A method of treating pulpless coloured anterior tooth is presented.Most part ofthe coloured dentin of the labial crown was removed and the dental structure was bleachedwith 30% hydrogen peroxide for 5min.The pulp cavity was then filled with whitephoto-curing composite.The result of the treatment is quite satisfactory.With our treatment,the intact contour of the crown and the hardness and gloss of the enamel are preserved.SEM proved that the composite was tightly bound with the enamel of the medial wall of thepulp cavity,forming an entity with the tooth,thus guaranteeing the strength of the crown. 展开更多

Bleaching with oxygen-containing agents and recirculation of process streams in the pulp and paper industry has increased the accumulation of oxalic acid and danger for precipitation of calcium oxalate encrusts, scaling. Analysis and control of oxalic acid in bleaching filtrates is therefore becoming increasingly important in the pulp and paper industry. Chromatographic methods, such as IC and HPLC, are generally more time-consuming but are valuable as standard methods for determination of oxalic acid. However, the instrumentation needed is expensive and stationary. In this study, an enzymatic method based on oxalate oxidase and peroxidase was developed to determine oxalic acid in authentic bleaching filtrates using a spectrophotometer. The results showed that bleaching filtrates contain some compounds interfering with the enzymatic method. Pretreatment of the samples with activated charcoal was a successful approach for decreasing problems with interference. By using dilution followed by charcoal treatment, the results obtained from five bleaching filtrates with the colorimetric method correlated very well with those obtained using IC. This study offers a selective, fast and mobile analysis method to determine oxalic acid in bleaching fiRrates from the pulp and paper industry, The convenient enzyme-based method improves the possibilities for control of critical oxalic acid concentrations in closed-loop bleaching streams. 展开更多

This in vitrostudy aims to evaluate the crystal and surface microstructure of dental enamel after cold-light bleaching treatment. Twelve sound human premolars were cross-split into four specimens, namely, mesio-buccal (Group LP), disto-buccal (Group P), mesio-lingual (Group NP) and disto-lingual (Group L) specimens. These four groups were treated using the standard cold-light bleaching procedure, a bleaching agent, a peroxide-free bleaching agent and cold-light, respectively. Before and after treatment, all specimens were analyzed by high-resolution, micro-area X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy. Using a spectrometer, tooth color of all specimens was measured before and after treatment. The phase of the enamel crystals was identified as hydroxyapatite and carbonated hydroxyapatite. After treatment, specimens in Groups LP and P showed significantly weaker X-ray diffraction peaks, significant reduction in crystal size and crystallinity, significant increase in L~ but decrease in a* and b*, and obvious alterations in the surface morphology. However, specimens in Groups NP and L did not show any significant changes. The cold-light bleaching treatment leads to demineralization in the enamel surface. The acidic peroxide-containing bleaching agent was the major cause of demineralization, whereas cold-light did not exhibit significant increase or decrease effect on this demineralization. 展开更多

In this work,synchronous cutting of concave and convex surfaces was achieved using the duplex helical method for the hypoid gear,and the problem of tooth surface error correction was studied.First,the mathematical model of the hypoid gears machined by the duplex helical method was established.Second,the coordinates of discrete points on the tooth surface were obtained by measurement center,and the normal errors of the discrete points were calculated.Third,a tooth surface error correction model is established,and the tooth surface error was corrected using the Levenberg-Marquard algorithm with trust region strategy and least square method.Finally,grinding experiments were carried out on the machining parameters obtained by Levenberg-Marquard algorithm with trust region strategy,which had a better effect on tooth surface error correction than the least square method.After the tooth surface error is corrected,the maximum absolute error is reduced from 30.9μm before correction to 6.8μm,the root mean square of the concave error is reduced from 15.1 to 2.1μm,the root mean square of the convex error is reduced from 10.8 to 1.8μm,and the sum of squared errors of the concave and convex surfaces was reduced from 15471 to 358μm^(2).It is verified that the Levenberg-Marquard algorithm with trust region strategy has a good accuracy for the tooth surface error correction of hypoid gear machined by duplex helical method. 展开更多

