Assessing the impact of anthropogenic volatile organic compounds(VOCs)on ozone(O_(3))formation is vital for themanagement of emission reduction and pollution control.Continuousmeasurement of O_(3)and the major precursorswas conducted in a typical light industrial city in the YRD region from 1 May to 25 July in 2021.Alkanes were the most abundant VOC group,contributing to 55.0%of TVOCs concentration(56.43±21.10 ppb).OVOCs,aromatics,halides,alkenes,and alkynes contributed 18.7%,9.6%,9.3%,5.2%and 1.9%,respectively.The observational site shifted from a typical VOC control regime to a mixed regime from May to July,which can be explained by the significant increase of RO_(x)production,resulting in the transition of environment from NOx saturation to radical saturation with respect to O_(3)production.The optimal O_(3)control strategy should be dynamically changed depending on the transition of control regime.Under NOx saturation condition,minimizing the proportion of NOx in reduction could lead to better achievement of O_(3)alleviation.Under mixed control regime,the cut percentage gets the top priority for the effectiveness of O_(3)control.Five VOCs sources were identified:temperature dependent source(28.1%),vehicular exhausts(19.9%),petrochemical industries(7.2%),solvent&gasoline usage(32.3%)and manufacturing industries(12.6%).The increase of temperature and radiation would enhance the evaporation related VOC emissions,resulting in the increase of VOC concentration and the change of RO_(x)circulation.Our results highlight determination of the optimal control strategies for O_(3)pollution in a typical YRD industrial city. 展开更多

An optimal control strategy of winner-take-all(WTA)model is proposed for target tracking and cooperative competition of multi-UAVs(unmanned aerial vehicles).In this model,firstly,based on the artificial potential field method,the artificial potential field function is improved and the fuzzy control decision is designed to realize the trajectory tracking of dynamic targets.Secondly,according to the finite-time convergence high-order differentiator,a double closed-loop UAV speed tracking the controller is designed to realize the speed control and tracking of the target tracking trajectory.Numerical simulation results show that the designed speed tracking controller has the advantages of fast tracking,high precision,strong stability and avoiding chattering.Finally,a cooperative competition scheme of multiple UAVs based on WTA is designed to find the minimum control energy from multiple UAVs and realize the optimal control strategy.Theoretical analysis and numerical simulation results show that the model has the fast convergence,high control accuracy,strong stability and good robustness. 展开更多

The time-of-use(TOU)strategy can effectively improve the energy consumption mode of customers,reduce the peak-valley difference of load curve,and optimize the allocation of energy resources.This study presents an Optimal guidance mechanism of the flexible load based on strategies of direct load control and time-of-use.First,this study proposes a period partitioning model,which is based on a moving boundary technique with constraint factors,and the Dunn Validity Index(DVI)is used as the objective to solve the period partitioning.Second,a control strategy for the curtailable flexible load is investigated,and a TOU strategy is utilized for further modifying load curve.Third,a price demand response strategy for adjusting transferable load is proposed in this paper.Finally,through the case study analysis of typical daily flexible load curve,the efficiency and correctness of the proposed method and model are validated and proved. 展开更多

This paper deals with both the leading train and the following train in a train tracking under a four-aspect fixed autoblock system in order to study the optimum operating strategy for energy saving. After analyzing the working principle of the four-aspect fixed autoblock system, an energy-saving control model is created based on the dynamics equation of the Wains. In addition to safety, energy consumption and time error are the main concerns of the model. Based on this model, dynamic speed constraints of the following train are proposed, defined by the leading gain dynamically. At the same time, the static speed constraints defined by the line conditions are also taken into account. The parallel genetic algorithm is used to search the optimum operating strategy. In order to simplify the solving process, the external punishment function is adopted to transform this problem with constraints to the one without constraints. By using the real number coding and the strategy of dividing ramps into three parts, the convergence of GA is accelerated and the length of chromosomes is shortened. The simulation result from a four-aspect fixed autoblock system simulation platform shows that the method can reduce the energy consumption effectively in the premise of ensuring safety and punctuality. 展开更多

In particular, the optimal linear quadratic(LQ) control strategy with estimated plant state is formulated as a non-cooperative game with network-induced delays. Then, using the Kalman filter approach, an optimal estimation of the plant state is obtained based on the information fusion of the distributed controllers. Finally, an optimal state estimation strategy is derived as a linear function of the current estimated plant state and the last control strategy of multiple controllers. The effectiveness of the proposed closed-loop control strategy is verified by the simulation experiments. 展开更多

