The eastern Qiulitagh fold and thrust belt (EQFTB) is part of the active Kuqa fold and thrust belts of the northern Tarim Basin. Seismic reflection profiles have been integrated with surface geologic and drill data to examine the deformation and structure style of the EQFTB, particularly the deformational history of the Dina 2 gas field. Seismic interpretations suggest that Dongqiu 8 is overall a duplex structure developed beneath a passive roof thrust, which generated from a tipline in the Miocene Jidike Formation, and the sole thrust was initiated from the same Jidike Formation evaporite zone that extends westward beneath the Kuqatawu anticline. Dongqiu 5 is a pop-up structure at the western part of the EQFTB, also developed beneath the Jidike Formation evaporite. Very gentle basement dip and steep dipping topographic slope in the EQFTB suggest that the Jidike Formation salt provides effective decoupling. The strong deformation in the EQFTB appears to have developed further south, in an area where evaporite may be lacking. Since the Pliocene, the EQFTB has moved farther south over the evaporite and reached the Yaken area. Restoring a balanced cross-section suggests that the minimum shortening across the EQFTB is more than 7800 m. Assuming that this shortening occurred during the 5.3 Ma timespan, the shortening rate is approximately 1.47 mm/year. 展开更多

The Nianzi granite unit,which includes the Nianzi,Xiaolianghou and Xiawopu granitic intrusions,is a significant component of the northern part of the North China Craton(NCC)and is situated in the Yanshan fold and thrust belt(YFTB).However,there is still debate regarding the tectonic evolutionary history of the YFTB during the late Permian to Triassic period,specifically regarding the timing of subduction and collision between the NCC and the Paleo-Asian Ocean.The Nianzi granite unit exhibits unique petrological,geochronological and geochemical signatures that shed light on the tectonic evolutionary history of the YFTB.This study presents detailed petrology,whole-rock geochemistry,together with Sr-Nd isotopic,zircon U-Pb dating and Lu-Hf isotopic data of the granites within the Nianzi granite unit.Our findings demonstrate that the granites primarily consist of subhedral K-feldspar,plagioclase,quartz,minor biotite and hornblende,with accessory titanite,apatite,magnetite and zircon.Zircon U-Pb dating indicates that the Xiaolianghou granite was emplaced at 247.5±0.62 Ma.Additionally,the adakitic characteristics of the Nianzi,Xiawopu and Xiaolianghou granitic intrusions,such as high Sr and Ba contents and high ratios of Sr/Y and(La/Yb)N,combined with negative Sr-Nd and Lu-Hf isotopes(87Sr/86Sr)i=0.705681–0.7057433,εNd(t)=−21.98 to−20.97,zirconεHf(t)=−20.26 to−9.92,as well as the I-type granite features of high SiO_(2),Na_(2)O and K_(2)O/Na_(2)O ratios,enriched Rb,K,Sr and Ba,along with depleted Th,U,Nb,Ta,P and Ti,suggest that the Nianzi granitic unit was mainly derived from the partial melting of a thickened lower crust containing hydrous,calc-alkaline to high-K calc-alkaline,mafic to intermediate metamorphic rocks.In light of these parameters,we further integrate our data with previous studies and conclude that the Nianzi granitic unit was generated in a post-collisional extensional environment during the Early Triassic. 展开更多

A structural cross-section constructed across the Zagros Fold-Thrust Belt covering the Abadan Plain, Dezful Embayment, and Izeh Zone applied 2D and 3D seismic data, well data, surface and subsurface geological maps, satellite images and field reconnaissance. Besides validation and modification of the cross-section, restoration allows better understanding of the geology, structural style and stratigraphy of the Zagros basin. In the area of interest, the Hormuz basal decollement and the Gachsaran detachment play the most significant roles in the structural style and deformation of the Zagros belt. More complexity is associated with interval decollements such as Triassic evaporites, Albian shales and Eocene marls. A variety of lithotectonic units and detachment surfaces confound any estimation of shortening, which generally decreases with increasing depth. Deformation completely differs in the Abadan Plain, Dezful Embayment and Izeh Zone because of different sedimentation histories and tectonic evolution; gentle and young structures can be interpreted as pre-collisional structures of the Dezful Embayment before the Late Cretaceous. After the Late Cretaceous, the Mountain Front Fault is the main control of sedimentation and deformation in the Zagros Basin, and this completely characterizes fold style and geometry within the Dezful Embayment and the Izeh Zone. 展开更多

