Modulated synthesis of stoichiometric and sub-stoichiometric two-dimensional covalent organic frameworks for enhanced ethylene purification

Controlled synthesis of two-dimensional covalent organic frameworks(2D COFs),including stoichiometric and sub-stoichiometric variations,is a topic of growing interest due to its potential in gas separation applications.In this study,we successfully synthesized three distinct 2D COFs by carefully adjusting solvent compositions and monomer ratios during the synthesis of[4+4]type COFs.These included a stoichiometric[4+4]type COF and two sub-stoichiometric[4+2]type COFs,featuring unreacted amino or formyl groups.The resulting COFs exhibit different gas adsorption and separation properties.Specifically,sub-stoichiometric COF-DA with residual amino groups shows comparable adsorption capacity for C_(2)H_(2),C_(2)H_(4),and CO_(2)to stoichiometric COF-DAPy.In contrast,sub-stoichiometric COF-Py with residual formyl groups displays enhanced adsorption selectivity for C_(2)H_(2)/C_(2)H_(4)and C_(2)H_(2)/CO_(2)separation,with the C_(2)H_(2)/C_(2)H_(4)selectivity being the highest among reported COFs,attributed to increased pore polarity resulting from the presence of formyl groups.This study not only offers an additional example of substoichiometric COF synthesis but also advocates for further exploration of sub-stoichiometric COF materials,particularly in the field of gas adsorption and separation. 展开更多

Climate change and human activities on runoff in northern Shaanxi:Based on Budyko framework analysis

Studying runoff characteristics and quantifying human activities’impact on northern Shaanxi,a crucial mineral resource area in China,is crucial to alleviate water resource contradictions.In this study,hydrological element trends were analyzed using theβ-z-h three-parameter indication method.The Mann-Kendall,Pettitt,moving T,and Yamamoto methods were used to test the mutation point of hydrological elements.The Budyko framework was used to quantitatively assess the impacts of climate change and multiple human activities on runoff reduction.The results showed that(1):Precipitation(PRE),potential evapotranspiration(E0),and temperature(TEM)showed increasing trends;runoff in the Huangfuchuan,Gushanchuan,Kuye River,Tuwei River,Wuding River,Qingjian River,and Yanhe River catchments showed decreasing trends(HFC,GSC,KYR,TWR,WDR,QJR,YR);whereas runoff in the Jialu River(JLR)catchment showed a“V-shaped”trend from 1980 to2020.(2)Runoff was positively correlated with PRE and negatively correlated with E0and the subsurface index(n),with the elasticity coefficients of PRE,E0,and n showing an increasing trend in the change period.(3)Human activities were a key factor in runoff reduction,although the impact of different human activities showed spatial variations.This study provides a scientific foundation for achieving the sustainable development of water resources in mining areas. 展开更多

The copper complexing of dissolved organic matter released from hydrochar(HDOM)affects the former’s environmental behavior.In this study,how hydrothermal temperatures(180,220 and 260℃)influence the molecular-level constitutions and Cu(II)binding features of HDOM were elucidated via fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry and multi-spectroscopic analysis.The findings demonstrated that the almost HDOM molecules had the traits of lower polarity and higher hydrophobicity.As the hydrothermal temperature increased,the molecules with particularly high relative strength gradually disappeared,average molecular weight,percentages of CHON and aliphatic compounds of HDOM reduced while the percentages of CHO and aromatic compounds increased.In general,the fluorescence quenching of Cu(II)weakened as hydrothermal temperature rose and the Cu(II)binding stability constants of fluorophores in HDOM were 4.50–5.31.In addition,the Cu(II) binding order of fluorophores in HDOM showed temperature heterogeneities, andpolysaccharides or aromatic rings of non-fluorescent substances had the fastest responsesto Cu(II) binding. Generally, fluorescent components tend to bind Cu(II) at relatively traceconcentrations (0–40 μmol/L), whereas non-fluorescent substances tend to the bind Cu(II)at relatively higher concentrations (50–100 μmol/L). This study contributed to the predictionof the potential environmental behaviors and risks of Cu(II) at the molecular level afterhydrochar application. 展开更多

