The structural characteristics of the three-dimensional (3D) metamaterial consist in the high symmetry and the superposition of metallic cross-pairs, which can increase the magnetic inductive coupling between adjacent cross-pairs and realize a broadband and isotropic NRI. The proposed 3D structure is simulated using the CS~ Microwave Studio 2006 to verify the design validity. The simulation results show that the proposed structure can not only realize simultaneously an electric and magnetic response to an incident electromagnetic (EM) wave, but also exhibit a broadband NRI whose relative bandwidth can reach up to 56.7%. In addition, the NRI band is insensitive to tile polarization and the incident angle of the incident EM wave. Therefore, the proposed metamaterial is a good candidate material as three-dimensional broadband isotropic NRI metamaterial.展开更多

The instrument for three-dimensional (3D) surface topography measurement was composed of a high precision displacement sensor based on the Michelson interference principle, a 3D platform based on vertical scanning, a measuring and control circuit, and an industrial control computer. It was a closed loop control system, which changed the traditional moving stylus scanning style into a moving platform scanning style. When the workpiece was measured, the lever of the displacement sensor returned to the balanced position in every sample interval according to the zero offset of the displacement sensor. The non-linear error caused by the rotation of the lever was, therefore, very small even if the measuring range was wide. The instrument can measure the roughness and the profile size of a curved surface.展开更多

文摘We combined domestic ground-based and satellite magnetic measurements to create a regional three-dimensional surface Spline(3DSS)gradient model of the main geomagnetic field over the Chinese continent. To improve the precision of the model,we considered the data gap between the ground and satellite data.We compared and analyzed the results of the Taylor polynomial, surface Spline, and CHAOS-6(the CHAMP,?rsted and SAC-C model of Earth’s magnetic field)gradient models. Results showed that the gradients in the south-north and east-west directions of the four models were consistent. The 3DSS model was able to express not only gradients at different altitudes, but also average gradients inside the research area. The two Spline models were able to capture more information on gradient anomalies than were the fitted models.Strong local anomalies were observed in northern Xinjiang,Beijing, and the junction area between Jiangsu and Zhejiang, and the total intensity F decreased whereas the altitude increased. The gradient decreased by 21.69%in the south-north direction and increased by 11.78%in the east-west direction. In addition, the altitude gradient turned from negative to positive while the altitude increased. The Spline model and the two fitted models differed mainly in the field sources they expressed and the modeling theory.

文摘Quantum error correction technology is an important method to eliminate errors during the operation of quantum computers. In order to solve the problem of influence of errors on physical qubits,we propose an approximate error correction scheme that performs dimension mapping operations on surface codes. This error correction scheme utilizes the topological properties of error correction codes to map the surface code dimension to three dimensions.Compared to previous error correction schemes, the present three-dimensional surface code exhibits good scalability due to its higher redundancy and more efficient error correction capabilities.By reducing the number of ancilla qubits required for error correction, this approach achieves savings in measurement space and reduces resource consumption costs. In order to improve the decoding efficiency and solve the problem of the correlation between the surface code stabilizer and the 3D space after dimension mapping,we employ a reinforcement learning(RL)decoder based on deep Q-learning,which enables faster identification of the optimal syndrome and achieves better thresholds through conditional optimization.Compared to the minimum weight perfect matching decoding, the threshold of the RL trained model reaches 0.78%,which is 56%higher and enables large-scale fault-tolerant quantum computation.

文摘We developed a measuring instrument that had wide range, high precision, small measuring touch force. The instrument can measure the roughness and the profile size of a curved surface.

文摘Runway surface roughness significantly influences aircraft vibrations during takeoff and landing, affecting both flight safety and pavement durability.Aircraft operate at high speeds and wide gear spans, making them sensitive to long-wavelength(15–120 m)and lateral irregularities, which are often overlooked in traditional roughness models. This study aims to construct a three-dimensional runway roughness modeling framework integrating"precise detection-spectrum analysis-spatial reconstruction"in response to this issue.Combining the elevation data of 37 runways(5 asphalt runways and 32 cement runways)measured by a vehicle-mounted laser profilometer and the BeiDou positioning system, the power spectrum analysis was carried out by the Burg method and the spectrum models of asphalt and cement runways were fitted respectively.Meanwhile,a new exponential lateral coherence function was proposed. Finally, the three-dimensional spatial model was reconstructed by using the transfer function and genetic algorithm. The results show that the error of the measured elevation data is less than 1 cm.The spectral characteristics of different pavement types are significantly different.Among them, the R^(2) of the asphalt runway fitted with the Sussman model is greater than 0.9.The cement runway needs to be characterized by a piecewise function to represent the spectral mutation. The fitting error of the new index's lateral coherence function has been reduced to 0.012.The reconstructed three-dimensional model is in good agreement with the theoretical value and the error does not exceed 0.18 mm^(2) m/c.Finally,a three-dimensional model of 0–20 m in the lateral direction and 3000 m in the longitudinal direction is generated, providing support for aircraft vibration simulation and pavement maintenance.