This paper addresses a target-enclosing problem for multiple spacecraft systems by proposing a two-layer affine formation control strategy. Compared with the existing methods,the adopted two-layer network structure in this paper is generally directed, which is suitable for practical space missions. Firstly, distributed finite-time sliding-mode estimators and formation controllers in both layers are designed separately to improve the flexibility of the formation control system. By introducing the properties of affine transformation into formation control protocol design,the controllers can be used to track different time-varying target formation patterns. Besides, multilayer time-varying encirclements can be achieved with particular shapes to surround the moving target. In the sequel, by integrating adaptive neural networks and specialized artificial potential functions into backstepping controllers, the problems of uncertain Euler-Lagrange models, collision avoidance as well as formation reconfiguration are solved simultaneously. The stability of the proposed controllers is verified by the Lyapunov direct method. Finally, two simulation examples of triangle formation and more complex hexagon formation are presented to illustrate the feasibility of the theoretical results. 展开更多

Despite the series-parallel hybrid electric vehicle inherits the performance advantages from both series and parallel hybrid electric vehicle,few researches about the series-parallel hybrid electric vehicle have been revealed because of its complex co nstruction and control strategy.In this paper,a series-parallel hybrid electric bus as well as its control strategy is revealed,and a control parameter optimization approach using the real-valued genetic algorithm is proposed.The optimization objective is to minimize the fuel consumption while sustain the battery state of charge,a tangent penalty function of state of charge(SOC)is embodied in the objective function to recast this multi-objective nonlinear optimization problem as a single linear optimization problem.For this strategy,the vehicle operating mode is switched based on the vehicle speed,and an"optimal line"typed strategy is designed for the parallel control.The optimization parameters include the speed threshold for mode switching,the highest state of charge allowed,the lowest state of charge allowed and the scale factor of the engine optimal torque to the engine maximum torque at a rotational speed.They are optimized through numerical experiments based on real-value genes,arithmetic crossover and mutation operators.The hybrid bus has been evaluated at the Chinese Transit Bus City Driving Cycle via road test,in which a control area network-based monitor system was used to trace the driving schedule.The test result shows that this approach is feasible for the control parameter optimization.This approach can be applied to not only the novel construction presented in this paper,but also other types of hybrid electric vehicles. 展开更多

Accurate fuel injection control of aircraft engine can optimize the energy efficiency of UAV power system while meeting the propeller speed requirement. Traditional injection control method such as open-loop calibration causes instability of fuel supply which brings the risk of power loss of UAV. Considering that the closed-loop control of AFR can ensure a stable fuel feeding, this paper proposes an AFR control based fuel supply strategy in order to improve the efficiency of fuel-powered UAV while obtaining the required engine speed. According to the optimum fuel injection results, we implement fuzzy-PID method to control the set AFR in different situations. Through simulation and experiment studies, the results indicate that, to begin with, the calibrated mathematical model of the aircraft engine is effective. Next, this fuel supply strategy based on AFR control can normally realize the engine speed regulation, and the applied control algorithm can eliminate the overshoot of AFR throughout all the working progress. What is more,the fuel supply strategy can averagely shorten the response time of the engine speed by about two seconds. In addition, compared with the open-loop calibration, in this work the power efficiency is improved by 9% to 33%. Last but not the least, the endurance can be improved by 30 min with a normal engine speed. This paper can be a reference for the optimization of UAV aircraft engine. 展开更多

The paper proposes a new swarm intelligence-based distributed Model Predictive Control(MPC)approach for coordination control of multiple Unmanned Aerial Vehicles(UAVs).First,a distributed MPC framework is designed and each member only shares the information with neighbors.The Chaotic Grey Wolf Optimization(CGWO)method is developed on the basis of chaotic initialization and chaotic search to solve the local Finite Horizon Optimal Control Problem(FHOCP).Then,the distributed cost function is designed and integrated into each FHOCP to achieve multi-UAV formation control and trajectory tracking with no-fly zone constraint.Further,an event-triggered strategy is proposed to reduce the computational burden for the distributed MPC approach,which considers the predicted state errors and the convergence of cost function.Simulation results show that the CGWO-based distributed MPC approach is more computationally efficient to achieve multi-UAV coordination control than traditional method. 展开更多

This paper presents a method for solving the attitude control problem of high altitude airship (HAA) with aerodynamic fin and vectored thruster control. The algorithm is based on the synthetic optimization of dynamic performance and energy consumption of airship. Firstly, according to the system overall configuration, the dynamic model of HAA was established and the HAA linearized model of longitudinal plane motion was obtained. Secondly, using the classic PID control theory, the HAA attitude control system was designed. Thirdly, through analyzing the dynamic performance of airship with fin or vectored thruster control, the synthetic performance index function with different weighting functions was determined. By means of optimizing the obtained performance index function, the attitude control of high altitude airship with good dynamic performance and low energy consumption was achieved. Finally, attitude control allocation strategy was designed for the airship station keeping at an altitude of 22 km. The simulation experiment proved the validity of the proposed algorithm. 展开更多

