Accurate thrust assessment is crucial for characterizing the performance of micro-thrusters.This paper presents a comprehensive evaluation of the thrust generated by a needle-type indium field emission electric propul...Accurate thrust assessment is crucial for characterizing the performance of micro-thrusters.This paper presents a comprehensive evaluation of the thrust generated by a needle-type indium field emission electric propulsion(In-FEEP)micro-thruster using three methods based on a pendulum:direct thrust measurement,indirect plume momentum transfer and beam current diagnostics.The experimental setup utilized capacitive displacement sensors for force detection and a voice coil motor as a feedback actuator,achieving a resolution better than 0.1μN.Key performance factors such as ionization and plume divergence of ejected charged particles were also examined.The study reveals that the high applied voltage induces significant electrostatic interference,becoming the dominant source of error in direct thrust measurements.Beam current diagnostics and indirect plume momentum measurements were conducted simultaneously,showing strong agreement within a deviation of less than 0.2N across the operational thrust range.The results from all three methods are consistent within the error margins,verifying the reliability of the indirect measurement approach and the theoretical thrust model based on the electrical parameters of In-FEEP.展开更多

The development of the adaptive cycle engine is a crucial direction of advanced fighter power sources in the near future.However,this new technology brings more uncertainty to the design of the control system.To addre...The development of the adaptive cycle engine is a crucial direction of advanced fighter power sources in the near future.However,this new technology brings more uncertainty to the design of the control system.To address the versatile thrust demand under complex dynamic characteristics of the adaptive cycle engine,this paper proposes a direct thrust estimation and control method based on the Model-Free Adaptive Control(MFAC)algorithm.First,an improved Sliding Mode Control-MFAC(SMC-MFAC)algorithm has been developed by introducing a sliding mode variable structure into the standard Full Format Dynamic Linearization-MFAC(FFDL-MFAC)and designing self-adaptive weight coefficients.Then a trivariate double-loop direct thrust control structure with a controller-based thrust estimator and an outer command compensation loop has been established.Through thrust feedback and command correction,accurate control under multi-mode and operation conditions is achieved.The main contribution of this paper is the improved algorithm that combines the tracking capability of the MFAC and the robustness of the SMC,thus enhancing the dynamic performance.Considering the requirements of the online thrust feedback,the designed MFAC-based thrust estimator significantly speeds up the calculation.Additionally,the proposed command correction module can achieve the adaptive thrust control without affecting the operation of the inner loop.Simulations and Hardware-in-Loop(HIL)experiments have been performed on an adaptive cycle engine component-level model to investigate the estimation and control effect under different modes and health conditions.The results demonstrate that both the thrust estimation precision and operation speed are significantly improved compared with Extended Kalman Filter(EKF).Furthermore,the system can accelerate the response of the controlled plant,reduce the overshoot,and realize the thrust recovery within the safety range when the engine encounters the degradation.展开更多
Exploring solid propellants for electric thrusters can simplify the propellant storage and supply units in propulsion systems.In this study,polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE),commonly used as a propellant in pulsed plasma ...Exploring solid propellants for electric thrusters can simplify the propellant storage and supply units in propulsion systems.In this study,polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE),commonly used as a propellant in pulsed plasma thrusters,was embedded in the discharge chamber of a radio frequency ion thruster(RIT-4)to investigate the performance of an ablation-type RIT.Experimental results indicate that PTFE can decompose and ionize stably under plasma ablation within the discharge chamber,producing-C-F-and F-ion clusters that form a stable plasma.By adjusting the length of the PTFE propellant,it was observed that its decomposition rate influences the ion beam current of the thruster.Compared with xenon,PTFE generates an ion plume with a larger divergence angle,ranging from 16.05°to 22.74°at an ion beam current of 25 mA,with a floating potential distribution of 8‒56 V.Assuming that the proportion of neutral gas in the vacuum chamber matches the ion species ratio in the ion plume,thrust,specific impulse and efficiency parameters were calculated for the RIT-4 with embedded PTFE.Under 50 W RF power,the thrust was approximately 1.02 mN,the specific impulse was around 1236 s and the power-to-thrust ratio was approximately 93.14 W/mN.All results indicate that PTFE is a viable propellant for RIT,but the key is to control the rate of decomposition.展开更多
This paper proposes a novel impulsive thrust strategy guided by optimal continuous thrust strategy to address two-player orbital pursuit-evasion game under impulsive thrust control.The strategy seeks to enhance the in...This paper proposes a novel impulsive thrust strategy guided by optimal continuous thrust strategy to address two-player orbital pursuit-evasion game under impulsive thrust control.The strategy seeks to enhance the interpretability of impulsive thrust strategy by integrating it within the framework of differential game in traditional continuous systems.First,this paper introduces an impulse-like constraint,with periodical changes in thrust amplitude,to characterize the impulsive thrust control.Then,the game with the impulse-like constraint is converted into the two-point boundary value problem,which is solved by the combined shooting and deep learning method proposed in this paper.Deep learning and numerical optimization are employed to obtain the guesses for unknown terminal adjoint variables and the game terminal time.Subsequently,the accurate values are solved by the shooting method to yield the optimal continuous thrust strategy with the impulse-like constraint.Finally,the shooting method is iteratively employed at each impulse decision moment to derive the impulsive thrust strategy guided by the optimal continuous thrust strategy.Numerical examples demonstrate the convergence of the combined shooting and deep learning method,even if the strongly nonlinear impulse-like constraint is introduced.The effect of the impulsive thrust strategy guided by the optimal continuous thrust strategy is also discussed.展开更多
Strong tectonic activities and diagenetic evolution encourage the development of natural fractures as typical features in deep tight sandstone reservoirs of foreland thrust belts.This study focused on the Jurassic in ...Strong tectonic activities and diagenetic evolution encourage the development of natural fractures as typical features in deep tight sandstone reservoirs of foreland thrust belts.This study focused on the Jurassic in the southern Junggar Basin to comprehensively analyze the fracture characteristics and differential distribution and,ultimately,addressed the controlling mechanisms of tectonism and diagenesis on fracture effectiveness.Results revealed that the intensity of tectonic activities determines the complexity of tectonic fracture systems to create various fracture orientations when they have been stronger.The intense tectonic deformation would impact the stratum occurrence,which results in a wide range of fracture dip angles.Moreover,as the intensity of tectonic activities and deformations weakens,the scale and degree of tectonic fractures would decrease continuously.The control of tectonism on fracture effectiveness is reflected in the notable variations in the filling of multiple group fractures developed during different tectonic activity periods.Fractures formed in the early stages are more likely to be filled with minerals,causing their effectiveness to deteriorate significantly.Additionally,the strong cementation in the diagenetic evolution can cause more fractures to be filled with minerals and become barriers to fluid flow,which is detrimental to fracture effectiveness.However,dissolution is beneficial in improving their effectiveness by increasing fracture aperture and their connectivity to the pores.These insights can refine the development pattern of natural fractures and contribute to revealing the evolutionary mechanisms of fracture effectiveness in deep tight sandstone reservoirs of foreland thrust belts.展开更多
Rotating machinery in the aviation industry is increasingly embracing high speeds and miniaturization,and foil dynamic pressure gas bearing has great application value due to its self-lubrication and self-adaptive def...Rotating machinery in the aviation industry is increasingly embracing high speeds and miniaturization,and foil dynamic pressure gas bearing has great application value due to its self-lubrication and self-adaptive deformation characteristics.This study explores the interaction mechanism between micro-scale variable-sectional shearing flow with hyper-rotation speeds and a three-layer elastic foil assembly through bidirectional aero-elastic coupling in a Multi-layer Thrust Gas Foil Bearing(MTGFB).The bearing capacity of the MTGFB varies non-linearly with the decrease of gas film clearance,while the collaborative deformation of the three-layer elastic foil assembly can deal with different load conditions.As the load capacity increases,the enhanced dynamic pressure effect causes the top foil to evolve from a single arch to multiple arches.The hydrodynamic effects in the gas film evolve to form multiple segmented wedges with different pitch ratios,while the peak pressure of the gas film always occurs near the vaults of the top foil.As the rotational speed frequency approaches the natural frequency,the resonance of the gas film and elastic foil assembly system occurs,and a phase delay occurs between the pressure pulsation and the vibration of foils.The load capacity of the MTGFB also depends on the elastic moduli of the elastic foil assembly.Increasing the elastic modulus decreases the deformation amplitude of the top foil,whereas it increases those of the backboard and middle foil,increasing the load capacity.展开更多

