Vehicle load is among the main factors affecting the deformation of subgrade soil.In this research study,the concept of impact type traffic load is introduced to investigate the effects of vehicle load based on the dy...Vehicle load is among the main factors affecting the deformation of subgrade soil.In this research study,the concept of impact type traffic load is introduced to investigate the effects of vehicle load based on the dynamic stress and displacement time histories acquired from seasonal frozen subgrade soils.Using freezing-thawing and dynamic triaxial tests and considering the amplitude and loading sequence of impact type traffic load,the residual deformation characteristics of subgrade soil under impact type traffic loads and freezing-thawing cycles is studied.It was found that under impact type traffic load,the residual deformation of soils increased sharply as the amplitude of impact type traffic load increased.It was also found that the increase in the amplitude of impact type traffic load led to the increase of residual deformation in a scale of power and exponential function.The amplitudes of impact type traffic load affect the development stress-strain path of the residual strain.After the soil experienced the proper amount of pre-vibration of the light load,residual deformation decreased by 15%.After freezing-thawing,the residual strain of soil increased as the amplitude of the impact type traffic loads increased.Also,when the amplification effect of freezing-thawing on the residual strain was basically stable,the residual deformation increased by about 10%.The peak impact type traffic load had a large effect on soil deformation after the freezing-thawing process,leading to the observation that of the earlier the peaks,the stronger the effect of freezing-thawing.After the soil was subjected to preloading with a small load,the influence of the freezing-thawing cycles gradually stabilized.The results may be useful in preventing and controlling the risk of subgrade soil failure when construction takes place spring thaw periods.展开更多

In this paper, we study diffusion-type traffic flow model based on exponential velocity density relation, which provides a non-linear second-order parabolic partial differential equation. The analytical solution of the diffusion-type traffic flow model is very complicated to approximate the initial density of the Cauchy problem as a function of x from given data and it may cause a huge error. For the complexity of the analytical solution, the numerical solution is performed by implementing an explicit upwind, explicitly centered, and second-order Lax-Wendroff scheme for the numerical solution. From the comparison of relative error among these three schemes, it is observed that Lax-Wendroff scheme gives less error than the explicit upwind and explicit centered difference scheme. The numerical, analytical analysis and comparative result discussion bring out the fact that the Lax-Wendroff scheme with exponential velocity-density relation of diffusion type traffic flow model is suitable for the congested area and shows a better fit in traffic-congested regions.展开更多
Towards line speed and accurateness on-line content popularity monitoring on Content Centric Networking(CCN) routers, we propose a three-stage scheme based on Bloom filters and hash tables for differentiated traffic. ...Towards line speed and accurateness on-line content popularity monitoring on Content Centric Networking(CCN) routers, we propose a three-stage scheme based on Bloom filters and hash tables for differentiated traffic. At the first stage, we decide whether to deliver the content to the next stage depending on traffic types. The second stage consisting of Standard Bloom filters(SBF) and Counting Bloom filters(CBF) identifies the popular content. Meanwhile, a scalable sliding time window based monitoring scheme for different traffic types is proposed to implement frequent and real-time updates by the change of popularities. Hash tables according with sliding window are used to record the popularity at the third stage. Simulation results reveal that this method reaches a 40 Gbps processing speed at lower error probability with less memory, and it is more sensitive to the change of popularity. Additionally, the architecture which can be implemented in CCN router is flexible and scalable.展开更多
This paper takes Wuhan’s traffic signs as the research object,and collects the Chinese and English traffic signs in large quantities to build a small corpus.According to the text type theory proposed by German functi...This paper takes Wuhan’s traffic signs as the research object,and collects the Chinese and English traffic signs in large quantities to build a small corpus.According to the text type theory proposed by German functionalist school Katarina Rice,in this article the traffic signs are classified into three categories:information type text identifier,expression type text identifier and opera⁃tion type text identifier according to six functions including indication,prompt,restriction,compulsory,persuasion and publicity.It attempts to reveal the characteristics of Chinese signs and English translations of different text types,and to explore the translation and semantic rhyme of the word"forbidden"in the English translation of high-frequency vocabulary in traffic signs.It aims to pro⁃vide reference for the English translation of traffic signs,create a good language environment,shape a good city image,and increase the degree of China's internationalization.展开更多
