In these cases,the traditional stress-strength interference( SSI) model based on classical probabilistic approach can not be used to evaluate reliabilities of components. To solve this issue, the traditional universal generating function( UGF) is introduced and then it is extended to represent the discrete interval-valued random variable.Based on the extended UGF,an improved discrete interval-valued SSI model is proposed, which has higher calculation precision compared with the existing methods. Finally,an illustrative case is given to demonstrate the validity of the proposed model. 展开更多

Reliability Evaluation of Compressor Systems Based on Universal Generating Function Method

At present, universal generating function(UGF) is a reliability evaluation technique which holds the bare-looking and easily program-realized merits in multi-state system. Thus, it is meaningful to apply this method to an actual industry system. Compressor systems in natural gas pipelines are series-parallel multi-state systems,where the compressor units in each compressor station work in a parallel way and these pressure-boosting stations in the pipeline are series connected. Considering the characteristic of gas pipelines, this paper develops two different UGFs to evaluate the system reliability. One(Model 1) establishes a system model from every compressor unit while the other(Model 2) considers the whole system as a combination of multi-state components. Besides, all the parameters of "weight" in UGFs are obtained from thermal-hydraulic models based on the actual engineering and"probability" from Monte Carlo simulation. The results show that the system reliabilities calculated by different UGFs are approximately equal. In addition, the demand of gas and the gas pipeline transportation system show a reverse trend. Because the number of parameters needed in Model 2 is far less than that needed in Model 1,Model 2 is simpler programming and faster solved. 展开更多

The belief function theory is used to characterize the uncertainty caused by various factors. A modified Markov model is proposed to obtain the state probabilities of components at any given moment and subsequently the mass function is used to represent the precise belief degree of state probabilities. Based on the primary studies of universal generating function(UGF)method, a belief UGF(BUGF) method is utilized to analyze the reliability and the uncertainty of excavator rectifier feedback system. This paper provides an available method to evaluate the reliability of multi-state systems(MSSs) with interval state performances and state probabilities, and also avoid the interval expansion problem. 展开更多

BACKGROUND Depression and anxiety are prevalent among university students worldwide,often coexisting with functional constipation(FC).Family relationships have been identified as crucial factors affecting mental health,yet the gender-specific associations between these conditions remain underexplored.AIM To assess prevalence of depressive symptoms,anxiety symptoms,and FC among Chinese university students and explore their associations.METHODS Using a cross-sectional survey design,data were collected from 12721 students at two universities in Jiangsu Province and Shandong Province.Depressive symptoms were assessed using the Patient Health Questionnaire-9,anxiety symptoms using the Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7 scale,and FC using the ROME IV.Gender-stratified analyses and population attributable risk proportions were calculated to evaluate risk factor patterns and population impact.RESULTS The prevalence of self-reported depressive,anxiety,and comorbid depressive and anxiety symptoms was 16.3%,24.9%,and 13.3%,respectively,whereas that of FC was 22%.Students with depressive symptoms were 1.811 times more likely to have FC than those without.Female gender,parental relationships,and lower household income were significant risk factors for both mental health conditions.For depressive symptoms,females experienced stronger effects from both parental conflict[odds ratio(OR)=8.006 vs OR=7.661 in males]and FC(OR=1.954 vs OR=1.628 in males).For anxiety symptoms,conflicted parental relationships had stronger effects in males(OR=5.946)than females(OR=4.262).Overall,poor parental relationships contributed to 38.6%of depressive and 33.5%of anxiety symptoms.CONCLUSION Family relationships significantly impact student mental health,with gender-specific patterns.Targeted interventions addressing family dynamics could reduce mental health burden in university settings. 展开更多