Among the DTC architecture, model-based thrust estimation method has less arithmetic consumption and better real-time performance. In this paper,a direct thrust controller design approach for gas turbine engine based on parameter dependent model is proposed. In order to ensure the stability of DTC control system based on parameter dependent model, there are usually conservatism detects. For the purpose of reducing the conservatism in the solution process of filter and controller, an Equilibrium Manifold Expansion(EME) model with bounded parameter variation of engine is established. The design conditions of Kalman filter for discrete-time EME system are introduced, and the proposed conditions have a certain suppression effect on the input noise of the system with bounded parameter variation.The engine thrust estimator stability and H∞filtering problems are solved by the polytopic quadratic Lyapunov function based on the Linear Matrix Inequalities(LMIs). To meet the performance requirements of thrust control, the Grey Wolf Optimization(GWO) algorithm is applied to optimize the PID control parameters. The proposed method is verified on a Hardware-in-Loop(HIL) platform. The simulation results demonstrate that the DTC framework can ensure the stability of engine closed-loop system in large range deviation tests. The filter and controller solution method considering the parameter variation boundary can obtain a solution that makes the system have better performance parameters. Moreover, the proposed filter has better thrust estimation performance than the traditional Kalman filter under the condition of sensor noise. Compared with Augmented Linear Quadratic Regulator(ALQR) controller, the PID controller optimized by GWO has a faster response in simulation.展开更多
For deep prospects in the foreland thrust belt,southern Junggar Basin,NW China,there are uncertainties in factors controlling the structural deformation,distribution of paleo-structures and detachment layers,and distr...For deep prospects in the foreland thrust belt,southern Junggar Basin,NW China,there are uncertainties in factors controlling the structural deformation,distribution of paleo-structures and detachment layers,and distribution of major hydrocarbon source rocks.Based on the latest 3D seismic,gravity-magnetic,and drilling data,together with the results of previous structural physical simulation and discrete element numerical simulation experiments,the spatial distribution of pre-existing paleo-structures and detachment layers in deep strata of southern Junggar Basin were systematically characterized,the structural deformation characteristics and formation mechanisms were analyzed,the distribution patterns of multiple hydrocarbon source rock suites were clarified,and hydrocarbon accumulation features in key zones were reassessed.The exploration targets in deep lower assemblages with possibility of breakthrough were expected.Key results are obtained in three aspects.First,structural deformation is controlled by two-stage paleo-structures and three detachment layers with distinct lateral variations:the Jurassic layer(moderate thickness,wide distribution),the Cretaceous layer(thickest but weak detachment),and the Paleogene layer(thin but long-distance lateral thrusting).Accordingly,a four-layer composite deformation sequence was identified,and the structural genetic model with paleo-bulge controlling zonation by segments laterally and multiple detachment layers controlling sequence vertically.Second,the Permian source rocks show a distribution pattern with narrow trough(west),multiple sags(central),and broad basin(east),which is depicted by combining high-precision gravity-magnetic data and time-frequency electromagnetic data for the first time,and the Jurassic source rocks feature thicker mudstones in the west and rich coals in the east according to the reassessment.Third,two petroleum systems and a four-layer composite hydrocarbon accumulation model are established depending on the structural deformation strength,trap effectiveness and source-trap configuration.The southern Junggar Basin is divided into three segments with ten zones,and a hierarchical exploration strategy is proposed for deep lower assemblages in this region,that is,focusing on five priority zones,expanding to three potential areas,and challenging two high-risk targets.展开更多

