Therefore, accurately predicting multi-hazard dynamic responses to super high-rise structures has significant engineering and scientific value. This study performed a parametric global sensitivity analysis (GSA) for multi-hazard dynamic response prediction of super high-rise structures using the multiple-degree-of-freedom shear (MFS) model. Polynomial chaos Kriging (PCK) was introduced to build a surrogate model that allowed GSA to be combined with Sobol’ indices. Monte Carlo simulation (MCS) is also conducted for the comparison to verify the accuracy and efficiency of the PCK method. Parametric sensitivity analysis is performed for a wide range of aleatory uncertainty (intensities of coupled multi-hazard), epistemic uncertainty (bending stiffness, k_(m);shear stiffness, kq;density, ρ;and damping ratio, ξ), probability distribution types, and coefficients of variation. The results indicate that epistemic uncertainty parameters, k_(m), ρ, and ξ dramatically affect the multi-hazard dynamic responses of super high-rise structures;in addition, Sobol’ indices between the normal and lognormal distributions are insignificant, while the variation levels have remarkably influenced the sensitivity indices.展开更多

The authors are interested in investigating the structure and bonding in lanthanide and actinide metal complexes using 166Er, t55Gd, and 237Np Mtissbauer spectroscopies in connection with single-crystal and/or powder X-ray diffraction, making clear the differences on their structures as well as the differences in the participation of 4f and 5f orbitals in the chemical bonds. In this article, the crystal structures of two novel Gd(Ⅲ) acetylacetonato complexes, Gd(pta)3 · 2H2O (pta = 1,1,1 -trifluoro-5,5-dimethy 1-2,4-hexanedione) and Gd(bfa)3 · 2H2O (bfa = 1, 1, 1 -trifluoro-4-phenyl-2-4-butanedione) were reported. Though both of them were dihydrate and had distorted square antiprismatical structure, Gd(pta)3 · 2H2O crystallizes in the P 2 1/n (#14) monoclinic space group and its lattice parameters are a = 1.4141(6) nm, b = 1.0708(3) nm, c =2.2344(4) nm, β =952.4(2)°, and Gd(bfa)3· 2H2O crystallizes in P 212121 orthorhombic space group and its lattice parameters were a = 1.322 (1) nm, b = 2.295 (1) nm, c = 1. 0786(8) nm. In the meantime, the authors had finished a systematic investigation on the ^155Gd Mossbauer isomer shift (δ) of various Gd(Ⅲ) metal complexes having a different coordination number (C.N.) and different ratios coordinating oxygen to nitrogen. A tendency for the 6 value to decrease with an increase in the C.N, and the number of the nitrogen atom coordinating to Gd was confirmed. This indicated that the Gd-O and/or Gd-N bond in the investigated Gd(Ⅲ) metal complexes had a small covalent contribution, which was possible to be deduced from the O and/or N atoms of the lisands donating electrons to 6s, 5d, and 4f orbitals of Gd.展开更多

Therefore, a conceptual model for a concrete offshore wind turbine structure suitable for weak soils is proposed. The proposed model is composed of a prestressed concrete(PSC) supported by a pile foundation. For a three-dimensional analysis of the large concrete structure, wave pressures based on the diffraction wave theory are developed using a three-dimensional solid finite element method. Static and dynamic analyses were performed to achieve the conceptual model of a PSC structure subjected to ocean environmental loads and a 5-MW turbine load on southwest coast in Korea. From the analysis, the maximum displacement and stresses of the proposed model did not exceed the allowable values from design standard, and the first mode of natural frequency of the structure was in a safe range to avoid resonance. The proposed model has enough structural stability to withstand external loads, and it is expected to be used in locations suitable for concrete gravity structures.展开更多