Objective:To compare 16% carbamide peroxide(CP)with a higher concentration of hydrogen peroxide(HP)for bleaching teeth in office or at-home to erase tetracycline stains on teeth.Materials and methods:In a randomized,self-controlled clinical trial,we assigned eligible subjects to group A with 40% HP compared with 16% CP or group B with 45% CP compared with 16% CP on the split maxillary arch and followed the manufacturers’instructions.Tooth color changes were measured with vita 3D-bleached guide and colorimeter at baseline and three-time assessment.Tooth sensitive intensity was evaluated using numeric rating scales,and oral soft and hard tissue examination was recorded.Patient satisfaction survey was conducted at the last tooth color evaluation.Results:There were 20 subjects enrolled.The color changes by the end of the study were A1(40% HP)=8.22,A2(16% CP)=8.20,B1(45% CP)=11.27,B2(16% CP)=8.26 respectively.All groups experienced significant shade reductions by bleaching,the 45% CP group had significantly greatest color changes compared with the other groups(p=0.03).For tooth sensitivity evaluation,significant differences were observed in 40% HP group(p=0.01),but with mild level.None patients suffered oral soft or hard tissue abnormalities before and after treatment.Patients were more in favor of using 45% CP according to the questionnaire results.Conclusion:The 3 whitening agents were effective and safe for the whitening of tetracycline-stained teeth,the 45% CP agent had quicker whitening efficacy with low tooth sensitivity and positive feedback.Clinical significance:45% of high-concentration CP whitener by at-home using,brought faster and superior efficacy to bleaching tetracycline-stained teeth while had the equal intensity of tooth sensitivity. 展开更多

Impact rock-breaking mechanisms and energy transfer laws of conical tooth bits in hot dry rocks

Based on the finite-discrete element method,a three-dimensional numerical model for axial impact rock breaking was established and validated.A computational method for energy conversion during impact rock breaking was proposed,and the effects of conical tooth forward rake angle,rock temperature,and impact velocity on rock breaking characteristics and energy transfer laws were analyzed.The results show that during single impact rock breaking with conical tooth bits,merely 7.52%to 12.51%of the energy is utilized for rock breaking,while a significant 57.26%to 78.10%is dissipated as frictional loss.An insufficient forward rake angle increases tooth penetration depth and frictional loss,whereas an excessive forward rake angle reduces penetration capability,causing bit rebound and greater energy absorption by the drill rod.Thus,an optimal forward rake angle exists.Regarding environmental factors,high temperatures significantly enhance impact-induced rock breaking.Thermal damage from high temperatures reduces rock strength and inhibits its energy absorption.Finally,higher impact velocities intensify rock damage,yet excessively high velocities increase frictional loss and reduce the proportion of energy absorbed by the rock,thereby failing to substantially improve rock breaking efficiency.An optimal impact velocity exists. 展开更多

西部地区侏罗系岩层钻井法凿井铣齿滚刀破岩力计算模型

针对中国西部地区侏罗系岩层钻井法凿井滚刀磨损严重、破岩效率低下问题,以该工法常用的铣齿滚刀为研究对象,阐明了滚刀与岩石的接触行为,分析了单圈、单排刀齿的破岩模式,推导了垂直力和滚动力计算公式,建立了三刀齿铣齿滚刀破岩力计... 针对中国西部地区侏罗系岩层钻井法凿井滚刀磨损严重、破岩效率低下问题,以该工法常用的铣齿滚刀为研究对象,阐明了滚刀与岩石的接触行为,分析了单圈、单排刀齿的破岩模式,推导了垂直力和滚动力计算公式,建立了三刀齿铣齿滚刀破岩力计算模型;采用数值模拟方法获得了界定破岩模式的临界贯入度,并通过旋转破岩试验验证了破岩力计算模型的合理性;最后,探讨了贯入度、滚刀转速、刀身参数等主要因素对破岩力的影响规律。研究表明,铣齿滚刀单圈刀齿破岩模式可分为递进式破岩和非递进式破岩,单排刀齿破岩模式可分为刀齿协同破岩和刀齿非协同破岩;当h≥5.33mm时,前后排刀齿为递进式破岩;当h≥3.06mm时,同排刀齿为协同破岩;垂直力和滚动力均与贯入度、滚刀转速、刀齿刀刃长度呈正相关关系,减小排间距、齿间距可分别减小递进式破岩、刀齿协同破岩的临界贯入度。研究成果可为西部侏罗系岩层钻井法凿井破岩刀具设计优化,以及类似条件机械破岩机理研究提供有益参考。 展开更多