Systematic Security Guideline Framework through Intelligently Automated Vulnerability Analysis

This research aims to propose a practical framework designed for the automatic analysis of a product’s comprehensive functionality and security vulnerabilities,generating applicable guidelines based on real-world software.The existing analysis of software security vulnerabilities often focuses on specific features or modules.This partial and arbitrary analysis of the security vulnerabilities makes it challenging to comprehend the overall security vulnerabilities of the software.The key novelty lies in overcoming the constraints of partial approaches.The proposed framework utilizes data from various sources to create a comprehensive functionality profile,facilitating the derivation of real-world security guidelines.Security guidelines are dynamically generated by associating functional security vulnerabilities with the latest Common Vulnerabilities and Exposure(CVE)and Common Vulnerability Scoring System(CVSS)scores,resulting in automated guidelines tailored to each product.These guidelines are not only practical but also applicable in real-world software,allowing for prioritized security responses.The proposed framework is applied to virtual private network(VPN)software,wherein a validated Level 2 data flow diagram is generated using the Spoofing,Tampering,Repudiation,Information Disclosure,Denial of Service,and Elevation of privilege(STRIDE)technique with references to various papers and examples from related software.The analysis resulted in the identification of a total of 121 vulnerabilities.The successful implementation and validation demonstrate the framework’s efficacy in generating customized guidelines for entire systems,subsystems,and selected modules. 展开更多

Based on the explicit finite element(FE) method and platform of ABAQUS,considering both the inhomogeneity of soils and concave-convex fluctuation of topography,a large-scale refined two-dimensional(2D) FE nonlinear analytical model for Fuzhou Basin was established.The peak ground motion acceleration(PGA) and focusing effect with depth were analyzed.Meanwhile,the results by wave propagation of one-dimensional(1D) layered medium equivalent linearization method were added for contrast.The results show that:1) PGA at different depths are obviously amplified compared to the input ground motion,amplification effect of both funnel-shaped depression and upheaval areas(based on the shape of bedrock surface) present especially remarkable.The 2D results indicate that the PGA displays a non-monotonic decreasing with depth and a greater focusing effect of some particular layers,while the 1D results turn out that the PGA decreases with depth,except that PGA at few particular depth increases abruptly; 2) To the funnel-shaped depression areas,PGA amplification effect above 8 m depth shows relatively larger,to the upheaval areas,PGA amplification effect from 15 m to 25 m depth seems more significant.However,the regularities of the PGA amplification effect could hardly be found in the rest areas; 3) It appears a higher regression rate of PGA amplification coefficient with depth when under a smaller input motion; 4) The frequency spectral characteristic of input motion has noticeable effects on PGA amplification tendency. 展开更多

The adsorption behavior of butyl xanthate on the surface of lead oxide was investigated using continuous online in situ attenuated total reflectance Fourier transform infrared(ATR-FTIR) spectroscopy technique and two dimensional(2D) correlation analysis.The adsorbed layer studied was prepared by coating α-PbO particles onto the surfaces of the ZnSe crystal.The appearance of spectral peaks at 1203 cm^-1,1033 cm^-1 and their red shift indicated the formation and aggregation of xanthate at the surface of α-PbO.According to 1R intensity changes after rinsing with deionized water and a NaOH solution,the adsorption was proved to be a chemisorption type.The competition between xanthate and OH^- for the surfaces leads to desorption of xanthate at higher pH.The technique of 2D correlation ATR-FTIR spectroscopy was used to evaluate the changing order of spectral intensities in the adsorption process,and the results indicated that xanthate micelles were formed at the surfaces.The adsorption kinetics of butyl xanthate was found to be a pseudo-second-order reaction model and the adsorption capacity of butyl xanthate at α-PbO was as high as 281 mg g^-1 after 150 min. 展开更多