The evolution of the Tarim southwest depression lying at the piedmont of the West Kunlun orogen differs completely from the evolution of the main part of Tarim basin after Later Palaeozoic because the former strongly subsides many times.. Subsidence is related closely to the West Kunlun fold thrust\|belt, thus the evolution of the Depression and the fold\|thrust\|belt reflects clearly the formation and evolution of the West Kunlun and even the Tibet.1 Evolution of the West Kunlun fold\|thrust\|belt\;Thrusting of the fold\|thrust\|belt can be classified into three stages:(1) Devonian thrusting:This is the oldest thrusting distinguished in the northern margin of the West Kunlun while the Silurian—Devonian thrusting was discriminated a few years ago by seismic data in the northern part of the East Kunlun. The Devonian thrusting is proved by the Upper Devonian dynamometamorphic rocks outcropping at the core of the anticline in the Sangzhu lying at the fold\|thrust\|belt. The rocks consist of slightly metamorphic clastic rock and have always been regarded as the Mid\|Proterozoic strata. But they are actually Upper Devonian strata according to the amount of perfect plant fossils that we found recently in the metamorphic rock, and they are overburdened `with an angular unconformity by another reliable Upper\|Devonian conglomerate in the core of the Aqike anticline. A possible explanation for this and its limited lined distribution parallel to the West Kunlun orogen is that they are subjected to metamorphism during the Later Devonian thrusting. 展开更多

The Baicheng (拜城) piggy-back basin was part of the intracontinental foreland basin system of southern Tianshan (天山) Mountains. It was formed on a thrust-and-fold belt induced by Mio-Pliocene collision between southern Tianshan Mountains and Tarim craton that controlled the thick synorogenic basin fills. Sedimentological analysis and a restored cross-section based on seismic data and field studies revealed three tectono-depositional sequences of synorogenic basin fills. (1) The Lower Miocene sequence (Jidike (吉迪克 ) Formation) was formed under alluvial-braided river-lacustrine environments, in response to geodynamic changes of the Kuqa (库车) fold and thrust belt from the embryonic foreland to a foredeep in the course of orogenic loading period. (2) The Upper Miocene sequence (Kangcun (康村) Formation) was developed in fluvial-delta and lacustrine environments, within a foredeep due to orogenic thrust. (3) The Pliocene sequence (Kuqa Formation) was formed in the Baicheng piggy-back basin that became a wedge-top depozone, thrusting in the Qiulitagh (秋里塔格) thrust belt that propagated progressively southward to the Yaken (牙肯) thrust belt. 展开更多

Southward thrusting occurred in Late Oligocene-Early Miocene in southern East Kunlun (昆仑) Mountains formed the South Kunlun thrust (SKT). Permian strata and Triassic rocks were thrusted over the Paleocene-Eocene red-beds of Fenghuoshan (风火山) Group and Oligocene brownish red conglomerate and sandstone of Yaxicuo (雅西错) Group along SKT faults, formed tectonic slices, low-angle thrust faults, multi-scaled outliers, and nappe structures in south of Middle Kunlun fault (MKF). In addition, SKT displacement or shortening is estimated to be -(30-35) km across Dongdatan (东大滩) valley and East Wenquan (温泉) basin. 39Ar-40Ar dating of chlorite of ductile shear zone along front thrust fault indicates that SKT thrusting occurred at 26.5±2.7 Ma, and fission track dating of apatite from mylonitic granite in SKT gives the age 26±2 Ma, corresponding to initial time of rapid uplift of East Kunlun Mountains. Thrust faults and folds of SKT were covered unconformably by Late Miocene lacustrine strata, and major thrusting of SKT ended before 13.5-14.5 Ma according to regional chronological data in northern Tibetan plateau. 展开更多