Microwave ion thruster is characterized with a wide thrust ran...Many high-precision space missions need thrusters to produce thrust with low noise to compensate for disturbances and ensure satellite platform stability. Microwave ion thruster is characterized with a wide thrust range and potential for these missions. A cost-effective and accurate mathematical model is crucial for mHz-frequency thrust noise analysis and feedback controller design. The Particle-In-Cell(PIC) and global models are two common simulation tools. The PIC model is characterized with high accuracy but huge computation cost, which is difficult to analyze long-time performance characteristics. Now, the global model is only used for the discharge chamber with low accuracy and cannot reflect ion extraction properties. In this paper, an integrative mathematical model is built for a 1-cm microwave ion thruster and can reflect ion beamlet divergence and impingement on the Accelerator Grid(AG). Simulation results show good agreement with experiments at 0.06 sccm. However, the model demonstrates worse consistency with experiments when the flux increases to 0.1 sccm, which may be because the influence of neutral gas on the Electron Cyclotron Resonance(ECR) is not considered in the model. A long-time(1000 s) simulation is conducted with this model under 35 μN. It takes 3 hrs, and the thrust noise reaches 1 μN/Hz^(0.5) at 1 mHz.展开更多

Solid iodine attracts much attention with the advantages of low cost,extensive availability, low vapor pressure, and ionization potential. The performance of a lowpower iodine-fed Hall thruster matched with a xenon-fed cathode is investigated across a broad range of operation conditions. Regulation of the iodine vapor's mass flow rates is stably achieved by using a temperature control method of the iodine reservoir. The thrust measurements are finished utilizing a thrust target during the tests. Results show that thrust and anode-specific impulse increase approximately linearly with the increasing iodine mass flow rate.At the nominal power of 200 W class, iodine mass flow rates are 0.62 and 0.93 mg/s, thrusts are7.19 and 7.58 m N, anode specific impulses are 1184 and 826 s, anode efficiencies are 20.8%and 14.5%, and thrust to power ratios are 35.9 and 37.9 m N/k W under the conditions of 250 V,0.8 A and 200 V, 1.0 A, respectively. The operating characteristics of iodine-fed Hall thruster are analyzed in different states. Further work on the measurements of plasma characteristics and experimental optimization will be carried out.展开更多
In order to realize the thrust estimation of the Hall thruster during its flight mission,this study establishes an estimation method based on measurement of the Hall drift current.In this method,the Hall drift current...In order to realize the thrust estimation of the Hall thruster during its flight mission,this study establishes an estimation method based on measurement of the Hall drift current.In this method,the Hall drift current is calculated from an inverse magnetostatic problem,which is formulated according to its induced magnetic flux density detected by sensors,and then the thrust is estimated by multiplying the Hall drift current with the characteristic magnetic flux density of the thruster itself.In addition,a three-wire torsion pendulum micro-thrust measurement system is utilized to verify the estimate values obtained from the proposed method.The errors were found to be less than 8%when the discharge voltage ranged from 250 V to 350 V and the anode flow rate ranged from 30 sccm to 50 sccm,indicating the possibility that the proposed thrust estimate method could be practically applied.Moreover,the measurement accuracy of the magnetic flux density is suggested to be lower than 0.015 mT and improvement on the inverse problem solution is required in the future.展开更多
This paper proposes an optimal,robust,and efficient guidance scheme for the perturbed minimum-time low-thrust transfer toward the geostationary orbit.The Earth’s oblateness perturbation and shadow are taken into acco...This paper proposes an optimal,robust,and efficient guidance scheme for the perturbed minimum-time low-thrust transfer toward the geostationary orbit.The Earth’s oblateness perturbation and shadow are taken into account.It is difficult for a Lyapunov-based or trajectory-tracking guidance method to possess multiple characteristics at the same time,including high guidance optimality,robustness,and onboard computational efficiency.In this work,a concise relationship between the minimum-time transfer problem with orbital averaging and its optimal solution is identified,which reveals that the five averaged initial costates that dominate the optimal thrust direction can be approximately determined by only four initial modified equinoctial orbit elements after a coordinate transformation.Based on this relationship,the optimal averaged trajectories constituting the training dataset are randomly generated around a nominal averaged trajectory.Five polynomial regression models are trained on the training dataset and are regarded as the costate estimators.In the transfer,the spacecraft can obtain the real-time approximate optimal thrust direction by combining the costate estimations provided by the estimators with the current state at any time.Moreover,all these computations onboard are analytical.The simulation results show that the proposed guidance scheme possesses extremely high guidance optimality,robustness,and onboard computational efficiency.展开更多
The Bypass Dual Throat Nozzle(BDTN)is a novel fluidic Thrust Vectoring(TV)nozzle,it switches to TV state by opening the valve in the bypass.To greatly manipulate the BDTN,the dynamic characteristics in the TV starting...The Bypass Dual Throat Nozzle(BDTN)is a novel fluidic Thrust Vectoring(TV)nozzle,it switches to TV state by opening the valve in the bypass.To greatly manipulate the BDTN,the dynamic characteristics in the TV starting process should be analyzed.This paper conducts numerical simulations to grasp the variation processes of performances and the flow field evolution of BDTN and Dual Throat Nozzle(DTN).The dynamic responses of TV starting in typical DTN models are investigated at first.Then,the TV starting processes of BDTN in different Nozzle Pressure Ratio(NPR)conditions are simulated,and the valve opening durations(T)are also considered.Before the expected TV direction is achieved in the DTN,the jet is deflected to the opposite direction at the beginning of the dynamic process,which is called the reverse TV phenomenon.However,this phenomenon disappears in the BDTN.The larger injection width of DTN intensifies unsteady oscillations,and the reverse TV phenomenon is strengthened.In the BDTN,T determines the delay degree of performance variations compared to the static results,which is called hysteresis effect.At NPR=10,the hysteresis affects the final stable performance of BDTN.This study analyses the dynamic characteristics in DTN and BDTN,laying a foundation for further design of nozzles and control strategies.展开更多