文摘Today,a well-devised charging operation scheme is urgently needed by on-site workmen and is critical for building an intelligent blast furnace(BF).Previous research on charging operations always focused on the two-dimensional shape of the burden surface(i.e.,a single radial profile)while neglecting the unique feature of global dissymmetry, severely restricting the development of precise charging. For this reason, this study proposes an innovative optimization strategy for the charging operation under the three-dimensional burden surface, which is the first attempt in this field.First,a practicable region partitioning scheme is introduced, and the partitioning results are then integrated with the charging mechanism to construct a three-dimensional burden surface prediction model.Next, the intrinsic relationship between the operational parameters and charging volume is revealed based on the law of mass conservation, which forms the basis for defining a novel operational parameter with variable-speed utility, referred to as the neotype charging matrix(NCM).To find the best NCM,a customized NCM optimization strategy, involving a dual constraint handling technique in conjunction with a two-stage hybrid variable differential evolution algorithm,is further developed. The industrial experiment results manifest that the partitioning scheme significantly enhances the accuracy of burden surface description. Moreover, the NCM optimization strategy offers greater flexibility and higher accuracy than current mainstream optimization strategies for the charging matrix(CM).

文摘In recent years, research investigations have focused on the substantial freshwater storage in the Beaufort Gyre(BG)region due to climate change.Despite active mesoscale eddies in the area,a notable gap in understanding the three-dimensional structure and induced transport has been observed. This study concentrates on the Canada Basin in the western Arctic Ocean, specifically examining a subsurface anticyclonic eddy(SAE)sampled by a Mooring A in the BG region.Hybrid Coordinate Ocean Model(HYCOM)analysis data reveal its lifecycle from February 15 to March 15,2017,marked by initiation, development, maturity, decay, and termination stages. This work extends the finding of SAE passing through Mooring A by examining its overall effects, spatiotemporal variations, and swirl transport.SAE generation through baroclinic instability, which contributes to the westward tilt of the vertical axis,is also confirmed in this study.Swirl transport induced by SAE is predominantly eastward and downward due to its trajectory and background flow.SAE temporarily weakens stratification and extends the subsurface depth but demonstrates transient effects. Moreover,SAE transports upper-layer freshwater,Pacific Winter Water, and Atlantic Water downward, emphasizing its potential influence on freshwater redistribution in the Canadian Basin. This research provides valuable insights into mesoscale eddy dynamics, revealing their role in modulating the upper water mass in the BG region.

文摘Fracture surface contour study is one of the important requirements for characterization and evaluation of the microstructure of rocks.Based on the improved cube covering method and the 3D contour digital reconstruction model, this study proposes a quantitative microstructure characterization method combining the roughness evaluation index and the 3D fractal dimension to study the change rule of the fracture surface morphology after blasting. This method was applied and validated in the study of the fracture microstructure of the rock after blasting. The results show that the fracture morphology characteristics of the 3D contour digital reconstruction model have good correlation with the changes of the blasting action. The undulation rate of the three-dimensional surface profile of the rock is more prone to dramatic rise and dramatic fall morphology. In terms of tilting trend, the tilting direction also shows gradual disorder, with the tilting angle increasing correspondingly. All the roughness evaluation indexes of the rock fissure surface after blasting show a linear and gradually increasing trend as the distance to the bursting center increases;the difference between the two-dimensional roughness evaluation indexes and the three-dimensional ones of the same micro-area rock samples also becomes increasingly larger, among which the three-dimensional fissure roughness coefficient JRC and the surface roughness ratio Rs display better correlation.Compared with the linear fitting formula of the power function relationship, the three-dimensional fractal dimension of the postblast fissure surface is fitted with the values of JRC and Rs,which renders higher correlation coefficients, and the degree of linear fitting of JRC to the three-dimensional fractal dimension is higher. The fractal characteristics of the blast-affected region form a unity with the three-dimensional roughness evaluation of the fissure surface.
文摘The highly efficient electrochemical treatment technology for dye-polluted wastewater is one of hot research topics in industrial wastewater treatment. This study reported a three-dimensional electrochemical treatment process integrating graphite intercalation compound(GIC)adsorption, direct anodic oxidation, and·OH oxidation for decolourising Reactive Black 5(RB5)from aqueous solutions. The electrochemical process was optimised using the novel progressive central composite design-response surface methodology(CCD-NPRSM),hybrid artificial neural network-extreme gradient boosting(hybrid ANN-XGBoost),and classification and regression trees(CART).CCD-NPRSM and hybrid ANN-XGBoost were employed to minimise errors in evaluating the electrochemical process involving three manipulated operational parameters:current density, electrolysis(treatment)time, and initial dye concentration. The optimised decolourisation efficiencies were 99.30%,96.63%,and 99.14%for CCD-NPRSM,hybrid ANN-XGBoost,and CART,respectively, compared to the 98.46%RB5 removal rate observed experimentally under optimum conditions:approximately 20 mA/cm^(2) of current density,20 min of electrolysis time, and 65 mg/L of RB5.The optimised mineralisation efficiencies ranged between 89%and 92%for different models based on total organic carbon(TOC).Experimental studies confirmed that the predictive efficiency of optimised models ranked in the descending order of hybrid ANN-XGBoost,CCD-NPRSM,and CART.Model validation using analysis of variance(ANOVA)revealed that hybrid ANN-XGBoost had a mean squared error(MSE)and a coefficient of determination(R^(2))of approximately 0.014 and 0.998,respectively,for the RB5 removal efficiency, outperforming CCD-NPRSM with MSE and R^(2) of 0.518 and 0.998,respectively.Overall,the hybrid ANN-XGBoost approach is the most feasible technique for assessing the electrochemical treatment efficiency in RB5 dye wastewater decolourisation.

