In order to adequately reflect the objective reality of modern transfrontier processes, the author distinguishes within the multi-layered concept of ＇transfrontier＇ three levels as far as spatial dimensions are concerned： macro, mezzo and micro.The proposed definition of the nature and types of modern cross-border processes has the great theoretical and practical significance. This is evidenced, for example, in the work on quantitative and qualitative assessment oftransborder processes. Presented the basic notions of the developed system on indexation and monitoring of transborder cooperation at the new Eastern border of the European Union.展开更多

This retrospective study explores the transformation of the China-Myanmar Economic Corridor(CMEC)from a material-driven“economic corridor”into a multidimensional“cultural corridor.”Drawing on the theoretical frame...This retrospective study explores the transformation of the China-Myanmar Economic Corridor(CMEC)from a material-driven“economic corridor”into a multidimensional“cultural corridor.”Drawing on the theoretical frameworks of transborder regionalism and cultural corridor theory,the paper reconstructs the evolution of Yunnan-Myanmar cross-border interaction from historical,institutional,and humanistic perspectives.Through an analysis of major infrastructure projects,educational cooperation,and cultural industries,the study demonstrates how spatial connectivity has gradually facilitated social embeddedness and cultural interflow.Findings indicate that economic connectivity constitutes the material foundation of humanistic exchange,while cultural interaction extends and deepens the corridor’s social dimension.The synergy between policy guidance and grassroots participation has enabled Yunnan to act as both a national executor and a local innovator in shaping transborder cooperation.The study further argues that the emergence of a cultural corridor represents a new model of regional coexistence-linking physical space with human networks and integrating economic growth with cultural trust.The research contributes to the understanding of cross-border governance and China-ASEAN cultural collaboration by proposing three policy implications:(1)constructing multi-level cultural cooperation networks;(2)promoting co-creation and innovation in the cultural and creative sectors;and(3)enhancing institutional support for sustainable humanistic governance.It concludes that the CMEC’s long-term significance lies not only in material connectivity but in its capacity to foster mutual understanding,social resilience,and a shared regional identity.展开更多