背景:过氧化氢类漂白剂被广泛用于临床牙齿美白治疗,但其作用机制至今没有统一的定论。目的:检测中性10%过氧化脲和中性40%过氧化氢两种漂白剂对牙齿的影响,探寻牙齿美白的机制。方法:收集因正畸治疗拔除的废弃牙齿45颗,制作牙本质切片... 背景:过氧化氢类漂白剂被广泛用于临床牙齿美白治疗,但其作用机制至今没有统一的定论。目的:检测中性10%过氧化脲和中性40%过氧化氢两种漂白剂对牙齿的影响,探寻牙齿美白的机制。方法:收集因正畸治疗拔除的废弃牙齿45颗,制作牙本质切片后进行抛光处理,去除玷污层后随机分3组,对照组(n=15)放入去离子水中,过氧化脲组(n=15)放入中性10%过氧化脲溶液中,过氧化氢组(n=15)放入中性40%过氧化氢溶液中,每天处理6 h,持续处理1周。利用拉曼光谱仪检测3组样本每天的拉曼绝对强度、拉曼相对强度,计算荧光背景强度(拉曼绝对强度与拉曼相对强度的差值),用红外光谱仪记录3组样品每天酰胺峰值的变化趋势。结果与结论:①3组组内处理1-7 d的拉曼相对强度均未发生明显变化,对照组处理1-7 d的荧光背景强度未发生明显变化,过氧化脲组处理1-7 d的荧光背景强度呈现下降趋势,过氧化氢组处理1-4 d的荧光背景强度显著降低,此后未再发生明显变化;②对照组处理1-7 d的酰胺Ⅰ和酰胺Ⅲ峰值面积未发生明显变化,过氧化脲组、过氧化氢组处理1-7 d的酰胺Ⅰ和酰胺Ⅲ峰值面积均呈下降趋势,并且过氧化氢组下降趋势更明显;③结果表明,牙本质拉曼光谱激光诱导荧光背景强度的改变可能来源于牙本质中的非胶原蛋白成分,并且在美白剂的作用下可能会对牙体组织造成一定不利影响。 展开更多

The influences of machining and misalignment errors play a very critical role in the performance of the anti-backlash double-roller enveloping hourglass worm gear(ADEHWG).However,a corresponding efficient method for eliminating or reducing these errors on the tooth profile of the ADEHWG is seldom reported.The gear engagement equation and tooth profile equation for considering six different errors that could arise from the machining and gear misalignment are derived from the theories of differential geometry and gear meshing.Also,the tooth contact analysis(TCA) is used to systematically investigate the influence of the machining and misalignment errors on the contact curves and the tooth profile by means of numerical analysis and three-dimensional solid modeling.The research results show that vertical angular misalignment of the worm wheel(Δβ) has the strongest influences while the tooth angle error(Δα) has the weakest influences on the contact curves and the tooth profile.A novel efficient approach is proposed and used to minimize the effect of the errors in manufacturing by changing the radius of the grinding wheel and the approaching point of contact.The results from the TCA and the experiment demonstrate that this tooth profile design modification method can indeed reduce the machining and misalignment errors.This modification design method is helpful in understanding the manufacturing technology of the ADEHWG. 展开更多

