The map, which was surveyed and composed between 1660 and 1670, is exceptional from several points of view: the vast impenetrable territory covering a strip of land of about 700 × 400 km was mapped by one man, Augustin Herrman “Bohemian” (as he called himself) and by his crew during 10-year surveying and trigonometric measurements. It seems that this extraordinary map belongs among the first geodetically surveyed maps of the American territory. In 1960 altogether 5 copies of the map, complete in four parts, were known in British, French and American Libraries and map collections.展开更多

Initial prodiabetic risk profiles were invented here with three female study groups consisting of primarily healthy women (A1: 1990-1999, n = 160;A2: 2009, n = 88;A: n = 248, 36 ± 14 years;B: 2014: n = 65, aged 3...Initial prodiabetic risk profiles were invented here with three female study groups consisting of primarily healthy women (A1: 1990-1999, n = 160;A2: 2009, n = 88;A: n = 248, 36 ± 14 years;B: 2014: n = 65, aged 37± 11 years). Significantly higher blood pressure was found comparing intolerance versus tolerance to glucose (p p p = 0.02), of fasting blood glucose (p = 0.07) and of urine pathology (p = 0.07). High LDL-C of women who reported smoking at baseline was correlated with diastolic hypertension whereby alcohol problems overlapped (p = 0.036, A). Unhealthy combinations were found consisting of LDL-related intolerance to glucose, LDL-related smoking, of alcohol-related hypertriglyceridemia or of combined drinking and smoking testing urine pathology over the course of time. Obese women were at direct risk for hypertension in the presence of high LDL-C and submaximal ratio of serum albumin to triglycerides (Alb/Trig). Obese women reacted highly sensitive to critical alcohol consumption showing then macroalbuminuria. Current participants who disowned daily alcohol consumption showed healthy morning urines and normal fasting blood glucose. Mild decrease of HDL-C was observed during heavy smoking of relatively young women who had normal biomarkers. Women with intolerance to glucose were at direct risk for hypertension whereby high LDL-C and/or smoking triggered prodiabetic risk profiles. In addition, these diseases are closely related in pathophysiological settin...Hyperlipidemia, type 2 diabetes mellitus, nonalcoholic fatty liver and many other metabolic disorder are frequently co-existing in patients. In addition, these diseases are closely related in pathophysiological settings. However, increasing of the disease incidence, lacking of comprehensive prevention and control measurements against the key pathology point concomitant occurrence with the pattem of the single disease, single target therapy, that is leading therapeutic strategy for these metabolic disorders in the setting of Western medicine (WM). On the basis of the combination of the advantages of integrated Chinese medicine (CM) and WM, with unified understanding of such diseases, the new concept of glucolipid metabolic disease (GLMD) is introduced. In this new concept, disorders in glucose and lipid metabolism are recognized as the key trigger and major driving force for the progress of GLMD. The key points of pathology included dysfunction of neuronal-endocrine-immune system,insulin resistance, oxidative stress, inflammation and intestinal flora imbalance. In the core pathogenic perspective of CM, it can be explained as "Gan (Liver) Shi Shu Xie" (dysfunction of Gan in metabolism and emotion regulation) that will lead to the occurence/production of endogenous dampness and phlegm, blood stasis and turbid. This leads to the new concept of "Liver-based regulatory system for metabolic homeostasis" to be introduced further. The comprehensive prevention and control strategy "Tiao Gan Qi Shu Hua Zhuo" (modulating Gan, trigging key metabolic system to resolve pathogenic factors such as phlegm retention and dampness). Its representative formula Fufang Zhenzhu Tiaozhi Capsule (复方贞术调脂胶囊) is innovated under such rationales. Comment for some commonly-used CM GLMD therapeutic drugs was presented. The Trig_3-CNS(NMM) element can be considered as a development of both the Trig_3-CNS element and the numerical manifold method(NMM).Inheriting all the advantages of Trig_3-CNS element, calculations using Trig_3-CNS(NMM) element can obtain higher accuracy than Trig_3 element without extra degrees of freedom(DOFs) and yield continuous nodal stress without stress smoothing. Inheriting all the advantages of NMM, Trig_3-CNS(NMM) element can conveniently treat crack problems without deploying conforming mathematical mesh. In this paper,complex problems such as a crucifix crack and a star-shaped crack with many branches are studied to exhibit the advantageous features of the Trig_3-CNS(NMM) element. This Trig3-RPIM element employs hybrid shape functions that combine the shape functions of three-node triangular element (Trig3) and radial-polynomial basis functions for the purpose of synergizing the merits of both finite element method and meshfree method. Although Trig3-RPIM element is capable of obtaining higher accuracy and convergence rate than the Trig3 element and four-node iso-parametric quadrilateral element without adding extra nodes or degrees of freedom (DOFs), the nodal stress field through Trig3-RP1M element is not continuous and extra stress smooth operations are still needed in the post processing stage. To further improve the property of Trig3-RPIM element, a new PU-based triangular element with continuous nodal stress, called Trig3-RPIMcns, is developed.
