The observations of fully-charm tetraquark states in the LHCb,CMS,and ATLAS experiments suggested the existence of hadronic molecules of two-charmonium states,which may also imply bound states in the threecharmonium systems.In this work,we study the possible bound states in the triple-ηcand triple-J/ψsystems with J^(PC)=0^(-+)and 1^(--),respectively.In quantum chromodynamics sum rules,we calculate the two-point correlation functions and spectral functions up to the dimension-four gluon condensate.We use the iterative dispersion relation approach to deal with the five-loop banana integrals,which significantly improves computational efficiency.Our results show that the masses of triple-ηcand triple-J/ψstates lie below the corresponding mass thresholds,supporting the existence of such three-body bound states. 展开更多

BACKGROUND Helicobacter pylori(H.pylori)is a Gram-negative bacterium that relies on flagellar motility to colonize the stomach,damaging the gastric mucosa through various mechanisms and leading to various digestive disorders.Accurate assessment and precise treatment are essential in initial intensive therapy.AIM To investigate the efficacy and safety of a vonoprazan(VPZ)-based triple regimen for first-line eradication of H.pylori in China.METHODS This multicenter noninferior randomized controlled trial(June 2022 to November 2023)involved 524 H.pyloripositive patients across 19 centers in Shandong,China.Participants were randomized to 14-day esomeprazole/bismuth/amoxicillin/clarithromycin(EBAC),14-day VPZ/amoxicillin/clarithromycin(VACa),or 10-day VPZ/amoxicillin/clarithromycin(VACb)-all administered twice daily.Primary outcomes(eradication rates)were assessed via intention-to-treat(ITT)and per-protocol(PP)analyses.Secondary endpoints included adverse events and adherence.Noninferiority testing andχ^(2)tests were used for statistical comparisons.RESULTS A total of 524 patients participated in this study.In ITT analysis,the eradication rates of the EBAC,VACa,and VACb groups were 72.6%(127/175),88.0%(154/175),and 83.3%(145/174),respectively(P=0.001).The difference in the eradication rate between the EBAC and VPCa groups was 15.4%[95%confidence interval(CI):7.3-23.6,P<0.001],and that between the EBAC and VACb groups was 10.8%(95%CI:2.1-19.4,P=0.018).In PP analysis,the eradication rates of the EBAC,VACa,and VACb groups were 81.4%(127/156),93.9%(154/164),and 90.6%(145/160),respectively(P=0.001).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions among the three groups,which were 36.6%,33.8%and 29.6%,respectively(P=0.50).CONCLUSION VPZ-based triple therapies demonstrate noninferiority to 14-day bismuth-containing regimens,with the 10-day regimen showing comparable efficacy and similar adverse event rates. 展开更多

OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the therapeutic effect of a selfformulated Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM),Shugan Jieyu San(疏肝解郁散),on improvement of liver function and depression alleviation in the patients with triple negative breast cancer(TNBC).METHODS:A total of 60 patients diagnosed with TNBC and depression were enrolled and randomly assigned to either the control group(receiving routine tumor treatment and duloxetine)or the treatment group(receiving the TCM in addition to routine treatment).RESULTS:Both treatment and control groups showed a reduction in depressive symptoms and improved daily living abilities after treatment.However,the treatment group demonstrated significantly better outcomes compared to the control group.Furthermore,the levels of dopamine and serotonin in the serum increased in both groups after 8 weeks of treatment,while the treatment group exhibited superior results.CONCLUSIONS:This TCM showed promising results in reducing depressive symptoms and improving daily abilities in patients with TNBC and comorbid depression,which was verified by the increase in serum levels of dopamine and serotonin,suggesting the potential involvement of these neurotransmitters in the therapeutic effects of this TCM. 展开更多

Triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC)represents an aggressive breast cancer subtype with poor prognosis and limited targeted treatment options.This investigation examined the anticancer potential of Caerulomycin A(Cae A),a natural compound derived from marine actinomycetes,against TNBC.Cae A demonstrated selective inhibition of viability and proliferation in TNBC cell lines,including 4T1,MDA-MB-231,and MDA-MB-468,through apoptosis induction.Mechanistic analyses revealed that the compound induced sustained endoplasmic reticulum(ER)stress and subsequent upregulation of C/EBP homologous protein(CHOP)expression,resulting in mitochondrial damage-mediated apoptosis.Inhibition of ER stress or CHOP expression knockdown reversed mitochondrial damage and apoptosis,highlighting the essential role of ER stress and CHOP in Cae A's anti-tumor mechanism.Both oxygen consumption rate(OCR)and extracellular acidification rate(ECAR)decreased in TNBC cells following Cae A treatment,indicating reduced mitochondrial respiratory and glycolytic capacities.This diminished energy metabolism potentially triggers ER stress and subsequent apoptosis.Furthermore,Cae A exhibited significant anti-tumor effects in the 4T1 tumor model in vivo without apparent toxicity.The compound also effectively inhibited human TNBC organoid growth.These results indicate that Cae A may serve as a potential therapeutic agent for TNBC,with its efficacy likely mediated through the disruption of glucose metabolism and the induction of ER stress-associated apoptosis. 展开更多

BACKGROUND Patients with gastric cancer may have a risk of depression after radical surgery,which affects recovery and requires intensive intervention.AIM To explore the role of Bifidobacterium triple viable bacteria-assisted mirtazapine in patients with depression after radical surgery for gastric cancer.METHODS This study included 80 patients with gastric cancer who experienced depression after undergoing radical surgery from January 2022 to December 2023 at Jiangnan University Hospital in Wuxi city in Jiangsu province.The patients were categorized into the control group(n=40)treated with mirtazapine and observation group(n=40)treated with combined Bifidobacterium triple viable bacteria-assisted mirtazapine.Neuroendocrine index,intestinal flora level,nutrition status,and patient quality of life were analyzed.RESULTS Before drug index level,no statistically significant difference was observed between the two groups (P>0.05).After drug administration,both groups experienced a decline in depression scores,cortisol,Escherichia coli,Enterococcus faecalis levels,and quality of life scores,whereas dopamine,serotonin,Lactobacillus,Bifidobacteria,hemoglobin,serum albumin and prealbumin levels increased.The observation group demonstrated significantly greater improvements across these indicators,with significant differences within groups and between groups(P<0.05).CONCLUSION Bifidobacterium has a relieving effect on depression in patients after radical surgery for gastric cancer,improves neuroendocrine status,regulates intestinal flora,and improves nutritional status and quality of life. 展开更多

Triple point path prediction for height of burst explosion in highaltitude environment

Accurately forecasting the triple point(TP)path is essential for analyzing blast loads and assessing the destructive effectiveness of the height of burst explosion.Empirical models that describe the TP path under normal temperature and pressure environments are commonly employed;however,in certain configurations,such as at high-altitudes(HAs),the environment may involve low temperature and pressure conditions.The present study develops a theoretical prediction model for the TP path under reduced pressure and temperature conditions,utilizing the image bursts method,reflected polar analysis,and dimensional analysis.The model's accuracy is evaluated through numerical simulations and experimental data.Results indicate that the prediction model effectively evaluates the TP path under diminished temperature and pressure conditions,with most predictions falling within a±15%deviation.It was found that the TP height increases with altitude.As the altitude rises from 0 m to 10,000 m,the average TP height increases by 61.7%,87.9%,109.0%,and 134.3%for the scaled height of burst of 1.5 m,2.0 m,2.5 m,and 3.0 m,respectively.Moreover,the variation in TP height under HA environments closely mirrors that observed under corresponding reduced pressure conditions.In HA environments,only the effect of low-pressure conditions on the TP path needs to be considered,as the environmental lowtemperature has a minimal effect. 展开更多