A method for estimating the component reliability is proposed when the probability density functions of stress and strength can not be exactly determined. For two groups of finite experimental data about the stress and strength, an interval statistics method is introduced. The processed results are formulated as two interval-valued random variables and are graphically represented component reliability are proposed based on the by using two histograms. The lower and upper bounds of universal generating function method and are calculated by solving two discrete stress-strength interference models. The graphical calculations of the proposed reliability bounds are presented through a numerical example and the confidence of the proposed reliability bounds is discussed to demonstrate the validity of the proposed method. It is showed that the proposed reliability bounds can undoubtedly bracket the real reliability value. The proposed method extends the exciting universal generating function method and can give an interval estimation of component reliability in the case of lake of sufficient experimental data. 在进行多状态系统可靠性分析时,很多情况下系统中同时存在着多个类型不确定信息,如一些复杂系统中,由于样本量的差异,一些信息可以作为随机信息,而另一些信息由于缺少足够的样本,只能以区间形式给出。提出一种基于证据通用生成函数理论... 在进行多状态系统可靠性分析时,很多情况下系统中同时存在着多个类型不确定信息,如一些复杂系统中,由于样本量的差异,一些信息可以作为随机信息,而另一些信息由于缺少足够的样本,只能以区间形式给出。提出一种基于证据通用生成函数理论的多状态系统可靠性分析方法,来处理多类不确定性信息的多态系统。该方法基于证据不确定性量化理论,能够充分利用区间信息和认知信息,避免了系统中信息的浪费。基于证据量化理论建立证据通用生成函数模型,采用信度和似然度对多态系统进行可靠性评价,提高了基于认知不确定性的可靠性分析结果的可信性。对于同时含有随机信息和认知信息的多态系统,该方法首先通过将随机信息离散处理,然后建立统一的证据通用生成理论模型进行多态可靠性分析。通过案例分析对所提出的方法进行了验证。 展开更多

针对同时存在随机、模糊和区间3种混合不确定性变量的结构可靠性分析问题,文中提出一种基于通用生成函数(UGF)的统一可靠性分析方法。采用广义密度函数法,将模糊变量转换为等效随机变量,结构几何参数采用区间变量描述时,基于熵最大原则... 针对同时存在随机、模糊和区间3种混合不确定性变量的结构可靠性分析问题,文中提出一种基于通用生成函数(UGF)的统一可靠性分析方法。采用广义密度函数法,将模糊变量转换为等效随机变量,结构几何参数采用区间变量描述时,基于熵最大原则,将区间变量视为在定义区间内服从均匀分布的随机变量,从而将混合不确定性问题转换为单一随机不确定性问题。对统一转化后的随机变量进行非均匀离散化,并采用求解精度高且不受随机变量非正态、功能函数非线性影响的UGF建立结构各分量UGF模型,通过复合运算得到整个结构UGF模型,求解功能函数获得结构的可靠度值。算例分析表明:采用文中方法与Monte Carlo法计算精度的相对误差小于1%,且计算效率提高近18倍。 展开更多

New renewable energy exploitation technologies in offshore structures are vital for future energy production systems.Offshore hybrid wind-wave power generation(HWWPG)systems face increased component failure rates because of harsh weather,significantly affecting the maintenance procedures and reliability.Different types of failure rates of the wind turbine(WT)and wave energy converter(WEC),e.g.,the degradation and failure rates during regular wind speed fluctuation,the degradation and failure rates during intense wind speed fluctuation are considered.By incorporating both WT and WEC,the HWWPG system is designed to enhance the overall amount of electrical energy produced by the system over a given period under varying weather conditions.The universal generating function technique is used to calculate the HWWPG system dependability measures in a structured and efficient manner.This research highlights that intense weather conditions increase the failure rates of both WT and WEC,resulting in higher maintenance costs and more frequent downtimes,thus impacting the HWWPG system’s reliability.Although the HWWPG system can meet the energy demands in the presence of high failure rates,the reliance of the hybrid system on both WT and WEC helps maintain a relatively stable demand satisfaction during periods of high energy demand despite adverse weather conditions.To confirm the added value and applicability of the developed model,a case study of an offshore hybrid platform is conducted.The findings underscore the system’s robustness in maintaining energy production under varied weather conditions,though higher failure rates and maintenance costs arise in intense scenarios. 展开更多