Tooth modification technique is widely used in gear industry to improve the meshing performance of gearings. However, few of the present studies on tooth modification considers the influence of inevitable random errors on gear modification effects. In order to investigate the uncertainties of tooth modification amount variations on system's dynamic behaviors of a helical planetary gears, an analytical dynamic model including tooth modification parameters is proposed to carry out a deterministic analysis on the dynamics of a helical planetary gear. The dynamic meshing forces as well as the dynamic transmission errors of the sun-planet 1 gear pair with and without tooth modifications are computed and compared to show the effectiveness of tooth modifications on gear dynamics enhancement. By using response surface method, a fitted regression model for the dynamic transmission error(DTE) fluctuations is established to quantify the relationship between modification amounts and DTE fluctuations. By shifting the inevitable random errors arousing from manufacturing and installing process to tooth modification amount variations, a statistical tooth modification model is developed and a methodology combining Monte Carlo simulation and response surface method is presented for uncertainty analysis of tooth modifications. The uncertainly analysis reveals that the system's dynamic behaviors do not obey the normal distribution rule even though the design variables are normally distributed. In addition, a deterministic modification amount will not definitely achieve an optimal result for both static and dynamic transmission error fluctuation reduction simultaneously. 展开更多

The paper presents the results of a thermo-mechanical analysis of the rolling two stepped shafts.One of the shafts has a toothed step with skew teeth,while the other has a worm winding in the shape of a trapezoidal screw.The shape of the rolling tools resembles that of the tools used in the Roto-Flo rolling method;yet unlike in Roto-Flo,the shafts are hot-rolled and no centres are used to stabilize the position of the workpiece during the forming process.For the calculations made with use of the DEFORM-3D process simulation system it has been assumed that the rolled shafts are made from 2618 aluminium alloy.As a result of the calculations made,it has been found that the toothed stepped shafts can be formed in one pass by means of the cross rolling process.Additionally,the temperature and strain distribution in the rolled product have been determined as well as some data concerning the forces which are necessary for the rolling process have been obtained. 展开更多

目的:对比分析仰角手机与传统锤击牙挺在下颌阻生第三磨牙拔除过程中的效果。方法:回顾性收集2022年11月至2024年11月期间于本院行下颌阻生第三磨牙拔除的96例患者的临床资料。根据患者的治疗方法的不同,将患者分为对照组(采用传统锤击... 目的:对比分析仰角手机与传统锤击牙挺在下颌阻生第三磨牙拔除过程中的效果。方法:回顾性收集2022年11月至2024年11月期间于本院行下颌阻生第三磨牙拔除的96例患者的临床资料。根据患者的治疗方法的不同,将患者分为对照组(采用传统锤击牙挺治疗,45例)和研究组(采用仰角冲击式气动手机拔牙法治疗,51例)。统计患者手术指标和并发症,术前、术后1 d,3 d的疼痛程度、肿胀程度、张口受限度分别以疼痛数字评分(Numerical rating scale,NRS)、皮尺进行评估、测量。结果:术后,研究组的出血量显著少于对照组,拔牙窝完整性评分显著低于对照组(P<0.05)。术后1 d,术后3 d,两组的疼痛程度评分均比术前显著降低(P<0.05);且研究组术后的疼痛程度评分均显著低于对照组(P<0.05)。两组的肿胀程度评分均比术前显著降低(P<0.05);且研究组术后的肿胀程度评分均显著低于对照组(P<0.05)。两组的张口受限度均比术前显著降低(P<0.05);且研究组术后的张口受限度均显著低于对照组(P<0.05)。两组的并发症发生率无显著差异(P>0.05)。结论:仰角手机在下颌阻生第三磨牙拔除过程中可提高拔牙窝完整性,减轻术后疼痛程度,改善张口受限度,且安全性较好。 展开更多