文摘Seismic fragility analysis(SFA)is known as an effective probabilistic-based approach used to evaluate seismic fragility. There are various sources of uncertainties associated with this approach.A nuclear power plant(NPP)system is an extremely important infrastructure and contains many structural uncertainties due to construction issues or structural deterioration during service.Simulation of structural uncertainties effects is a costly and time-consuming endeavor.A novel approach to SFA for the NPP considering structural uncertainties based on the damage state is proposed and examined. The results suggest that considering the structural uncertainties is essential in assessing the fragility of the NPP structure, and the impact of structural uncertainties tends to increase with the state of damage.Subsequently, machine learning(ML)is found to be superior in high-precision damage state identification of the NPP for reducing the time of nonlinear time-history analysis(NLTHA)and could be applied in the damage state-based SFA.Also, the impact of various sources of uncertainties is investigated through sensitivity analysis. The Sobol and Shapley additive explanations(SHAP)method can be complementary to each other and able to solve the problem of quantifying seismic and structural uncertainties simultaneously and the interaction effect of each parameter.

文摘Double-shaft-driven needle punching machine is a specialized equipment designed for processing C/C crucible preforms. Its main needle punching module is operated by two sets of reciprocating crank-slider mechanisms. The intense vibration during needle punching not only generates huge noise, but also substantially reduces the quality of the preform. It is imperative to perform a dynamic analysis and optimization of the entire needle punching machine. In this paper, the three-dimensional(3D)model of the entire double-shaft-driven needle punching machine for C/C crucible preforms is established.Based on the modal analysis theory, the modal characteristics of the needle punching machine under various operating conditions are analyzed and its natural frequencies and vibration modes are determined. The harmonic response analysis is then employed to obtain the amplitude of the needle plate at different frequencies, and the structural weak points of the needle punching machine are identified and improved. The feasibility of the optimized scheme is subsequently reevaluated and verified. The results indicate that the first six natural frequencies of the machine increase, and the maximum amplitude of the needle plate decreases by 70.3%.The enhanced dynamic characteristics of the machine significantly improve its performance, enabling more efficient needle punching of C/C crucible preforms.

文摘In the structural reliability analysis, the first-order reliability method(FORM)often yields significant errors when addressing nonlinear problems.Although the second-order reliability method(SORM)can provide higher accuracy, the additional computation of the Hessian matrix leads to lower computational efficiency.Additionally, when the dimensionality of the random variables is high, the approximation formula of SORM can result in larger errors. To address these issues,a structural reliability analysis method based on Kriging and spherical cap area integral is proposed.Firstly, this method integrates FORM with the quasi-Newton algorithm Broyden-Fletcher-Goldfarb-Shanno(BFGS),trains the Kriging model by using sample points from the algorithm’s iteration process, and combines the Kriging model with gradient information to approximate the Hessian matrix. Then, the failure surface is approximated as a rotating paraboloid, utilizing the spherical cap to replace the complex surface. For the n-dimensional case, the hyperspherical cap area expression is combined with the integral method to calculate the failure probability. Finally, the method is validated through three examples, demonstrating improved computational accuracy and efficiency compared to traditional methods.

文摘In order to obtain high-performance electromagnetic wave absorbers, the adjustment of structure and components is essential.Based on the above requirements, this system forms a three-dimensional frame structure consisting of MXene and transition metal oxides(TMOs)through efficient electrostatic self-assembly.This three-dimensional network structure has rich heterojunction structures, which can cause a large amount of interface polarization and conduction losses in incident electromagnetic waves.Hollow structures cause multiple reflections and scattering of electromagnetic waves, which is also an important reason for further increasing electromagnetic wave losses. When the doping ratio is 1:1,the system has the best impedance matching, the maximum effective absorption bandwidth(EAB max)can reach 5.12 GHz at 1.7 mm,and the minimum reflection loss(RL_(min))is-50.30 dB at 1.8 mm.This provides a reference for the subsequent formation of 2D-MXene materials into 3D materials.

文摘This paper presents a framework for constructing surrogate models for sensitivity analysis of structural dynamics behavior.Physical models involving deformation, such as collisions, vibrations, and penetration, are devel-oped using the material point method. To reduce the computational cost of Monte Carlo simulations, response surface models are created as surrogate models for the material point system to approximate its dynamic behavior. An adaptive randomized greedy algorithm is employed to construct a sparse polynomial chaos expansion model with a fixed order, effectively balancing the accuracy and computational efficiency of the surrogate model.Based on the sparse polynomial chaos expansion, sensitivity analysis is conducted using the global finite difference and Sobol methods.Several examples of structural dynamics are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method in addressing structural dynamics problems.