The eastern Iranian range,known as the Sistan suture zone in the past,has recently been identified as the Sistan orogen.This Paleogene orogeny is located between the Lut and Afghan microcontinents.The structural analy...The eastern Iranian range,known as the Sistan suture zone in the past,has recently been identified as the Sistan orogen.This Paleogene orogeny is located between the Lut and Afghan microcontinents.The structural analysis shows that most of the thrusts dip towards the NW so that the Permo-Triassic sediments and Jurassic micro-diorites of the Lut Block overthrusted over the younger rocks.Structural studies show that the tectonic vergence was from the NW to the SE of the Sechengi area in the NW part of Sistan orogen.We recognized three deformation phases in eastern Iran.The first N-S deformation event(D1)resulted in the formation of tight E-W folds(F1)and associated cleavages(S1).The second E-W deformation event(D2),which occurred in the late Paleogene led to the bending of older structures,including the axial plane of the first-generation folds giving them a new northwest direction(F2).Additionally,the ramp of the first-phase thrusts(striking E-W)was reactivated,acquiring a new NNW orientation and exhibiting SSE tectonic vergence.The third deformation event(D3)resulted in the formation of NNE and WNW conjugate faults in eastern Iran.Such consecutive deformation events perpendicular to each other are inconsistent with the models of simple linear orogen presented for eastern Iran(i.e.rifting of eastern Iran continental crust and subsequence linear collision)and seem more consistent with the buckling orogeny(Orocline).展开更多
Thrust estimation is a significant part of aeroengine thrust control systems.The traditional estimation methods are either low in accuracy or large in computation.To further improve the estimation effect,a thrust esti...Thrust estimation is a significant part of aeroengine thrust control systems.The traditional estimation methods are either low in accuracy or large in computation.To further improve the estimation effect,a thrust estimator based on Multi-layer Residual Temporal Convolutional Network(M-RTCN)is proposed.To solve the problem of dead Rectified Linear Unit(ReLU),the proposed method uses the Gaussian Error Linear Unit(GELU)activation function instead of ReLU in residual block.Then the overall architecture of the multi-layer convolutional network is adjusted by using residual connections,so that the network thrust estimation effect and memory consumption are further improved.Moreover,the comparison with seven other methods shows that the proposed method has the advantages of higher estimation accuracy and faster convergence speed.Furthermore,six neural network models are deployed in the embedded controller of the micro-turbojet engine.The Hardware-in-the-Loop(HIL)testing results demonstrate the superiority of M-RTCN in terms of estimation accuracy,memory occupation and running time.Finally,an ignition verification is conducted to confirm the expected thrust estimation and real-time performance.展开更多
The Nianzi granite unit,which includes the Nianzi,Xiaolianghou and Xiawopu granitic intrusions,is a significant component of the northern part of the North China Craton(NCC)and is situated in the Yanshan fold and thru...The Nianzi granite unit,which includes the Nianzi,Xiaolianghou and Xiawopu granitic intrusions,is a significant component of the northern part of the North China Craton(NCC)and is situated in the Yanshan fold and thrust belt(YFTB).However,there is still debate regarding the tectonic evolutionary history of the YFTB during the late Permian to Triassic period,specifically regarding the timing of subduction and collision between the NCC and the Paleo-Asian Ocean.The Nianzi granite unit exhibits unique petrological,geochronological and geochemical signatures that shed light on the tectonic evolutionary history of the YFTB.This study presents detailed petrology,whole-rock geochemistry,together with Sr-Nd isotopic,zircon U-Pb dating and Lu-Hf isotopic data of the granites within the Nianzi granite unit.Our findings demonstrate that the granites primarily consist of subhedral K-feldspar,plagioclase,quartz,minor biotite and hornblende,with accessory titanite,apatite,magnetite and zircon.Zircon U-Pb dating indicates that the Xiaolianghou granite was emplaced at 247.5±0.62 Ma.Additionally,the adakitic characteristics of the Nianzi,Xiawopu and Xiaolianghou granitic intrusions,such as high Sr and Ba contents and high ratios of Sr/Y and(La/Yb)N,combined with negative Sr-Nd and Lu-Hf isotopes(87Sr/86Sr)i=0.705681–0.7057433,εNd(t)=−21.98 to−20.97,zirconεHf(t)=−20.26 to−9.92,as well as the I-type granite features of high SiO_(2),Na_(2)O and K_(2)O/Na_(2)O ratios,enriched Rb,K,Sr and Ba,along with depleted Th,U,Nb,Ta,P and Ti,suggest that the Nianzi granitic unit was mainly derived from the partial melting of a thickened lower crust containing hydrous,calc-alkaline to high-K calc-alkaline,mafic to intermediate metamorphic rocks.In light of these parameters,we further integrate our data with previous studies and conclude that the Nianzi granitic unit was generated in a post-collisional extensional environment during the Early Triassic.展开更多
To reduce thrust ripple and cost and improve the average thrust of permanent magnet linear motors,a modular dual-field modulation permanent magnet linear motor was studied,and the parameters were optimized.First,sensi...To reduce thrust ripple and cost and improve the average thrust of permanent magnet linear motors,a modular dual-field modulation permanent magnet linear motor was studied,and the parameters were optimized.First,sensitive parameters were selected using the Taguchi method,and then the optimal variables were sampled using the optimal Latin hypercube experimental design method and an ensemble of surrogates model of optimization objectives,and its accuracy was verified.Next,a multi-objective particle swarm optimization algorithm was used to optimize the purpose of“maximum average thrust and minimum thrust ripple”,and the Pareto front of average thrust and thrust ripple was obtained.Finite element analysis showed that the optimized modular dual flux-modulation permanent magnet linear motor(MDFMPMLM)had a 29.5%reduction in thrust ripple and a 5%increase in average thrust compared to the original motor.This study provided an effective method for improving the performance of permanent magnet linear motors.展开更多
The averaged equation of motion for linear acceleration in the BCF swimming mode was derived using the Elongated Body Theory(EBT)through time averaging.An analytical solution for the linear acceleration swimming veloc...The averaged equation of motion for linear acceleration in the BCF swimming mode was derived using the Elongated Body Theory(EBT)through time averaging.An analytical solution for the linear acceleration swimming velocity was obtained,revealing that the average velocity follows a hyperbolic tangent function of time,which can be considered a semi-empirical formula for linear acceleration swimming.The formula’s parameters,such as the steady swimming velocity and the acceleration time constant,can be determined by conducting experiments on linear acceleration,enabling the estimation of drag coefficient,effective added mass,thrust,and drag force.We developed a tensegrity robotic tuna and conducted a linear acceleration experiment.The results confirmed both the averaged equation of motion and its empirical formula,indicating that the formula is not limited by EBT and can be extended to large amplitude swimming and thunniform swimmers with large aspect ratio caudal fins.This provides researchers with an efficient and easy-to-implement method to estimate the swimming thrust and drag forces through linear acceleration experiments,without the need for complex and expensive flow field and force measurement equipment.展开更多

