Linear stability analysis of the system shows that the competition among the Turing-, Hopf- and Wave-modes, the wavenumber, and the oscillation frequency of patterns can be controlled by changing the feedback parameters. The role of the feedback intensity Pu played on controlling the pattern competition is equivalent to that of Pw, but opposite to that of Pv. Firstly, to obtain the dimensionless governing equation of the system, the original bistable system is approximated as a system without viscoelastic term by using the stochastic averaging method of energy envelope, and then is further decoupled to derive an equivalent system. The credibility of the proposed method is validated by contrasting the consistency between the numerical and the analytical results of the equivalent system under different noise conditions. The influence of system parameters on average output power is analyzed, and the control effect of the time-delayed feedback control on system performance is compared. The output performance of the system is improved with the occurrence of stochastic resonance(SR). Therefore, the signal-to-noise ratio expression for measuring SR is derived, and the dependence of its SR behavior on different parameters is explored.展开更多

To solve this problem, a vibration absorber with time-delayed feedback control is proposed to suppress vibration of the primary system under excitation with changing frequency. Firstly, the mechanical model of the delay coupled system is established. Then, the displacement transfer ratio of the system is obtained. The stability of the system is analyzed since delay may result in destabilization. Next, in order to design the control parameters, the vibration absorption performances of the proposed time-delayed vibration absorber are studied. The vibration absorption region is shown. The results show that time-delayed feedback control is able to change the response of the system. The model describes the directed transport of coupled Brownian particles in an asymmetric two-well ratchet potential which can be calculated theoretically and implemented experimentally. We explore how the centre-of-mass velocity is af fected by the time delay, natural length of the spring, amplitude strength, angular frequency, external force, and the structure of the potential. It is found that the enhancement of the current can be obtained by varying the coupling strength of the delayed feedback system. When the thermal fluctuation and the harmonic potential match appropriately, directed current evolves periodically with the natural length of the spring and can achieve a higher transport coherence. Moreover, the external force and the amplitude strength can enhance the directed transport of coupled Brownian particles under certain conditions. It is found that for low frequencies, the average velocity can be negative by changing the driving amplitude, for high frequencies, there exists an optimized driving amplitude at which the average velocity takes its maximum value. Additionally, there is a threshold value of driving amplitude below which no directed transport can be obtained for high frequencies. By taking the time delay as the bifurcation parameter, we discuss the local stability of the Hopf bifurcations. Under some condition, the generalized model harbors a phenomenon that the equilibrium may undergo finite switches from stability to instability to stability and finally become unstable. By applying the method introduced by Faria and Magalhaes, we compute the normal form on the center manifold to determine the direction and stability of the Hopf bifurcations. Numerical simulations are carried out and more than one periodic solutions may exist according to the bifurcation diagram given by BIFTOOL. Finally a brief conclusion is presented.展开更多

Such feedback is detailedly analyzed from the viewpoint of equivalent damping. Firstly, the primary resonance of the controlled HSLDS vibration isolator subjected to a harmonic force excitation is obtained based on the multiple scales method and further verified by numerical integration. The stability of the primary resonance is subsequently investigated. Then, the equivalent damping is defined to study the effects of feedback gain and time delay on primary resonance. The condition of jump avoidance is obtained with the purpose of eliminating the adverse effects induced by jumps. Finally, the force transmissibility of the controlled HSLDS vibration isolator is defined to evaluate its isolation performance. It is shown that an appropriate choice of feedback parameters can effectively suppress the force transmissibility in resonant region and reduce the resonance frequency. Furthermore, a wider vibration isolation frequency bandwidth can be achieved compared to the passive HSLDS vibration isolator.展开更多

文摘This paper is concerned with bifurcations and chaos control of the Hindmarsh-Rose(HR)neuronal model with the time-delayed feedback control.By stability and bifurcation analysis,we find that the excitable neuron can emit spikes via the subcritical Hopf bifurcation, and exhibits periodic or chaotic spiking/bursting behaviors with the increase of external current. For the purpose of control of chaos,we adopt the time-delayed feedback control, and convert chaos control to the Hopf bifurcation of the delayed feedback system. Then the analytical conditions under which the Hopf bifurcation occurs are given with an explicit formula.Based on this,we show the Hopf bifurcation curves in the two-parameter plane. Finally, some numerical simulations are carried out to support the theoretical results. It is shown that by appropriate choice of feedback gain and time delay, the chaotic orbit can be controlled to be stable. The adopted method in this paper is general and can be applied to other neuronal models. It may help us better understand the bifurcation mechanisms of neural behaviors.

文摘In this paper, we consider a generalized model of the two friction models, both of which have two different types of control forces with time-delayed feedback proposed by Ashesh Sara et al. Finally a brief conclusion is presented.

文摘The stochastic averaging method for quasi-integrable Hamiltonian systems with time-delayed feedback bang-bang control is first introduced. Then, two time delay compensation methods, namely the method of changing control force amplitude (CFA) and the method of changing control delay time (CDT), are proposed. The conditions applicable to each compensation method are discussed. Finally, an example is worked out in detail to illustrate the application and effectiveness of the proposed methods and the two compensation methods in combination.

文摘The displacement feedback with time delay considered is introduced in order to enhance the vibration isolation performance of a high-static-low-dynamic stiffness(HSLDS) vibration isolator. Furthermore, a wider vibration isolation frequency bandwidth can be achieved compared to the passive HSLDS vibration isolator.
文摘Time-delayed state feedback is an easy realizable control method that generates control force by differencing the current and the delayed versions of the system states. In this paper,a new form of the time-delayed state feedback structure is introduced.Based on the proposed time-delayed state feedback method,a new robust tracking system is designed. This tracking system improves the conventional state feedback with integral action disturbance rejection characteristics in the presence of the disturbance signals imposed on the system dynamics or on the sensors that measure the system states. Also, the proposed tracking system tracks the ramp-shaped reference input signal, which is not achievable through conventional state feedback. Moreover, since the proposed method adds delays to the closed-loop system dynamics, the ordinary differential equation of the system changes to a delay differential equation with an infinite number of characteristic roots. Thus, conventional pole placement techniques cannot be used to design the time-delayed state feedback controller parameters. In this paper, the simulated annealing algorithm is used to determine the proposed control system parameters and move the unstable roots of the delay differential equation to the left half-plane.Finally,the efficiency of the proposed reference input tracker is demonstrated by presenting two numerical examples.