文摘Some functional lanthanide metal complexes, such as acetylacetonato complexes, ethylenediaminetetraacetato complexes, were successfully applied for diagnostic technique. This indicated that the Gd-O and/or Gd-N bond in the investigated Gd(Ⅲ) metal complexes had a small covalent contribution, which was possible to be deduced from the O and/or N atoms of the lisands donating electrons to 6s, 5d, and 4f orbitals of Gd.

文摘A concrete gravity base structure may not be suitable for offshore weak soil because of its heavy weight. The proposed model has enough structural stability to withstand external loads, and it is expected to be used in locations suitable for concrete gravity structures.

文摘In previous studies,Lagrangian analyses were used to assess large-scale ocean circulation, and the Lagrangian coherent structure could also reveal the evolution of the two-dimensional structure of the mesoscale eddies. However, few studies have demonstrated the three-dimensional structure of the mesoscale eddies via Lagrangian analysis.Compared with previous studies, which investigated the eddy structure via a Eulerian view,we used a Lagrangian view to provide a different perspective to study the eddy structure. An idealized cyclonic mesoscale eddy is built up over a seamount, and it presents downwelling inside the eddy and upwelling alongside the eddy formed within a closed circulation system. This structure is difficult to display via a Eulerian analysis. However, the trajectories of particles can well demonstrate the full cycle:the fluid sank and rotated inside the eddies, converged to the upwelling zone of the bottom layer and returned to the surface through upwelling. We also applied a Lagrangian analysis to a realistic simulation. As a significant phenomenon in the South China Sea,the dipole structure of the anticyclonic eddy(AE)/cyclonic eddy(CE)pair off of central Vietnam has been well studied but mainly at the sea surface. With a Lagrangian analysis,we illustrate the three-dimensional structure of the eddy pair:the fluid sank(rose)and rotated inside the AE(CE).More importantly, the trajectories of the particles suggested that there was no fluid exchange between the two eddies since the strong boundary jet separates them from each other. All the conclusions above have been verified and are supported by the computational error estimate. With a selected time step and integral period, the computational errors always present small values, although they increase with strong divergent and vertical diffusive flow.

文摘According to the design specifications, the construction of extended piles involves traversing the tunnel’s upper region and extending to the underlying rock layer. To address this challenge,a subterranean transfer structure spanning multiple subway tunnels was proposed.Deliberating on the function of piles in the transfer structure as springs with axial and bending stiffness, and taking into account the force balance and deformation coordination conditions of beams and plates within the transfer structure,we established a simplified mechanical model that incorporates soil stratification by combining it with the Winkler elastic foundation beam model. The resolved established simplifiedmechanicalmodel employed finite difference technology and the Newton-Simpsonmethod,elucidating the mechanical mechanism of the transfer structure. The research findings suggest that the load carried by the upper structural columns can be transferred to the pile foundation beneath the beams through the transfer structure, subsequently reaching the deep soil layer and ensuring minimal impact on adjacent tunnels. The established simplified analysis method can be used for stress analysis of the transfer structure, concurrently considering soil stratification, pile foundation behavior, and plate action. The pile length, pile section size, and beam section size within the transfer structure should account for the characteristics of the upper load, ensuring an even distribution of the beam bending moment.

文摘[Objective] The research aimed to study three-dimensional structure and echo characteristic quantity of a supercell storm in central Gansu on May 30,2005.[Method] By monitoring data of Lanzhou CINRAD/CC Doppler radar, the three-dimensional structure characteristics of a rare supercell storm which happened in central Gansu on May 30,2005 were analyzed. We tried to reveal three-dimensional structure and echo characteristic index of supercell storm in the northeast of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, and find reason of rare heavy hail appearance.[Result] The large-scale strong storm was formed by the common effect of Mongolia cold vortex,low-level jet and ground cold front. When the development of main echo was mature,on reflectivity factor map,it presented obvious inverted 'V' shaped structure in left front of low-level storm, typical hooked and 'person'-type echo characteristics in the right rear. The bounded weak echo zone(vault) in low level corresponded with strong echo overhanging body in high level. It surpassed 60 dBz in the strong reflectivity factor zone.It presented one weak meso-cyclone on corresponding radial velocity map.The jumped increase characteristic of VIL could be as one of indices for judging that hail started to grow.Almost all storms(VILD ≥4.0 g/m3) had more obvious indication significance than VIL for judging heavy hail(diameter ≥20 mm).[Conclusion] The research provided reference for nowcasting of strong convection weather and artificial hail suppression.