This article discusses the original article published by Lu et al in the latest issue.The article confirmed through a cohort study the clinical efficacy of the triple live bacteria of Bifidobacterium combined with mirtazapine in treating postoperative depression of gastric cancer patients,also explored the multi-target therapeutic mechanisms of Bifidobacterium triple viable bacteria combined with mirtazapine in managing depression in patients after radical gastrectomy for gastric cancer for the first time.The results indicated that Bifidobacterium could alleviate depression in patients after radical gastrectomy for gastric cancer.Gastric cancer patients undergoing surgery frequently experience postoperative psychological disorders,notably depression.These conditions not only impair quality of life but also negatively impact disease-free and overall survival.This editorial explores the underestimated psychological challenges following gastric cancer surgery,including depression,anxiety,adjustment disorders,and post-traumatic stress disorder.It further examines the therapeutic potential of Bifidobacterium triple viable probiotics,combined with mirtazapine,in alleviating postoperative depression through microbiological,immunological,and neurological mechanisms.Clinical evidence highlights additional benefits,such as improved gastrointestinal function,enhanced immunity,and better nutritional status,underscoring a holistic approach to postoperative care.While promising,further large-scale trials are needed to optimize and personalize probiotic-based interventions. 展开更多

BACKGROUND Breast cancer is a leading cause of cancer-related mortality among women worldwide,with invasive ductal carcinoma(IDC)being the most prevalent subtype.Lymph node metastasis is the primary prognostic indicator,typically evaluated via biopsy of the ipsilateral sentinel or axillary lymph nodes.Contralateral axillary metastasis(CAM)without ipsilateral involvement is exceedingly rare,particularly in early-stage breast cancer.This report presents a case of CAM in a patient with triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC),underscoring diagnostic and therapeutic complexities.CASE SUMMARY A 73-year-old female presented with left-sided early-stage IDC in February 2023.Despite a modified radical mastectomy and pathologically negative ipsilateral lymph nodes,a postoperative positron emission tomography(PET)scan detected fluorodeoxyglucose-avid nodes in the contralateral axilla.Biopsy confirmed metastatic ductal carcinoma with triple-negative status,resulting in an upstaged diagnosis of metastatic breast cancer,stage IV,M1.The patient underwent six cycles of adjuvant chemotherapy,with follow-up PET imaging showing regression of the contralateral lesion.This case highlights the importance of advanced imaging in TNBC for precise staging and treatment optimization.CONCLUSION This case highlights the aggressive nature of TNBC and the need for advanced imaging to ensure accurate staging and effective management. 展开更多

Background:Intratumoral flora and its metabolites play an important role in the occurrence,development and treatment of cancer,and are correlated with the genotype expression of breast cancer;However,the internal relationship between intratumoral flora and triple negative breast cancer(TNBC)has not been elucidated.Methods:Fourteen patients with TNBC who met the criteria were included.The tumor tissues and adjacent tissues were respectively taken as the patient group and the control group.The 5R 16S sequencing technique was used to detect the abundance and distribution of the intratumoral flora between the two groups,and the differences between the groups were analyzed to find the bacteria with significant differences between groups(P<0.05).Results:The abundance of intratumoral microbiota in TNBC patients was significantly lower than that in adjacent tissues(P<0.05).The differential bacteria in TNBC tumors(P<0.05)included Acinetobacter,Renibacterium,Flavobacterium,Dechloromonas and others.The differential bacteria genera(P<0.05)in the adjacent tissues included Comamonas,Bacillus,Caulobacter,Afipia,Aerococcus,Roseomonas and so on.Conclusion:There is a significant difference in the flora structure between the tumor and normal tissues in TNBC patients.Proteobacteria plays an important role in the occurrence,development and treatment of TNBC.Among them,Acinetobacter may be the key reason for the metastasis of TNBC. 展开更多

