The phase transformation kinetic information was obtained by adopting lever rule from the recorded dilatometric curves. The results show that an inverse stabilization, featured by the damage of "the atmosphere of carbon atoms" and the increase of the starting temperature for martensite transformation takes place when the T91 ferritic steel is isothermally treated above the Ms point, and it becomes strong with increasing the holding time. While the continued temperature for martensite transformation decreases gradually when isothermally holding at a temperature below Ms point. The observed inverse stabilization behavior could be attributed to the relatively high temperature of Ms point in the explored T91 ferritic heat-resistant steel.展开更多

The investigation was accompanied with the calculation of Rayleigh numbers. It is found that Ti is the main segregating element and the content of Ti is the highest in the final liquid at the cooling rates of 3-6℃/min.The eta phase(η) precipitate presented in the residual liquid at the cooling rates higher than 6℃/min is responsible for the fluctuations in the curves of Ti content. The dendrite arm spacing is found to markedly decrease with the increase of cooling rate. The maximum relative Rayleigh number occurs at 10-20℃below the liquidus temperature at a cooling rate of 1℃/min,where the mushy zone is most unstable and fluid flow is most prone to occur.展开更多

Development of marker-free transgenic wheat plants will help to facilitate biosafety evaluation and the eventual environmental release of transgenic wheat varieties. In this study, the marker-free transgenic wheat plants previously obtained by Agrobacterium-mediated co-transformation of double T-DNAs vector were identified by fluorescence in situ hybridization(FISH) in the T1 generation, and their genetic stability and agronomic traits were analyzed in T2 and T3 generations. FISH analysis indicated that the transgene often integrated into a position at the distal region of wheat chromosomes. Furthermore, we show that the GUS transgene was stably inherited in the marker-free transgenic plants in T1 to T3 generations. No significant differences in agronomic traits or grain characteristics were observed in T3 generation, with the exception of a small variation in spike length and grains per spike in a few lines. The selection marker of bar gene was not found in the transgenic plants through T1 to T3 generations. The results from this investigation lay a solid foundation for the potential application of the marker-free transgenic wheat plants achieved through the co-transformation of double T-DNAs vector by Agrobacterium in agriculture after biosafty evaluation.展开更多

For Ni-rich Ti80-xNixHf20 alloys, their phase transformation temperatures are averagely increased more than 100 K by aging at 823 K for 2 h. Especially for the alloys with Ni-content of 50.4 at. pct and 50.6 at. pct, their martensitic transformation start temperatures (Ms) are more than 473 K after aging. TEM observation confirmed that some fine particles precipitate from the matrix during aging. The aged Ni-rich TiNiHf SMAs show the better thermal stability of phase transformation temperatures than the solutiontreated TiNiHf alloys. The fine particles precipitated during aging should be responsible for the increase of phase transformation temperatures and its high stability.展开更多

Numerical results show that vector transformation is a new method in studying the stability problem of the GM(1,1) power model.

文摘Cu-Al-Co and Cu-Al-Zr alloys were explored with Co or Zr additions in Cu-Al alloys for high temperature shape memory alloys. Samples were quenched after homogenized at 850℃ for 48h. It was found that both Cu-Al-Co and Cu-Al-Zr show AlCus martensitic phase at room temperature and exhibit martensitic transformation temperatures higher than 200℃, showing the potentials for developing as high temperature shape memory alloys. Thermal cycles were performed by DSC instrument on both Cu-Al-Co and Cu-Al-Zr alloys. The results show that Cu-Al-Co loses its martensitic transformation after five thermal cycles, and Cu-Al-Zr exhibits no martensitic transformation in the second thermal cycle.

文摘Scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and energy dispersive X-ray analysis(EDAX) were used to study the microstructure, microsegregation, and fluid flow tendency of the superalloy Waspaloy in the mushy zone, which had been solidified at different cooling rates. The maximum relative Rayleigh number occurs at 10-20℃below the liquidus temperature at a cooling rate of 1℃/min,where the mushy zone is most unstable and fluid flow is most prone to occur.