文摘Accurate thrust assessment is crucial for characterizing the performance of micro-thrusters.This paper presents a comprehensive evaluation of the thrust generated by a needle-type indium field emission electric propulsion(In-FEEP)micro-thruster using three methods based on a pendulum:direct thrust measurement,indirect plume momentum transfer and beam current diagnostics.The experimental setup utilized capacitive displacement sensors for force detection and a voice coil motor as a feedback actuator,achieving a resolution better than 0.1μN.Key performance factors such as ionization and plume divergence of ejected charged particles were also examined.The study reveals that the high applied voltage induces significant electrostatic interference,becoming the dominant source of error in direct thrust measurements.Beam current diagnostics and indirect plume momentum measurements were conducted simultaneously,showing strong agreement within a deviation of less than 0.2N across the operational thrust range.The results from all three methods are consistent within the error margins,verifying the reliability of the indirect measurement approach and the theoretical thrust model based on the electrical parameters of In-FEEP.

文摘Thrust-vectoring capability has become a critical feature for propulsion systems as space missions move from static to dynamic.Thrust-vectoring is a well-developed area of rocket engine science.For electric propulsion,however,it is an evolving field that has taken a new leap forward in recent years.A review and analysis of thrust-vectoring schemes for electric propulsion systems have been conducted.The scope of this review includes thrust-vectoring schemes that can be implemented for electrostatic,electromagnetic,and beam-driven thrusters.A classification of electric propulsion schemes that provide thrust-vectoring capability is developed.More attention is given to schemes implemented in laboratory prototypes and flight models.The final part is devoted to a discussion on the suitability of different electric propulsion systems with thrust-vectoring capability for modern space mission operations.The thrust-vectoring capability of electric propulsion is necessary for inner and outer space satellites,which are at a disadvantage with conventional unidirectional propulsion systems due to their limited maneuverability.

文摘The development of the adaptive cycle engine is a crucial direction of advanced fighter power sources in the near future.However,this new technology brings more uncertainty to the design of the control system.To address the versatile thrust demand under complex dynamic characteristics of the adaptive cycle engine,this paper proposes a direct thrust estimation and control method based on the Model-Free Adaptive Control(MFAC)algorithm.First,an improved Sliding Mode Control-MFAC(SMC-MFAC)algorithm has been developed by introducing a sliding mode variable structure into the standard Full Format Dynamic Linearization-MFAC(FFDL-MFAC)and designing self-adaptive weight coefficients.Then a trivariate double-loop direct thrust control structure with a controller-based thrust estimator and an outer command compensation loop has been established.Through thrust feedback and command correction,accurate control under multi-mode and operation conditions is achieved.The main contribution of this paper is the improved algorithm that combines the tracking capability of the MFAC and the robustness of the SMC,thus enhancing the dynamic performance.Considering the requirements of the online thrust feedback,the designed MFAC-based thrust estimator significantly speeds up the calculation.Additionally,the proposed command correction module can achieve the adaptive thrust control without affecting the operation of the inner loop.Simulations and Hardware-in-Loop(HIL)experiments have been performed on an adaptive cycle engine component-level model to investigate the estimation and control effect under different modes and health conditions.The results demonstrate that both the thrust estimation precision and operation speed are significantly improved compared with Extended Kalman Filter(EKF).Furthermore,the system can accelerate the response of the controlled plant,reduce the overshoot,and realize the thrust recovery within the safety range when the engine encounters the degradation.

文摘Exploring solid propellants for electric thrusters can simplify the propellant storage and supply units in propulsion systems.In this study,polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE),commonly used as a propellant in pulsed plasma thrusters,was embedded in the discharge chamber of a radio frequency ion thruster(RIT-4)to investigate the performance of an ablation-type RIT.Experimental results indicate that PTFE can decompose and ionize stably under plasma ablation within the discharge chamber,producing-C-F-and F-ion clusters that form a stable plasma.By adjusting the length of the PTFE propellant,it was observed that its decomposition rate influences the ion beam current of the thruster.Compared with xenon,PTFE generates an ion plume with a larger divergence angle,ranging from 16.05°to 22.74°at an ion beam current of 25 mA,with a floating potential distribution of 8‒56 V.Assuming that the proportion of neutral gas in the vacuum chamber matches the ion species ratio in the ion plume,thrust,specific impulse and efficiency parameters were calculated for the RIT-4 with embedded PTFE.Under 50 W RF power,the thrust was approximately 1.02 mN,the specific impulse was around 1236 s and the power-to-thrust ratio was approximately 93.14 W/mN.All results indicate that PTFE is a viable propellant for RIT,but the key is to control the rate of decomposition.

文摘This paper proposes a novel impulsive thrust strategy guided by optimal continuous thrust strategy to address two-player orbital pursuit-evasion game under impulsive thrust control.The strategy seeks to enhance the interpretability of impulsive thrust strategy by integrating it within the framework of differential game in traditional continuous systems.First,this paper introduces an impulse-like constraint,with periodical changes in thrust amplitude,to characterize the impulsive thrust control.Then,the game with the impulse-like constraint is converted into the two-point boundary value problem,which is solved by the combined shooting and deep learning method proposed in this paper.Deep learning and numerical optimization are employed to obtain the guesses for unknown terminal adjoint variables and the game terminal time.Subsequently,the accurate values are solved by the shooting method to yield the optimal continuous thrust strategy with the impulse-like constraint.Finally,the shooting method is iteratively employed at each impulse decision moment to derive the impulsive thrust strategy guided by the optimal continuous thrust strategy.Numerical examples demonstrate the convergence of the combined shooting and deep learning method,even if the strongly nonlinear impulse-like constraint is introduced.The effect of the impulsive thrust strategy guided by the optimal continuous thrust strategy is also discussed.