库车坳陷山前冲断楔中秋-迪北构造变换带形成机制——来自砂箱构造模拟实验的启示

中秋—迪北构造变换带位于库车坳陷中部的拜城凹陷与东部的阳霞凹陷的过渡部位,是近年来在库车坳陷发现的含油气区带。油气勘探实践表明中秋—迪北构造变换带的油气圈闭与卷入走滑冲断-褶皱变形的中生界构造相关。本文基于三维地震资料... 中秋—迪北构造变换带位于库车坳陷中部的拜城凹陷与东部的阳霞凹陷的过渡部位,是近年来在库车坳陷发现的含油气区带。油气勘探实践表明中秋—迪北构造变换带的油气圈闭与卷入走滑冲断-褶皱变形的中生界构造相关。本文基于三维地震资料解释结果分析了中秋—迪北构造变换带的中生界构造变形组合与岩层能干性的关系,并通过砂箱构造模拟论证了中秋—迪北构造变换带的形成机制。研究表明,中秋—迪北构造带是库车山前冲断楔中的构造变换带,中生界塑性层厚度的差异是控制构造带形成的主要因素。中秋—迪北构造变换带西侧的拜城凹陷充填较厚的中生界,且含有较厚的煤层、泥岩层等非能干岩层,在南天山隆升及向南挤压过程中发育分层滑脱的冲断褶皱变形,在非能干层中滑脱的冲断褶皱变形传播较远,其前锋达拜城凹陷南部边缘的西秋构造带;而阳霞凹陷的中生界较薄,煤层、泥岩层等非能干岩层也较薄,发育相对协调的冲断褶皱变形,冲断褶皱变形向南传播相对较近,其前锋消失在东秋—迪那构造带。中生界的厚度沿着中秋—迪北构造带变化,这导致库车坳陷山前冲断楔内的逆冲断层发育NNE向的侧断坡、斜断坡,由此调节拜城凹陷和阳霞凹陷冲断楔构造变形的差异;受主断坡、侧断坡或斜断坡控制的与逆冲断层、走滑逆冲断层相关的背斜构造是中秋—迪北构造变换带的主要构造圈闭样式。 展开更多

四川盆地西北部中二叠统栖霞组天然气勘探近期获得重大突破,揭示出一个难得的冲断带-盆地系统不同构造区差异成藏典型实例。为及时总结成藏规律以供其他同类地质背景地区参考,也为下步勘探部署提供依据,本文主要从包裹体地球化学特征角... 四川盆地西北部中二叠统栖霞组天然气勘探近期获得重大突破,揭示出一个难得的冲断带-盆地系统不同构造区差异成藏典型实例。为及时总结成藏规律以供其他同类地质背景地区参考,也为下步勘探部署提供依据,本文主要从包裹体地球化学特征角度,结合其他成藏地质条件,开展了差异成藏过程研究。结果表明,以矿山梁、河湾场为代表的冲断带栖霞组储层充填大量沥青以及酸性流体沉淀矿物石英,经历了两期油气充注与一期破坏,含气性差。相比而言,以双鱼石为代表的冲断前锋带与以九龙山为代表的前缘隆起带储层沥青均欠发育,且以碱性流体沉淀矿物方解石充填为主,前者经历了两期油气充注,后者只经历了一期油气充注,含气性均相对较好。稳定保持是研究区大气藏形成的主要原因,冲断带前锋与前缘隆起随造山带推覆挤压应力减弱,虽然深大断裂欠发育导致深部下寒武统烃源岩供烃受限,但可以形成中二叠统腐泥腐殖混合型烃源岩的自生自储,稳定的构造环境有利于油气成藏后的稳定保持。盆山结合部凹陷区的深层—超深层油气勘探工作值得加以关注。 展开更多

塔里木盆地发育大量含盐褶皱冲断构造,采用对比研究的方法,通过分析塔里木盆地库车坳陷、塘古坳陷和西南坳陷不同滑脱层组合形成的含盐褶皱冲断带规模和构造样式,讨论含盐褶皱冲断带的演化特征和形成机制。对比结果表明,区域滑脱层的深... 塔里木盆地发育大量含盐褶皱冲断构造,采用对比研究的方法,通过分析塔里木盆地库车坳陷、塘古坳陷和西南坳陷不同滑脱层组合形成的含盐褶皱冲断带规模和构造样式,讨论含盐褶皱冲断带的演化特征和形成机制。对比结果表明,区域滑脱层的深度、厚度和流动性对褶皱冲断带规模及变形样式具有重要的影响。褶皱冲断带的规模和滑脱层强弱成反比,与上覆地层的厚度成反比;在具有强流动性的厚层膏盐层影响下,膏盐层上下地层发生明显解耦变形,上下地层变形呈现明显的不一致性;受流动性较弱的薄层膏盐层影响,膏盐层上下地层可以呈现一定的分层变形特征,但上下层构造变形仍具有较明显的相关性;基于含盐构造变形特征与变形机制分析,认为西南坳陷玛扎塔格构造带的主控因素不是中寒武统膏盐层,而是中寒武统之下的先存构造。 展开更多