文摘In recent years, notable progress has been achieved in both the hardware and algorithms of structured illumination microscopy(SIM).Nevertheless, the advancement of three-dimensional structured illumination microscopy(3DSIM)has been impeded by challenges arising from the speed and intricacy of polarization modulation. We introduce a high-speed modulation 3DSIM system, leveraging the polarizationmaintaining and modulation capabilities of a digital micromirror device(DMD)in conjunction with an electrooptic modulator. The DMD-3DSIM system yields a twofold enhancement in both lateral(133 nm)and axial(300 nm)resolution compared to wide-field imaging and can acquire a data set comprising 29 sections of 1024 pixels×1024 pixels, with 15 ms exposure time and 6.75 s per volume. The versatility of the DMD-3DSIM approach was exemplified through the imaging of various specimens, including fluorescent beads, nuclear pores, microtubules, actin filaments, and mitochondria within cells,as well as plant and animal tissues.Notably, polarized 3DSIM elucidated the orientation of actin filaments.Furthermore, the implementation of diverse deconvolution algorithms further enhances 3D resolution. The DMD-based 3DSIM system presents a rapid and reliable methodology for investigating biomedical phenomena, boasting capabilities encompassing 3D superresolution, fast temporal resolution, and polarization imaging.

文摘This paper proposes a novel method for analyzing a textile fabric structure to extract positional information regarding each yarn using three-dimensional X-ray computed tomography(3D CT) image.Positional relationship among the yarns can be reconstructed using the extracted yarn positional information. In this paper,a sequence of points on the center line of each yarn of the sample is defined as the yarn positional information, since the sequence can be regarded as the representative position of the yarn. The sequence is extracted by tracing the yarn. The yarn is traced by estimating the yarn center and direction and correlating the yarn part of the 3D CT image with a 3D yarn model, which is moved along the estimated yarn direction. The trajectory of the center of the yarn model corresponds to the positional information of the yarn. The application of the proposed method is shown by experimentally applying the proposed method to a 3D CT image of a double-layered woven fabric.Furthermore, the experimental results for a plain knitted fabric show that this method can be applied to even knitted fabrics.

文摘The nonlinear finite element(FE) analysis has been widely used in the design and analysis of structural or geotechnical systems. The response sensitivities(or gradients) to the model parameters are of significant importance in these realistic engineering problems. However the sensitivity calculation has lagged behind, leaving a gap between advanced FE response analysis and other research hotspots using the response gradient. The response sensitivity analysis is crucial for any gradient-based algorithms, such as reliability analysis, system identification and structural optimization.Among various sensitivity analysis methods, the direct differential method(DDM) has advantages of computing efficiency and accuracy, providing an ideal tool for the response gradient calculation. This paper extended the DDM framework to realistic complicated soil-foundation-structure interaction(SFSI) models by developing the response gradients for various constraints, element and materials involved. The enhanced framework is applied to three-dimensional SFSI system prototypes for a pilesupported bridge pier and a pile-supported reinforced concrete building frame structure, subjected to earthquake loading conditions. The DDM results are verified by forward finite difference method(FFD).The relative importance(RI) of the various material parameters on the responses of SFSI system are investigated based on the DDM response sensitivity results. The FFD converges asymptotically toward the DDM results, demonstrating the advantages of DDM(e.g.,accurate,efficient,insensitive to numerical noise).Furthermore, the RI and effects of the model parameters of structure, foundation and soil materials on the responses of SFSI systems are investigated by taking advantage of the sensitivity analysis results. The extension of DDM to SFSI systems greatly broaden the application areas of the d gradient-based algorithms,e.g.FE model updating and nonlinear system identification of complicated SFSI systems.