First, baxic equations for simple wares and shock waves are presented for a general strain energy junction. Then the characteristic ware speeds and the associated characteristic vectors are deduced. It is shown that there usually exist two simple waves and two shock wares. Finally, two examples are given for the case of plane strain deformation and antiplane strain deformation, respectively. It is proved that, in the case of plane strain deformation, the oblique reflection problem of a plane shock is not solvable in general. 展开更多

This paper is concerned with further relaxations of the stability analysis of nonlinear Roesser-type two-dimensional (2D) systems in the Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy form. To achieve the goal, a novel slack matrix variable technique, which is homogenous polynomially parameter-dependent on the normalized fuzzy weighting functions with arbitrary degree, is developed and the algebraic properties of the normalized fuzzy weighting functions are collected into a set of augmented matrices. Consequently, more information about the normalized fuzzy weighting functions is involved and the relaxation quality of the stability analysis is significantly improved. Moreover, the obtained result is formulated in the form of linear matrix inequalities, which can be easily solved via standard numerical software. Finally, a numerical example is provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed result. 展开更多

This paper is concerned with the problem of stability analysis of nonlinear Roesser-type two-dimensional (2D) systems. Firstly, the fuzzy modeling method for the usual one-dimensional (1D) systems is extended to the 2D ease so that the underlying nonlinear 2D system can be represented by the 2D Takagi Sugeno (TS) fuzzy model, which is convenient for implementing the stability analysis. Secondly, a new kind of fuzzy Lyapunov function, which is a homogeneous polynomially parameter dependent on fuzzy membership functions, is developed to conceive less conser- vative stability conditions for the TS Roesser-type 2D system. In the process of stability analysis, the obtained stability conditions approach exactness in the sense of convergence by applying some novel relaxed techniques. Moreover, the obtained result is formulated in the form of linear matrix inequalities, which can be easily solved via standard numerical software. Finally, a numerical example is also given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach. 展开更多

We investigate plasma modes in a transistor including a negative differential conductance in the gate. The analytical results show that the plasma wave generation is substantially influenced by the lateral direction (width of the transistor), gate leakage current and 'viscosity. The injection from the gate (opposed to the gate leakage current) can improve the plasma oscillations and their amplitude with respect to ordinary transistors. We also estimate, which to our best knowledge has been derived for the first time, the total power emitted by the transistor and the emitted pattern which qualitatively gives reasonable agreement with the experimental data. The results show that the radiated power depends on various parameters such as drift velocity, momentum relaxation time, gate leakage current and especially the lateral direction. A negative gate current enhances the power while the gate leakage current decreases the power. 展开更多

Machine learning methods, one type of methods used in artificial intelligence, are now widely used to analyze two-dimensional (2D) images in various fields. In these analyses, estimating the boundary between two regions is basic but important. If the model contains stochastic factors such as random observation errors, determining the boundary is not easy. When the probability distributions are mis-specified, ordinal methods such as probit and logit maximum likelihood estimators (MLE) have large biases. The grouping estimator is a semiparametric estimator based on the grouping of data that does not require specific probability distributions. For 2D images, the grouping is simple. Monte Carlo experiments show that the grouping estimator clearly improves the probit MLE in many cases. The grouping estimator essentially makes the resolution density lower, and the present findings imply that methods using low-resolution image analyses might not be the proper ones in high-density image analyses. It is necessary to combine and compare the results of high- and low-resolution image analyses. The grouping estimator may provide theoretical justifications for such analysis. 展开更多

In recent years, the construction of 2D materials has become a topic of great interest. This article summarizes the recent advance of 2D supramolecular organic frameworks(SOFs) which are homogeneously constructed in solution phase through self-assembly of rationally designed building blocks. These 2D SOFs are soluble and still maintain stable network structures in solutions, which exhibit uniqueness not only in structures but also in properties. In this concise review, the SOFs-related background is briefly introduced firstly, followed by outlining the research progress of soluble 2D SOFs from the perspective of monomer design, assembly, and structural characterization.The article ends with a personal outlook on the future development of this new class of supramolecular polymers. 展开更多