裂缝预测一直是石油地质界研究的热点和难点,其中对裂缝发育的主控因素及机制仍未清晰认识。库车坳陷中的断层相关褶皱在多期演化过程中,派生或伴生大量的构造裂缝,空间分布十分复杂。以克深气田、大北气田、迪那气田和克拉气田为例,结... 裂缝预测一直是石油地质界研究的热点和难点,其中对裂缝发育的主控因素及机制仍未清晰认识。库车坳陷中的断层相关褶皱在多期演化过程中,派生或伴生大量的构造裂缝,空间分布十分复杂。以克深气田、大北气田、迪那气田和克拉气田为例,结合区域构造背景,从野外露头、岩心观察和成像测井分析入手,对单井裂缝进行详细的统计分析。通过构造形迹分析和岩石声发射测试,恢复古构造应力场,划分裂缝发育期次。以断层相关褶皱理论为指导,选取库车河野外剖面,以有限元数值模拟为手段,恢复各褶皱的构造演化过程,对比分析共生裂缝的发育规律及形成机制。最终,建立了库车坳陷断层相关褶皱区共生裂缝系统演化地质模式,并评价了优势裂缝发育带,如克深-大北气田为典型的顶部冲起型褶皱共生裂缝模式,迪那-克拉气田为典型的顶部地堑型共生裂缝模式,为库车坳陷山前冲断带的高效勘探部署和老油气田综合治理提供有效指导。 展开更多

介于扬子板块与青藏高原之间的川西前陆冲断带是环青藏高原盆山体系东段的重要组成部分,它是研究喜马拉雅构造运动对青藏高原东缘沉积盆地构造作用的重要场所。本文分别选取川西南段、川西北段和川北西段米仓山前的区域构造地质剖面来... 介于扬子板块与青藏高原之间的川西前陆冲断带是环青藏高原盆山体系东段的重要组成部分,它是研究喜马拉雅构造运动对青藏高原东缘沉积盆地构造作用的重要场所。本文分别选取川西南段、川西北段和川北西段米仓山前的区域构造地质剖面来研究沉积地层在喜马拉雅运动中发生的构造变形特征。通过前陆冲断构造变形带的宽度、水平缩短量,山体隆升、盆地沉降,新构造对早期古构造的叠加与改造关系的研究,揭示出在环青藏高原盆山体系内,造山带与盆地边缘的冲断构造变形从造山带向克拉通盆地内扩展的同时受欧亚大陆与印度板块碰撞及其远程效应的空间位置限制,靠近青藏高原的川西南段到远离它的川北西段,新构造变形强度、新构造变形范围、盆山耦合程度具有依次降低等特征。这种受环青藏高原盆山体系控制的前陆冲断带构造变形具有明显的资环效应,特别是对油气资源的聚集与分布有重要的影响,控制了川西南段晚期次生气藏发育,川西北段和川北西段的早期原生气藏的发育。 展开更多

Its surface is severely cut, and its underground geological structures are complicated.Making use of the advantage of CEMP in exploration in frontland as well as successful multi-year exploration experiences in West China, we first employed the CEMP method to conduct exploration on the western edge of the Ordos basin and its surrounding areas. The practices proved that rich and reliable geological results have been achieved with the CEMP method in complicated areas covered with loess. This can provide important evidence for researching the contact relationship among basins and mountains, structural feature of target layers and predict favourable areas. 展开更多

The island of New Guinea is the mountainous margin of the Australian continent.Paleozoic and Proterozoic Australian craton extends northward beneath the shallow waters of the Arafura Sea to underlie the southern plains of New Guinea and,with overlying sediments,to form the dramatically sculpted southern slopes of the central range in a great fold and thrust belt.The fold and thrust belt marks the outer limit of the autochthon.Beyond,to the N,E and W,is an aggregation of terranes that have accreted since the Late Cretaceous,driven by oblique convergence between the Pacific and Indo-Australian plates.The terranes comprise continental fragments and blocks of oceanic volcanic arc and of oceanic crust and mantle origin,and include two great ophiolites.The plate boundary itself is a complex system of microplates,each with separate motion,and marked by every kind of plate boundary.In the E the opening of the Manus Basin is associated with rapid clockwise rotation of New Britain,and the opening of the Woodlark Basin causes extension of continental crust in the Papuan peninsula and islands.This has resulted in the development of low-angle extensional faults and domal structures in metamorphic rocks and the exhumation of Pliocene eclogite.Remarkably similar extensional structures and the exhumation of Pliocene eclogite are seen in the Bird’s Head area of western New Guinea(Wandamen Peninsula). 展开更多