文摘Strong tectonic activities and diagenetic evolution encourage the development of natural fractures as typical features in deep tight sandstone reservoirs of foreland thrust belts.This study focused on the Jurassic in the southern Junggar Basin to comprehensively analyze the fracture characteristics and differential distribution and,ultimately,addressed the controlling mechanisms of tectonism and diagenesis on fracture effectiveness.Results revealed that the intensity of tectonic activities determines the complexity of tectonic fracture systems to create various fracture orientations when they have been stronger.The intense tectonic deformation would impact the stratum occurrence,which results in a wide range of fracture dip angles.Moreover,as the intensity of tectonic activities and deformations weakens,the scale and degree of tectonic fractures would decrease continuously.The control of tectonism on fracture effectiveness is reflected in the notable variations in the filling of multiple group fractures developed during different tectonic activity periods.Fractures formed in the early stages are more likely to be filled with minerals,causing their effectiveness to deteriorate significantly.Additionally,the strong cementation in the diagenetic evolution can cause more fractures to be filled with minerals and become barriers to fluid flow,which is detrimental to fracture effectiveness.However,dissolution is beneficial in improving their effectiveness by increasing fracture aperture and their connectivity to the pores.These insights can refine the development pattern of natural fractures and contribute to revealing the evolutionary mechanisms of fracture effectiveness in deep tight sandstone reservoirs of foreland thrust belts.

文摘Rotating machinery in the aviation industry is increasingly embracing high speeds and miniaturization,and foil dynamic pressure gas bearing has great application value due to its self-lubrication and self-adaptive deformation characteristics.This study explores the interaction mechanism between micro-scale variable-sectional shearing flow with hyper-rotation speeds and a three-layer elastic foil assembly through bidirectional aero-elastic coupling in a Multi-layer Thrust Gas Foil Bearing(MTGFB).The bearing capacity of the MTGFB varies non-linearly with the decrease of gas film clearance,while the collaborative deformation of the three-layer elastic foil assembly can deal with different load conditions.As the load capacity increases,the enhanced dynamic pressure effect causes the top foil to evolve from a single arch to multiple arches.The hydrodynamic effects in the gas film evolve to form multiple segmented wedges with different pitch ratios,while the peak pressure of the gas film always occurs near the vaults of the top foil.As the rotational speed frequency approaches the natural frequency,the resonance of the gas film and elastic foil assembly system occurs,and a phase delay occurs between the pressure pulsation and the vibration of foils.The load capacity of the MTGFB also depends on the elastic moduli of the elastic foil assembly.Increasing the elastic modulus decreases the deformation amplitude of the top foil,whereas it increases those of the backboard and middle foil,increasing the load capacity.

文摘Direct Thrust Control(DTC) is effective in dealing with the mismatch between thrust and rotor speed in traditional engine control. Among the DTC architecture, model-based thrust estimation method has less arithmetic consumption and better real-time performance. In this paper,a direct thrust controller design approach for gas turbine engine based on parameter dependent model is proposed. In order to ensure the stability of DTC control system based on parameter dependent model, there are usually conservatism detects. For the purpose of reducing the conservatism in the solution process of filter and controller, an Equilibrium Manifold Expansion(EME) model with bounded parameter variation of engine is established. The design conditions of Kalman filter for discrete-time EME system are introduced, and the proposed conditions have a certain suppression effect on the input noise of the system with bounded parameter variation.The engine thrust estimator stability and H∞filtering problems are solved by the polytopic quadratic Lyapunov function based on the Linear Matrix Inequalities(LMIs). To meet the performance requirements of thrust control, the Grey Wolf Optimization(GWO) algorithm is applied to optimize the PID control parameters. The proposed method is verified on a Hardware-in-Loop(HIL) platform. The simulation results demonstrate that the DTC framework can ensure the stability of engine closed-loop system in large range deviation tests. The filter and controller solution method considering the parameter variation boundary can obtain a solution that makes the system have better performance parameters. Moreover, the proposed filter has better thrust estimation performance than the traditional Kalman filter under the condition of sensor noise. Compared with Augmented Linear Quadratic Regulator(ALQR) controller, the PID controller optimized by GWO has a faster response in simulation.

文摘For deep prospects in the foreland thrust belt,southern Junggar Basin,NW China,there are uncertainties in factors controlling the structural deformation,distribution of paleo-structures and detachment layers,and distribution of major hydrocarbon source rocks.Based on the latest 3D seismic,gravity-magnetic,and drilling data,together with the results of previous structural physical simulation and discrete element numerical simulation experiments,the spatial distribution of pre-existing paleo-structures and detachment layers in deep strata of southern Junggar Basin were systematically characterized,the structural deformation characteristics and formation mechanisms were analyzed,the distribution patterns of multiple hydrocarbon source rock suites were clarified,and hydrocarbon accumulation features in key zones were reassessed.The exploration targets in deep lower assemblages with possibility of breakthrough were expected.Key results are obtained in three aspects.First,structural deformation is controlled by two-stage paleo-structures and three detachment layers with distinct lateral variations:the Jurassic layer(moderate thickness,wide distribution),the Cretaceous layer(thickest but weak detachment),and the Paleogene layer(thin but long-distance lateral thrusting).Accordingly,a four-layer composite deformation sequence was identified,and the structural genetic model with paleo-bulge controlling zonation by segments laterally and multiple detachment layers controlling sequence vertically.Second,the Permian source rocks show a distribution pattern with narrow trough(west),multiple sags(central),and broad basin(east),which is depicted by combining high-precision gravity-magnetic data and time-frequency electromagnetic data for the first time,and the Jurassic source rocks feature thicker mudstones in the west and rich coals in the east according to the reassessment.Third,two petroleum systems and a four-layer composite hydrocarbon accumulation model are established depending on the structural deformation strength,trap effectiveness and source-trap configuration.The southern Junggar Basin is divided into three segments with ten zones,and a hierarchical exploration strategy is proposed for deep lower assemblages in this region,that is,focusing on five priority zones,expanding to three potential areas,and challenging two high-risk targets.