Triple negative breast cancer(TNBC)is an exceptionally aggressive subtype of breast cancer with a poor prognosis.TNBC patients have limited treatment options beyond conventional chemotherapy,and they face significant challenges associated with disease recurrence and resistance to chemotherapy.The phosphoinositide 3-kinase(PI3K)/protein kinase B(AKT)/mechanistic target of rapamycin(mTOR)signaling pathway plays a pivotal role in cell proliferation,growth,metabolism,and survival.Its aberrant activation is closely linked to the development and progression of TNBC,as well as treatment response and drug resistance.Currently,numerous targeted drugs specifically inhibiting this signaling pathway are being developed and undergoing clinical trials.These include inhibitors targeting PI3K,AKT,or mTOR individually,as well as dual-target or multi-target inhibitors simultaneously targeting different components of this pathway.Encouragingly,some inhibitors have demonstrated promising potential in clinical trials.This review delves into the therapeutic potential of the PI3K/AKT/mTOR signaling pathway for TNBC and explores prospects for drug discovery. 展开更多

BACKGROUND Standard triple therapy is an effective treatment for eradicating Helicobacter pylori infection,but it is encountered with drug resistance.The stool antigen test is a cost-effective and easy-to-perform test to confirm the eradication of H.pylori,4-8 weeks post-therapy,with 86%sensitivity and 92%specificity.AIM To assess the H.pylori eradication rate of standard triple therapy and factors affecting the eradication rate.METHODS We conducted a prospective,multicenter follow-up study in Addis Ababa,Ethiopia,at selected healthcare facilities among dyspeptic patients with positive stool H.pylori antigen tests from June 1,2023 to October 30,2023 to assess the H.pylori eradication rate.After completing the standard triple therapy,the eradication was confirmed using a stool antigen test 4 weeks later.The data were analyzed using bivariate and multivariate logistic regression methods.RESULTS The H.pylori eradication rate was 85.4%.Patients with a previous diagnosis of H.pylori infection,smokers,and local alcohol consumption were associated with a lower H.pylori eradication rate,with adjusted odds ratio(AORs)of 0.159[95%confidence interval(CI):0.050-0.511],0.206(95%CI:0.052-0.822),and 0.228(95%CI:0.052-0.997),respectively.Patients with complete symptom resolution were 5.383 times more likely to achieve eradication than patients without symptom improvement,AOR=5.383,95%CI:1.74-21.089.CONCLUSION H.pylori eradication rate was lower than expected.Post-treatment testing is crucial to confirm eradication and guide further management,such as susceptibility testing. 展开更多

Discoidin domain receptor 1(DDR1)is overexpressed in various tumors,such as triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC),and is rarely expressed in normal tissues.These characteristics make DDR1 a preferable target candidate for the construction of an antibody-drug conjugate(ADC)for targeted therapy.Here,we investigated the preparation and preclinical efficacy of DDR1-DX8951,an ADC that includes an anti-DDR1 monoclonal antibody conjugated to DX8951 by a cleavable Gly-Gly-Phe-Gly(GGFG)linker.The anti-DDR1 monoclonal antibody was coupled to DX8951(i.e.,DDR1-DX8951),producing the targeted therapy ADC.The antitumor activities of DDR1-DX8951 monotherapy or DDR1-DX8951 plus pembrolizumab were assessed in TNBC mouse models.DDR1-DX8951 can specifically target DDR1,be quickly internalized by TNBC cells,and reduce the viability of TNBC cells in vitro.The potent antitumor activity of DDR1-DX8951 was revealed in TNBC xenograft models.Importantly,our investigation demonstrated that DDR1-DX8951 plus pembrolizumab not only revealed the inhibitory efficacy on tumor growth and metastasis but also played an important role in improving the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment(TME)of TNBC.Taken together,this investigation provides justification for large-sample studies to further assess the safety and efficacy of DDR1-DX8951 plus pembrolizumab for TNBC clinical trials. 展开更多