With this increase in production, there has been a parallel demand for continuously improving strategies of hybrid electric vehicle control. The goal of an ideal control strategy is to maximize fuel economy while minimizing emissions. Methods exist by which the globally optimal control strategy may be found. However, these methods are not applicable in real-world driving applications since these methods require </span><i><span style="font-family:Verdana;">a</span></i> <i><span style="font-family:Verdana;">priori</span></i><span style="font-family:Verdana;"> knowledge of the upcoming drive cycle. Real-time control strategies use the global optimal as a benchmark against which performance can be evaluated. The goal of this work is to use a previously defined strategy that has been shown to closely approximate the global optimal and implement a radial basis function (RBF) artificial neural network (ANN) that dynamically adapts the strategy based on past driving conditions. The strate</span><span style="font-family:Verdana;">gy used is the Equivalent Consumption Minimization Strategy (ECMS),</span><span style="font-family:Verdana;"> which uses an equivalence factor to define the control strategy and the power train </span><span style="font-family:Verdana;">component torque split. The RBF-ANN is used to dynamically update the equivalence factor by examining a past time window of driving characteristics. A total of 30 sets of training data (drive cycles) are used to train the RBF-ANN. For the majority of drive cycles examined, the RBF-ANN implementation is shown to produce fuel economy values that are within ±2.5% of the fuel economy obtained with the optimal equivalence factor. 解列是电力系统在故障时结构完整性得不到保证的情况下分裂为2个或多个孤立稳定运行子系统的过程或操作。及时恰当的主动解列操作将能有效地避免因保护连锁动作使得电力系统被动解列而崩溃所造成的巨额经济损失。结合图论中的相关概念... 解列是电力系统在故障时结构完整性得不到保证的情况下分裂为2个或多个孤立稳定运行子系统的过程或操作。及时恰当的主动解列操作将能有效地避免因保护连锁动作使得电力系统被动解列而崩溃所造成的巨额经济损失。结合图论中的相关概念和输电网最优解列的物理过程,建立电力系统最优主动解列断面选择问题的完整数学模型,并基于含连通图约束的背包问题(connected graph constrained knapsack problem,CGKP)及其求解算法提出“搜索+调整”的2阶段求解方法。为降低问题的复杂性,将完整数学模型分解成图的最优平衡分割问题和基于优化潮流的调节问题,并分2个阶段分别求解。其中,图的最优平衡分割问题又被分解成多个CGKP,利用基于含CGKP的图分割方法进行求解。所提出的主动解列策略具有较强理论基础,计算复杂度低,算例的计算结果证明了该模型及算法的正确性和有效性。 展开更多

Mathematical modeling of trypanosomiasis control strategies in communities where human,cattle and wildlife interact

Spillover of trypanosomiasis parasites from wildlife to domestic livestock and humans remains a major challenge world over.With the disease targeted for elimination by 2030,assessing the impact of control strategies in communities where there are human-cattle-wildlife interactions is therefore essential.A compartmental framework incorporating tsetse flies,humans,cattle,wildlife and various disease control strategies is developed and analyzed.The reproduction is derived and its sensitivity to different model parameters is investigated.Meanwhile,the optimal control theory is used to identify a combination of control strategies capable of minimizing the infected human and cattle population over time at minimal costs of implementation.The results indicates that tsetse fly mortality rate is strongly and negatively correlated to the reproduction number.It is also established that tsetse fly feeding rate in strongly and positively correlated to the reproduction number.Simulation results indicates that time dependent control strategies can significantly reduce the infections.Overall,the study shows that screening and treatment of humans may not lead to disease elimination.Combining this strategy with other strategies such as screening and treatment of cattle and vector control strategies will result in maximum reduction of tsetse fly population and disease elimination. 展开更多

A chance-constrained energy dispatch model based on the distributed stochastic model predictive control(DSMPC)approach for an islanded multi-microgrid system is proposed.An ambiguity set considering the inherent uncertainties of renewable energy sources(RESs)is constructed without requiring the full distribution knowledge of the uncertainties.The power balance chance constraint is reformulated within the framework of the distributionally robust optimization(DRO)approach.With the exchange of information and energy flow,each microgrid can achieve its local supply-demand balance.Furthermore,the closed-loop stability and recursive feasibility of the proposed algorithm are proved.The comparative results with other DSMPC methods show that a trade-off between robustness and economy can be achieved. 展开更多

The surplus process is described by a classical Cramér-Lunderg model and the financial market contains a market index, a risk-free asset and a pair of mispriced stocks, where the expected return rate of the stocks and the mispricing follow mean reverting processes which take into account liquidity constraints. In particular, both the insurance and reinsurance premium are assumed to be calculated via the variance premium principle. By employing the dynamic programming approach, we derive the explicit optimal robust reinsurance-investment strategy and the optimal value function. 展开更多

The methods of how to get the best performance is also educed.
