group, the serum Th17 related indexes and platelet activation indexes levels of observation group with different stages and types of liver cancer had obvious differences (allP<0.05).Conclusions: The Th17 related indexes and platelet activation indexes of patients with liver cancer show higher expression state, and the expression levels of patients with different stages and types of liver cancer have obvious differences too, so the clinical detection value of those indexes in the patients with liver cancer are higher. 展开更多

In this paper, the multistability issue is discussed for delayed complex-valued recurrent neural networks with discontinuous real-imaginary-type activation functions. Based on a fixed theorem and stability definition, sufficient criteria are established for the existence and stability of multiple equilibria of complex-valued recurrent neural networks. The number of stable equilibria is larger than that of real-valued recurrent neural networks, which can be used to achieve high-capacity associative memories. One numerical example is provided to show the effectiveness and superiority of the presented results. 展开更多

In the present work,the fruits of four Morus species,namely Morus alba (white mulberry),Morus nigra (black mulberry),Morus laevigata (large white fruit),and Morus laevigata (large black fruit),were analyzed for proximate composition,essential minerals,and antioxidant potentials.For this purpose,the ripe fruits were collected from the northern regions of Pakistan.The major nutritional components moisture,ash,lipids,proteins,fibres,carbohydrates,and total sugar) were found to be in the suitable range along with good computed energy.Total dry weight,pH,and titratable acidity (percent citric acid) were (17.60±1.94)–(21.97±2.34) mg/100 g,(3.20±0.07)–(4.78±0.15),and (0.84±0.40)%–(2.00±0.08)%,respectively.Low riboflavin (vitamin B2) and niacin (vitamin B3) contents were recorded in all the fruits,while ascorbic acid (vitamin C) was in the range from (15.20±1.25) to (17.03±1.71) mg/100 g fresh weight (FW).The mulberry fruits were rich with regard to the total phenol and alkaloid contents,having values of (880±7.20)–(1650±12.25) mg/100 g FW and (390±3.22)–(660±5.25) mg/100 g FW,respectively.Sufficient quantities of essential macro-(K,Ca,Mg,and Na) and micro-(Fe,Zn,and Ni) elements were found in all the fruits.K was the predominant element with concentration ranging from (1270±9.36) to (1731±11.50) mg/100 g,while Ca,Na,and Mg contents were (440±3.21)–(576±7.37),(260±3.86)–(280±3.50),and (240±3.51)–(360±4.20) mg/100 g,respectivly.The decreasing order of micro-minerals was Fe>Zn>Ni.The radical scavenging activity of methanolic extract of fruits was concentration-dependent and showed a correlation with total phenolic constituents of the respective fruits.Based on the results obtained,mulberry fruits were found to serve as a potential source of food diet and natural antioxidants. 展开更多