文摘The curve of landslide thrust plays a key role in landslide design.The commonly used transfer coefficient method(TCM)and Morgenstern-Price method(MPM)are analyzed.TCM does not take into account the moment balance between slices.Although MPM considers the moment balance,the calculation is complex,and it does not consider that the force between slices may be less than zero at the back edge of the landslide.The rationality and feasibility of the improved MPM are verified by calculating the landslide stability coefficient and landslide thrust at different reservoir water levels.This paper studies the law of landslide thrust when the reservoir water level changes,and discusses the determination of design thrust,to provide a certain theoretical basis for the design of reservoir landslides.

文摘Many high-precision space missions need thrusters to produce thrust with low noise to compensate for disturbances and ensure satellite platform stability. Microwave ion thruster is characterized with a wide thrust range and potential for these missions. A cost-effective and accurate mathematical model is crucial for mHz-frequency thrust noise analysis and feedback controller design. The Particle-In-Cell(PIC) and global models are two common simulation tools. The PIC model is characterized with high accuracy but huge computation cost, which is difficult to analyze long-time performance characteristics. Now, the global model is only used for the discharge chamber with low accuracy and cannot reflect ion extraction properties. In this paper, an integrative mathematical model is built for a 1-cm microwave ion thruster and can reflect ion beamlet divergence and impingement on the Accelerator Grid(AG). Simulation results show good agreement with experiments at 0.06 sccm. However, the model demonstrates worse consistency with experiments when the flux increases to 0.1 sccm, which may be because the influence of neutral gas on the Electron Cyclotron Resonance(ECR) is not considered in the model. A long-time(1000 s) simulation is conducted with this model under 35 μN. It takes 3 hrs, and the thrust noise reaches 1 μN/Hz^(0.5) at 1 mHz.

文摘The common propellants used for electric thrusters, such as xenon and krypton, are rare, expensive,and difficult to acquire. Solid iodine attracts much attention with the advantages of low cost,extensive availability, low vapor pressure, and ionization potential. The performance of a lowpower iodine-fed Hall thruster matched with a xenon-fed cathode is investigated across a broad range of operation conditions. Regulation of the iodine vapor's mass flow rates is stably achieved by using a temperature control method of the iodine reservoir. The thrust measurements are finished utilizing a thrust target during the tests. Results show that thrust and anode-specific impulse increase approximately linearly with the increasing iodine mass flow rate.At the nominal power of 200 W class, iodine mass flow rates are 0.62 and 0.93 mg/s, thrusts are7.19 and 7.58 m N, anode specific impulses are 1184 and 826 s, anode efficiencies are 20.8%and 14.5%, and thrust to power ratios are 35.9 and 37.9 m N/k W under the conditions of 250 V,0.8 A and 200 V, 1.0 A, respectively. The operating characteristics of iodine-fed Hall thruster are analyzed in different states. Further work on the measurements of plasma characteristics and experimental optimization will be carried out.

文摘In order to realize the thrust estimation of the Hall thruster during its flight mission,this study establishes an estimation method based on measurement of the Hall drift current.In this method,the Hall drift current is calculated from an inverse magnetostatic problem,which is formulated according to its induced magnetic flux density detected by sensors,and then the thrust is estimated by multiplying the Hall drift current with the characteristic magnetic flux density of the thruster itself.In addition,a three-wire torsion pendulum micro-thrust measurement system is utilized to verify the estimate values obtained from the proposed method.The errors were found to be less than 8%when the discharge voltage ranged from 250 V to 350 V and the anode flow rate ranged from 30 sccm to 50 sccm,indicating the possibility that the proposed thrust estimate method could be practically applied.Moreover,the measurement accuracy of the magnetic flux density is suggested to be lower than 0.015 mT and improvement on the inverse problem solution is required in the future.

文摘This paper proposes an optimal,robust,and efficient guidance scheme for the perturbed minimum-time low-thrust transfer toward the geostationary orbit.The Earth’s oblateness perturbation and shadow are taken into account.It is difficult for a Lyapunov-based or trajectory-tracking guidance method to possess multiple characteristics at the same time,including high guidance optimality,robustness,and onboard computational efficiency.In this work,a concise relationship between the minimum-time transfer problem with orbital averaging and its optimal solution is identified,which reveals that the five averaged initial costates that dominate the optimal thrust direction can be approximately determined by only four initial modified equinoctial orbit elements after a coordinate transformation.Based on this relationship,the optimal averaged trajectories constituting the training dataset are randomly generated around a nominal averaged trajectory.Five polynomial regression models are trained on the training dataset and are regarded as the costate estimators.In the transfer,the spacecraft can obtain the real-time approximate optimal thrust direction by combining the costate estimations provided by the estimators with the current state at any time.Moreover,all these computations onboard are analytical.The simulation results show that the proposed guidance scheme possesses extremely high guidance optimality,robustness,and onboard computational efficiency.

文摘The Bypass Dual Throat Nozzle(BDTN)is a novel fluidic Thrust Vectoring(TV)nozzle,it switches to TV state by opening the valve in the bypass.To greatly manipulate the BDTN,the dynamic characteristics in the TV starting process should be analyzed.This paper conducts numerical simulations to grasp the variation processes of performances and the flow field evolution of BDTN and Dual Throat Nozzle(DTN).The dynamic responses of TV starting in typical DTN models are investigated at first.Then,the TV starting processes of BDTN in different Nozzle Pressure Ratio(NPR)conditions are simulated,and the valve opening durations(T)are also considered.Before the expected TV direction is achieved in the DTN,the jet is deflected to the opposite direction at the beginning of the dynamic process,which is called the reverse TV phenomenon.However,this phenomenon disappears in the BDTN.The larger injection width of DTN intensifies unsteady oscillations,and the reverse TV phenomenon is strengthened.In the BDTN,T determines the delay degree of performance variations compared to the static results,which is called hysteresis effect.At NPR=10,the hysteresis affects the final stable performance of BDTN.This study analyses the dynamic characteristics in DTN and BDTN,laying a foundation for further design of nozzles and control strategies.

