By using the improved self-consistent schemeproposed by Fan and carrying out a delicate mesoscop- ic analysisbased on a shear-lag model, the size effects including the thicknessof hard and soft layers relative to the inclusion dimension areobtained on the overall elastoplastic responses of materials up to 50cycles. The dominant characteristics of the analysis are that thecharacteristic dimension of a microstructure such as The thickness ofthe layers and the inclusion dimension can be explicitly incorporatedinto the formulation.展开更多

However, precise and accurate quantitative indices to estimate their potential effect remain scarce. Fourteen patients were recruited from the Neuro-Rehabilitation Unit of Hangzhou Hospital of Zhejiang Armed Police Corps of China. Altogether, there were seven cases of unresponsive wakefulness syndrome(five males and two females, aged 45.7 ± 16.8 years) and seven cases of minimally conscious state(six males and one female, aged 42.3 ± 20.8 years). Simultaneously, fourteen healthy controls(10 males and 4 females, aged 51.7 ± 9.7 years) also participated in this case-control experiment. Brain response to music, subjects' own name, and noise was monitored by quantitative electroencephalography(QEEG) in the resting state and with acoustic stimulation. Predictive QEEG values in various brain regions were investigated. Our results show that cerebral activation was high in subjects stimulated by their own name, especially in the temporal lobe in patients with disorders of consciousness, and the frontal lobe in the control group. Further, during resting and stimulation, QEEG index(δ + θ/α + β ratio) negatively correlated with the Coma Recovery Scale-Revised score in traumatic disorders of consciousness patients. Hence, we speculate that a subject's own name might be an effective awakening therapy for patients with disorders of consciousness. Moreover, QEEG index in specific stimulation states may be used as a prognostic indicator for disorders of consciousness patients(sensitivity, 75%; specificity, 50%).展开更多

To fill this gap, this study first defines map scale change and spatial similarity degree/relation in multi-scale map spaces and then proposes a model for calculating the degree of spatial similarity between a point cloud at one scale and its gener- alized counterpart at another scale. After validation, the new model features 16 points with map scale change as the x coordinate and the degree of spatial similarity as the y coordinate. Finally, using an application for curve fitting, the model achieves an empirical formula that can calculate the degree of spatial similarity using map scale change as the sole independent variable, and vice versa. This formula can be used to automate algorithms for point feature generalization and to determine when to terminate them during the generalization.展开更多

Via genetic algorithm-partial least square (GPLS) method, quantitative structure-activity relationship (QSAR) model was constructed by GH-scale for 152 human leukocyte antigen (HLA)-A*0201-restricted cytotoxic T lymphocyte (CTL) epitopes with the model estimated and cross-validated correlative coefficients of R2 = 0.813 and Q2 = 0.725, respectively. It was in- dicated that hydrophobic interaction played an im- portant role in HLA-A*0201-CTL interaction, promi- nently at anchor residues.展开更多