Special transmission 3D model simulation must be based on surface discretization and reconstruction, but special transmission usually has complicated tooth shape and movement, so present software can't provide technical support for special transmission 3D model simulation. Currently, theoretical calculation and experimental method are difficult to exactly solve special transmission contact analysis problem. How to reduce calculation and computer memories consume and meet calculation precision is key to resolve special transmission contact analysis problem. According to 3D model simulation and surface reconstruction of quasi ellipsoid gear is difficulty, this paper employes meshless local Petrov-Galerkin (MLPG) method. In order to reduce calculation and computer memories consume, we disperse tooth mesh into finite points--sparseness points cloud or grid mesh, and then we do interpolation reconstruction in some necessary place of the 3D surface model during analysis. Moving least square method (MLSM) is employed for tooth mesh interpolation reconstruction, there are some advantages to do interpolation by means of MLSM, such as high precision, good flexibility and no require of tooth mesh discretization into units. We input the quasi ellipsoid gear reconstruction model into simulation software, we complete tooth meshing simulation. Simulation transmission ratio during meshing period was obtained, compared with theoretical transmission ratio, the result inosculate preferably. The method using curve reconstruction realizes surface reconstruction, reduce simulation calculation enormously, so special gears simulation can be realized by minitype computer. The method provides a novel solution for special transmission 3D model simulation analysis and contact analysis. 展开更多

Torsional vibration of roller oscillating tooth gear drive (ROTGD) is studied in this paper. On the basis of conservation law for kinetic energy and potential energy, the mathematical expressions are developed which describe transformation of moment of inertia of inertial components into input shaft. Also, the formula is derived which expresses transformation of contact stiffness of elastic components into input shaft torsional stiffness. Besides, torsional vibration model of ROTGD is presented by using the transfer matrix method, and natural frequencies and vibration mode shapes are determined. Eventually, an example is given. 展开更多

In order to study mechanical stress on root from orthodontic tooth movement by sliding mechanics, a 3-dimensional finite element model incorporating all layers of a human mandibular dental arch with orthodontic appliance has been developed to simulate mechanical stress on root from the orthodontic tooth movement. Simulated orthodontic force of 2 N at 0, 30 and 45 degree from the horizontal axis was applied to the crown of the teeth. The finite element analysis showed when orthodontic forces were applied to the tooth, the stress was mainly concentrated at the neck of the tooth decreasing uniformly to the apex and crown. The highest stress on the root was 0.621 N/mm^2 for cervical margin of the canine, and 0.114 N/mm^2 for apical region of the canine. The top of canine crown showed the largest amount of displacement (2.417 μm), while the lowest amount of displacement was located at the apical region of canine (0.043 μm). In conclusion, this model might enable one to simulate orthodontic tooth movements clinically. Sliding force at 2 N is ideal to ensure the bodily orthodontic tooth movement. The highest stress concentration in the roots was always localized at the cervical margin when orthodontic force of 2 N at 0, 30 and 45 degree from the horizontal axis, so there may be the same risk of root resorption when orthodontic force of 2 N at 0, 30 and 45 degree was used in clinic cases. 展开更多

In this case, a 28-year-old female patient took root canal therapy for repeated gingiva tumefaction and tooth stain in anterior teeth of left maxillary and giant foreign body at apex shown in X-ray photography. After removing the foreign body at apex by endodontic surgery, internal bleaching and resin repair were conducted. The therapy shows that the usage specification of hot gutta-percha should strictly follow the operational steps, while the necessity of X-ray photography after operation should be confirmed in clinical operation. In addition, internal bleaching and resin repair should be combined to obtain the success in clinical therapy. 展开更多

The transmission characteristics of gear drive can be improved with the use of novel tooth profiles.A theoretical study on tooth profile of the hypocycloid pinwheel transmission and contact analysis of gear pair based on finite element method(FEM) are carried out,respectively.The line contact between mated tooth surfaces becomes point contact according to a plus movement.Through loaded tooth contact analysis(LTCA),the contact stress and load distributions for the proposed hypocycloid pinwheel transmission and the traditional one are discussed.The analysis results show that the developed tooth surfaces have anticipatory point contact characteristics under loads and contact fatigue dangerous area locates around the ultimate contact position. 展开更多