文摘The exertion of a long-period potential on two-dimensional(2D)systems leads to band-structure downfolding and the formation of mini flat bands, thereby providing a route for band engineering and enabling the realization of new physical phenomena through the tuning of electron–electron interactions. In this work, the effect of the moiré superlattice formed between the substrate and the bottom quintuple layer(QL)of 3-and 4-QL three-dimensional(3D)topological insulator Sb_(2)Te_(3) thin films on the top surface states is investigated. The scanning tunneling spectra reveal that the bulk-like bands exhibit potential variations consistent with the moirépattern. In contrast, the surface states display only minimal potential variations, resulting in the absence of mini-band formation in the top surface states. These surface states remain nearly unaffected,as confirmed by Landau-level spectroscopy and simulations. The results suggest distinct roles of the bottom-surface moirépotential on the bulk states and the top surface states in the weak coupling regime between the two surfaces.

文摘In deep underground engineering construction, the dominant rock failure mode, whether by tension or shear, influences the engineering instability. Therefore, the critical triggering conditions that induce shear or tensile fractures in rocks urgently need further investigation. This paper designs direct shear tests on intact limestone under different normal stress conditions, using binarization methods supplemented by scanning electron microscopy to explore the two-dimensional fracture damage characteristics of limestone joint surfaces.Based on the three-dimensional morphological characteristics of limestone joint surfaces,a method for automatically identifying the three-dimensional curvature of rock joint surfaces is proposed, quantifying the changes in curvature distribution under different normal stresses.Further analysis focused on the proportion of shear damage and high-curvature areas on the upper and lower joint surfaces of limestone. The study examined changes in the cumulative energy of pre-peak acoustic emission and damage under varying effective normal stress-to-shear stress ratios. These results were used to identify and validate the critical threshold range for inducing shear fractures in limestone. The conclusions indicate that the proportion of shear damage area of limestone joint surfaces is positively correlated with effective normal stress. The proportion of high curvature of limestone joint surfaces decreases with increasing normal stress. Both the rapid growth stage of shear damage area and the rapid descent stage of high curvature proportion occur in the effective normal stress to shear stress ratio range of[1.4,1.6].The cumulative energy of pre-peak acoustic emission and damage under different effective normal stress to shear stress ratios increase sharply around the ratio of 1.6,further verifying that the effective normal stress to shear stress ratio range of[1.4,1.6]is the critical threshold range for inducing shear fractures in limestone.