文摘The phase stability, magnetic properties, martensitic transformation, and electronic properties of the Ni_(2−x)Mn_(1+x+y)Sn_(1−y) system with excess Mn have been systematically investigated by the first-principles calculations. Results indicate that the excess Mn atoms will directly occupy the sublattices of Ni(MnNi)or Sn(MnSn).The formation energy(Ef)of the austenite has a relationship with the Mn content:Ef=135.27(1+x+y)−293.01,that is,the phase stability of the austenite decreases gradually with the increase in Mn content.According to the results of the formation energy of austenite, there is an antiparallel arrangement of the magnetic moment between the excess and normal Mn atoms in the Ni_(2−x)Mn_(1+x+y)Sn_(1−y)(x=0 or y=0)system,while the magnetic moment direction of the normal Mn atoms arranges antiparallel to that of MnNi atoms and parallel to that of MnSn atoms in the Ni_(2−x)Mn_(1+x+y)Sn_(1−y)(x,y≠0)system.The martensitic transformation occurs in some Ni_(2−x)Mn_(1+x+y)Sn_(1−y)(x,y≠0)alloys with large magnetic moments of ferrimagnetic austenite.Besides, the valence electrons tend to distribute around the Ni or MnNi atoms and mainly bond with the normal Mn atoms. The results of this work can lay a theoretical foundation for further development of the Ni_(2−x)Mn_(1+x+y)Sn_(1−y) system as the potential ferromagnetic shape memory alloys.

文摘Theβsolidifiedγ-TiAl alloy holds important application value in the aerospace industry, while its com-plex phase compositions and geometric structures pose challenges to its microstructure control during the thermal-mechanical process. The microstructure evolution of Ti-43Al-4Nb-1Mo-0.2B alloy at 1200℃/0.01 s−1 was investigated to clarify the coupling role of dynamic recrystallization(DRX)and phase transformation. The results revealed that the rate of DRX inα2+γlamellar colonies was comparatively slower than that inβo+γmixed structure, instead being accompanied by intense lamellar kinking and rotation. The initiation and development rates of DRX inα2,βo,andγphases decreased sequentially. The asynchronous DRX of the various geometric structures and phase compositions resulted in the un-even deformed microstructure, and the dynamic softening induced by lamellar kinking and rotation was replaced by strengthened DRX as strain increased.Additionally, the blockyα2 phase and the terminals ofα2 lamellae were the preferential DRX sites owing to the abundant activated slip systems.Theα2→βo transformation within lamellar colonies facilitated DRX and fragment ofα2 lamellae, while theα2→γtransformation promoted the decomposition ofα2 lamellae and DRX ofγlamellae. Moreover, the var-iedβo+γmixed structures underwent complicated evolution:(1)Theγ→βo transformation occurred at boundaries of lamellar colonies, followed by simultaneous DRX ofγlamellar terminals and neighboringβo phase;(2)DRX occurred earlier within the band-likeβo phase, with the delayed DRX in enclosedγphase;(3)DRX within theβo synapses and neighboringγphase was accelerated owing to generation of elastic stress field;(4)Dispersedβo particles triggered particle stimulated nucleation(PSN)ofγphase.Eventually, atomic diffusion along crystal defects inβo andγphases caused fracture of band-likeβo phase and formation of massiveβo particles, impeding grain boundary migration and hindering DRXed grain growth ofγphase.

文摘The deformation accompanied by austenite to martensite trans-formation was first studied in Fe-Ni alloys,high-Mn steels, and austenitic stainless steels with a full austenite microstructure. The plasticity of these steels can be improved by the trans-formation during deformation and hence they were named as transformation-induced plasticity(TRIP)steels[1].Over the past few decades,a series of TRIP steels with multiphase microstructure for automotive applications were developed. These steels contain-ing a certain amount of austenite were called TRIP-assisted steels, such as low-alloy TRIP steels[2],carbide-free bainitic steels[3],δ-TRIP steels[4],quenching and partitioning steels[5],and medium-Mn steels[6].The mechanical property of TRIP steels is largely determined by the mechanical stability of austenite[7]which de-pends on the chemical composition[8],grain size[9],orientation[10],and morphology[11]of austenite grains,as well as the nature of neighboring phases[12].In most cases of TRIP-assisted steels, larger austenite grains transform to martensite earlier or faster than smaller austenite grains with the increase of macrostrain[13-18],indicating lower mechanical stability. However, larger austen-ite grains usually contain less C and Mn[13,17-19]and suffer more strain than smaller grains during deformation[20],it doesn’t mean that grain refinement increases the mechanical stability of austen-ite.

文摘Genetically modified wheat has not been commercially utilized in agriculture largely due to regulatory hurdles associated with traditional transformation methods. The results from this investigation lay a solid foundation for the potential application of the marker-free transgenic wheat plants achieved through the co-transformation of double T-DNAs vector by Agrobacterium in agriculture after biosafty evaluation.
文摘The use of Ni-rich TiNiHf alloys as high temperature shape memory alloys (SMAs) through aging has been presented. The fine particles precipitated during aging should be responsible for the increase of phase transformation temperatures and its high stability.