Owing to frequent environmental monitoring of tetrabromobisphenol-A(TBBPA)analogs and their potential ecotoxicological effects on organisms,analysis of trace levels of TBBPA analogs with more non-polar and less water-soluble characteristics is of great significance for studying their environmental behaviors and toxic effects.Herein,a fast and sensitive technique is developed for directly detecting aqueous TBBPA analogs,including TBBPA mono(allyl ether)(TBBPA-MAE),TBBPA mono(2,3-dibromopropyl ether)(TBBPAMDBPE),TBBPA mono(2-hydroxyethyl ether)(TBBPA-MHEE)and TBBPA mono(glycidyl ether)(TBBPAMGE),by combining solid phase microextraction(SPME)based on porous covalent organic frameworks(Porous-COFs)with constant flow desorption ionization-mass spectrometry(CFDI-MS).As chromatographic separation is replaced by constant flow desorption,each sample can be analyzed within 7 min.The hierarchical porous structures(microporous,mesoporous and macroporous)of COFs lead to the enhanced mass transfer and the easier accessibility of active sites to TBBPA analogs,so that the extraction efficiency is 2.3-3.6 times higher than pure microporous COFs,and far superior to commercial coatings.The detection limit and quantification limit of this method are 0.1-1 and 0.4-3.2 ng/L,respectively.Ultratrace levels of TBBPA analogs from 5.0 ng/L to 66 ng/L have been successfully detected in river and sea water samples,showing great potential for subsequent studies of their environmental behaviors and toxicological effects. 展开更多

UPC-32 features a 2 D microporous framework exhibits high adsorption of H2(118.2 cm3/g, 1.05 wt%, at 77 K), and adsorption heat(Qst) of CO2(34–46 k J/mol). UPC-32 with narrow distance between layers(3.8 ?) exhibits high selectivity of C3H6/CH4(31.46) and C3H8/CH4(28.04) at298 K and 1 bar. Solvothermal reaction of 3-aminoisonicotinic acid(Haina) and Cu(NO_3)_2·2.5H_2O gave a novel twodimensional(2D) microporous metal–organic framework, [Cu(aina)_2(DMF)]·DMF(1, DMF = N,N-dimethylformamide). Single-crystal X-ray crystallographic study of compound 1 revealed that Cu(II)ions are linked by ainaàligands forming square grid-like layers, which stack together via multiple hydrogen bonding interactions. The solvent-free framework of 1a displayed considerable porosity(void = 46.5%) with one-dimensional(1D) open channels(4.7 ? ? 4.8 ?) functionalized by amino groups.Gas sorption measurements of 1 revealed selective carbon dioxide(CO_2) and acetylene(C_2H_2) adsorption over methane(CH_4) and nitrogen(N_2) at ambient temperature. 展开更多

The ferromagnetism of two-dimensional(2D)materials has aroused great interest in recent years,which may play an important role in the next-generation magnetic devices.Herein,a series of 2D transition metal-organic framework materials(TM-NH MOF,TM=Sc-Zn)are designed,and their electronic and magnetic characters are systematically studied by means of first-principles calculations.Their structural stabilities are examined through binding energies and ab-initio molecular dynamics simulations.Their optimized lattice constants are correlated to the central TM atoms.These 2D TM-NH MOF nanosheets exhibit various electronic and magnetic performances owing to the effective charge transfer and interaction between TM atoms and graphene linkers.Interestingly,Ni-and Zn-NH MOFs are nonmagnetic semiconductors(SM)with band gaps of 0.41 eV and 0.61 eV,respectively.Co-and Cu-NH MOFs are bipolar magnetic semiconductors(BMS),while Fe-NH MOF monolayer is a half-semiconductor(HSM).Furthermore,the elastic strain could tune their magnetic behaviors and transformation,which ascribes to the charge redistribution of TM-3d states.This work predicts several new 2D magnetic MOF materials,which are promising for applications in spintronics and nanoelectronics. 展开更多