文摘Hydrogen peroxide(H_(2)O_(2))oxidation and reduction reactions(HPOR/HPRR)are pivotal in various innovative electrochemical energy conversion devices.A comprehensive understanding of these mechanisms is critical for catalyst design and performance improvement in these applications. In this work,we systematically investigate the HPOR/HPRR mechanisms on low-index Pt surfaces, specifically Pt(111),Pt(100)and Pt(110),through density functional theory(DFT)calculations combined with the computational hydrogen electrode(CHE)model. For HPOR,all the low-index Pt surfaces exhibit a unified potential-determining step(PDS)involving the electrochemical oxidation of hydroperoxyl intermediates(HOO*).The binding free energy of HOO*(Δ_(GHOO*))emerges as an activity descriptor, with Pt(110)exhibiting the highest HPOR activity. The HPRR mechanism follows a chem-electrochemical(C-EC)pathway.The rate-determining step(RDS)of HPRR is either the cleavage of the HO-OH bond(chemical)or the reduction of HO(electrochemical),depending on their respective activation energies. These activation energies are functions of the HO*binding free energy,Δ_(GHO*),establishingΔ_(GHO*)as the descriptor for HPRR activity prediction.Pt(111)and Pt(100)are identified as the most active HPRR catalysts among the studied metal surfaces, although they still experience a significant overpotential. The scaling relationship betweenΔ_(GHOO*)andΔ_(GHO*)reveals a thermodynamic coupling of HPOR and HPRR,explaining their occurrence on Pt surfaces. These findings provide important insights and activity descriptors for both HPOR and HPRR,providing valuable guidance for the design of electrocatalysts in H_(2)O_(2)-related energy applications and fuel cells.

文摘This study investigated surface roughness, the wettability behavior, and surface energy of Co-based alloy specimens textured using the biomimetic Laser Surface Texturing(LST)method. The surface texture was inspired by the patterns found on marine shells. The impacts of the parameters on wettability,Surface Free Energy(SFE),surface topography, and texture roughness generated by the laser beam tracking a spiral path were investigated.Reducing spiral pitch produces more complicated and chaotic surface patterns. Most surfaces are hydrophobic, and surface roughness and topography influence the Contact Angle(CA).Topography and roughness were affected by frequency and scanning speed;a decrease in scanning speed and frequency generated more chaotic and irregular surface textures. With general factorial analysis and Analysis of Variance(ANOVA),our statistical study reveals that accounting for 88%of the influence, the scanning speed is the primary factor influencing surface roughness. On the other hand, the spiral pitch is essential for defining the struc-tural features of the surface, even if it less influences roughness. The SFE of laser-textured CoCr28Mo alloy specimens was optimizable within the range of 14-32 mN/m.The relevant findings offer valuable insights into optimizing LST for the specific surface properties of the Co-based alloy.

文摘This study experimentally investigates the influence of surfacewettability on the frosting characteristics of three types of corrugated structures(Types A,B,and C)under controlled low-temperature conditions. The experiments were conducted in a constant-temperature bath at a cold surface temperature of–5℃,relative humidity of 90%,and ambient air temperature of 10℃.The results reveal that the variation trends of frost morphology, frost mass, and frost layer thickness are generally consistent across surfaces with different wettability.Among the tested surfaces, frost crystal formation and complete surface coverage occurred latest on the superhydrophobic surface(CA=153.9–165.8℃),next on the bare aluminumsurface(75.3–83.2℃),and earliest on the hydrophilic surface(5.3–7.5℃).At the same frosting duration, the superhydrophobic surface exhibited a sparse and fluffy frost layer, the bare aluminum surface formed a rough and dense frost, while the hydrophilic surface developed a fine and compact frost layer. The amount of frost formation decreased in the order of hydrophilic>bare aluminum>superhydrophobic, indicating that the superhydrophobic surface provides the most significant anti-frosting effect during the initial stages of frost formation. For instance,on the Type A corrugated structure, after 15 min of frosting, the frost mass on the superhydrophobic surface was 38.78%and 68.45%lower than those on the bare aluminum and hydrophilic surfaces, respectively. After 30 min, these differences were 4.99%and 25.26%,respectively.Overall,the superhydrophobic surface exhibited the smallest frost mass and frost layer thickness, demonstrating superior anti-frosting performance compared with the other surface types.

文摘Lithium-sulfur batteries(LSBs)represent a next-generation energy storage technology, but widespread applications are restricted by the shuttle of lithium polysulfides(LiPSs).The rational design of separators has been demonstrated to be one of the most efficient and cost-effective strategies to curb the shuttle effect, and tremendous research progress has been achieved. The efficiency of a separator depends on its interaction with LiPSs,which is governed by the surface energy and binding strength.Despite several review works that have been reported to advance the separators, most of them primarily focus on active material innovation and construction. The most crucial issues of surface binding energy have not been systematically reviewed, limiting the precise design of efficient separators. In this review, fundamentals related to surface energy and binding interactions with LiPSs are comprehensively analyzed and discussed. With surface binding and energy main lines, the advancements in separator engineering strategies are elaborately summarized and discussed. Moreover, techniques for evaluating affinity to LiPSs are thoroughly analyzed to avoid any ambiguities in measurement.Based on the research context, valuable research directions are suggested to construct efficient separators. This work provides guidelines to regulate the surface binding and energy of separators for high-performance LSBs.