According to the demand of sustainable development and low-carbon electricity, it is important to develop clean resources and optimize scheduling generation mix. Firstly, a novel method for probabilistic production simulation for wind power integrated power systems is proposed based on universal generating function(UGF), which completes the production simulation with the chronological wind power and load demand. Secondly,multiple-period multiple-state wind power model and multiple-state thermal unit power model are adopted, and both thermal power and wind power are coordinately scheduled by the comprehensive cost including economic cost and environmental cost. Furthermore, the accommodation and curtailment of wind power is synergistically considered according to the available regulation capability of conventional generators in operation. Finally, the proposed method is verified and compared with conventional convolution method in the improved IEEE-RTS 79 system. 展开更多

选区激光熔化(Selective Laser Melting,SLM)是当前最常见的增材制造技术之一,工艺参数、材料特性以及气氛稳定性对成形质量有重要影响。以激光功率名义值、扫描速度和扫描间距为设计变量,以激光功率、钴铬合金粉末粒径局部分布均值和... 选区激光熔化(Selective Laser Melting,SLM)是当前最常见的增材制造技术之一,工艺参数、材料特性以及气氛稳定性对成形质量有重要影响。以激光功率名义值、扫描速度和扫描间距为设计变量,以激光功率、钴铬合金粉末粒径局部分布均值和风速波动度为随机参数,设计多因素多水平实验。基于秩关联原理实现不完备数据的概率增广,获取设计变量、随机参数与试样性能之间的响应面。在满足许用抗拉强度的概率约束下,以成形效率最高为优化目标,建立钴铬合金SLM工艺参数的可靠性设计优化模型。针对SLM过程随机参数非正态和功能函数非线性的问题,引入通用生成函数,融合离散枚举和随机抽样,基于自适应细分-重要抽样创新优化算法,求取最优工艺参数,在可靠性约束下获得最高成形效率。 展开更多

物理层密钥生成技术使得节点能够利用无线信道的物理特性直接生成共享密钥,从而保证无线通信过程的安全性。针对当前物理层密钥生成方案普遍存在实际场景下密钥生成率低的问题,提出了一个基于Savitzky-Golay滤波的物理层密钥生成机制优... 物理层密钥生成技术使得节点能够利用无线信道的物理特性直接生成共享密钥,从而保证无线通信过程的安全性。针对当前物理层密钥生成方案普遍存在实际场景下密钥生成率低的问题,提出了一个基于Savitzky-Golay滤波的物理层密钥生成机制优化方案。该方案中,合法通信节点首先探测信道并通过Savitzky-Golay滤波消除部分由信道干扰造成的信道状态差异,然后,利用多级量化以及格雷码将信道状态转为比特序列,最终通过Cascade交互式信息协调协议以及基于2阶全域哈希函数的保密增强生成合法节点之间的共享密钥。实验结果表明,基于Savitzky-Golay滤波的优化方案能够有效提高物理层密钥生成过程的效率,提高了此类安全机制的实际可用性。 展开更多

传统的结构可靠性分析方法在处理多维非正态分布、小失效概率以及功能函数高度非线性问题时,很难以较低成本获得满意的精度。为了克服现有方法的不足,将子集模拟法(SS)与通用生成函数(UGF)相结合,提出结构可靠性分析的UGF-SS法。根据子... 传统的结构可靠性分析方法在处理多维非正态分布、小失效概率以及功能函数高度非线性问题时,很难以较低成本获得满意的精度。为了克服现有方法的不足,将子集模拟法(SS)与通用生成函数(UGF)相结合,提出结构可靠性分析的UGF-SS法。根据子集模拟思想,利用通用生成函数获得中间失效概率,从而获得结构失效概率。对随机变量进行低密度离散,获得结构通用生成函数,划分中间事件,计算失效概率。在之后的模拟中针对中间事件进行非均匀自适应细分,获得每层中间失效概率。最后一层模拟利用拉丁超立方抽样扩充中间事件样本,计算失效概率。模拟结束后,各中间失效概率相乘得到结构失效概率。通过算例分析验证了所提方法的合理性和可行性,所提方法在保留子集模拟法高效率的同时,发挥了通用生成函数对任意随机变量和功能函数的普适性,保证了结果的精度。 展开更多