文摘The eastern Iranian range,known as the Sistan suture zone in the past,has recently been identified as the Sistan orogen.This Paleogene orogeny is located between the Lut and Afghan microcontinents.The structural analysis shows that most of the thrusts dip towards the NW so that the Permo-Triassic sediments and Jurassic micro-diorites of the Lut Block overthrusted over the younger rocks.Structural studies show that the tectonic vergence was from the NW to the SE of the Sechengi area in the NW part of Sistan orogen.We recognized three deformation phases in eastern Iran.The first N-S deformation event(D1)resulted in the formation of tight E-W folds(F1)and associated cleavages(S1).The second E-W deformation event(D2),which occurred in the late Paleogene led to the bending of older structures,including the axial plane of the first-generation folds giving them a new northwest direction(F2).Additionally,the ramp of the first-phase thrusts(striking E-W)was reactivated,acquiring a new NNW orientation and exhibiting SSE tectonic vergence.The third deformation event(D3)resulted in the formation of NNE and WNW conjugate faults in eastern Iran.Such consecutive deformation events perpendicular to each other are inconsistent with the models of simple linear orogen presented for eastern Iran(i.e.rifting of eastern Iran continental crust and subsequence linear collision)and seem more consistent with the buckling orogeny(Orocline).

文摘Thrust estimation is a significant part of aeroengine thrust control systems.The traditional estimation methods are either low in accuracy or large in computation.To further improve the estimation effect,a thrust estimator based on Multi-layer Residual Temporal Convolutional Network(M-RTCN)is proposed.To solve the problem of dead Rectified Linear Unit(ReLU),the proposed method uses the Gaussian Error Linear Unit(GELU)activation function instead of ReLU in residual block.Then the overall architecture of the multi-layer convolutional network is adjusted by using residual connections,so that the network thrust estimation effect and memory consumption are further improved.Moreover,the comparison with seven other methods shows that the proposed method has the advantages of higher estimation accuracy and faster convergence speed.Furthermore,six neural network models are deployed in the embedded controller of the micro-turbojet engine.The Hardware-in-the-Loop(HIL)testing results demonstrate the superiority of M-RTCN in terms of estimation accuracy,memory occupation and running time.Finally,an ignition verification is conducted to confirm the expected thrust estimation and real-time performance.

文摘The Nianzi granite unit,which includes the Nianzi,Xiaolianghou and Xiawopu granitic intrusions,is a significant component of the northern part of the North China Craton(NCC)and is situated in the Yanshan fold and thrust belt(YFTB).However,there is still debate regarding the tectonic evolutionary history of the YFTB during the late Permian to Triassic period,specifically regarding the timing of subduction and collision between the NCC and the Paleo-Asian Ocean.The Nianzi granite unit exhibits unique petrological,geochronological and geochemical signatures that shed light on the tectonic evolutionary history of the YFTB.This study presents detailed petrology,whole-rock geochemistry,together with Sr-Nd isotopic,zircon U-Pb dating and Lu-Hf isotopic data of the granites within the Nianzi granite unit.Our findings demonstrate that the granites primarily consist of subhedral K-feldspar,plagioclase,quartz,minor biotite and hornblende,with accessory titanite,apatite,magnetite and zircon.Zircon U-Pb dating indicates that the Xiaolianghou granite was emplaced at 247.5±0.62 Ma.Additionally,the adakitic characteristics of the Nianzi,Xiawopu and Xiaolianghou granitic intrusions,such as high Sr and Ba contents and high ratios of Sr/Y and(La/Yb)N,combined with negative Sr-Nd and Lu-Hf isotopes(87Sr/86Sr)i=0.705681–0.7057433,εNd(t)=−21.98 to−20.97,zirconεHf(t)=−20.26 to−9.92,as well as the I-type granite features of high SiO_(2),Na_(2)O and K_(2)O/Na_(2)O ratios,enriched Rb,K,Sr and Ba,along with depleted Th,U,Nb,Ta,P and Ti,suggest that the Nianzi granitic unit was mainly derived from the partial melting of a thickened lower crust containing hydrous,calc-alkaline to high-K calc-alkaline,mafic to intermediate metamorphic rocks.In light of these parameters,we further integrate our data with previous studies and conclude that the Nianzi granitic unit was generated in a post-collisional extensional environment during the Early Triassic.
文摘To reduce thrust ripple and cost and improve the average thrust of permanent magnet linear motors,a modular dual-field modulation permanent magnet linear motor was studied,and the parameters were optimized.First,sensitive parameters were selected using the Taguchi method,and then the optimal variables were sampled using the optimal Latin hypercube experimental design method and an ensemble of surrogates model of optimization objectives,and its accuracy was verified.Next,a multi-objective particle swarm optimization algorithm was used to optimize the purpose of“maximum average thrust and minimum thrust ripple”,and the Pareto front of average thrust and thrust ripple was obtained.Finite element analysis showed that the optimized modular dual flux-modulation permanent magnet linear motor(MDFMPMLM)had a 29.5%reduction in thrust ripple and a 5%increase in average thrust compared to the original motor.This study provided an effective method for improving the performance of permanent magnet linear motors.

文摘The averaged equation of motion for linear acceleration in the BCF swimming mode was derived using the Elongated Body Theory(EBT)through time averaging.An analytical solution for the linear acceleration swimming velocity was obtained,revealing that the average velocity follows a hyperbolic tangent function of time,which can be considered a semi-empirical formula for linear acceleration swimming.The formula’s parameters,such as the steady swimming velocity and the acceleration time constant,can be determined by conducting experiments on linear acceleration,enabling the estimation of drag coefficient,effective added mass,thrust,and drag force.We developed a tensegrity robotic tuna and conducted a linear acceleration experiment.The results confirmed both the averaged equation of motion and its empirical formula,indicating that the formula is not limited by EBT and can be extended to large amplitude swimming and thunniform swimmers with large aspect ratio caudal fins.This provides researchers with an efficient and easy-to-implement method to estimate the swimming thrust and drag forces through linear acceleration experiments,without the need for complex and expensive flow field and force measurement equipment.