The mutual coupling of structure and magnetism is crucial for Heusler alloys.In this paper,Ni_(50)Mn_(34)Sb_(16-x)Ga_(x)(0≤x≤16)alloys were prepared by arc melting.Based on the test results of structure and magnetism,the magnetic-structural phase diagram of Ni_(50)Mn_(34)Sb_(16-x)Ga_(x)(0≤x≤16)was drawn.The structure changes from cubic to monoclinic and finally to tetragonal as the x increases at room temperature.Its phase diagram shows a morphotropic phase boundary(MPB)starting from a tricritical triple point(around the Ni_(50)Mn_(34)Sb_(5)Ga_(11)alloy)of a cubic paramagnetic phase,ferromagnetic monoclinic,and antiferromagnetic tetragonal phases.And Ni_(50)Mn_(34)Sb_(5)Ga_(11)alloy has experienced five different phase states:paramagnetic austenite→ferromagnetic austenite→antiferromagnetic martensite→ferromagnetic martensite→spin glass as the temperature decreased.Further study of the alloys’magnetostrictive properties near the MPB showed that as x increases,a negative strain initially appears,followed by a W-type that crosses negative and positive strains,and then a positive strain.This is caused by the inconsistency in the speed and degree of magnetic domain walls response with monoclinic and tetragonal coexisting structures.This indicates that coupling between structure and magnetism is critical to the properties of materials.This work provides valuable insights into the magnetostrictive behavior and structural evolution of Heusler alloys,particularly in the context of MPB systems,and offers guidance for the design and optimization of material properties through controlled magnetic-structural interactions.Kindly check and confirm the edit made in the title.The edit made in the title has been confirmed to be accurate. 展开更多

Triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC)is one of the most lethal diseases and lack of feasible therapeutic methods.Herein,we developed a bioactive covalent organic framework(COF)for adoptive cell therapy(ACT)of TNBC.In our design,Mn^(2+)functionalized COF was employed as a bioactive CpG carrier,which could simultaneously engineer and polarize macrophages to the antitumor phenotype,via the synergistic interaction of CpG and Mn^(2+).In the in vitro experiments,the engineered macrophages were found to secret high levels of antitumor cytokines for efficient TNBC cell inhibition.In the in vivo antitumor model,bioactive COF-engineered macrophages were found to relieve the hypoxia tumor microenvironment,enabling prevention of immune cell depletion during ACT.Thus,we realized efficient TNBC therapy and metastasis inhibition with the engineered macrophages in a long-term therapy model.This work provides a promising strategy for metastatic TNBC treatment and highlights the importance of bioactive COF in biomedicine. 展开更多

A triple-band miniaturized end-fire antenna based on the odd modes of spoof surface plasmonic polariton(SSPP)waveguide resonator is proposed in this paper.To meet the ever increasing demand for more communication channels and less antenna sizes,multi-band antennas are currently under intensive investigation.By a novel feeding method,three odd modes are excited on an SSPP waveguide resonator,which performs as an end-fire antenna operating at three bands,7.15-7.26 GHz,11.6-12.2 GHz and 13.5-13.64 GHz.It exhibits reasonably high and stable maximum gains of 5.26 dBi,7.97 dBi and 10.1 dBi and maximum efficiencies of 64%,92%and 98%at the three bands,respectively.Moreover,in the second band,the main beam angle shows a frequency dependence with a total scanning angle of 19°.The miniaturized triple-band antenna has a great potential in wireless communication systems,satellite communication and radar systems. 展开更多

Promoting the high penetration of renewable energies like photovoltaic(PV)systems has become an urgent issue for expanding modern power grids and has accomplished several challenges compared to existing distribution grids.This study measures the effectiveness of the Puma optimizer(PO)algorithm in parameter estimation of PSC(perovskite solar cells)dynamic models with hysteresis consideration considering the electric field effects on operation.The models used in this study will incorporate hysteresis effects to capture the time-dependent behavior of PSCs accurately.The PO optimizes the proposed modified triple diode model(TDM)with a variable voltage capacitor and resistances(VVCARs)considering the hysteresis behavior.The suggested PO algorithm contrasts with other wellknown optimizers from the literature to demonstrate its superiority.The results emphasize that the PO realizes a lower RMSE(Root mean square errors),which proves its capability and efficacy in parameter extraction for the models.The statistical results emphasize the efficiency and supremacy of the proposed PO compared to the other well-known competing optimizers.The convergence rates show good,fast,and stable convergence rates with lower RMSE via PO compared to the other five competitive optimizers.Moreover,the lowermean realized via the PO optimizer is illustrated by the box plot for all optimizers. 展开更多
